In past summers Ive had my car to another service center. Each year it would have to go back for air conditioning repair. This year I tried Art Walker, the staff was professional, my car was repaired, the best news was if the air conditioning goes out again bring it back. The other place never stood behind their repair. Highly recommend Art Walkers.

Nearly unlimited range of services done honestly. Ive had everything from a clutch to body work done there for better than 30 years, always affordable and as promised. Great for in and out inspections too, no leaving your car there all day, just dont wait till 3 on the last day of the month.

Very nice people. Reasonable price. Lets face it, things are expensive for the amount of training you need and labor but they were reasonable. A lot of times you get on the phone and it feels like its not very personal. Got my airbag light fixed and they took my truck to get an exhaust leak done. Along with my inspection. I will be continue to come there for repairs.

Two separate times, Ive had vehicles towed to Art Walkers after car-disabling issues. First time was for proximity to my cars break-down, second time I had it towed to them when it broke down 48 miles away. Both times I expected it to cost a lot and to be without a vehicle for a while. In both cases I was amazed by how quickly they got everything fixed Cheaper than I expected to pay. Doesnt push unnecessary repairs like other places. Dealt with Jerry both times and those guys had me ready to drive sooner than expected. They have my business in the future.

Very rude and they try to get over on people all the time. It’s the one y’all Caucasian man that just looks over everyone like he’s ready to fire everyone or something he likes to pick with the customers. I’ve recommended over 5 people here. NEVER again

Worst shop in town. Way over priced, dishonest, and unethical people who will try to get you for every dime they can. As others have said they will consistently find something wrong even if there isn’t really an issue and then try to charge you hundreds of dollars for simple fixes because they can get away with it. They may seem nice and trust worthy however that’s part of the con. Not to mention the things they do “repair” often cause worse issues shortly after due to being installed incorrectly. Go to 757 automotive instead, honest people who do honest work and get it right the first time.

I went to another car shop to get an state inspection done and the price they quoted to have my 2006 Chrysler Sebring to be fixed and pass inspection was $2,350. I brought the same car to Art Walkers and they gave me a $637 quote for the same repairs. I will never ever to go to another car shop in this area. Art Walkers are the most honest business I have ever dealt with in my life. Cannot recommend this place any more.

Showed up right at the cut off time for state inspections and they still did mine and another customers who showed up right after me. Understanding it was hard for us to get off of work and make it in time during the week to get our inspection done.People there are personable and very informative when I talk to them about getting future work done.Good Prices!

We have been taking our cars to Art Walker’s for quite a few years, mainly for inspections. I’m not sure why we continued because every single inspection resulted in at least a few hundred dollars in repairs. However, we will never go there again and will discourage any others from taking their cars there. They do try to charm you but they are not trustworthy or ethical. We paid 400+ for “repairs” and they actually created a worse problem yet refused to make it right. Art Walker himself would not make it right with us. I really don’t believe it makes a difference that they lost a customer because they have plenty others walking through the door to rip-off.

I would give this service center a negative star if I could! Do not trust these people! DO NOT take your car here! I got my car inspected, they failed me for tie rods which they were correct about, and my emergency brake light was not staying on, they refused to let me show them that emergency brake light did work, they were shoving it to the floor. I got the tie rods fixed, elsewhere, and proved them wrong about the emergency light, at re inspection there suddenly was something wrong with my back brakes, hmmmm pretty fishy and scary, not very reliable inspections. A crack in the brake shoe, scary they didnt see that two weeks ago! They fail you for things that work and pass an important thing like back brakes??? Maybe they didnt like that I had the work done somewhere else?? Or that I pointed out their mistake. Either way they are very unproffessional, I have lived in this area for 35 years and suggest you take your car to a different service station. They are a bunch of good ol boys and its who you know to get your car passed. I have read a lot of reviews that say basically the same thing. If they dont get your money for the fix, they will mysteriously find something else wrong! Very frustrating, they should have said since we missed a very serious problem, bring it in, we will fix it for free keep the customer happy right? I think they need to be investigated.

Called to have my motorcycle towed and was told it would take roughly an hour. James the tow truck driver showed up within 35-45 min and helped me get the bike back home. Great tow prices and awesome customer service.

I just got a state inspection but what I really got was professional, quality, and done in a timely manner. Would definitely recommend.

Been going to Art Walker for over 30 years and never had a bad expedience until today. I needed a state inspection. They have a sign in sheet that they go by. I had three people ahead of me. I had been waiting for about an hour. I was next to get inspected when a person came in and went to the back. I could overhear him telling somebody that he was in a hurry and couldnt wait and wanted to jump in line. When I realized they let him cut in front of me, I confronted the gentleman that was doing the state inspections, he became very defensive and a profanity laced shouting match between us ensued. Its so outrageous that they would treat me or any other customer in that regard. I will second guess any future dealings from this business.

Had my car up, and towed in 45 minutes. Cheap price as well. Chances are your car has an issue. They are an auto shop so they can take care of you right there as well.

I have had some recent repetitive issues with my vehicle that have required multiple tows back to the dealership for repairs. During these issues I had dealt with over 7 different towing companies in various ways, with the majority of them were extremely poor in regards to reliability, punctuality, professionalism, and vagueness on timelines. My latest issue requiring towing had requests dropped or denied by 4 different tow companies leaving me stranded for over 12 hours.Then comes in Glen from Art Walker towing. He was extremely professional, friendly, but most of all understanding of my situation. He was knowledgeable and transparent on the availability of his drivers and trucks and his explanations gave me a realistic understanding of his capabilities and availability. Once we arranged a meetup time to pick up the vehicle it was smooth sailing from there on out. The driver, Brian, also extremely friendly and professional, showed up 15 minutes EARLY, (a first for me) he helped push the vehicle into position to load on the truck, we were loaded and on our way in 20 minutes. Vehicle was transported safely and arrived on time at the dealership.I can say enough positive things about this company.

Do not get your car inspected here! Asked if my brakes were ok and was told yes bc they only have to pull one wheel off to check. 27 days later I almost got killed in my car bc brakes almost gave out and were grinding really bad! Took it to another place to get checked and walked out paying $740 bucks for new brakes and someother things that needed repaired. Went down to talk to Mr. Walker and brought the brakes that were taken off the car and he said only one pad was not good!! He was very nice but I felt as though I was lied to after the inspection. My opinion only. Needless to say, they lost my business and the rest of my families business.

Never have I been so blatantly disrespected. After receiving a phone quote of 165$, it sits in the shop for a whole day for them to call me and say it would be 260$ . Fine whatever, then I get to the shop at promptly 8 the manager jerry signs my paperwork and cashed me out. When my car pulls up out front. My passenger seat is laid all the way down flat and stuck in place. My cds and personal belongings are slung all over the floor. After I finish picking up my belongings and ty to raise the seat up I realize just how stuck it is. I go in to ask for the tech who just dropped it off and conveniently they are all in an insurance meeting. It is now 8:45 and I am still waiting for someone to come out and fix my seat. A quick vehicle pick up turned into an almost hour wait and now I will be late for work. 3 people sitting in the office while I stand in the lobby and nobody offered to help. Stay away from here, stay very far away from here.

If you go to this place, beware of inspectors here. They are all underqualed and inconsistent. I took my vehicle to get inspection and each time. The other inspector would find another issue. I fixed everything myself each time and if they technically find one thing g wrong, that is what reinspection is for that thing. Not looking to find d anything else thats wrong or could be wrong. Very disappointed, lost 10years of my service.

The WORST SERVICE WE EVER received. My wife of 34 years took our new Jeep there with the top off. It started raining and after inspecting they put it outside in the pouring rain. Funny thing is they said they are too busy to keep it inside after she rejected a 45.00 up sale. The Jeep was drenched with water damage. When complaint brought forward the owner is a coward and would not come talk to us. The workers(henchmen) have attitudes the size of their fat bellies. They got fat off of taking advantage of good people in my honest opinion and experience. Only a fool would take their vehicle to this place IMHO. BEWARE!

My car finally died at PepBoys on Lynnhaven Parkway. Called Art Walker, said he would be there in 30 min was there in less than 30 min and charged $60 to tow to RK Chevrolet. Cheapest price I found. Nice guy and worked fast. Highly Recommended!

Not happy at all spent alittle under 2000 dollars to have car fixed and the problem I brought it there still occurs I actually told them I needed a water pump job done they say no its a thermostat fix all that and say its the water pump and they wanted another 1000 dollars after I told them from jump what the problem was and they said they took it on road test and everything was fine but next day all coolant leaks out and the problem is worse then when I took it there I just dont under stand they the ones supposed to be trained and professionals but I basically just got got for all my money and still need a water pump put in the truck waste of money and time

I had my car towed to Art Walkers for an engine repair after Treadquarters on Holland Road (the one closest to Patient First-DONT GO THERE) destroyed my camshaft. I was really scared to trust another repair shop after my horrible experience at Treadquarters but Art Walkers was amazing. They did a great job with my repair. They also changed two tires and my left blinker for my inspection. I got my car back about 3 weeks ago and I havent had any mechanical issues at all. Only problem I had was my car was insanely dirty..I had to throw away my floor mats because mud and GUM was caked on it but Im not sure if that happened at Art Walkers or Treadquarters so whatever..anyway THANK YOU SO MUCH ART WALKERS! YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING AND IVE DEFINITELY THROWN YOUR NAME OUT TO SEVERAL PEOPLE!
