The team here was great. They are very honest and transparent mechanics, which is something to be valued. They cautioned me about all the things Id likely experience with an extended warranty provider (most of which happened) and they were very prompt and thorough in their communications and evaluations. I loved that they shared their diagnostics online with pictures and descriptions too. They arent cheap, though they are cheaper than a dealership, but they do quality work.
European Autowerks has the highest standard or professionalism and the quality of the work is excellent! Whether you speak with Ally or Ramel, the experience is quick and painless with the consumer’s best interests on the forefront always doing what they can to help.I was able to keep a loaner car for multiple days while they waited for a part to arrive. That made my life easier and allowed me to take care of my business without inconveniencing me.Always recommend European Autowerks and have a lifer in me as a customer. Thanks!!
I am very happy with their establishment! Very professional and proficient yet empathetic. I needed over 7,000.00 worth of work done to my bmw. I didn’t know how I was going to pay that on the spot out of pocket. However Ms. Ally helped me get the majority of it covered after my minor collision through my insurance. They fixed it in a timely manor as well. They helped me with back and fourth communication with my insurance company in which they did not have to do. And I’ll be forever grateful.Great place give them a try it’s worth it.-MERCEDES J
I have used this company o numerous occasions due to great service having only used the dealer prior to starting to use this facility. Whenever Overnight repair has been necessary a loaner vehicle has been provided with no cost added. The staff has always been highly knowledgeable and making necessary repairs with recommendations on overall condition of my vehicle that may need attention in the future. I intend to continue having my Mercedes S550 serviced there for the foreseeable future.
I have been going to European Autowerks for 20 years. I am never disappointed. They’re honest, trustworthy & dependable. They keep my car in top condition consequently I have never experienced a breakdown. I highly recommend them & wouldn’t think of going anywhere else.
I’ve used EA a couple of times now since purchasing my BMW they have been great to work with and extremely professional. It was a bit scary at first since you always hear horror stories of the cost of maintenance with a vehicle like this but their prices have been extremely fair and their team is quick with updates, quick to get thework done and always leave the vehicle looking great!
Had my car towed there and it took them a week. The problem I had with my car came back worst and then some. They told me one price on the phone but when I went there it was $400 more.I feel robbed, they price gouge to no end.Now I have to get my car fixed after they made more problems for me after spending $3000.
Went for fuel pump issue. I explained to them I k ew it was the fuel pump and wanted it changed. After one week sitting they called and told me it was the fuel pump and it would be $1160 to change it. With the diagnosis fee not rolled into the labor cost. The fact that it only takes 15 minutes to change the pump I decided against paying more than Mercedes wanted! When I told them to put it back together at 11 am I never received a call back from them at all. Finally I went in the next day and was told that they had to put the seal back on which they never did. Once I got the car to Mercedes they showed me that the cover was never put back and it would only cost $600 to replace the pump which was done the same day! I’m out $155 plus rental car fees for a week and $250 to tow the car twice! I would never recommend this shop! Better off at the dealership!
Great folks!! Super nice to work with and incredibly professional. They really pay attention to the details that reassure you that the did the job right! Definitely would recommend them to anyone!
Liner under car was all most hitting the ground after picking it up. Better quality expected. Check condition of vehicle before and after picking up.
Quality work and great communication. Always awesome to work with this shop.
The staff and technicians showed they arebon top of the game in this industry. The texting reports, pictures, and descriptions made communication so easy. High value for the money spent and i left with a great sense of comfort
I had European Autowerks do a pre-purchase inspection on a 2005 Mercedes S55 AMG. They did such a very thorough inspection. Thanks.
Excellent customer service and service tech staff. Job was explained and preformed to my complete satisfaction. Worth knowing you can get your auto fixed without a hassle and trusting their expertise.
Went here for a Service A it was not done properly they are supposed to change the filter as part of the service according to my manual. Asked them to fix my top they charged me $550 and didn’t fix anything just tried to uncover more issues which was just aftermarket wiring for a six cord. After the service the charged me for an alignment that they could only half way do because it was a “aftermarket suspension”. Then all of a sudden my supercharger belt snapped and they can’t fix it. Really they are only trying to make as much MONEY as possible. I know this because I asked for one marker lamp to be fixed and they said because they weren’t amber it wouldn’t pass inspection and both needed to be changed and quoted $310 😂. I found out I can have clear markers with an amber light underneath. Stay away they charge money and don’t fix anything at all.
Nice to find an independent shop that specializes in European cars with Mercedes being a main focus. Just inherited a 2004 Chrysler Crossfire that is mechanically a 2003 SLK 320. The car even scans as a 2003 SLK 320! Chrysler service techs dont know much (if anything) about Mercedes. So, I figured best to have it serviced where techs are used to working on this SLK platform for 20+ years. There arent many of these Crossfires around. If you have one, dont trust it to Chrysler techs. Despite some negative reviews here, I found the shop to be completely honest... Had the Check Engine, ABS and BAS/ESP lights on as well as a screwy auto deploying power rear spoiler that is only to deploy at 60 MPH but was acting up and cruise control was dead. Research indicated all these issues could be a relatively easy, single fix tied to one problem... Most likely one or more wheel speed sensors had gone bad but it could have been the ABS control module ($$$) or a few other things. My code reader cant read ABS codes. I did get a generic vehicle speed sensor code but that could have been a number of sensors. So instead of throwing $ at parts guessing I took it here. Diagnosis was as expected, the left rear wheel speed sensor had gone bad. No games played, no multiple sensors replaced, no unnecessary replacement of the ABS control module thrown in for more $$$. Problem fixed and everything is working fine again. I know there are going to be people out there with their code readers who complain that shops charge what they do for up-front diagnostics but lets remember they arent diagnosing with a $39 code reader from Amazon and shops and their technicians have a lot of $ invested in tools, training and equipment not to mention plain old experience. Those who want to go on ghost hunts and start throwing new parts at a problem guessing be my guest... Your trunks will be full perfectly good back-up parts in no time. I also had them change the brake fluid (need special equipment to do it right) and engine coolant as add-ons as I dont think they had ever been changed (dont skimp on these or youll have major problems to address at some point - Paying for an ounce of prevention today beats paying for a pound of cure tomorrow). Also of note, when you call this establishment someone answers the phone almost immediately... I cant tell you how many times Ive ended up in voice mail hell trying to schedule service for my other American cars at their respective dealers when theres work that needs done I cant or dont want to do myself.
Took my MKV GLI in with an oil leak that I thought was coming from the engines rear main seal. They narrowed it down to the transmissions output shaft that was spewing fluid all over when driven, they had my car back to me two days later after changing out a few seals and doing a DSG service. The prices are a bit on the high side for everything that they do but you cant beat the warranty that they give. All of the staff was extremely helpful and the facility is extremely clean, it rivals most high end dealership service centers in my opinion. I will definitely be going here for all maintenance that I cant do myself due to lack of proper tools or time.
First we live all the way in Suffolk.. but After having my R350 at another shop for weeks without any real diagnosis or timeline given, I had my car towed here based off the tow drivers recommendation. Not only did they do a COMPLETE inspection of every system good and bad but they returned a full diagnosis and reasonable quote to repair my vehicle (even a few I was issues I was unaware of)... add to that, prompt professional communication (no run around or numbers games) AND a 36,000 mile warranty of work preformed!!!Highly recommend and will continue to have them service my R350 and S430!
Great communication, very clean and professional. Got my car in and out in just a few days . Little pricey but it’s worth it for the quality of service your getting, mechanic even fixed a few things I didn’t ask for 🤝
I failed to mention that Remele is Awesome with a capital A!!!
We made an appointment for a glow plug on our 99 Mercedes 300 turbo diesel. Ali the front desk person was courteous and helpful. she made the appointment and later arranged the use of a car as we are ffom the Outer Banks. The job was a bit of a problem as the rear glow plug wouldnt budge. We had to leave the car. On Monday morning we were called that the car was ready. I was very satisfied and would highly recommend their service.
My vehicle 2012 535 ix drive headlight issues. I am satisfied with the work.
ERIC AND GUYS HAVE TAKEN CARE OF OUR FAMILY VECHICLES FOT 10 YEARS. NO ONE ELSE TOUCHES OUR RIDES. IF YOU WANT 100% confidence choose EUROPEAN AUTO WERKS.
Gave good and accurate information to my daughter, who told me she appreciated their ability to get her car in fast for diagnostics.
Great communication. Thorough prepurchase inspection. Would have like a discount ton the cost of the inspection after getting the work done with them!
Service was great and professional. Employees were courteous and knowledgeable. Will definitely use them again.
Chris & service team are great.
Excellent and friendly service, professional and they are very thorough. We will be back!!
Ramel was great. Professional, friendly and took the time to explain what was wrong with my car. I love the photos they send to my email showing where the problem is located. Car was finished before the promised date. It was EXPENSIVE but I think that it was probably the going rate. I will return.
Amy was extremely kind and helpful. While waiting for my car I could hear her interactions with other customers. Smart, knowledgeable and engaged...she is an excellent ambassador and face of the company. I will do all of my maintenance there and would recommend the Company to my friends.
Great service personal and efficient, quality service.
Staff is welcoming, the process of getting a loaner car was easy and all the ask is you fill it with gas upon returning. Price 2/3 of what any other place would charge, and a 3 yr/36k warranty is pretty solid. I still recommend DIY, but for jobs that you just dont have time or tools for, bring it here.
Before I was even sent this survey to complete I mentioned to my business partner how impressed I was with European autowerks they’ve dialed in on a new level of service not found in other automotive establishments. Frequent communication, detailed diagnostics, well versed administration and to top it off, fixed an issue the so called high end dealer group couldn’t. The pricing was fair for what needed to be done and they were considerate of our time needs.
After reading some impressive reviews on Yelp, I brought my Daughters Jeep Wrangler in for an inspection and a few other small repairs. I was happy with the service and price! Will come back again!
Greatest place in town! Had issues from a previous repair shop and these guys fixed it all at great value and short time. Also great communication!
European Autowerks staff are professional and efficient, they were highly communicative about my options for repair, the cost, and the estimated completion date. Their rates are affordable for the expert service provided as well, I would highly recommend anyone in need of mechanical repair come here first!
I went to this business because of a check engine light, I had the code from my diagnostic tool. I checked my car in and the clerk mention a $155 dollar diagnostic charge. I thought about it and insisted that I only wanted this code fixed. The Manager (very vocal) came out of his office and insisted that this had to be charged. I took my car to the dealer and they fixed my car as I request with no extra charges. Do not go to this garage because of the hassle.
Everything is good, never had anything we have not liked. A must try
Water pump was replaced and valves cleaned. Eric was extremely informative. Thanks
I’ve been doing business with the owner for years and I wouldn’t trust anyone else to repair my vehicles as good as his team does. They’re not the cheapest, but I’ve definitely learned in life that when it comes to car repairs, you get what you pay for. Additionally, their customer service is truly the best I’ve ever experienced when dealing with a mechanic shop. I’ve recommended my family and friends, and unless something changes, I’ll be going back for many more years to come.
They went above and beyond than what was required for servicing my car. I was floored by the level of professionalism and how thorough the communication was.
Theres another shop now at this address. Person at the counter was very unforthcoming, almost rude
Front desk receptionist was very friendly and she came in early so I could pick up the loaner care and get to work on time. I was notified of the cost before the job was completed, and was able to pick up my car after work. They were quick and efficient.
Took an 04 Audi to this shop to get a diagnostic because of some issue I had which I later found out was my MAF (Mass Airflow Sensor.) They charged me $352 for a “level 2” diagnosis and then told me my sensor was not plugged in and the hardware needed to be tighten and coolant refilled. So they charged me and extra $200 just to do that. So I spent around $600 with them just for my car to breaks down again that very same day. So, I bring it back and now they tell me something in my coolant popped off and all of it leaked out, which is something that’s never given me an issue until leaving their shop. So I payed another $150 to get the plug fixed and coolant filled again. Again I leave and the next day I begin to have the same issues I had when I brought it in the first time so I took it back to see what wrong now and they tell me my MAF was aftermarket and sometimes doesn’t work well with Audi so they priced me another $550 to change my sensor. At this point I just told them to give me my car and left. So after spending almost $600 just to have 0 results I will never comeback here. To replace this sensor takes less than 30 minutes so I went and found the OEM MAF for my Audi bought it for $151 and put the sensor on myself. They were absolutely terrible going there made me feel like they were a shop that just wants you to spend spend spend and keep you coming back after finding issues that never were issues until seeing them.
Awesome job done for me. I am out of state and had a pre purchase inspection done and saved me thousands and gave me negotiation leverage with the dealership. Was the best $220 Ive spent!
The staff at European Autowerks provided a thorough estimate of the issues I brought to them. Once authorized by me, they performed the work stated for the estimated price. Each of the staff with whom I came into contact was very professional and punctual.
My experience with European Autowerks was awesome. They texted detailed information about my inspection and had my vehicle ready by the end of the day. They will definitely be servicing my car from this point forward.
I really am satisfied with this shop. The customer service is invaluable. They take great pride and professionalism in preventive maintenance and maintenance of my vehicle. They are extremely knowledgeable and thoroughly explain what is necessary for my vehicle. I wouldnt go anywhere else. Thank you all for the best of service!
European Autowerks is amazingI had tire troubles and found myself at several tire places trying to get a blown those replaced. As a result, no one could find my special tires. When I called Alley. she had them there the next morning. I came in so peacefully knowing that my car was being properly taken care of.I highly recommend them for their pleasantness and cleanliness along with their professional staff and expertise.Dr. Stephanie Johnson
Did state inspection.
The staff, mechanics and service is excellent. I have never had an issue with any repair that European Autowerks has ever done on my car. I have been going there for regular maintenance for years and it beats going to the dealership hands down. Thank you to all the staff, owner and Ally who is always helpfulDavid G.
The people are very helpful and accommodating.
Bring your VW to EA, first! They have the best mechs in the 757. Same prices as the dealerships, but EA has the 3 yr parts warranty vs dealers 1 yr warranty. And your vehicle will be fixed right the FIRST time! DO NOT go to Southern VW, unless you like being screwed. European Autowerks are the best!
I work for a local body shop and they were able to get the vehicle in fast. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I will absolutely use them in the future. Keep up the great work!
European Autowerks gets the job done! They are communicative, thorough and thoughtful. Appreciate having confidence that things are in good hands.
Overpriced.
While the staff was nice and the place was clean they charged me more than what the Volkswagen dealership would have charged me for rear brakes and rotors. They also called me when the work was done to let me know I had a coolant leak and it would cost $120 to do a pressure test to figure out where it was coming from. I declined, seeing as I had already payed $450. Took it to my mechanic that has been doing my oil changes for the past two cars and 6 years and he said there is no evidence of a coolant leak and that my antifreeze was full. I dont know if they just misdiagnosed a problem or if they were just trying to get more money from me. So all in all, I dont think you get anything special for paying a little extra. I dont think Ill be back.
I had to have a significant amount of work done on the engine of my truck and they had it done the day after i dropped it off. I will definitely be returning to them for regular maintenance.
Coming from N.C. Im an early arriver and the crew makes my trip a pleasant experience, thanks folks!
To start they don’t know what they are doing. Had my Mercedes service. Took it in because I had an oil leak and was told that a full diagnostic was done on the vehicle suspension as well as engine. Valve covers and seals I was told. Mind you I was adding oil to the car maybe every 2 to 3 months if that. After letting them do 1900. Of work. The same day of me driving the car home it was 1.5qts low and was now losing oil 80 to 100 miles every drive. Oh and Jordan is a smooth talker. He makes you think he’s your friend and that he wants to help but in all reality they just want to keep playing with your car until the figure out the problem. I had to take the car back 4 times since I had it out. And it is still losing oil somewhere.
I brought my car in to get a specific problem fixed. They ran a diagnostic. Told me the problem and gave me a price of 2500.00 to fix. They also charged for diagnostic. I gave the ok and they supposedly fixed it. The same day I picked it up the next day it displayed the same exact problem so I called and they said to bring it back so they can make it right. Later that day they called me and said they had to do a more extensive diagnostic and charge me an additional 350.00 for diagnostic. I told them that didnt make sense and wasnr fair to me. I then agreed cause I was in a bind. The next day they told me it was a totally different problem and wanted an additional 3500..00 to fix. For a total of 60000 plus. I said so you replaced a part and performed labor on something that wasnt the problem. They told me thats what came up on computer as malfunctioning. When they dug deeper they found it was something else. I explained to them I dont have money for them to play trial and error and we need to come to compromise based in their mistake. They told me the part they replaced would have needed replacing in the future anyway. After back and forth conversation they wouldnt take any responsibility for their mistake. They said it was my fault I didnt ask for the right diagnostic, and either pay the additional or o well. So...I had my car towed to the real Mercedes dealership mercedes ...and they were a totally cheaper for same labor and price. I admit they have fix my car in the past and did good, however this time around I feel like they took advantage, wouldnt recognize their mistake, and didnt appreciate me as a repeat customer. I would never ever go back to a place of business who dont hold their self accountable and puts this mistake on their customers and thier wallet. I do not recommend if you want a smooth transaction without any hiccups or hidden cost
I have a mercedes GL450. I brought a total mess to them and they got it all straighted out relatively quick havent had any problems since if I have anymore issues I know where Im going
If you own a Mercedes Benz and dont know about this shop....you are truly missing out. European Autowerks offers fair, below dealer hourly rates, honest work and great customer service. You wont want to go anywhere else after your experience here. The best part for me was the honest answers and the customer service. It is so rare to be able to discuss my car with people who take the time to explain the service to you and give you honest answers about why the service is needed. The ability to trust the people working on your vehicle makes all the difference to me.
Will never return!!! They kept my vehicle for almost a week when they said it would take a couple of days, I ended paying more than I would have at Mercedes and they didn’t solve all the problems with the vehicle, I was very disappointed with them. I would advice everyone to just go with the professionals at Mercedes!!!!!!
Had an unusual problem with my Mercedes and European Autowerks not only fixed the car but reprogrammed a lot of misprogrammed checks and data I had no idea were problems in the computer. Also, was done in a timely manner. Very friendly staff. Thanks very much!
Helpful, friendly staff who are customer-oriented. Excellent experience
Great shop for your special automobile! Job done right the first time. Even a great deal on tire installation and state inspections. 2018 Store has been sold to new owner. Was quoted a repair price of over $4000.00 which I was able to get completed for about $1100.00 at Beacon Auto Repair. Girlfriend was also quoted a very high repair price at European Autowerks
Customer service has been outstanding through a tiring 2+ week ordeal. Highly recommend. They do their best and make sure you leave satisfied!
So yeah, had an expensive repair. But as always I was provided with prices right in front of me, and I was walked into the shop and shown all the issues before repairs were started. I got to say Jordan took excellent care of me, and is top notch when it comes to communication with customers. If you want it done right this is where you go.I will certainly continue to use this business in the future. Thanks Jordan!
I had a pleaseant experience coming here for replacement of front and rear brakes and scheduled maintenance. Jordan is an excellent communicator and I appreciated that, especially because of my variable travel schedule. After service was completed and paid for, I was still out of state. I asked to have my car parked at the shop over the weekend. No problem. Then I asked them to deliver it to a friends house. No problem. I will be coming back here in the future due to my own neglect of my vehicle or scheduled maintenance, whichever comes first.
Great experience- good service feel like I got a good value for the price- thank you!
Jordan explains what needs to be done very well. Fair pricing. Great work. I trust rex and other mechanics there to take care of my car.
As usual, Eric and his crew I knew exactly what to do. I am always amazed by their level of expertise. I wants had an electrical problem and went to the dealer who charged me $400 and did not fix it. Eric have it fixed the next morningOn this occasion, our car developed a fatal oil leak that could have totaled the car. Eric and his team fix it in a very thorough manner that allows us to keep the car. We are very grateful for this excellent group of mechanics and administrative staff. I especially liked working with Jordan who helped us At the front desk and over the phone
For several years I have dealt with Ally. I have found her to be knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. She is an asset to your front office.
Saw some favorable reviews for this place when my wifes car was having issues. Took it in and I was charged $350 just for them to tell me a sensor was faulty and it would cost another $700 to replace. The sensor in question cost me $60 at an auto parts store and I was able to replace it myself. I dont even wanna know how much an oil change would cost. If you are having issues with your vehicle, Id highly suggest finding somewhere else to go unless you dont mind taking out a second mortgage.
Although some would think a little pricey I have always received excellent service.
Great service and the receptionist is also knowledgeable. The prices are great and they are quick with service. Would definitely recommend going here.
Awesome service and kind/professional from the front desk to the mechanics.Thank you so very much.
European Autowerks is my 1998 SLKs best friend! Just had our annual service at 188,000 miles and ready to surmount 200,000 in 2020!
!!Trusted mechanic for over 10 years!! I would not trust my truck or my wifes jeep with anyone else. They are always fair and honest. If I do have a problem with an issue (which is rare) I bring the vehicle back with a loaner car waiting for me. They never try to add on additional work like most places.
Customer service agents are very friendly and knowledgeable. Beautifully renovated decor.
These guys and gals keep me going dispute the 2003 Toyota!! They are as great as the keep my car!!!
Had a very disappointing experience with European Autowerks today. I have been to this facility many times before, with no issues. I dropped my 2012 MERCEDES E350 off in the morning for an oil change. FIVE hours later I received a text message, stating the tech heard a knocking noise from my engine, asking if I would like them to address this issue, before doing the A service. I said no to the engine knocking, and for them to do the oil change. As the engine knocking sounds like a dealership warranty issue.TWO hours later, I get a phone call, saying I could come pick up my vehicle and they would discuss there findings. I get there and find out that they did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. My car was there ALL day, and they DID NOT HAVE the common courtesy to call me, nor tell me the reason why they did not perform the oil change. I asked the man behind the counter, who told me they didnt do any work, because they did not want to be liable, what is the reason why they could not call Me? As the text message did not imply no oil change would be done. Neither did the text indicate what actions would be taken to address the noise. Are you running a diagnostic? Are there any additional charges? No details given, nor did they respond to my reply text. European Autowerks could not give me an answer as to why they did not call. This company has changed. The older gentleman i usually speak with, i think maybe one of the owners, would have called me from the onset and stated what needed to be done, and the reason why. European Autowerks, you have lost a customer for life. The warranty on my vehicle expires in a few months, and I could have been a long repeat customer. You have lost all credibility with me. I will be taking my business elsewhere. *****Updated response to European Autowerks **** This detailed explanation was not given to me when I was called to pick up my vehicle, nor in person. You stated that i refused service, which is erroneous. You did not provide any itemized list of the services that were needed. You sent a text asking me if I wanted you to address the ticking noise. Not being notified by your company of the safety issue with the ticking noise, I opted to have Mercedes to address this issue as it is under warranty. No one responded to my text notifying me that no work would be done on the vehicle. I received a 3 minute explanation and was sent on my way. To give a customer there keys and allow them to leave off your lot, in a vehicle you deemed unsafe to drive, and not fully notify that customer is absurd. Your response further confirms my reason for posting my experience with your company.
For the five plus years I have been using European Autowerks for my MB repairs and maintenance, I have ALWAYS been impressed. I may not always like the cost, but no one ever said MB maintenance was cheap and neither is quality service. I have a 30 year old that the team at EAW has helped me prioritize what needs to be completed immediately and what has more life left and could be delayed. This was my daily driver for four years with no problems. Now with a second MB, letting the 88 rest for weekends, the team has been extremely helpful addressing some intermittent issues with the newer model. Overall, although I sometimes cringe at the cost, once I understand exactly what they have done for me, it all makes sense and I can then see the value in working with a group of well trained professionals. For those who do not see the value, I wish you luck elsewhere.
Customer service sucks
Excellent customer service. Was referred to another place for further service.
Easy to get an appointment, great service and advice, I even bring my non-European cars here. Best in town.
Good service!
European Autoworks does the maintenance on my 2016 GLC 300. Most Recently had my tires replaced and the service was completed in a timely manner! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable!
Quite Frankly, these other negative reviews dont hold any validity to me. This shop is exceptional. Everything from convenience of text communication and emailed invoices, to personal calls when unforseen issues arise. Extremely honest, fast, hardworking professionals. If you are getting quoted less anywhere else, odds are its cause they are pulling wool over your eyes. They even arrange tows from and back to your residence. My uncle owns a competing auto shop in the area as well, I come here because I enjoy them that much. Plus they send email reminders about maintenance! You are only hurting yourself if you go anywhere else.
So glad a friend referred me to this service provider, I had been going to the Mercedes Benz dealer for my service and paying way too much. I am so pleased with the timely manner I am able to schedule appointments as well as receive my service suggestions and car back within a matter of a couple hours.
Honest Autoshop with good pricing
The five stars are just to get this review in --actually should be ZERO!Since these people wont let my actual bad review get posted on their site, lets try it this way...If you have a Mercedes, beware of the new European Autowerks. (Probably should also no matter what car you own!) After 20+ years of great service from previous owners, I brought my cars in and found that they are looking for VICTIMS, not customers. First visit required reconnection of loose hose on air suspension pump --no other problems existed. The bill: $900+ and the part they said needed replacement was not defective -but was replaced anyway. Second visit was for fuel pump replacement on CLK.Their quote was $1500. Had car towed to Auto Haus who did exactly same job using original MB parts for $400 less, including diagnosis, parts and labor. Watch out for over agressive selling by main service advisor using their courtesy inspectiontechnique. Totally unpleasant experience --dont say you have not beenwarned.Reply to EAW response below --This is their typical attempt to cover their sinister attempts to abuse customers (read: overcharge and mislead.) No part involved in theirwork on any of my cars was installed by me, nor did I ever request that I supply any part for their repair on my cars.I DID INDICATE MY DISAPPROVAL WHEN THEY QUOTED AN OUTRAGEOUS PRICE FOR CLK FUEL PUMP REPLACEMENTAND HAD CAR TOWED TO A COMPETITOR. INVOICE FROM THEIR COMPETITOR FOR IDENTICAL WORK, LABOR AND PARTS FOR $400 LESS THAN THEIR QUOTE IS AVAIALABLE.Just try to submit a review that is critical to them on their own website and see what happens. iT WILL NEVER SHOW UP.
I gave been going here for 3 years, spent thousands, and was pleased until the other day. The customer service is severely lacking!!! I tried to schedule a tune up and when called asked about something that was previously told to me and not only was my question not answered I was also politely dismissed. I was told that I would receive a call back for pricing for my tune up by Aly and I was never contacted. I will not be going back.
I had heard good things about European Autowerks from the local Mercedes owners club, so I tried it out. Absolutely loved the experience! The dealer quoted $950 to change spark plugs and wires on my 2002 S430. European Autowerks did it for less than $700. Identical MB parts and quality, just less expensive on the markup. Same with the A service. After getting reamed at the stealership for other preventative maintenance work, I will be back to European Autowerks when my B service is due. Its still 2/3s the price, but I was treated like they wanted me back. That wins every time in my book!
I have been going to the folks at European Autowerks for perhaps 10 years. I have had 6 MBs serviced there, currently a 2000 500S and a 1986 300SDL. These guys have, above all else the two most important qualities you must have in a repair shop. 1.tremendous expertise and knowledge2.honestyThe fact that they are patient, kind, friendly and willing to please the customer is just icing on the cake. They are priced right, and you could not find a better place to pamper your MB!
I used to take my car to the Mercedes Benz dealership but stopped after a bad experience. My friend recomended me to European Autowerks, I will never go back to the dealership ever again. The service and prices are great here, I have saved so much money here. I dont ever feel ripped off, they are trustworthy and reliable.
Eric and the crew are great people who happen to be mechanics.
Diagnosed correctly, repaired once, done right, no returns req for unsolved issue.
I trusted Chuck for years until I was getting divorced. Suddenly quotes for repairs he had given me on one of our Mercedes were far different for the same issue on the same car when brought in by my wife. When I would take the car back, they would then re-quote the lower, original quote. The real back breaker for when I was leaving for Florida and requested they check a small oil leak falling to my driveway. They wrote it off as a common oil cooler leak; Told me I would be fine until it got worse sometime far in the future. Well, 1000 miles later in Florida, that leak turned out to the me turbo inlet seal and had destroyed/shorted the air controlling actuator to the tune of $1800 to get home again. That was the last of our use of this business, We found the new MB dealer to be better and cheaper.
