Just went in for a routine state inspection but I really feel like they went over the top, documented everything with pictures and sent them to me so I knew exactly what was going on. Great follow up service calling me and emailing me with coupons for my next visit. Will definitely be going back for any of my future car needs.

The service at First Landing Auto Care is next level. They are kind and happy to answer any questions. I love that they send me full diagnostic complete with pictures of what they’re talking about with links to instructional videos if I have further questions. Took my 05 F150 and my wifes Van to get inspected. Great service. Fast and easy. Very friendly. My truck failed but they didnt pressure me to fix it there. I fixed it myself, brought it back and they reinspected the next day. Highly recommend.

We are a military family new to the area with three young kids. My primary vehicle broke down (only one that fits all three car seats) on our driveway on a Sunday. Our insurance gave us a free tow to First Landing Auto Care- the closest auto repair place to our house- but it was closed for the day. The following morning i called in at 8:19am to let them know what was going on with our vehicle. David told me that the diagnostic alone cost $150- that felt high and I called around and was quoted $100 by most other auto shops. Since my car didn’t start and I had no other means of transportation, I didn’t have much choice and had to pay the $155 for the diagnostic. After waiting most of the day to hear from them, I called them at 3:30pm. Then a man named Mike told me that it would cost me $1088.79 to change the starter on my 2007 Acura MDX!!! I was floored (bc that seemed very high) and called around for other quotes to compare local prices for this service. The highest local rate given was half the price of the First Landing Auto Care quote. I decided to hire a tow guy and have it brought to another local car care place bc it ended up being cheaper than having First Landing do the work. What a shame that I feel taken advantage of by the high prices at First Landing Auto Care. I will not be returning for service here and I will be sure to spread the word about my experience. I wanted to share so that others are warned and not put in my situation.

I am very familiar with Auto Repair Bussines throughout Hampton Roads due to my job. I must say, its never fun to have issues with your vehicles. Finding someone or some business to trust is never easy. The staff at first Landing did an awesome job for me at a fair price. Tracy and Steve, kept me updated throughout the whole process. They went above and beyond to inspect my vehicle, and let me know other issues to be aware of in the near and distant future. Very professional. I have used them for years taking care of five different cars along the way. Always give me a complete inspection with suggestions for service needed and time frame when it should be done, but never try to sell me something that is not needed.

I wish there was an option for 6 stars because this place deserves it. Ive taken my vehicle here for oil changes / inspections / general repairs for a couple years now and I am always given exceptional service. The entire staff makes vehicle maintenance, which can be a stressful situation at times, easy to understand and manageable. I took my vehicle here the first time because it was close to home, after having several repairs done at First Landing Auto Care over the years, I would drive across town just to work with these people again. I consistently recommend this auto repair shop to friends and family. Give these people your business and support them- you will be happy and taken care of.

I had the most excellent experience with this group. I have a fleet vehicle that needed serviced and took it to them. Drop off the night before was a breeze with their box outside and they quickly called the next day with the report.I was prepared to coordinate payment through Element since it was over the authorized amount for employees and they already handled it all. It was so easy and they were very polite, prompt, and professional.They have a small lock box outside with individual lockers for after hours pick up. Very convenient!

Excellent customer service. Tire pressure light was on in my new Promaster van and I was helped immediately; all tires checked and air added. Voila! Problem solved! You dont find service like that anymore, but you do here! I returned to have the first general maintenance performed on the vehicle and they did a great job. Fast, good value and always good customer service. Now, taking both of my vehicles here and will continue to do so. Highly recommend.

I have only used FLAC for a little over a year. I was previously going to their competition across the street. After multiple bad experiences at the competition, I went to FLAC. Every time I take a vehicle in, they are so professional, friendly, and offer good advice. Most recently I took my vehicle for inspection prior to leaving the country and they were very thorough. Phil walked me through everything recommended and why it was needed and was able to answer all my questions. I also appreciated the drop off and after hours pick up service because I have to work during the hours they are open. If you want a place that takes good care of not just your car, but also YOU, this is the place.

Was charged for a diagnostic that I did not ask for. They charged me for using a OBD reader when all I needed was a replacement part that was damaged.

My experience at First Landing Autocare on Shore Drive could not have possibly been better. I left my car, after-hours, because it was due for a State Inspection. They have a great system, a Dropbox envelope & you leave your key, respectful of Covid 19. The diagnostic report they gave me afterward was extremely helpful. They checked everything! They called me later in the day & said my only issue was that my headlight lenses were too fogged. I got them to fix my lenses in my geriatric LS430. They did such an awesome repair. My girl looks brand new! Wish I could include a pic!

I have taken my car to First Landing Auto Care since I moved here this summer. They are true professionals and I feel that they take a lot of pride in their work. I know my car is in good hands. I appreciate the printouts of what the inspection revealed, along with an electronic link to the pdf. They have no issues with you waiting for your care, and have a nice area where you can have a cup of coffee and relax. I will continue to recommend this location to family and friends in the area and clearly leave them in charge of my Chrysler’s maintenance and repair needs.

This type of service provider does not exist anymore. The service you receive from your first encounter with anyone at First Landing Auto Care is second to none. The care and attention to every detail are the best I have ever witnessed in getting my car repaired. I stopped going to the dealers service and now use First Landing for all of my auto needs.

I recently went here to get a state safety inspection on my vehicle. I purchased the vehicle out of state and still had temporary tags on my vehicle. When I went in to drop off my car I told the staff I was not sure of my actual license plate number ( I had just recently received them in the mail) but they were in my trunk in case they needed the number. Before I even picked up the vehicle they had sent me pictures of the results of my inspection along with a comprehensive report of the points they had inspected. In addition (without me having to ask) they removed my temporary plate and installed my Virginia plates on the vehicle. They were very helpful and in my opinion went beyond the scope of just doing the bare minimum to make the process easy and customer friendly. This level of customer service is why I chose to give them a 5 star rating and will most definitely recommend them in the future. Thank you for making the process so easy!

Took my truck for inspection and received a detailed print out with images of any issues. I do most all of my own maintenance, but they also provided a detailed list of recommended services and were not pushy about getting them done there. Overall they seem like a very helpful and honest shop...will be a return customer.

This place is the best place I have ever taken my car too in all of Canada & the US.Originally went there the first time because I needed state car stickers- I’ve taken my car there a few times since for oil changes and maintenance and new brakes. They have amazing customer service and do great work. And a bonus they give you yummy candy which actually did brighten my day 💛. My husband believes he should only go to the dealer for car work but he’s now saying he’s going here too. 👍

Ive taken two cars here for state inspection this year and was very impressed both times. They do their own complimentary inspection and give you a nice little diagnostics printout that breaks down issues, both small and pertinent. They will only fail you on issues related directly to state inspection and will not demand unrelated work like soooo many other shops. Estimates are printed for suggested work to be done, whether unrelated to state inspection or things that will eventually fail state inspection.I have not yet had any repairs done here but they seem to pride themselves on transparency and integrity, I definitely recommend them.The waiting area is cozy, with snacks and the morning paper. The front desk staff are very knowledgeable and nice. Go here!

Based on Google Reviews & NextDoor neighbor recommendations, I tried our First Landing Auto Care when my brake lights went out on my car. I dropped it off and it was ready the next morning. The service was great and the cost was very reasonable. A big plus is they are right outside my neighborhood which was super convenient! We even got a thank you bag with candy in the car. I highly recommend them.

Mike and his dad have been servicing my vehicles for more than approximately 18 years. I have found Mike to be an honest, reliable, and trustworthy mechanic. The new owners of the service station across the street where not very friendly and I felt they were out for the almighty dollar. Plus I had been doing business with the old owners for over 17 years before the new one took over. . Since I moved from the service station across the street, I would recommend First Landing Auto Care to anyone looking for a friendly, honest and first class business to provide for all there automotive needs. Im glad I found First Landing Auto Care last year when I needed air in the tires. Someone comes out and actually does it for you with a smile! Recent oil change was done quickly while I waited in the pleasant waiting room complete with refreshments. I recommend First Landing to everyone I meet.

Seriously the best place to have you car looked at. Did a pre-cross country checkout with them, had a 11 page detailed report (with pictures!) of my car emailed to me within a few hours. They cared enough to do some research on my vehicle including finding out where it came from to get more information on a pending issue.Ive lived in many places, dealt with many car repair places and it doesnt get better than this folks.

Another successful visit to FLAC. The customer service and level of expertise here is unsurpassed. My heat stopped working in my car ... clearly not the best time for it... and 3 hours after I brought my car in, they had diagnosed the problem, and five hours after that, I had my car back in full working order. FLAC treats you like family, from start to finish, and I will never let anyone else take care of my car!

Definitely overpriced and compleetly unethical in my personal opinion, My wife brought her car in due to her brakes acting weird. She asked for a state inspection to be done and if someone could look at the brakes.Now as everyone knows the brake system is mandatorily checked during state inspections, however they charged us an additional 63$ for inspecting the brakes.Unfortunately I was not there originally to make sure they werent going to pull something like this, and I didnt have time to argue about it.Now understand im not upset that the car failed, I completely understand why, but your practices are disappointing and I hope someone reads this and makes sure that they get an mechanic that wont try this.
