They use separate cups for the dip powder and sanitize those as well. My manicurist Trim did an excellent job, nails were not thick. Even convinced my friend who didn’t like powder to give it a try!

$176...2 days later - 3 nails have popped off! I asked her not to drill, she drilled anyway. The finished product was lumpy and not smooth at all.The Specials advertised outside are false and they will try to nickel and dime you for everything...and you wont find out until until you pay. I dont mind paying top dollar for quality, but this place is far from a quality nail salon. Go ANYWHERE else!Edited to reply to owner Roberto Brown: we were charged $50 + $5 for tips + $5 for almond shape. The lady checking us out informed us that the $42 didnt apply. So, please advise her that she charged us incorrectly. Again, I dont mind paying for quality, but I have 3 missing nails and my daughter has 2 missing nails...after just only 2 days. From the picture, you can see the lumps in the nails. Clearly, the nail tech was not skilled and she also didnt charge us correctly.

Great place and easy to make an appointment!! My nails look great and were done in no time. All of the staff is very friendly and accommodating! The atmosphere is calm and relaxing. The price is very reasonable as well. I will definitely be back when in town again.

Deep Blue did an amazing job! I got a classic pedicure and SNS. This was my first time doing SNS but now I’m hooked. They were clean and attentive to detail. I will definitely be going back.

My friend and I made an appointment for a pedicure at 6:45pm on this past Thursday. Even though we had an appointment, we had to wait an HOUR for our service to start. The staffing and scheduling of this salon is horrible. The owner will never say no to anyone and will over book, or start doing service on walk ins even though other people have appointments, and when we arrived they had no staff available to do our pedicure. No realistic expectation of the time frame would be for the wait. She kept saying she would be with us soon, our pedicures started a whole HOUR after the time of our appointment which is a complete lack of respect for people’s times. There are discounted prices Monday through Friday promoted with a sign in front of the salon AND their website, which is why we went there and why went on a Thursday, but the owner plays crazy at time of checking out when asked how much the pedicure was she told us the full price, not the special week day prices advertised. We had to ask about them and demand that price which is unprofessional of her and ilegal to advertise one price and then charge another. For the lack of consideration for our time and making us wait a whole HOUR, she offered only a 15% discount. She could’ve done better. She then had the audacity to ask for a tip….we left no tip. But here’s a tip for the owners: if people make an appointment for a specific time and they arrive on time and you make them an hour, you’re not running your business well and you lost two customers who will never go back and who live in the same neighborhood less than a quarter mile away and will now go elsewhere because of your lack of respect for people’s time. Ridiculous.

Salon is friendly, technicians are knowledgeable, the nail work is beautiful, and the place is super clean. So glad to have found Deep Blue Nails.

I dont usually leave reviews but the services I received from Deep Blue couldnt go without one. Yen Li, Robert and another sweet technician provided us with top-tier pedicures and assured our safety with their sanitizing procedures. Yen gave me the best pedicure to where I had to go back the next day for a matching manicure. If I could drive all the way from NC just to get their services again I absolutely would!

Clean, professional, always excellent service. Gets very busy during weekday evenings, even with an appointment you can end up waiting. So better to time your coming when it’s less crowded, but I always walk out very satisfied.

I used to absolutely LOVE this place and recommended it to all of my friends. Some of the technicians are amazing and provide nail sets that last over 4 weeks(!!) I said goodbye to my old salon after being a customer there for 5 years because of how detail and customer oriented this salon was. The kind man who helps schedule appointments and the manager of the salon are great. If you make an appointment ask for her.I started coming here when salons were struggling and not seeing a lot of customers because of covid but now that the world is opening up, the same customer service is dwindling. Word to the owner, keep your regulars happy and make sure all technicians have the same attention to detail.I’m headed back to my old salon as they run on time at the very least. Very disappointed as this had become “my place.”

I wanted to try a different Salon as I have tried a few salons since I have been in DC with varying results. The attendant who did my powder nails did such a superb job that they stayed on for 21 days and were simple to take off with minimal damage to my nails (its impossible to not damage the nail at all given the treatment i selected). She was precise and exacting and my nails were remarked upon by all who saw them. Her pedicure was also excellent and precisely done.I also did a massage, and it was done by a different attendant who did an amazing job.I left greatly pleased with all three services, the cleanliness of the spa environment, the sanitation of the implements used, and the professional and courteous behavior of both attendants.

I have been going to Deep Blue Nails ever since I moved here, and they do not disappoint. My shellac manicure can magically last up to two weeks perfectly. The people who work here and so nice and welcoming - and they do a great job at what they do. They are also very COVID conscious. Def will not be going anywhere else for my nail duties!!

I had been going to Mimosa for a long time. I got a pedicure and gel manicure. This place is similar pricing and much better quality. I went to Jo Ann and she did an amazing job. So clean, very meticulous, and high attention to detail.

The staff at Deep Blue is the BEST! My nails chipped a couple days after my gel manicure, and they readily repaired. Stellar service every day with a clean, gorgeous interior.

I visited this spa for a full set and pedicure and not only was everyone working there very kind and professional, but they are taking many measures to protect clients against COVID-19. 12/10 recommend for incredible nails, kind people and a clean salon!!!

I got the classic manicure. It was fast and the technician was thorough. She messed up on one nail but fixed it very quickly. The only reason I dont give a 5 star is because she tried to up sell me multiple times. I want a relaxing experience and I find that annoying. However, I would go back.

I was surprised that this spa did not include tables you could get your nails done but rather a long bar, which was very uncomfortable to sit at while your waiting for your nails to get dry. I also dont think the technicians are very skilled as I ended up filing my nails myself. I was also a bit surprised that I had to pay full price for my service even though there was a sign outside that read 15% off ALL services.

Coming into this place is like walking through fancy 5 star hotel, everything was just so clean and new it felt like I was a princess getting my nails done. Love this place

Im amending my initial review to give props to the Deep Blue salon for all of their COVID precautions and safety practices. I was initially hesitant to return to a nail salon during the pandemic. However, Ive been here numerous times since their reopening and have felt very safe. They immediately check your temperature upon entering and everyone has to complete a COVID risk questionnaire and wash hands before receiving services. Hand sanitizer and cleaning products are available all over the salon, and all of the cleaning tools and color palettes are visibly being sanitized. Masks are worn by everyone. You will see the staff diligently wiping down surfacing on a regular basis throughout the salon. If you want a salon where you can feel safe as you enjoy being pampered, this is the place to be.I’ve gone to Deep Blue Nails & Spa twice since their opening and have been very impressed with the quality and consistency of service both times. The salon is bright, clean, and modern. As someone who is very meticulous about sanitation practices in nail salons, I was immediately put at ease. In addition to using plastic liners in their bowls, they also use disposable jets that are discarded after each client. The environment is relaxed and friendly. I definitely plan to make this salon my new go-to spot!
