Finally found a shop I can trust! Ive lived in Virginia for almost 2 years after coming from a small town in upstate NY. Where I used to live there were small shops all over not trying to pull anything over on me or sell a company gimmick. I liked those shops because I trusted what they told me. Ive found in Virginia that there are many different big auto repair shops to choose from and I have had issues with all of them. I was recommended to this shop by a co-worker who has been using them for years. I was a little skeptical at first because the decor kind of look liked what every Nascar fan pictured when they went to heaven. 🤣. But this is a great shop. I was told by another shop that my car needed almost a thousand dollars worth of work to pass my inspection. I brought my car here and they not only told me all I needed was a lightbulb for my license plate but they took the time to explain to me all the other problems that I could have eventually (wear and tear with breaks and tires and such). I felt like for once I was being told the truth and I appreciated being talked to like a person and not like a moneybag. They are also very quick with doing inspections. I will go back to them with all of my issues and recommend them to all of my friends.

Had an appointment to get tires rotated. Lady at the front told me they were having some issues and could not get me in and apologized. I was cool about it. Everything happens for a reason.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Went in to make an appointment to get a wheel bearing replaced and a tire rotation. When I arrived they told me they could get it in same day and have it fixed by the end of the work day. They do great work and dont try to rip you off with extra work that needs to be done with your vehicle. As long as I am in Virginia I will continue to use this business for all my vehicle repairs and inspections. Thank you again!

Been there a few times for an inspection/for some work. Owner was very honest about what my car needed, and told me what I could fix myself so that the bill wouldnt be so high. I took his advice, and then took it back for a re-inspection/for the rest of the work. They ended up doing that for free since they said they had a simple fix for it. Ended up paying probably $60 total in inspection fees and parts, compared to the hundreds other shops would have tried to charge. Would recommend!

Had trouble with my brakes while on vacation and was expecting to pay through the nose as an out of stater. Jennifer was outstanding in letting us know what the options were and worked hard to get the problem solved, get us back on the road quickly, and not break the bank. Took my car in because my brakes were stiff right after I got my oil change and some other things done somewhere else.Autoworks saw that something was still clamped that was stopping my brakes from working properly and took care of it no charge.A very friendly staff and if I have any future car troubles Ill definitely be back.

I usually wait a bit until I write a review for auto shops...to make sure everything fixed is as advertised.I got my state inspection done on a Monday and had my brakes/rotors replaced that Friday. I like that it is close to my office and I can drop my Vehicle off and walk to work. They also have good communication as far as updates if anything may arise while they are inspecting/working on your vehicle. 4/5 stars ONLY due to price, while not out of the ballpark it is higher than I have seen. (I do realize that the awesome location I commented on may cause them to demand the higher prices.)

The mechanics are top notch and always willing to help. Jeremy is the only mechanic that I trust to work on my vehicles! The prices are fair and they will always give you a heads up on what your vehicle needs without being pushy or pressuring you into buying parts or services.

We have gone to many shops for state inspections and are always told we needed repairs that we know we didnt need. Autoworks Automotive has never lied to us about needing repairs for state inspections. When and IF they do it is legitimate. We have had them do multiple work on many vehicles and we are Always satisfied with the work, the price but especially the technicians and office personnel. Lee and JR youre greatly appreciated. This service shop is great! Jennifer the receptionist was very helpful and the mechanic I worked with Mike was very knowledgeable and helped me out of making a bad purchase on a used vehicle! Definitely would recommend them!

This is it folks, The rare auto guys you have been looking for that will fix your car for a fair price and do awesome work. They dont waste your time like dealerships that will have you wait around for hours before they even think about looking at your car (if they do it that day). No jacked up price. The guys and girl working the desk when they can are really nice and on many occasions I have come here they have saved me tons of money if I had took my car to a dealer. We take all of our vehicles there and I recommend the place to all my friends and family.

I had a 95 mustang until 2013. As with any aging vehicle she needed more and more maintanence as time went on. It was always a challenge to find a shop that would honestly diagnose and correctly repair my car until I found Autoworks.Even after I bought a new car in 2013 I still use autoworks for my oil changes and inspections. I simply trust them to take care of my car.

Quick work for a great price!

A very nice and quiet little shop, called and brought my car in and they started checking it right away, Found the problem and fixed it right away, will always come back!

Office manager is nice and informative, owner needs customer service training.

Took my truck in the first time to get the coolant system looked at because it was overheating. They call me and tell me nothing is wrong with the truck. They said coolant was way low but no leak could be found. $180 for a diagnostic fee and 2 gallons of coolant. From the day I got it home it left a puddle in the driveway. Took it back weeks later when it began overheating again while driving and this time they actually find the leak. The fix the leak, charge me another $159 and send me on my way. I get to the truck and the door handle no longer works. Cant get in to the truck through the driver door. I go tell the desk, a couple guys come out and get the door open through the passenger side, then tell me Im good to go. Only reason they fixed it was because I was there and saw one of their employees get in and move it that morning while waiting on a cab. I called him out and they decided to fix it. They were trying to tell me it was my problem. Spent $25 on an extra trip in Uber fare because they didnt have the part on hand and had to get from the parts shop. I have since moved on from VB, but I wouldnt take my vehicles there.

As a customer of auto work for the past few years I can say from experience that as long as the elder man is a manager/owner of this establishment I will no longer be returning there.From the first time I came into that shop to visit my mechanic for the past few years the manager has lacked customer service. He comes off as aggressive and very dismissive whenever I have converstated with him. I have overlooked this issue until recently.I had taken my car in for a routine oil change by appointment. Which was made with my mechanic for him to complete the service. After being bombarded by the whole front desk team he continued my service.After leaving my oil pressure gauge went off and turns out my car was leaking oil profusely. I had it towed back to the shop considering there was no oil in the vehicle. The next morning I picked it up at auto works and received the okay from my mechanic and was told the manager approved it. After taking to another shop I learned my vehicle was a fire hazard because of the excessive amount of oil in the motor, throughout my entire undercarriage and left my brakes saturated in oil as well. I had to call off of a shift to get this completed.I had went back to the shop to express my concerns to the manager. I explained my situation, he told me he was unaware of the entire situation. Denied liability when my vehicle was a hazard to not only myself but everyone around me after leaving his shop. He was completely dismissive and passive aggressive. Basically told me the mistake made at his shop was my problem and that he wouldnt reimeburse me for the damage caused from his shop.The negligence this shop has shown me for a mistake any mechanic can make baffles me. I can no longer stay quiet about my negative expeince here at auto works. If you dare to step into this shop just be aware that if anything happens to your vehicle they could very well deny liability and just be plain rude in the process.

They got me in immidiately for my inspection. Not only was I able to come in as I called, but they had me in and out as well!! Thanks again Lee!

They tried to upsale me to a synethic oil change that my vehicle does not need that cost exponentially more and my hood was not fully closed. They seem to have really good Google reviews so Im not sure if it because I had a skirt and sandles on, Im from out of state, or they treat many people like this who dont speak up, but I am horrified. My vehicle has some quirks and I prefer to use smaller businesses so when I found out I was going to be in the area I looked for a shop. I called and asked how much an oil change was and the man asked what kind of car I had and year. He said because it was an older model I did not need synthetic. When my car was on the rack they said it did. I work in a shop at home. Told them not according to ALL DATA which is basically a Chiltons for all vehicles. They disagreed and she was snotty and said they would put what ever I want in. The entire time I sat in the waiting area the 2 women behind the counter and one of the mechanics were discussing coming to work hung over, speaking poorly of coworkers and using foul language. When I paid for my services I again expressed my disappointment seeing as we use the same program I do not understand how it recommends different fluids and how I called and a person who answered the phone at there place also said non synthetic. She stated they look it up by VIN. My vin for my vehicle is always used in my own shop. Just to make sure I looked at my original owners manual and it says any high quality petroleum OR synthetic and I checked the autozonewebsite. So I left and drove 100 miles back to where I am staying and wanted to check the oil and and make sure they actually change the filter and my hood was not closed all the way. It was only hooked on the latch where it hooks when you pull the lever inside to open it. Needless to say I would give them zero stars if possible. They have a sign on the wall asking people to Google review them and they sure didnt remind me so make you sure you know about your vehicle, double check it for safety leave, there employees may or may not be impaired working on your car, and Im glad my child was not with me in the waiting area.
