Shearer honestly does the best HVAC work within a 50 mile radius (at least) HANDS DOWN!! Ive used several other HVAC companies in the area. The amazing quality of work that Shearer does along with their outstanding customer service is incomparable. They are actual professionals who want to actually fix the issue at hand, if there is one! They wont give you the run around, they wont hang you out to dry, and they treat their employees well too. That says a lot about a company. I will ONLY use Shearer moving forward and I am definitely not the only one!

Our heat pump was 16 yrs old and needed replaced. Robert came out and put together an estimate. His walk through was extremely thorough and at the end he sat down and went over our options. He was friendly, professional and did not try to push or up sale on anything. He simply laid out our options for us to choose from. The install was quick and we were up and running by mid afternoon. If Shearer is available in your area I would not hesitate to go with them. They are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I will be looking into there maintenance program as well. Condenser fan went out, called on a Saturday, tech replaced fan . The National average for this service is $450.00. My bill was $1104 the parts can be purchased on Amazon for$71. I consider this to be price gouging. I strongly do not recommend this company for service

My service tech Dustin was absolutely amazing! He is always so professional and does excellent work.As for the company, well I have been with Shearer for 11 years and up until this year, I was very happy.Unfortunately Scott the office person who is suppose to handle scheduling, never got called to schedule my service, this year. I had to call and fight to get service. Not a fan, he could not give me set time and date, never called back to ensure times until after the scheduled time waited 15 minutes past to say none could come. I am certain he is a nice person. However if this is how Shearer is doing business now. Well we are moving on.

I called them to look at my heat pump. They sent someone within a few hours and the technician, Jared, was awesome. He was very knowledgeable, very professional and very nice. They had to order the part to fix it but they were able to get it and install it the next day. Even the person I spoke to in the office (Scott) was super nice and helpful. No one likes to have repairs but having pleasant, competent workers makes it much easier to accept. I would highly recommend this business!

Worked with Dustin and he was just great! In addition I told him I was having problems with my fireplace gas starter and he took a quick look and realized it was just a bit finicky on how to turn the gas on switches...basically just human error on my part. Would definitely recommend.

Did furnace installation in December 2016. Very professional and hard working employees. Answered all questions I had. Furnace is fantastic. Just wanted to add an update since weve had this for almost two winter seasons now. House is warmer than it has ever been with setting at 70, but surprisingly, the gas bill is lower. We have been dealing with Shearer Heating and Cooling for many, many years. In fact we are part of their Gold Star program where we have them schedule to automatically come out in the spring and in the fall to do maintenance on our furnace and they check and make sure that things are in good working order for the upcoming season. We feel that this is a good value and protection for our furnace. We have had many furnace hvac technicians come out through the years, but feel that we found an exceptional person when we recently had “Dustin H.” do some work on our furnace. Not only was he schooled in the technical skills needed to make the repair, but he was a very friendly & personable guy. From our conversation with him we could tell that he possessed good values and a fine work ethic ....things that are representative of the kind of business that Shearer’s has always had a reputation for running.

Shearer provided prompt, same day service when my AC unit stopped working. The technician was highly skilled, and he thoroughly explained the repairs and cost. I will definitely use Shearer for future HVAC service.

My experience with Shearer was what I thought was going to end in a good business/customer relation. I called to have my boiler checked and looked over knowing I was probably looking at a replacement? Jarrod the tech came out and checked my unit, I was informed by him that I’ve probably got a year or two with current system and if I replace my whole system with them that there could be a credit on my new system for the service call? My mistake for trusting that, as I just called again to have the system replaced on 12/27/19. Now I know having a new boiler system installed isn’t cheap and I was willing to pay cash for the system and a service agreement but now they say I’m out too far? If that’s the case why would they take my hard earned money to check my current system but tell me I’m too far out for a whole new install? Just sad that businesses have to treat a paying customer in that way, I’m not asking for much just a new system. Update 12/27/19 just talked to the competition in the same town as shearer they’re more than happy to do an install and service agreement for a paying customer, thank goodness for competition and a reliable competitor who’s not gonna take my hard earned cash for a service call and then tell me I’m too far away. Would it make sense for your tech to offer a discount on an install if as you said I was to far to return for one? I think your confused on the issue of me demanding you come out that was not the case at all, I would never insist on you or your anyone coming out if you so choose not to, that’s your call not mine! I was just looking for a professional HVAC Service and it’s apparent that you are not.

The representative and the technical people made this installation of an emergency furnace replacement for an elderly woman as pleasant as could be expected. We are grateful for their efficient and prompt help.

They have made my elderly mother in law go without heat since Thanksgiving and keep putting it off saying they are waiting on parts. Its funny that the average person can call and get the parts overnighted but a business cant? When its warranty repair, you get put to the bottom of the list, obviously.

This is a great company. Very reliable, prompt for appointments, and they do not cut corners... they spend a good amount of time making sure everything is taken care of correctly. Weve worked with several of their technicians over our nine years with them. Theyve been great, always wear shoe covers and are very conscientious in the house. Zac has been our technician for a good while now and he is extremely knowledgeable and professional and has resolve problems with our equipment. I highly recommend using this company.

The technician arrived within the 12 noon to 2:00 pm period. He actually arrived earlier than I expected. He did the job quickly and efficiently. Thank you for adjusting the air speed in my new furnace, it had been like a freight train arriving with cold air and the sound was very annoying, but with a little adjustment I now can enjoy listening to quiet music or have an enjoyable conversation. Our air conditioner went out, of course, when it was very hot and humid. I called Shearer and someone came that very afternoon. However, we had to have 3 parts ordered from the factory. To our surprise, 2 days later the parts were being installed. We were quite pleased that they got the parts so quickly. It could have been a lot worse and it was continuing to get hotter and more humid each day. They did a terrific job and did not disappoint. I highly recommend Shearer Heating & Cooling.

Im very pleased with the two hour window, mine was 8-10am, they arrived 8:30 - 8:40am, the serviceman was polite and right away put foot covers on to protect your floors.Their knowledge and service of the equipment is excellent. They offer a maintenance program that helps with cost.

We are Gold Star account holders for service to check our HVAC system Spring & Fall. Technician Lucas did an excellent & thorough job inspecting & cleaning the entire AC unit. Lucas also gave me a lesson on the maintenance of the attached electronic air cleaner - much appreciated.

The 2 service guys were friendly and efficient. They asked the problem with the furnace and got right to work in diagnosing the problem. Clean and courtious. I d recommend Shearer for heating & A.C. problems any day!

I loved Lucas the serviceman so this review has nothing to do with him. I called Shearer at the end of October 2018 because there was water leaking underneath the furnace. A little over $300 later they said the drain was cleaned out and the problem solved. In February 2019 I noticed the water was back. This time they said the drip pan under the pump was cracked and THAT was causing the leaking H20. Lucas glooded the pan and we are hoping that will solve the problem because you cant buy just the drip pan, you need to purchase a whole new pump ( over $300). I was charged almost $300 again ( for what I believe was the problem the First time) It cost $65 to glue the drip pan and of course there was the service call and app. $150 to clean the pump since it was off the pan and reattach it. I was NOT happy with the 2nd charge and I will not be using this company again.

Called these people and ask to speak to a manager and they just hung up on me...called back and a lady was snotty saying “what was your call pertaining to?” If that’s how you talk to your customers then nvm straight disrespectful...probably cause I was polite and might have sounded like a salesperson but sorry for having manners
