Ahhh I love this place! I dont want to misspell his name but Wong did such a wonderful job! I love the color, I love his talent. Defiantly a nail artist you can trust, he did very well.

I was referred to this salon from a friend and was pleased with my recent service. The salon employees have been trained to handle and care for their customers according to the new Covid-19 standards. Temp is taken prior to entering building, sign a waiver and sanitize your hands prior to being seated, and remaining 6ft apart from other customers. Also, the employees use plexiglass to keep their distance from the customer during manicure and pedicure. Masks or face shields are required to be worn by all. Friendly and fast service. Reasonably priced. Call or text the number listed to make an appointment before heading to the salon. Great recommendation! I will return! Thank you Emerald for a great job on my short nails!

I went to solar nails for the first time today, I had agood experience. I didnt ask for the mans name but he did a good job and I got what I wanted. There was a little confusion on my part but that was most likely because it was my first time. He greeted us at the door and he seemed to be little upset or had a little attitude but he might have been having a bad day or thats just how he came off. Overall i had a good experience and the I got what I wanted shape, color, length, and design !

My experience was great! The establishment is very clean and the staff is so friendly. I got my eyebrows and lip waxed and the lady did an amazing job. I love my pedicure as well. She took her time and polished my toes!! I will be going back!!

Love going here to get my nails done. Unfortunately life gets in the way and I cannot get my nails done as much as I would like to. But my nails are always done beautifully and flawlessly. I am in and out in good time and do not go anywhere else!

I’ve been going here for years. The owners are friendly and courteous. I’ve never had to wait too long and have always been seen in a timely manner. I suffer from ingrown toenails. Ever since I started coming to solar nails, my ingrown toenails have not been as severe.

A family run nail salon with technicians who give high quality services. I love going to there and just relax while getting my sns or manicure done.

My pedicure was good. But I went with my mom and cousin. We all started at the same time and my mom was done in about half the time as my cousin and me. The lady didnt even massage her feet and skipped some parts that my cousin and I enjoyed, such as the hot towel etc. I guess it just depends on who you get.. :/

Very nice people, and gave me one of the best pedicures ever including a message. I’m 9 months pregnant and appreciated how attentive they were.

This place is really good at doing nails and they are patient and the people who work there are really sweet. If I had to choose where to get my nails done it would be solar nails.

Ive been seeing lots of bad reviews about this place so Im going to add my two cents. I have been going here for years and never had an issue. Services have always been top notch and if my daughter comes with me, shes 10, she also enjoys her time... but she is a well behaved child. I have lived in Durham and now live in Oxford, and still will only go to Solor Nails. This nail shop has been in business for years and I dont see them going under any time soon.

They have roaches and were rude to my 7 year old, almost made her cry. Got clear polish ALL over mine and my daughters nails. I have pics of the roaches on their ground.Update on response from owner a LIE....At no point did i or would i EVER leave my daughter unattended nor did she get up from her chair once! She accidentally tapped her nail on the dryer and he yelled at her. She looked over at me fighting back tears in her eyes so i went and sat next to her to comfort her. I HEARD you and saw her reaction. This owner is a straight up LIAR! There was more than one roach BTW. And yes i dod leave a $5 tip even though i received bad service because unlike you, i have good character! Also there were no other customers at the time! Also there was no way i was sticking around for you all to fix her nails after i saw the roaches i wanted to get out!

Yes the reviews are true - the owner is VERY rude but he does an OK job with nails. And yes I did see a roach in the salon.Response to the owner: The fact that you rudely respond to all negative reviews speaks volumes of your professionalism and respect or lack thereof. Customer service is number one. Makes sense now why your salon is so empty. You’ll be out of business in no time with that attitude. Oh and you never addressed the roach issue.

Ive been getting my nails done here for about 4 years. I love the Solar Nail product. It looks amazing and last.

I have been coming to this nail salon for about 2 years. Everytime I come, the owner and his wife are pretty rude but I tolerate it because honestly, the owner does a great job on my nails. However, earlier this week he told his wife to paint my nails and she did NOT do a great job. And I am not the first to complain about his wife doing a terrible job. The polish kept peeling and looked a little lumpy. I came back once to get a nail that peeled repainted, and today came back to get another one repainted. I called before going to make sure it was okay and I even offered to pay to get it fixed. He told me to “just come in” and then HUNG UP on me. I get there and the owner and his wife completely ignore me and attend 2 other customers. Dont even bother to tell me how long the wait will be, and when I ask he says I dont care if you wait...I dont care and then proceeds to speak in his language to his wife completely ignoring my questions. They are horrendously rude people, I do NOT recommend anyone to go here. They treat PAYING customers like they are doing a FREE service.

Been coming here on & off for about 3 years & Solar nails is the only place I go to get anything done. 💅🏾(Nails, feet, eyebrows). Price range makes my pockets happy as well. Everyone is generous & im always leaving very satisfied!

Two days ago I went for a gel fill in and have not been here before. There was one lady working and she had on ear buds plugged into a phone. I wasnt greeted and she pointed me to a chair. She then began to scream at whoever she was on the phone with. As I was about to get up and leave she grabbed my hands and began working. She did try to have a mild tonned conversation with me but the English was very hard to understand. She continued on w phone calls on speaker and I listened to them all and she hung up on each person she spoke with. I had a feeling I was about to get the worse nail job and I wasnt wrong. They look terrible and my finger was also cut during her hasty and harsh filing. Not one to complain and feeling like she was probably just having a bad day I just paid ands left. Two days later I decide this has got to get fixed and went by and showed the man there the job and asked for a refund. He said no and offered to fix them quickly in 15 min. Not able or wanting to stay and have them done again and also explained I have to wait for my cut finger to heal first anyways please just refund me and he said no. Very disappointed and just wish the $40 I paid would have just been refunded so I could go next week somewhere else to have it fixed.

I have been a customer at Solar Nails for 3 years. After countless trips to many nails salons with unsatisfactory service I popped up and got BEAUTIFUL nails and great service. I’ve never had crooked or lumpy nails and they have always lasted until my next service.

This nail salon is so amazing, my friend and I got ombré nails and they look like nails off Pinterest or instagram. I’ve never liked my nails so much and I definitely recommend this salon. The women who did my friend’s nails even gave us chocolate for valentine’s day. They are so sweet. Please come and support them! I will be back for sure, best nail salon in wake forest!

I walked in at 7:05 and they said they were close but the website saids 7:30. If they were close and they take the last customer at 7 why werent the doors locked very UNPROFESSIONAL they should change there time to 7. I dont know company that wouldnt want someone to spend there money.

This is my very favorite place to have my nails done. The whole family is a delight. The chairs are amazing. The mani/pedi quality is off the charts. I drive past salons closer to my home to come here. So grateful for this little gem!!!

A joke if you really want real service... The fake massage on the shoulders is laughable... And reading down through the unhappy reviews gives anyone insight on how the owners really are... Super defensive and rude... I would never ever go here again for anything... I dont care what you guys says back. You still dont win... Learn from the customers that arent happy then you are growing. To your response... first learn some grammar. Secondly it was your shop. Thirdly it was a pedicure with a shoulder massage (supposed to be 5 minutes long) it was a minute at best but you charge customers for this. My wife wasnt happy at all with your service either... you guys are rude!

I went to the daughter Jennifer she gave me my first chrome nails. She did excellent. So I went back and she is away at school. So her dad did my nails. He did a bad job in the morning so I went back and he was so mad he didnt redo my nails so his wife did my nails. She was mad that I wanted them redone so she was mean and very rude to me so I just turned the other cheek like a Christian should. She did an even worse job. So I lost $40 that day. But why get mad at the customer when you did such a bad job. I will find a new place to go to. They can be very mean and rude people. Watch the wife come back with something nasty about this post. They cant take criticism.
