I started going to Inari last year after a friend referred me to Santos Sanchez, and have been delighted with this choice! Santos is wonderful; he immediately understood what was going on with my hair and some changes I wanted to make and picked up seamlessly from my prior stylist. Santos has great suggestions re my color and products. And he’s fun, nice, and a true professional! I highly recommend Santos. Inari has done a great job of making me feel comfortable and safe in our pandemic times.

INARI is the absolute best in DC! They are so professional there and the decor is beautiful. I love the vibe in there. I’ve been there for multiple services and I’m happy with the results each time. Today I got my lashes done by Emily. They are PERFECT! I’m so happy with them. This is the first time I’ve gotten lash extensions. The process was nice and relaxing. I had no idea what I wanted and Emily worked with the shape of my eyes. She did a masterful job on them. I’m so thankful and will definitely be back.

I, of course, now consider Santos a very dear friend. Inari is a welcoming salon. The front desk team is pleasant and professional, and they always greet regular clients by name. It has a positive ambience; very updated and spotless and offers a relaxing environment.Santos has been in the hair business for a long time. I have followed him from two previous salons over that 25+ year period. There is nowhere he can go that I won’t follow! Santos is funny, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable when it comes to hair. I know that he keeps up on what’s new in cuts and color and has taken classes to stay ahead of the trends and new techniques. Santos takes a lot of pride and attention to every cut. It is an absolute pleasure to have my hair done by someone who enjoys what he does. Santos has an out-going, fun personality and I love our conversations while he works his magic.I would absolutely recommend Santos to anyone looking for a colorist / stylist who will really listen to what the client wants. I have long hair - and a lot of it - so finding someone who can cut and color it just right is difficult! Not only did Eva give me a great cut and style, but she was over the top amazing with giving me a subtle balayage that took such vision and precision, only a true artist could achieve! It turned out even better than I imagined - she is incredible. Also just a very pleasant experience overall - everyone is so kind and everything is clean and top quality. Couldn’t recommend more for color and cut!!

I have been going to Inari since the salon opened. First it was for convenience, but shortly after, Santos became my stylist. For the FIRST time, I had a stylist who listened to what I wanted as far as hair color was concerned and actually delivered! He is always very accommodating and makes great recommendations. I had my hair done by Alex and she was amazing! I initially went into my appointment with the intention of getting the Japanese Straight Perm. However, I recently had my hair bleached and so Alex recommended the Brazilian Blowout instead—especially since I wanted to keep my hair long.And I’m so glad I listened! She was super friendly and patient & definitely knew her stuff! What I loved most was how much attention and detail she put into my hair. I’m still obsessed with the end product (it’s been almost a month since I’ve had it done) and it still feels soft & silky! Huge thanks to everyone there & to Alex for making my hair much easier to manage! I will be coming back & would recommend the salon to anyone!

I’ve been coming here for years for one reason only- Israel. He is the best stylist and colorist I’ve ever encountered, and trust me, I’ve tried them all over the city and overseas as well! If you want the kind of hair that turns heads and has people stopping you to ask where you got it done, come to Israel. If you are in sore need of a makeover, or want expert advice on what works for you, ask for Israel. His skills with cut, color, highlights and blow-dry are WORTH.IT. The salon is a nice place to be, everyone treats you kindly the minute you walk in the door. Over the years I’ve brought in friends and family to see Israel, and they’ve always been happy with the results. He’s got loyal and happy clients, and I am just one of them!

The entire team at Inari is my go to for any beauty service, period. Santos is my go to for any blonde or fun color! He always makes me feel as comfortable as possible, and is sure to get my look right every single time. For a while I had avoided salons completely, and he is the one person I will trust in terms of making sure that the integrity of my hair is protected through every service. He recommends the greatest care products as well, which helps my curls stay bouncy and healthy even with blonding! My cuts are always fabulous, and perfect!!! Inari is by far the best salon in Washington D.C., and for that matter, the entire DMV area. I struggled for years to feel confident about my hair and Eva at Inari gave me the confidence boost I needed. During my consultation, I was greeted at the door with friendly service and passed along to Eva. Eva paid close to my hair issues over the years and recommended what the best possible plan would be for me so I could finally get back to loving my hair again.I ended up doing the Great Lengths Hair Extensions and Eva matched my hair to the extensions perfectly, ultimately giving me my DREAM bombshell blonde look. It has been 3 months, and I am still obsessed with my hair transformation. My hair has a perfect volume & the maintenance is so easy! You treat your extensions as if they were your own hair. The best part - there is ZERO DAMAGE. The extensions grow with your hair.I truly couldn’t recommend a salon more. If you’re looking for incredible staff and top of the line services, Inari is your place.

Israel is indisputably a master hair stylist. I came with tons of screen shots, knowing what I liked but not exactly what I wanted and ultimately left it up to his expertise to decide what would look best/low maintenance/lay right and I couldn’t be more pleased! Sitting in his chair is therapy- it’s hair-apy. And he is as pleasant and refined a person as he is a skilled stylist. I left with perfect ash highlights, like baby hair at the end of a summer spent in the sun, and a killer cut. Worth every cent and every minute. Ps. My hair is thick stubborn Asian hair so if you’re looking for someone who knows how to treat this type of hair, look no further.

I LOVED my visit @ the INARI salon! It was very clean and safe, they checked my temp at the door when they greeted me. I got a Brazilian blowout by Alex and she was amazing. Beautiful salon, excellent service and communication. Emily kept in touch with me throughout my tape-in hair extension process and even over-night ordered the specific tape for my extensions! My stylist, Eva, placed and styled my extensions PERFECTLY. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! You walk into this establishment feeling already part of their family. Aside from the amazing talent housed in this gorgeous and modern salon, they also sponsor and support young women across DC, MD, and VA - the Miss International Pageant state title holders. A truly caring and empowering small business doing good.

I loved my experience at INARI! The services ranging from waxing, to lashes, to hair were amazing. Even the hair washing and head massage! Speechless. This was my first time at Inari and it was AMAZING. A friend recommended it to me while looking for a new salon in DC. Everything was great, from the minute I walked in the door until I left. I was very pleased with how they were handling business during the pandemic. They took my temperature when I walked in and had hand sanitizer at the front desk. Every employee was wearing a mask. They had dividers between each salon chair and the stylists were spaced out graciously.My stylist, Santos, was ready for me as soon as I got there. He was polite and professional. He was very patient with me. He took the time to listen to what I wanted done (Im VERY particular about my hair) and look through the pictures of the ideas that I had. He explained everything he was going to do and got started.The entire staff was super friendly. I was offered drinks and consistently checked on while my color was setting. Everyone/everything was distanced and cleaned appropriately.AND on top of the health and safety precautions and the nice staff- my hair looks GORGEOUS. Santos did an amazing job coloring and cutting my hair the way I envisioned- while also keeping it healthy. I am so happy to have found my new hair salon home! :) 10/10 will recommend Inari (& Santos!) to everyone.

A wonderful salon/spa right near a metro and the White House. Social distancing and protective measures are in effect! There is plexi between the chairs, and the staff stay masked. I felt very safe the whole time and got a lovely shampoo and haircut. Ask for Melissa, she is the sweetest hairdresser in DC ❤

I have been to many salons and this one is the best. It’s usually very hard for me to trust stylists since I have a lot of hair and I’ve had poor experiences with stylists mistreating my hair and making me feel super uncomfortable about it. My stylist Israel is extremely knowledgeable and has always treated me with care. My favorite thing of course is the scalp massage when they are shampooing my hair. Highly recommend!

Ava at INARI is amazing. She is friendly, passionate and extremely talented. I dont trust many people with my hair. But after we had a consultation about my hair goals, she reassured me not to worry and told me her HONEST opinion! I brought in a picture and walked out with the SAME cut I wanted which was identical to the photo! I got a dry cut from her and she cut over 6 inches off of my hair so it wasnt just a trim. I would recommend the salon/ Ava any day!

Let me start by saying I am extremely particular about my hair and I’ve patronized over a dozen salons in the city in the past ten years looking for my “Goldilocks zone” of an experience. I hadn’t had any hair treatments since basically February due to quarantine and decided I needed a color treatment and wanted to give a Brazilian blowout a shot to combat the heat and humidity and also improve the shine and condition of my long hair. I googled the top salons in the city for this service and settled on inari. I am SO glad I made this decision. They were very accommodating with scheduling my appointment and asked me several questions about my expectations for the Brazilian blowout, which gave me the impression that they really customize the service to their clients’ hair and needs. I had a truly lovely experience today and I rarely write reviews but just felt inspired to give this female-owned and operated business a shout out. My stylist, Eva, could not have been more kind and professional. She truly is passionate about what she does and is extremely knowledgeable. I have had keratin treatments in the last that I felt did not take to my hair and were ultimately a waste of money. Eva listened to all my concerns and absolutely delivered on results. Also shout out to Blanca who has a divine gift with her hands when she shampoos you. Lastly I want to acknowledge the gracious owner, Mai, who checked in with me mid-treatment. She explained that although she had been working at the salon for a decade, she took ownership two years ago. She and her lovely daughter run the salon and it’s always clear when there’s a healthy environment in a business from top down. Everyone who works there was so warm and kind and I genuinely felt they appreciated my business and moreover, cared that I had the best experience possible. I think they run an excellent salon and I can’t wait to give them my support and business for all my hair care needs. I have been going to this Salon for years. Santos is my stylist and he is hands down amazing! He does my color and cut and always knows what to do with my hair even if I dont. He really listens to my hair goals then guides to me to what he thinks will look best and it always comes out perfect! The salon is super cute, clean and inviting. I have also tried lash extensions for a special occasion I was going to. Emily did them and it was a beautiful job. She is very detailed and I absolutely loved the look! I highly recommend this Salon for any service as Ive only had excellent experiences here.

Inari is a hidden gem hiding in plain sight 😅 I must have walked past this place a million times and went there for the first time this weekend. The inside is decorated beautifully. Because of covid, they put up barriers between stations which I think is very thoughtful. They also gave me a disposable mask so I didn’t get hair dye on my mask! Alex cut and colored my hair and she did a fabulous job. I have been getting my hair dyed black for some time now and Alex is the first colorist to ask me what “kind” of black I would like, so you know they pay attention to detail here. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone but especially if you work in downtown DC it is extremely convenient.

I love INARI Salón because they have wonderful customer service, friendly people and amazing styles. Emily at the front desk always makes clients feel valued and respected, she always greets you with a smile on her face. INARI Salon has amazing hair stylist. However, Israel is the true master. He is supremely talented, not only technically but I trust his aesthetic vision in finding the right cut that will compliment my face shape. He takes care to listen to my wishes and is always kind and never rude. I feel comfortable sending my friends to him for a nice makeover 😁. I constanly get compliments on my haircuts. Go see them, you wont be desappointed!

I rarely write reviews but because the service was exceptional I could not help it -Spa Pedicure1. Spa Pedicure Service probably one of the best services I have received anywhere. Yes they use a covering clean liner for the tub every new customer, the nail technician cleaned any dirts under over the toe nails and professionally cleaned every single toe nail. She took her time in making sure it was really clean. The scrub, paraffin was, and the stones felt great on my feet 🦶. The water temperature was perfect throughout the service.2. The location was convenient and as I walked into the salon I felt welcomed. Clean restroom . I was offered tea or water, lemon tea was good, the whole place was spotless even thought I was there around 7pm. The staff was friendly and professional.3. All 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ earned. Linda is the best! I highly recommend spa pedicure from this location.

Do not go for undercuts.Staff was great and accommodating. Felt very high end as I was there.I have an undercut and drop into any nearby barber or salon to get it shaved every few weeks and havent had an issue getting a clean up for less than $15. My hairdresser at Inari put my hair in a loose ponytail and began shaving. I trusted that the salon was luxury enough that I didnt have to be concerned. Quite a bit of my hair was taken off, growing my undercut by about 1/2 inch all around and quite high on my ears. My growth is about 2 feet and it can take over 2 years to grow my hair back to length. I paid a total of $30 for this shave.I wish more care had been taken to protect my length when using shears set at 0. Disappointed to have lost that hair and hope to find a hairdresser somewhere else that can help me regain some of that growth.This salon doesnt seem able to accommodate undercuts so please dont go for this service, it was not mentioned to me that this was not a comfortable service for the hairdressers.

I moved to D.C. 18 months ago and this is where I first came. I have a vibrant dark red hair color that most stylists cant seem to match and it is very frustrating... not here though, Santos is nothing short of a miracle worker! Ive had facials here also. Last weekend, I got great lengths extensions by Gary. Amazing! They are a tad too long so I am going to go back today for a trim, but everyone loves the color and nobody can tell they are extensions!The staff, especially the woman at the front desk, the nicest woman ever! Always remembers exactly who I am when I call and come in! I dont know how she does it! I had stopped coming due to travel for a good chunk of time and I called for extensions and she remembered who I was over the phone and as soon as I walked in. I cant believe how nicely treated every customer is here! Best salon in the DMV! One of the best salons I have ever been to!

Excellent service. You can tell how much they care by the way they pay attention to detail. For example, the phone’s always answered. The place is always clean and fresh, including the restroom. Even the sugar packets by the coffee machine are meticulously arranged!How can you not love this place?

Linda did a beautiful job on my dip nails. Very friendly and a quick worker, was able to get it in on my lunch break, and I dont feel the quality suffered at all! Tip is in cash, so dont forget to have some handy!

I went and got my eyelash extensions done by Emily. She was amazing and the procedure was very comfortable and clean! Before the procedure, she explained to me what she was going to do and answered all my questions. I like that she actually talked to me throughout the procedure and made sure that I was warm and comfortable since it is an hour and a half procedure. The eyelashes added a lot of volume to my thin eyelashes and I have gotten a lot of compliments on them! I will definitely come back for touch-ups!

The Express pedi with manicure is a lunchtime must! Very friendly and clean full service salon. Everyone treats you very well and Linda is an amazing manicurist. She pays close attention to detail, and my nails are perfection.

My husband surprised me with a day at Inari and all I can say is WOW! What a wonderful experience, pleasant conversation and staff that go the extra mile! Linda did my manicure and pedicure and she did an amazing job! Mai does a skin analysis and uses products to suit your skin. I have very sensitive skin so im sceptical about having a facial but my skin was so soft, rehydrated and glowing! When you see Mai and her daughter Emilys amazing skin, youll know you in good hands! Ava gave me highlights, wash, cut and blow and the results were stunning. Exactly how I imagined it! She is extremely talented and a great conversationalist as well 🙂 In sum, if you in DC, I would highly recommend paying them a visit! Thanks to the team for really helping me relax after such a stressful time❤️

Fantastic experience! I was in town for a work event and they squeezed me in for eyelash extensions and even stayed late to provide a mani/pedi to help me relax for a big meeting. I will definitely be back next time I am in DC. Clean salon, professional services and amazing hospitality.

Before going on vacation to Europe I visited Inari and had lash extensions applied. What a good choice! I didnt have to use liner or mascara the entire trip and got so many compliments on the lashes. The staff was very nice and no pushy sales. I will definitely use them again.

Inari is the Neiman Marcus of salons.Except for the occasional lipstick, I dont do make up. For me, its all about the brows and lashes. Go here for eyebrow microblading, eyelash extensions, waxing, manicures/pedicures.Before I did microblading, Mai shaped and waxed my brows (and upper lip). And I never felt the need to use an eyebrow pencil because my brows were full enough, and I often got compliments. But as I got older, they started to thin out. I tried to use a pencil, but they’d look lopsided and uneven. I didn’t have the patience.Mai kept encouraging me to give microblading a try. And she did a really impressive job. So many women have paid me compliments about the shape of my brows, asking me where I go for waxing/threading. When I tell them it’s microblading, they are stunned by how natural it looks. You really can’t tell that it’s microblading.Mai and Emily do my eyelash extensions. They are both fantastic. But I have a slight preference for Emily because has figured out how to do the extensions even when my eyeballs are restless. If I don’t fall asleep when Mai is doing my eyelashes, it can take a bit longer because I’m not relaxed. I get compliments ALL THE TIME about my lashes. Both Mai and Emily have a great technique. They are thoughtful about what length to use for what part of the eye, and ask about what I’m doing over the next several weeks. If theres a big social event, then they go w/ a range of longer lashes. If I have nothing major on the horizon, then they just do a “basic.” But there’s nothing basic about it. Because of their magic, when I wake up in the mornings, I do my skin routine and that’s it. AND women friends and colleagues often remark how lucky I am that I’m pretty without make up.Only because of Mai and Emily.Linda’s new to the team. I can’t remember who the nail technician was before Linda, but because I didn’t think she was very good, I went to another place in Cleveland Park. But Linda is incredible. She does great manicures and pedicures.To give you context for my review above:When I find a place that works, I stay with it until it doesnt.Here’s an example. Im 43 and since 18, when I went to college, Ive had only 5 hairstylists. FIVE in TWENTY-FIVE years. And if life circumstances hadnt gotten in the way, I would have fewer. (Let me explain. When I was a very chubby 9-year-old, my mom asked my aunt to both give me a perm and cut off a lot of my hair (WTF). I ended up with basically a boy’s undercut and messed up permed hair on top. When I went to school the following Monday, my classmates thought I was a new kid. And they thought I was a boy. Do you know what that kind of experience does to a very chubby 9-year-old girl?!)When I was a mere Freshman, a Senior who I was in awe of suggested I go to her stylist, Cory on Newbury Street. For 2 years after college, when living all over the country on a rotational management program, I flew back to Boston to see Cory (and of course, friends). Then when I went to law school in Berkeley, I was too broke to fly cross-country regularly. An Asian lawyer whose hairstyle I admired recommended a salon on Union Street. I fell in love w/ her stylist, but she was planning on moving to Spain. Before leaving, she suggested I see Willie. He did my hair for several years, even after I moved to DC post-graduation. (Every 6-8 weeks, on a Saturday, I took a 6a flight out and immediately after arriving at SFO, I went straight to see Willie. I should note that my parents live in the Bay Area, so I had other good reasons to make these weekend trips.) I was skeptical about getting my hair done in DC bc I didnt see many examples of Asian women whose hairstyle I liked. Eventually this became too challenging of a schedule. But Willie explained that as long as I go to someone Vidal-Sassoon trained, Id be ok. And thats how I was with Nathan for several years until he moved to San Diego. Before leaving, he suggested I see Olive, and I’ve been with her since.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I went to get my hair done here recently. Showed exactly what I wanted to be done, but I guess they had their own idea of what should be done. I paid $350 to have my hair ruined. Even after I was very clear on what I wanted. Without consent and 4 hours they did whatever they wanted and overcharged me for it. I would never go back here. They take no direction and overcharge way too much for average service. Save yourself the time and money and please go somewhere else.What a waste...

I travel often and have visited PLENTY salons....and its always hit or miss. This place is DEFINITELY a HIT! Went for pedicure and acrylic nail refill. My nails are probably the most natural looking since I put them on! Ask for Tony!! Everyone else on the staff were super nice, accommodating and me me feel quite relaxed!

I trust him completely and he is an amazing person as well as stylist. I always get compliments after I get my hair done. The salon owner Onie, knows all Her clients by name and takes pride and care so each person has a relaxing experience. Blanca gives the best scalp massage too when she washes your hair. All around a great experience always.

Superbly managed salon. I was very impressed when I first called a few years back when I was looking for an eyelash stylist, and Ive been hooked since! Not only that a real person answered the phone, but the owner Onie explained in great detail about the process and the salons experience with eyelash extensions. A few years later, Im still a loyal customer because of the consistently excellent customer service: always answering the phone during business hours, clear yet respectful communication with reminders/follow-ups, and cleanliness. They also dont push sales and are honest about pros/cons when you inquire about other services offered by the salon.I cant comment on hair coloring/cut since I had already found an amazing hair dresser (Kamiya-A) before I started coming to Inari. But I highly recommend this place for these specialty items: eyelash extensions, permanent makeup, and Brazilian hair treatment for damaged hair.All in all, one of the best salons in DC!

I went to INARI salon to get the Japanese Straightening since my hair has been giving a hard time as I just moved to DC, I decided to leave a review once I wash my hair and see the results, first of all the staff working there are amazing, so friendly and nice and everyone is smiling, they also social as they want to get to know their customers which is a great way to build customer relationships to keep them going to their salon, I was there for more than 5 hours and they even offered me food and kept checking up one, I also did my nails and the lady was great, I did pay a huge amount of money but it was worth it, the results were amazing as I washed my hair today and didnt need to blow dry or straighten it, it has a glow too and I love it, also the trimming I got was perfect as I wasnted straight level hair, sadly I cannot remember the name of the girl who did my hair, Im more than positive that I will become a regular customer
