Let me start off by saying this has been the hottest summer I have ever experienced and continue to experience because of Dixie heating and Air.Week 1 (6/7/2020):I Originally called DH&A at the end of May/ beginning of June, to have someone come and look at my AC Unit, They were quick, and they sent someone out that very same Day! The repair man they sent was quite unprofessional, but he looked at the unit and concluded it was a faulty Board. He said he would follow up me, After a few days I called DH&A to follow up, Turns out they never order the part I needed, They ask me to send them a pic of the model number of the AC, I sent them a photo, a week goes by.Week 2 (6/14):I call them and ask for an update, turns out they already had the part. He comes out to install it, Its the wrong board? Why because the pic I sent them was of the model of the AC unit on the inside of the house and not the Outdoor unit, They Blamed me for that mistake! If the AC repair guy had just done his job, this could have been Avoided.Week 3 (6/21):The correct board comes, it took a few days of calling to get the Repair Agent out to install it. Once they have installed it The AC Unit still does not work, He Doesnt Know why, He calls the manufacturer and speaks with them for awhile says he will get back to me.Week 4 (6/28):After about a week from not hearing from them, I call them once again. It turns out they fired the AC Repair Guy Bill, They apologize and they call a new guy to come out and look at the problem. I mean its been a month and my AC is still not fixed! The New guy comes, I think his name is Shane or Sean. Anyway the New Guy is AWESOME! He comes out tests the new boards, he cant figure it out, he comes back the next day to continue working on it, It takes bout 3 days but he says that its definitely the compressor on the AC, Says the Part will take about 1-2 weeks to get here, I say great.Week 5 (7/5):Yay! The New compressor comes a week early, No one comes to install it. They are busy with other clientsWeek 6 (7/12):I was out of town Sunday-Wednesday, I contact them Thursday asking when they can come install that compressor. They say they will come out soon, The Compressor is covered under warranty, I just have to pay for their time. witch will be $1000-1200. Thats more expensive than I was hoping for, but after 6 weeks weeks of Heat, I agree and say thats fine, lets just Get it fixed.Week 7 (7/19):They contacted me Monday and said that the Repair guy couldnt do it this week so they are going to send someone else out, They cant send someone else out til Friday! REALLY! the end of the week is the soonest you can send someone out to fix the your oldest open repair! I SAY OK.Friday (7/24):NO ONE SHOWS UP! Are you fricking serious. I will call on Monday witch will be the Beginning of WEEK 8. I cant live in this Heat any longer. This company is a JOKE! 8 weeks! I should be getting this repair for free! 2 months of Summer has passed and its till not fixed, Maybe when summer is over they will finally have time to come and repair my AC Unit! I want my Money back! Stay AWAY from this Company! No One has reached out to make this right!Dixie heating and Air will waste your time and charge you for theirs.UPDATE!!!Monday (7/27/2020) I wake up to the sound of my backyard gate being slammed, and my dogs barking like crazy. Turns out its the Owner of the Company and hes packing up all his tools. He showed up completely unannounced. After he Leaves he then Texts me, and threatening me to take down the review. I posted a pic of the Conversation. He calls me a liar and then says that he refusing to complete the job. He left my AC unit in complete pieces, and says that I owe him $1200 for it. I Have uploaded a pic of the current condition of my AC Unit. All because I left a bad review. SEE PICS AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
I needed a new heat pump to replace the one in my house, which was 27 years old. Bill came out and gave me a quote, and even though the job was 10 times more complicated and difficult than anticipated, he and his apprentice stayed with the job until it was finished, and even had to complete it on the weekend. He honored his quote, and was very considerate of my property and me and everything to do with the job. Honest and diligent to a fault. I highly recommend this company.EDIT 7 MONTHS LATER: I dont know if theyve gone out of business or what. I had some problems, and the owner came out to look at my unit. He was going to come back the following week to fix it, and that was the last I heard from him. Never showed, no explanation, not answering their phone, voice mail is full. That was more than a month ago.. Bill no longer works for them. Im not pleased and will have to call another company. Im not giving them one star because initially they were good. I don’t know what happened. I wish someone would call and let me know.

Replaced the ductwork in our HVAC system to solve the problem of not being able to cool the south side of house below 80f when the outside temperature was above 105f. Did a few other smaller projects for us. Great workmanship. Always on time. Cleaned up after themselves.

I made a service appointment and a tech was able to come out within an hour of making the call. Shane was awesome! Very knowledgeable! Ac went out had them come and replace the system which was done, then on july 4th it wasnt working again called and they came which was great topped off the system said there was a leak they would be back monday when they came back just topped it off said be back couple days later came back and topped it off they have not been back made several appointments to get it fixed they give a time and no one shows, up this is day 11 not fixed yet honestly if you dont want to honor warranty work or your work in general then let is know ahead of time
Mike was awesome!! Came when they said he would—quickly after I called . Took care of it immediately. Mike is friendly and efficient. Superior service. I can’t live without ac. My hubby who takes care of these things was out of town. We have done business with them before and they made it easy. I would recommend them to anyone! It is refresing to see businesses who give great customer service.

Dixie H&AC consistently provide excellent service starting with the scheduler. Mike arrived exactly on time and brings a wealth of knowledge and skill. Today just had a regular 3 month air filter replacement and replaced an air intake grill. Service was quick and Mike is always personable and polite.
Mike has been working on my homes for several years. He is always professional and efficient. I ask a lot of questions when he come to the home and he is always willing to explain what hes doing so that I have a better understanding of how the system works. Dont forget to ask for Mike!
We have not had ac for over a week now. Originally we called on a saturday and they came right out, which was great. The tech said he would order the part Monday morning and it would take a few days to get in, hit they would have it working no later than Thursday or Friday. Well, that didnt happen! Instead he came on tuesday to see if he can try and make another part work in our system. Guess what?....it didnt work. That made it so he couldnt order the correct part until Wednesday. I had heard from them and have tried multiple times to reach some one during business hours but I could only leave a voice mail message. Then I received a text message that said they would be to our house the morning of May 5th, a Tuesday, but no one has arrived and I cant reach anyone at their office. Not a good sign since they should be doing warranty work for me.
I would like to give them a NO star review. I made an appointment with them they were to come out and check my AC. When they didn’t show up I found the person who made my appointment didn’t do it right. They made a later appointment for the same day and was a no show! No phone call to let me know either. I’m very disappointed with them!
Dixie Heating and Air has provided exceptional service at my home for the last 6 years. They replaced my old furnace and AC with a new updated furnace and AC which lowered my power bill. I also purchased an Accu-clean system which filters out dust and bacteria and odors from my home. I LOVE IT. They have always been very professional, on time and easy to work with. They do quality work and always go the extra mile. All of the employees are knowledgeable and very personable. The service is the best I have ever had. I would recommend them to anyone.

I have a vacation rental in southern Utah and the furnace stopped working right as some guests checked in. I called Dixie Heating and Air based off of their good reputation online (google reviews) and they delivered an unbelievable service to me. They got their tech (Shane) to my house within 2 hours and had my furnace fixed that same day! Thank you for your world class customer service and fast response time. Also, give Shane a raise. He deserves it!
Shane has always been professional and clean. He always takes the time to make sure the job is done right. He saved our butts last year when our compressor went out, it was 95 degrees in our house and I didnt think we would make it through the night and we would have to scramble to find a hotel room. Shane came out to the house at nine oclock and saved the day! He mentioned getting our unit serviced regularly and you can bet I called the office before the summer kicked in full swing . I called Friday night with a concern about my air conditioner makingterrible sounds. Shane called right back after I left a message. I decided I could make do until Saturday. He came right out, diagnosedthe problem and fixed it (needed a new condenser). He was friendlybut professional, explained things to me and was patient and politewith my questions. Shane at Dixie Heating & AC was great to work with and was willing to go the extra mile to help us get our struggling AC unit in our condo working well again during the recent hot spell in southern Utah. We have had somewhat negative experiences with other AC technicians from competing heating & AC companies. Our condo is on the top floor with the heat/AC unit crammed into tight spaces and hard to get to. So some AC companies will charge exorbitant amounts for any work done, or in some cases wont work on these older units at all. So what a pleasant surprise the Shane was very willing to help us out and at a very reasonable price. Many thanks to Shane and we highly recommend him!

We’ve had two great experiences with this company. First at our primary residence and just yesterday at our rental. Mike was our service tech. He is very courteous and knowledgeable. At first our home warranty company sent a subpar contractor. When we couldn’t get answers to fix the system over a cold weekend we called Dixie and they came on Saturday and put in a temporary thermostat so the house could get heat until a Nest could be installed on Monday. He came back on Monday, installed it and we were good to go. He assured us if there were any problems we could call his cell and he would respond right away. We are happy customers and highly recommend their service.
Got a call from my renter saying that her unit was blowing but not putting out cold air. This was on a Saturday evening and Im thinking its going to be a hot weekend for her...but then I sent a message in their website and they got back to me immediately. Fixed the problem that night and all was good.

Super impressed by these guys. I was able to get same-day service when our AC went out in the heat of August and Mike spent a long time figuring out our weird wiring issue that was causing all the problems. I would have given up on us, especially since it meant hours out in the HOT garage and I was nervous about what the bill would be after all the time spent, but felt like it was fair. Shane knows everything about geothermal (ground source) heat pumps (and probably any other heating and air conditioning system). He can diagnose and fix quickly and is really pleasant to work with. This is the second time Ive had him out because he is so good at what he does.
They did a good job overall. They worked hard to get us on the schedule quickly and kept us informed of any changes. After the AC condenser were installed and one of the them was not cooling they came out early before work to check it out and fix the problem. Its great to have cool air again.
We had guests in our vacation rental who called one evening to let us know the AC was not working. I called Dixie at 9:30 p.m. and they were out there early the next morning to get things up and running. This was a 20 year old system and we choose to have Dixie replace both the furnace and AC and are very pleased with their promptness and professionalism. We HIGHLY recommend them. Shane was right on time. As he serviced the A/C he checked inside a connector box on the condenser and found a burned wire. This additional check was beyond a typical service call and was very thorough of him to do this. It likely saved the condenser. Nice job, Shane!

I am new to St. George and my air conditioning died in the heat of the summer. Jason and his team made my home a priority and really had a tough time getting the old unit out of the attic. I have 2 units in my home and they were both replaced quickly and everything was done well and looked better than before. I chose the right company for the job, they gave me GREAT price and did a great job! You can trust these guys!
Shane and his team were installing a system up the street from me. Our heating and a.c. systems were 14 years old. I asked him to stop by my house and give me an estimate. He did so in a very thorough and professional manner. I bought. The installers Glenn and Isodro came the next day. It took 1 1/2 days to install. They were always on time, hard working, cleaned up everything, and were very knowledgeable. Vicki at the office was very helpful too. I would recommend them highly.
We started with Dixie Heating & AC in 2016 over the July 4th holiday weekend. They went out of their way to be here VERY early in the morning to get our A/C up and running before we had to catch a 10:00 AM flight out of town. Today, they were here within 30 minutes of my call for help. Very impressed with their level of customer service, and call back to make sure we dont miss our maintenance appointments. Highly recommend this company.
Very pleased with the technical knowledge of Shane H. and the installers desire to do a good job. The new ac. system seems very efficient and does a better job than the original.
First of all they never answer their phone. They screen their calls with the answering machine and then call back the people they want. But the biggest problem is a tech named Mike. Watch out! He has a huge chip on his shoulder. They scheduled a time and three ours late he called and said he could not make it. He said I can call someone else or call and make a new appointment next week. So I called the company and left a message. Mike calls me back and leaves the most unprofessional message I nave ever received in business. All I can think is he is the owners son. Why else would you put up with an employee like that? There are so many other companies who want to earn you business. Angies list is a great source because the providers know the review are real and they work hard for good reviews. It might go well for you with this small mom and pop company...BUT WHY AND TAKE THE CHANCE WITH ANGRY MIKE?
Nobody is better.....excellent service and communication. Dont bother calling anyone else! Competitive pricing and an emphasis on customer service....from scheduling with Vickie, to my service tech Mike! They have been out several times to our home for various heating and air conditioning concerns, always on time when they say they will be there, and always have a great attitude coming and going! An absolutely great company to do business with and I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation!!! They are a company that knows what awesome customer service is and who back it up with actions.Prior to replacing my old A/C unit, which they knew could be a costly expense, they tried everything in their power to repair the old one. At one point they thought it was the compressor and they spent many hours, in the heat, replacing it. When they found out it hadn’t fixed the problem, they not only didn’t charge me for the compressor, installation, or subsequent removal, but they also didn’t charge me till the problem was figured out and fixed. I did end up having to get a new unit but they gave me a great price...especially for all of the time and effort they’d expended beforehand. They are an incredible team to deal with. I was so happy and relieved that Shane was able to come and take care of our A/C problem today! We had 23 contractors in training today suffering with heat because one of units stopped working. With it being so hot outside, I know that its a busy time for your company so I was worried we couldnt be seen today. But Shane showed up this afternoon, diagnosed the problem quickly and then fixed it in no time! He was friendly, courteous and fun to have in the office. Mr. Smith (I think his first name was Chris) talked with me on the phone and helped me diagnose the issue that made my heatpump AC unit stop working. He was very helpful and I felt comfortable talking to him. He was able to come a full 8 hours before my appointment and anyone who has an AC problem in the summer understands that, that is a big win. He fixed the AC unit on the spot. Very grateful for his help.
I tried to fix my A/C unit myself, couldnt. Then, I called one of the top-rated companies in the St. George, Utah area per google, and they spent hours on it and walked away without calling me back. Dixie Heating got it done fast and friendly, talking me through what they were doing the whole time. Id definitely recommend them and will use them again myself.

Have an old Trane system which had a number of issues, including a poor motor mount for the blower, loose connections, improper air flow, and a dirty flame sensor. Shane got here on the same day as the call, he went through the system, found and fixed the issues, and it is running like it should. Excellent. Professional. Knows exactly what hes doing. And the price came in very reasonable. Highly recommended!

Our air conditioner quit during the night in the wee hours of Saturday morning. I called Dixie air fully expecting to get a recording and was surprised when the phone was answered by office staff. The angel that answered the phone told me after I had explained our situation, that they already had a repairman within a few blocks of me that would call when he finished that job. That repairman called within 15 minutes and within 25 minutes was at my front door. He quickly found the problem and repaired it then went the extra mile and cleaned the outside unit of weeds and dust. In answering some of our questions again, he went the extra mile in not putting us off but to the time to patiently work with us and answer all of our questions. End result is that we contracted with Dixie Air to provide scheduled service on our heating and A/C. Additionally they are going to add an air return in the master bedroom and another heat vent in the bathroom to add more efficiency to our system and reduce its energy consumption. Good Job Dixie Air..
On the first 100+ degree day of the year, the capacitor on our home AC unit blew. Instead of having to make arrangements to go to a hotel with my two young kids because no one else could come out, Dixie went above and beyond to get us handled the same day. The price was even cheaper than it would have been from other companies who couldnt make it out for 1 or more days. Thank you guys!

I have several rentals in the Utah County area. In Dixie I like Dixie Heat & AC. I really appreciate the honesty, integrity and expertise of Shane that I got with the first contact. At a superfluous level his earrings can shock you! Converse a little deeper. You will find a father with a young family that has 15 years of experience and siblings in the St George area. His roots are here. He knows the needs for this climate. His insight was wonderful. He made personal effort to listen to me closely and then make suggestions for real value on possible upgrades or efficient repairs. He got my furnace running for the simple service call price.In the past Ive had HVAC (heat, vent, air conditioning) tech persons come to my rentals and charge for an analysis. The analysis is a worthless face to face info commercial scam consisting of lists of problems that you have and that they will solve with a NEW system or a repair at an exorbitant cost. The conversation is solely to convince you that your system will die within days or weeks. You will be left helpless, or caught with tenants children freezing, or carbon monoxide that will kill everybody. (They especially like to say this when your tenants are listening.) They assure you that you will be financially ruined unless you sign a contract for a NEW system. The cost of the repair they quote usually makes it just not worth repairing. Avoid them like the plague. (Protect yourself with an immediate second or third appraisal so you really know who is lying to you.) In one case I had a tech person sabotage the wiring to the igniter so the heat would not start. These scammers use their expertise entirely for their financial gain. Unfortunately they make money doing it.Conversation with Shane was educational not advertisement. I did not feel he was a used car salesman. It was, if you do this repair now you get future value in this way, or this is a simple problem, or this is all it needs, or some maintenance here will give your system extended life, or you have this option or that option when the hot days come. It was an exchange where I learn. Where I win real value and Shane will win my patronage.

Guy came out same day we called so we were pretty glad because it was getting hot in our house. The guy came and was very short and impatient with any questions we had. He never gave us an estimate even when we were asking for one. He replaced a capacitor that he said was $75 but i found the same one online for $25. He charged us $75 dollars for two pounds of fluid and $85 dollars for a Contactor. He charged us for 2 hours labor $130 and he only worked an hour. The visit was $415!!!! what a rip off!!! Dont go through Dixie Heating and Air conditioning.
Charged way too much! so awful! wish I would have been treated with a little more respect. Im sure they are ripping off more people than just me. almost all the reviews on here are from the same guest user.

I called after finding an issue with my HVAC system and Vicki was able to squeeze me in the next day. Mike came out and went above and beyond to help my family out. He not only did his job quickly and professionally but he went above and beyond to help me understand what the issue was and to educate me with my HVAC system. Ive spent years going to various HVAC companies and spent countless hours dealing with home warranty companies only to be denied on most claims. Dixie Heating & Air is the only HVAC company Ill work with now.
