Came here on mothers day with my daughter, took 20 minutes for them to even greet us, mind you everyone looked right at us when we walked in. The person who did my daughters nails was very attentive and gentle (it was my daughters first time). The person who did mine was rushing, snappy and rude. Not happy at allEdited to say both my daughter and I nails have cracked and chipped, neither of us are rough with are hands so i will probably never go back.

Ive been going there for about 15 years and Ive seen a lot of changes to both the establishment and the staff.I use to see Karen now I see Julie who is pretty good.I would say that the difference is how now its a rush to get to the next person.You use to sit and soak in the pedicure chair but now youre in and out which is okay if youre in a rush but not okay when youre trying to pamper yourself.But, still a pretty good place but also depends on when u go.

Jace Has a gift! I stopped warring tips due to the damage they cause on the nail bed. His sculpture skills are EXCELLENT. I will be back in 2 weeks no questions

40 dollars for a gel pedicure that was rushed and not painted correctly. I also waiting about 1 1/2 hours and no one apologized for the wait.

My first time and no more times. They tell you take a number and then dont call it. 😒 then male tech that sits in front left sand on nails and just painted on top of sand and said he didnt know how to paint my whole nail. He left side of nail unpainted scared he would get polish on my cuticle. Not a true professional nail technician.

Ive been going here since forever. All the old employees are gone. They remodel the place with new chairs and stuff. Still a great place to get my nails, toes and eyebrows done. My two favorite people are Julie and Ciara.

Julie and the woman who sits up front with her do not know how to do coffin shaped nails. Furthermore, Julie is rule and unprofessional! I came in today for a take off and full set. I sat for an hour while my nails soaked off, which is fine, but afterwards she got an attitude because I said my nails weren’t coffin shaped. Also one nail she put on was crooked and she said I’ll fix when I file. I said no take it off and do it over. Then I couldn’t decided which color I wanted and she started rushing me, stating she had an appointment waiting on her. I said I’ll just leave and she said that’s fine. So I left without my nails being done! The thing is I actually waited on her, because she was doing someone’s nails when I arrived. Had I known about her unprofessional attitude I would’ve let someone else do my nails! I’ll also add someone called and Anna answered the phone and it was on speaker. The woman asked for an appointment and Anna said we don’t take appointments, only walk-ins. Inconsistent liars there. DO NOT GO THERE!

AWFUL. Horrible. Long wait, overwhelming smell, dirty, small, they rush you through, they didnt sterilize their tools, I just got home and my feet are so itchy I cannot wait to shower. Hopefully I dont have something worse than an allergic reaction. Avoid at all costs.It’s an hour later and already one toe’s worth of GEL POLISH has completely come off. Do not waste your money in this hellish establishment. If I could give it no stars I would.

Dirty. No customer service. The nail tech tried to soak off my gel polish with hot acetone. She put a bowl of acetone over a bowl of steaming hot water and wanted me to stick my hands in it. I would say this place is what you would expect going to any nail shop in any hood. They werent overtly nasty but they definitely dont care about the quality of service they provide nor the patrons health.

Slow service

They do good work, I frequently visit. Although some technicians are better than others. My favorite is one of the older gentlemen there. Not recalling his name but hes is there during week days early as 10am. He is very patient and he make sure you get the look desire.

This people working in this shop are rude and the money they expect you to pay for their poor service is not worth it. The shop is dirty and the no body can do nails properly except the rude girl in the front and her attitude is worse than the appearance of the shop and thats says alot. This is not where I would spend my money. The wait is too long and its because it is a neighborhood shop that they even have customers. There are better shops around . Dont waste your time or money or compromise your nails here.

The nail tech rushed the job. Charged me for a design which was just a different color nail polish on my middle finger. She also used a torn piece of toilet paper towel as a toe separator. The end result was streaky/lumpy polish wuth extra polish residue left on the pads of my finger somehow. Wont ever be going back again.

I came in and got my nails done and the next day I hit the table and my nails broke, my nails should not have broken this easily and I will NEVER be coming back. I always came here and spent a lot of money and as soon as I let the you young girl do it, my nails broke.

My nail tech is awesome and I will only go to her. Actually, I think they are all good, however, there is a heavy presence of flies or gnats in this salon. Especially in the pedicure area. It is irritating to have to keep swatting them away. It takes away from what could be a complete mini spa like experience.

Terrible customer service. I showed up at 9:55a expecting to be immediately serviced because the shop opens at 10am. Only 2 people were there. The other employees treat this job like a hobby or pastime. They do not greet customers when entering and there are flies almost year round buzzing around the shop. I only come here because it’s super close to where I live and every time I come I regret it. Don’t waste your time. The gel manicures always end up chipping just a few days into having them. It’s not worth it.

I love this place!

I was there 10am Tuesday 090616. There were only 2 personnel on duty with atleast 5 patrons waiting. After not being serviced, I left at 1030 and there were still only 2 workers there. Shop is small. No one answers the business phone. Lovely Nails in Capitol Heights is 180 degree difference. Excellent service. Avoid if you are in a hurry.

I got my lashes done last Friday and the right eye came off Monday so I had to take both off u want good lashes this is not recommended seriously judy is the one who did them

The nail salon was clean very friendly atmosphere. Molly my technician was very professional and fast! I was in and out of the salon within 20mins. 5 star service deserves a 5 star rating!

Terrible experience I initially went there to do a color change. First experience was awesome. But I noticed 2 days later my white was turning yellow. I explained to the lady (MANGER) that I have been wearing white for some time now and never had this issue. She literally badgered me down that it was me, and that she would not give me a refund because the person who did my nails should have explained to me that white tends to turn yellow. Which he did not. So I agreed for them to do a color change with the white again. The nail tech filed my nails down to the white polish and then she starts applying the white polish again. Astonished I asked so you are not going to remove the initial paint? No she says . So I let her finish. But I will NEVER return to this nail salon. The Manager was VERY RUDE. And Im pretty sure they were talking about me. But ladies beware.

I love getting my nails done here, Vivian does a good job, though she can be a little sloppy at times (she scrapped my cuticles twice). Get the chrome nails, youll love it!!Id suggest getting there as soon as the doors are opened cos it gets really crowded as the day goes by and very tight.

Only reason i gave it a two star was because i was in and out. They rush you and slap my pedicure was not worth it.by the time i got home it was half way off.

Spend your money elsewhere. The guy who did my nails was lazy. Didnt even use the callus remover cream when removing my calluses. I asked for the sugar scrub and he barely scrubbed. The establishment itself looks cluttered and messy. Yeah no. First and last time here

I wish I had read the reviews before I went there. I asked for rounded acrylic nails with a full set and they gave me blobs with chipping polish. Then when I called to see about having them fixed I was told there would be no charge. So to my surprise and frustration, when the woman was half way through giving me another horrible shape, I was told that I would have to pay $5. So not only did they not fix the issues they made my nails even worse. My nails don’t even match.

The men do better woek than the women

This place has always been disgusting. They are always over-crowded, dusty, unsanitary and just plain rude. I can understand if some of these places are over-worked and tired of dealing with BayBay and her kids, but that is not the fault of another customer. Tailor your services to the clientele you want, get better customer service and raise the prices to keep the clients you dont want out. They rush through services, skip steps and make me feel like I couldve done a better job at home. Ive lived in this area my whole life and have been here a total of 3 times when Kings salon on 13th & H is busy. Run from this place and book an appointment at Kings QUICK! Everytime, there are kids running around, girls with their 1st of the month shopping bags all in the way, the nail techs are rude and annoyed (probably should be after dealing with loud clients and their even louder kids). This place should be shut down for lack of cleanliness, detail and customer service (old magazines stacked up by the pedicure nail-drying area which is so dusty, it probably hasnt been cleaned since they opened). The way this area is changing, I dont see them being open for another 5 years if I dont call the Health and Cosmetology State Board first.

I waited patiently for over one hour to get a pedicure and another person came in at least 40 minutes later than me but received services first. They are too slow, unorganized and just dumb. I will never set foot in there again.
