Barbers never lets me down. Dominic even worked on my car over a weekend as I had a wheel fall off late on a Friday. I had him quote me for fixing it Monday and then I said, If you do come in this weekend, how much would it be then? He responded, Same price. The work is always quality. I recommend him to my friends and family. Ive been ripped off locally so it is refreshing to get quality work at great prices. I went to him because another friend recommended him.

I didn’t want to go to the dealer do you know inspections ticker so went to barbers. Their technician and management staff told me I would need $1200 worth of work. Upon finding out that I needed so much work done I called my dealer to schedule an appointment to get such work done. Once the Technician at the dealership looked over my car he came and told me that there was nothing wrong with my car and even showed me measurements of brakes rotors and tire depth. Barber’s has lost all by business and if anybody asks me for a place I will never recommend such an establishment that tries to rip off people.Reply to to your comment.My rotors had plenty left on it as did my brakes. You also quoted me 4 new tires, 4 new rotors, 4 new brake pads. Your manager said “oh you need this cause you drive it like you stole it” I baby that car. If my car needed all that work I’m fine with it, I have no problem paying for it. That’s why I took it to the dealership as I wanted to use OEM parts on my Lexus. They had their technician tell me nothing was wrong and showed me all the measurements. Like I said your manager said I needed all this work to pass inspection. You guys got caught trying to rip me off. A place that has ripped people off versus a Charles Barker dealership. Like I said if it needed all that work I would have no problem doing it all, but not going to get lied to because you guys can take advantage of the fact I needed an inspection sticker.

Thank you Shawn and Dominic for a great job fixing our Fusion. Here in Virginia Beach for a Christmas holiday with our son and family and front wheel bearings started to go. In the days here driving around town the noise kept getting worse. Luckily our son has used this garage himself, we called them on NYE day and they were able to work us in. Which was most fortunate since we are due to drive the 800+ miles back home in a day. Loved they honesty and the secure feeling for our trip home. Great bunch of guys!!

I used to come here for years and it was amazing. The past few times I have come in since the company has been under new ownership I have been treated the worst. The technicians don’t talk to me like a human being and they have not looked into the issues that I asked them to. I will not be getting my car serviced here anymore.

These guys are amazing! Very polite, very knowledgeable, and did a great job on my car! I had no idea they existed until I needed to find a place to get a state inspection. Great service!!! They fixed my daughters AC super fast and we have not had any issues. The manager Taylor was very knowledgeable and explained things very well. We are super happy!

So far Ive had good services here. And they did a me a huge favor in putting air in my sons stroller tires. I have a few things done here. So far reasonably priced !

DO NOT GO HERE!! They will say you need all this work go anywhere else but here!!They tried to scam us out of almost $1,000 dollars claiming we needed the work in order to pass state inspection.At first they quoted $550, but then they later called us and said it would be $950 because we needed to replace and replace lower suspension arms and adjust the alignment.We never went back and thank God we didnt. We took it to pepboys and they said all we needed was a simple headlight replacement for $95 (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) to pass inspection was a new headlight.Always shop around, because places like Barbers auto are around trying to take advantage of law-abiding citizens.

I have brought my vehicles, my childrens vehicles, friends vehicles for state inspection for more than 5 years. They do not try to make unnecessary work for themselves. They are a very professional and well operated business. I wrote this review because I noticed some low ratings from other customers. The low marks were because your car is unsafe and you dont want to pay. If your brakes are gone, your wheel bearings and tie rods are bad, I dont want you driving next to me on the road. There is a definite justification for safety inspections in Virginia.

I have been going here for years over 5 maybe 10. I appreciate they point out problem areas on my 2007 Vehicle. I also noticed some poor reviews and wanted to put my experience with them in here. I do many of my own repairs and they gave me info on good parts to use. I always look for scammers and have not seen it here yet.

Cheats... Took my girlfriend car for an inspection simply because it was in walking distance from my house. I usually take it to dealer for everything but decided to try them. They failed it claimed strut needed to be replaced and it would cost around 600.. Went to the Actual Toyota Dealer a day or two later got a simple alignment and they didnt find anything wrong with the car... This place will Never get my business again..... CHEATS

I found I had a flat tire the morning I was leaving from a beach vacation. Walmart and 3 tire stores told me it would be at least a two hour wait to have my tire plugged which meant I would miss an important appointment. The serviceman at Barbers repaired my tire and put it on my car in 20 minutes for $20. (Walmart listed a $30 price). I was very satisfied and made it home in time for the appointment. On arriving home in NC I realized I had left my credit card at Barbers. I called Pam to find it was safe in their lock box . It was returned to me in a safe and secure manner in 3 days. My tire is fixed and working well and I have my credit card back! I could not have asked for better service!

ABSOLUTE RIP OFF! This used to be a reputable establishment but no more. EVERYTIME I take a vehicle there they seem to find fault. When I let this be known to the young man claiming to be the boss, he hung the phone up on me, REALLY? DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE. Im also contacting the Better Business Bureau immediately!! They dont deserve any stars!!!

I have used Barbers on 3 occasions over several years. They are honest and do exceptionally good work. They even post the price on much of their work on a board in their store.

I have been here a few times. Its one of the few places that I feel I can take my car to and not have to worry about being ripped off. I saw lots of return customers while I was waiting and they all seemed to have a good relationship with the people that worked there.

11/1/2014. Brought my car in for state inspection. When completed they brought my car around and it wouldnt start. Once the car was started the check engine light came on. Once that was cleared my fuel gauge did not work. Wanted to charge me $94 to find out what the problem is. My point on all of this is that my car had NO problems until the state inspection.This was my first time using this company and I will not use them again because of the poor work and the fact that they made it seem as if I was trying to scam them for free work.

Let me just say that I have recently stopped using Napa due to the fact that they have been scamming me for years and taking lots of extra money off of fixing things that dont need to be fixed so I have seen the old post of here as well which is why I bring this to the neighborhoods attention as well I recently went to Barbers Tire and Auto it was greeted by a man named Tyler the manager who seem to be reasonable but still young and uneducated. Either way I continue to do business with him... I left my car overnight giving them ample time to look at my car when I arrived at 8 a.m. The truck was ready and inspected but it was rejected (I will post pics underneath).. it was rejected for a few minor things but for a man with few dollars and a very busy work schedule I do not have time for people to burrow their way into my pockets. These minor issues that needed to be solved were right tag light out which was correct front turn signals flash White which was incorrect they actually flash Orange or what some would say amber... After many of my friends looking at this they all laughed and said I was being scammed these are clearly Amber lights... The other issues were I had a nail in the rear tire this was true and they said that front sway bar bushings were bad well the funny part was when the mechanic took off my bar bushings they were perfectly fine in fact he said they would easily last another year. . keep in mind I had to make a trip to Napa Auto Parts in order to purchase some parts then I made my way over to AutoZone across the street to get a second opinion and purchase the rest of the parts... That AutoZone was missing one part so I had to take my truck all the way down to Town Center in order to get the last part needless to say this whole time Im driving around town with every rejected inspection sticker.. not to mention the time and money that I am losing just for these Petty replacements... So I called the state police and showed up to the establishment demanding answers when I arrived they refused to let me speak to the owner due to his absence .(would not give me his #)... So the manager himself wanted to be held responsible thats fine and dandy but in this situation where it seems to be a small-time company taking advantage of me. I was depending a refund and an owner to hold responsibility for his business not a STAFF!!. Needless to say even with the state police agreeing on video tape on Instagram live agreeing with me saying that they did in fact inspect incorrectly they STILL REFUSED A REFUND OF ANY SORT !!! I will just warn you i know a scam when i see on and now have been apart of one !! This company is a disgraceful establishment and i am disgusted that they are so close to where my family has to live. Go there at your own risk this place will take you for everything you have if you dont have car smarts.

Terrible service. I should have known from name Barbers Tire & Auto not to get my vehicle inspection. Sure enough they found reasons to reject it - including, of course, one marginally worn rear tire. I was told the wait would be two hours - it was over three and a half. In my opinion, the employees were not only ugly, but also inept.In short, Barbers is the prototype rip-off set-up.
