I’ve come to this nail salon a number of times since August 2020. Unfortunately the quality of the service you’ll receive will always differ depending on the current mood/attitude of the nail technicians and how crowded the place is at the moment. Although they keep a book for a scheduling, they simultaneously accept walk-in clients, which leaves a lot clients who call ahead to secure an appointment at a severe disadvantage.Any time I’ve bothered to vocalize my dissatisfaction and request that a manicure or pedicure job to be fixed, (this usually includes poorly applied nail polish and acrylic, or poor shaping) the backlash is ridiculously volatile. During my last appointment, the owners Bill and Tina began shouting at me for simply pointing to another nail that needed a little cleaning around the cuticle. Hilariously rude and unprofessional.I’ve seen other reviews reference racial discrimination, and unfortunately, they’re being honest.My advice to anyone who books/walks in here would be to figure out what they do “well” in your opinion, and ONLY stick to that. Also try to come in as early as possible to avoid crowds, their rush jobs to meet the “demand” are the absolute worst.Lastly, if you’re ever mistreated, do not return. I’m leaving this review now, after many disappointments, because I’ve decided to never spend another dollar here. A trip to the nail salon should be relaxing, not combative or stressful.

A special place! All of the associates have a warm and welcoming demeanor. Tina (great sense of humor) has given me gel manicures that have lasted up to three weeks.Cathy gives wonderful pedicures…. For years I would drive to certain neighborhoods to receive the best nail treatment, now I’m so grateful that a terrific spot is right across the street.So so glad I found a new, and top notch spot!!Cam on!

You can’t judge a book by its cover!So, I need to preface this by saying I don’t care for the super fancy nail salons with the latest and greatest that pamper me for hours. I’m more of the person that likes a very clean, sanitary place where I can get in and out without breaking my bank BUT a) have someone listen to how I want my toe nails shaped, b) does a good job on my nails and c) the nail polish doesn’t look like I did it or chips/fades in a few days. I have been to many around U street and Adam’s Morgan. Maybe I got lucky with who did my nails but I was and still am so impressed! Not only did my toe nail polish withstand sun, saltwater, and dishwashing after 2 weeks (not gel polish) but my nails (gel polish) came out so pretty, didn’t turn colors from the sun and just started to wear this week — week 3.5! Price is great too. :)

I picked this salon because it is close to my apartment and has relatively low prices. However, the services are also relatively low quality. I got a basic mani/pedi today, and the edges are chipping already.

I tried this nail salon last night because my regular place was closed. The service was excellent- kind and welcoming. Unfortunately my gel mani & pedi doesn’t look so good. Pics are from right afterwards.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would in a heartbeat. I just moved here recently for college and was trying to find a nail spa that I could go to. Before arriving, I called and made an appointment in advanced, however when I got there I had to wait for over an hour until I was helped. When the lady finally serviced me, you could tell she was not a professional. While painting my toes she was constantly getting the nail polish all over my skin and at the end used a nail file to get rid of the polish that was still on my skin. After being highly disappointed with the service/lack of service I was given, I proceeded to ask if I could get a discount since I had to wait over an hour despite having an appointment, as well as the poor job I was given. The lady then proceeded to tell me to go somewhere else. Also not to mention, while I was there in the timespan of two hours, there were three other complaints about amount of time people had to wait and someone had to have another worker take off and do her gel polish since it was such a poor job. Also they weren’t even full packed. There was only about 8 people in there. I would never in a million years recommend this business to anyone, and it is a shame that this place is still up with the disrespectful and unprofessional service they give. DO NOT GO HERE.

The first time I came here to do manicure. It was amazing that Clear sky nails spa was so good that I did not know it early, the price was reasonable with many beautiful models, Ms. Tinas staff made me very gentle, talking funny, pouring water for me. Like hot nails on everything. love you

Bill was really good and patient with me. He did my eyebrows so well I will definitely go back. My nails were shaped and done well. It’s a cheap no thrill nail shop with absolutely great customer service!!!

They stay open late, thats why I went. Got a full set and sugar scrub pedicure. The pedicure scrub was nice, she massaged my calf muscles and that was great!

I love this place. They are very meticulous and professional. Prices are also very similar to other parts of the city. I was really excited to find a place around the area. Cant wait to come back

Cannot speak to the nail services but I had the most traumatic waxing experience in my lifetime. The women clearly had no waxing experience and severely burned my skin. It was so painful I was in tears and had to leave mid appointment (for context - I have been getting waxed for the last 10+ years of my life). She kept on apologizing and quickly had me leave through the door when I asked her if she had done this in the past. I am writing this review 3 + months after the incident and still to this day my skin is not the same...

I came in here right before they closed I needed to get my nails done and my eyebrows and they were nice enough to let me come and get my eyebrows done as well I wish I could post a picture for you to see I think he did a great job oh my nails and an even better job on my eyebrows the next time you go make sure to ask for Bill

Very professional! My nail tech was super funny kept me laughing. Very clean used fresh files and disinfected seat and equipment in between clients. Best place in dc only charges 45 for long coffin which is normally 55-60 everywhere else.

Today was my first time going there. I was looking for a new salon to visit since I had a bad experience at my last one. I waited roughly around 20 minutes but it was worth it. I got my nails done by the woman there and Im extremely happy with my ending result. She shaped my nails beautifully and also took her time to reshape and file the others that were not even. The technicians there were very polite. It was a quiet environment but I usually enjoy that when I go to nail salons. They are also reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend them again and I also plan to go for my refill.

On vacation & came here on a whim. Im usually skeptical about getting my nails done in salons im mot familiar with but I saw the reviews and went for it. It didnt disappoint! They are gentle and precise. My nails looked amazing and gave me the most confidence! If Im ever in the area again I will absolutely come back! And the prices are unbeatable!

Such a hidden gem on U St! The staff were friendly, hospitable, and fun! The space is beautiful, clean, and larger than the outside suggests. Their prices are great as well! I walked in for a gel manicure and gel pedicure was so pleasantly surprised at the quality of the service and the price - $67 for both! Will be coming back here frequently and looking forward to trying their other services as well.

I went here today for a manicure and I was so impressed! I decided at the last second to do a dip manicure and they accommodated me.The space is much larger than it appears on the outside and very clean inside. The music makes it a relaxing space and the windows make it welcoming and bright.The manicure was done really well and I have no complaints. The dip manicure costs $45.The staff were very kind and I will definitely be coming back!

Ms Tina was so lovely and accommodating; She did a wonderful job on my nails. The prices were so affordable and the end result was beautiful. Highly recommend for anybody tired of paying exorbitant prices for mediocre work!!

I love this place! I had high hopes for it after seeing the reviews so I visited it today for the first time and within minutes knew this was going to be my new regular nail salon. (In fact I liked them so much that I decided I’d write them my first ever google review so more people could know about them.) The place is about four months old, bright, clean and hygienic. They did a good job on my manicure and pedicure— not too rough, which is my pet peeve because I hate it when manicures make me bleed. Friendly welcoming owners and staff too. Ended up getting my eyebrows done too and I’m planning to go back. And their prices are great!

It was really easy to set up an appointment. They have clean bathrooms and a good refrigerator for storing food. I did a mani and pedi and my nails look fantastic! Very basic spot with friendly service. I will be back.

I moved to DC last year and this is the only place that has been constant with the value of the services they offer.A gel manicure lasts at least 2 weeks as well as their pedicure, if not longer.

I had the worst experience ever. The guy was so rough on my nails. One nail was so off and I told him to fix it and he caught a big attitude with me. I asked for a design on 2 fingers and it was SO sloppy. Wouldn’t recommend this place AT ALL. THEY ARE SO MESSY AND RUDE! Never coming here again

OMG OMG OMG!!! I definitely found gem on U st. I’m so happy that I found Clear Sky’s and Ms. Tina an awesome job on my refill (mind you I came with a whole set done by another nail shop) and she also did an amazing job on my eyebrows!! And the PRICE was so reasonable!!! I definitely recommend this nail shop, you will not be disappointed!!!
