My girlfriend went to this location In Northwest DC today and had a horrible experience, I feel really bad for her because she said they were done really bad and now shes crying because she has to go out like that in public. She was not satisfied with the service there and still had to pay 80$! Overall this place is overpriced and terrible seeing from the other reviews and my girlfriends experience.

The best salon in the adams Morgan area. Very clean does very nice work. Offers unlimited mimosa everyone is friendly and attentive. Mainly manicures / gel manicures. Not really the place to go if you want nails with designs as most of their workers doesn’t work with acrylic and designs if you want basic gel polish on acrylic nails then yes

I went here to get a Brazilian wax done and while the lady who did it was nice, she overly waxed an area that caused my skin “down there” to become raw and split like a minor cut. Ouch!! Not to mention I get Brazilian waxing all the time so it’s not my first rodeo and I know what to expect. I was very disappointed since I had heard great things about this salon and wanted to try it out. But no thanks I will be sticking to the spa I normally go to for my Brazilian.

This is a lovely nail salon and nicely located in the ADMO area. So it is conveniently close to food and drinks afterwards. Henry is a very patient and nice nail tech. Henry really cares about what he is doing. The other techs are nice and polite as well. Their color options are out of this world!! They have every color you could possibly imagine it is honestly overwhelming lol It is bit on the expensive side but you do get drinks such as mimosa, wine, tea, coffee, etc. And it is located in ADMO so it is expected. This is my go to spot. Ask for Henry, you won’t be disappointed!

Mimosa Nails is THE place to get your nails done in Northwest DC! I got a full set with a combination of gel polish and encapsulation. It took my nail technician about 2 hours, but the results were great! She did a great job shaping and was gentle on my nails. There was a chill, nice vibe about the salon, but it was very busy--definitely call and make an appointment before you come in. I did this the day of and was fine.

Solid place to get your nails done and a mimosa... or two 🤭. They have a ridiculous amount of nail colors lol! At least three walls dedicated to gel. My nail tech did a great job on my nails and I have no complaints. They did take a decent amount of time (~ 2 hours for me and 2.5 for my sister... we were the first ones in the store) so don’t make any plans after. Check them out!

I’ve visited this salon for years, but disappointed with the staff’s commitment to safety during Covid. The staff member who greeted me was not wearing a mask. 3 of the 4 staff members waiting for customers in the back were talking and not wearing masks correctly and 1 not at all. The front door sign about masks being required at all times does not seem to be followed by the team. They have installed barriers at the manicure stations and my direct experience with my nail tech was professional and appropriate but I was very uncomfortable with the environment and won’t be returning.

Edit: It’s a new year and I’m still mad about the full set I received here. Shape was so bad. Nails were so thick. The tech cut my real nails all the down just to add acrylic nails (You don’t have to do that all). Anyways, don’t go here. Never. Ever. 0/10. Bad idea.

My new favorite nail salon! Have a refreshing mimosa while you get your nails done in the most artistic way. They offer SNS in ombré! Not many salons offer that technique yet so I was happy to find one that executed it well. Little pricey, but most decent salons around here are and you get what you pay for. I’ve tried going to cheaper salons and they have either cut my skin or the nails looked awful. I’d much rather pay more to be satisfied. Also the SNS job here is done so well it last for about a month.

Average work! An additional $8 for a different color on each nail. Why? Whats the reasoning? Same amount of fingers. Same amount of polish. I havent been to a shop that charges this fee. I didnt complain just paid but wont be back. That $8 took from his tip. He had to settle for $5..ijs

I was NOT AT ALL satisfied with the work that was done. Especially not for the price. I got a pedicure with a French tip add on, which came up to about $45. Then I got a gel acrylic full set $60🙄🙄 not to mention they were short nails -anywhere else in DC you’ll be better off paying $20-35. I got diamonds on two fingers (initially he quoted $10 for both), but when it came to payment time he said it was 10 for EACH nail......SERIOUSLY not at all worth the price!!! Spend your money elsewhere if you want quality work while also saving yourself money!!

I came here before going on vacation to Hawaii. Not a bad job, I guess. They have a pretty decent gel polish selection (lots of OPI) and then I also got a pedicure. I never get anything fancy so unless you cut my cuticles wrong, it’s hard to disappoint. My total was like $70, so pretty normal. They play some cool videos that show you how to make things that you probably never would’ve thought to make. It’s in Adams Morgan so parking isn’t the best.Giving it three stars because i just didn’t feel welcomes. They didn’t offer me a mimosa, or even a damn water. Sounds petty, I know - but It’s called the mimosa bar, but yet I wasn’t offered a mimosa. I finally asked for one because I saw a few women with them and the lady said “it’ll be five dollars!”. I thought to myself that’s odd, I thought it was free, but said umm, okay... that’s fine. Then she started laughing and said it was a joke. Honestly I even don’t think I cracked a smile.I have no desire to return. I only took a photo of my nails as I was walking out.

Normally I am a big fan of Mimosa which is why I am giving it three stars but tonight I had the worst experience there. I arrived with a friend and we were told there was a 20 minute wait. After the twenty minute wait we were taken back to pedicure chairs and given the complimentary sparkling wine. My friend then proceeded to wait about 15 minutes before her pedicurist began, while I had to wait 30 minutes. What was supposed to be a 20-minute wait became a 50-minute wait. I had to ask when someone would be coming given the wait before my pedicurist arrived. He then rushed through my pedicure, barely working on the soles of my feet. At mimosa there are pedicure types and once they’ve clipped your toes they give you a list of pedicures to choose which you’d like. I was not given a choice, instead he rushed through the basic pedicure ostensibly to make up time from my wait. After my pedicure finished I went to have my gel nails done which was mostly fine except again he rushed quite a bit, leading to him nicking my finger creating a cut. It was a busy night and they clearly had too many customers but rather than providing accurate wait times I ended up waiting 30 minutes past what I was told and subjected to a rushed pedicure.

Absolutely my favorite place in the city. Theyve been spoiling me for the past 5 years or so. You can get wine or champagne during your service which is always a plus. Depending on the nail tech, your nails will always come out looking immaculate. I usually get the gel manicure (beware of the $20 fee) but I wear a lot of sneakers and it just lasts longer.

This salon might be good for a traditional polish manicure, but I came here for a dipping powder manicure and they totally butchered it. They dont apply dipping powder correctly, the whole point is that its healthy for your nails and preserves the nail bed - but they wanted to drill my nail bed before applying. I had to request that they not do that and they argued with me that the tips wouldnt stay on if they didnt drill. The tech was not good at shaping the nails during filing, and in the end result was a very bumpy, unprepared finish on the nail. I will be getting them removed ASAP.

Came in on the 27th to get an SNS mani and a gel pedi. The gel pedi was great, speedy and efficient (and still going strong)- the SNS mani was a different story. I had a lot of trouble communicating what I wanted to the staff and the lady also couldnt explain what their happy hour deal was, which I thought I was getting. They also offered complimentary champagne. This was my first time getting SNS so I didnt know exactly what to expect. I was also a little buzzed (thanks champagne) so I did not immediately pick up on certain issues. The nail tech did not sanitize my hands prior to service, but immediately began buffing and shaping. They also dipped my nails directly into the powder jar (instead of a separate container). I got a pink ombre with medium/long-ish coffin shaped nails. It took a lot longer than I expected but the nail tech seemed really focused on getting a perfect shape. The end result was gorgeous, but I think I overpaid. (total $125 before tip), maybe it was because I asked for ombre (or maybe the nail tips which I didnt request), but it definitely was not what was on the price list.A couple days after I noticed a couple of the nails are lifting which means the tips were not placed on well, so they are getting debris caught under them. Its been two weeks and it is almost time for a fill but Im debating bothering to get them filled at a different salon or taking them off all together since there are probably greenies at this point. Regardless, I wont return here and would not recommend it, they are not clean and there a cheaper spots. Will update if I find a fungus or my nail falls off.

Horrible service. Just left there with awful nails. They wouldnt listen to what I was saying about the color I wanted. I was rushed. I couldnt understand what they were saying either. I wanted a simple purple glitter gel manicure and I got dark purple with silver globs and circles. Paid full price. I voiced my concerns and the woman said no multiple times to me. She had other appointments more important I guess. Now I have to go find someone who cares and will listen. I know, sounds like first world problems but this is my only treat to myself every month. And its not cheap. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere, anywhere else.

I wish I could give zero stars. My daughter, myself and friend Josh went here on a Saturday right when they opened. There was a wait and the lady said she was calling technicians to come in, but no one was answering. After waiting about 20 minutes or so, she comes back to us and is like “we only have techs here for appointments so you will be waiting a while.” I asked her if they accepted walk ins and she said yes. OKAY SO why do you only have techs there for appointments and no one to help the walk ins? ACCEPT APPOINTMENT ONLY THEN! We left, and went to the mimosa salon on Connecticut. Bad taste. Horrible. I feel she just didn’t want to service the three black patrons that day.

I go here often and usually my service is great! When you get SNS or Gel you get a 10 day warranty on your nails. Two of my nails broke before the ten days and the other nails were starting to lift. The guy who redid my nails was obviously upset he had to redo my nails. He said nothing to me the entire time, I was offered nothing to drink, he did not get all of the old set off, and rushed through the entire process to hurry and get me out. I paid 50 dollars just for my hands originally and of course I want it to last but had I know it was going to be so Uncomfortable to get them fixed I would have went some where else and paid to get them re done!

After reading reviews for the various mimosa salons, I booked a mani pedi with Holly at the Adams Morgan location. Everyone was very nice, and Holly took me right away upon my arrival. However, the quality of the work was beyond subpar.Holly seemed to try to be detail oriented, but the first issue occurred when she barely pushed my cuticles back. I told her that my cuticles grow quickly, so despite weekly manicures, there is a lot to cut beciase I like my nails completely free of excess cuticles.I chose this salon beciase they cut cuticles (unlike many others in DC), so I expected a thorough cleaning. My cuticles are still all over my nails; she put an oil on to mask them, but they’re there. The painting is okay, but she did leave potions of my fingers painted.Needless to say I opted out of the pedi. All in all it’s not horrible for $15, but I will not be coming back. When I ask for a manicure I expect my nails to be clean and free of octucles afterward. This was a waste of time.
