I have used multiple people at capital waxing for manicures and pedicures and have never been disappointed. As a new resident of DC it is so nice to find my home base for all my salon needs. Ryan is great w hair and there is always someone happy to help me with my mani and pedicure needs. I have been so happy I took the risk of trying micro blading for my eye brows. Leslie did a life changing job. You won’t be disappointed.

Amazing experience. I did the chest and tummy hair removal. It felt great and very relaxing. The warm gel that’s used soothes the skin. Kelly was very professional, great conversation and very easy on the eyes. I recommend this place to anyone looking for efficient and quick hair removal.

Leslie does a phenomenal job with waxing. Have been seeing her for years, and she’s always professional, efficient and quick but thorough. Also appreciate the mask mandate is enforced in the salon.

I love getting my mani pedis from here. I used to come monthly before the pandemic and never had a had a bad experience. I just returned for the first time in over a year. The staff is always very accommodating and welcoming. They even remembered me!

Ryan is the best hair stylist in DC. He is so patient, professional, and client focused. I met him through a referral after being denied elsewhere, and my orange bleaching disaster of a hair was fixed right up by Ryan. After the salon closed, he still stayed because he wanted to take time to treat my hair, cut, blow dry, and even curl it! Ryan is the BEST!

This is the worst place ever. I made an appointment and was told that since my stylist was sick Id have to wait 15 mins for a open slot. I waited an hour and was continued to be told to wait a little more. They were extremely unprofessional and lied to me.

Super great experience! First time there and will definitely be back. Walked in and was seen less than 5 minutes later. Dip powder removal and new application only for $45 plus tip. They were super nice and friendly the whole time, all with a very clean studio. I actually ended up forgetting my wallet and was able to use PayPal or venmo!

Typically when I go here I get an acrylic fill in and each time as been pretty good. They are pretty fast and they take care when painting each nail so the polish doesnt get on your skin, look bubbly, or uneven. I rated a four star because with my most recent service, the acrylic didnt have a strong hold to the base of my nail so a couple started to come up just 4 days after getting them done. Still, I would recommend.

Love this place. Vivian is the best nail artist I have ever been to and I have been getting my nails done for a long time. She knows me and my style better than I know myself! I almost always let her pick the color and she has never disappointed. I genuinely feel relaxed and enjoy myself whenever I go. Also, I get a full set, shaped in an hour or less which is unheard of. I will always recommend this place (and Vivian) for anyway looking for a city nail salon.

Waxing was quick... painful but quick lol

I actually really like it here. The technicians don’t speak perfect English but they understand what I want every time I go. I do my nails with the SNS powder but wear them short and they have never broken, and they last for al least 3 weeks! The girls are all very nice and accommodating. The place is clean and big, and I do recommend it.

I first started going to Leslie 4 or so years ago before she opened this salon. After our first appointment, I became a devoted client and have never gone anywhere else since. The place is meticulously clean, organized, and relaxing - I love that I can come here and know that Im always in good hands.

I followed Ryan Nguyen to Capital Waxing Salon from the Last Tangle. Ryan is a wonderful stylist. He is focused on making his clients happy and does incredible work. Hes very good with people (like me) who often as for just a little more off or making the color slightly darker - hes patient, kind, and professional. He has been doing my balayage for at least two years and at this point, I dont want anyone else to do it! It always looks like a wonderful, even when I neglect to get it updated as often as Id like. Saw the reviews so decided to give it a go. I’m very particular when it comes to my nails, & usually never find a good salon that I can consistently go to always have my nails done, but Jennifer did that today!! She took her time, I had not cuts on my cuticles I usually have the bad luck & always get cuts & my fingers tend to be very sensitive afterwards that the filling hurts. I told her I wanted squared & they came out PERFECT. Very squared very straight no mess no cuts perfect SNS! Overall had a wonderful first time experience definitely coming here for my next refill! 💅🏼💆🏻‍♀️💕

Went in today for a Fill-in and was scheduled with Andy. I was nervous because it was my first time in that salon. I had the BEST experience. Andys technique was effective and he was very careful but confident. He showed me the difference between his technique and other places. Ill definitely be back! Im so surprised!

You may think its weird to go to Capital Waxing Salon for a mens haircut. I did too. I was wrong. This was hands down the best haircut Ive had in years. Alice is a true professional who has worked at a number of high-end salons in the Dupont area, and recently moved to this shop. Due to a chance encounter (Michael Craig messed up my appointment) I ended up here because I needed a cut before a work trip. Alice rushed in early when the receptionist called, and cut my hair on the spot. She completely understood what I wanted despite my lackluster description. Reasonably priced for a fantastic haircut. Definitely recommend.

I have been going to Capital Waxing for close to 8 years, since they were located in Last Tangle salon on 19th St NW. I have received services from Leslie, Kelly, Andy, and Lyly. All are exceptional! The waxing services (brows, lips, underarm, and Brazilian) provided by Leslie, Kelly, and Lyly are super clean, fast, and minimally painful. Andy does a great job with manicures, pedicures, and acrylics. Once you receive services at Capital Waxing, you won’t want to go anywhere else!

I was so nervous about getting a Brazilian done. It literally took years to muster up the courage to do so. I went with a co worker, after we read the reviews on yelp and we selected Kelly. She got hers done and was satisfied. I got mine done and after I got thru the initial pain for my first time, lets say I have not stopped going to Kelly. It has been a year and wherever she goes, I go. It has been the absolute best experience. Kelly rocks and I highly recommend her to everyone. She even tweezers the little hairs that the wax doesnt catch. And the underarm wax literally puts me to sleep. It is so relaxing.

This place is the best! Leslie converted me back into a waxer. I had some traumatizing experiences; but her waxes are quick, painless and I hardly get any ingrowns afterwards. I also got waxed by Kelly when Leslie was on maternity leave and she’s amazing as well! If you’re able to come during off-peak hours (especially early weekend mornings) and are in a hurry they’ll even have two people do your manicure and pedicure simultaneously. This place is worth every penny!

I am a WOC and got an eyebrow wax/design by Kelly. I am tremendously impressed, she kept my brows full and kept its natural shape. I highly recommend this salon over any local nail salon. Price point is worth it, great, full brows how you want them.

Got a wax and massage there. Wax was well done, a bit too hot but otherwise good service. The massage was a terrible experience, I waited about an hour for the massage person to arrive, he looked like someone off the street in saggy jeans, I could see his boxers, had an old sweaty T-shirt on, I felt uncomfortable undressed under the sheets because he seemed so unprofessional, honestly I don’t think he even washed his hands after walking in from outside. He had an old duffle from which he pulled moisturizers, the whole thing was extremely messy, a bit dirty, and unprofessional. I don’t know why I didn’t say anything I shouldn’t have stayed for the massage but the guy drove to the store for my appointment and I guess I’m too nice to say anything and felt bad for some reason. When he gave me the massage I realized he was a professional because of how he spoke about different muscles and he shared some of his education and talked about best tactics for making sure muscles get good hydration and stretching etc but he looked like a random man off the street. To top it off signed up for a 30 min massage but I guess the front desk does not communicate with it’s people because I got an hour massage of course I didn’t know how much time had gone by because I didn’t have a watch on me and got charged for the hour massage, the lady at the front desk was not extremely rude but charged me anyway without apologizing for the miscommunication even though I explicitly said I signed up for 30 min, the massage guy could have at least said we’re passing the 30 min mark or something. The whole thing was uncomfortable and unprofessional, will definitely not be going back. Showered a lot that day

The receptionist sat on a call for 5 minutes before acknowledging I was there. Kelly was nice but messed up the arch of my brows and refused to tweeze them. Never again

Ive gotten my brazilian waxing done here twice, and the experience was the best Ive had at any waxing salon Ive been to thus far. As a male, its difficult to find locations that do male Brazilian waxings. The tech was more knowledgable and skilled than those at previous salons Ive visited. He was highly professional and was skilled enough to get all the hair without much pain at all. I highly recommend to any men or women who like to be smooth and hair free below the waistline.

I paid $33 for a French manicure that literally pealed the next morning! It didn’t even hold for 24 hours. And the dead skin around my nails looks like I haven’t even passed next to a nail salon! Such a waste of money and time.
