Tax preparer left off my only dependent had to file an amendment and 5 months later still have not received my return and the IRS says additional paperwork needs to be submitted.

When there was an issue with me getting the advance the guy that did my taxes went to a co-worker/manager to find out what was going on and the woman he spoke to was rude as could be with him. Me nor my husband could believe the was this woman talked to the guy. It was UNACCEPTABLE. If my taxes werent complete we would have got up and walked out. However it wasnt our tax preparer fault he simply asked a question for us. I did not get her name but wished I had. I have used H & R Block for years and to have someone i am trusting with my money have that kind of attitude does not make me feel comfortable. Will never be back to this office, if we ever come back at all!

Dont go to the Villa Rica office. They definitely do not have it together. Do not believe any information the receptionist gives you. She is very nice but misinformed on their tax process. Tax Preparer was very unknowledgeable of how their system works or new tax laws.

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and have always received my return in 5 days or less, so this year i tried H&R Block in Vilarica Ga. Today is 3 weeks and nothing but my state return has cleared my account, 300$ of which H&R Block in Vilarica Ga. Took out their 200$ fee, they set you up with a tracking link you cant open so i go to ask them what the problem is and they cant answer anything i ask about opening the link to check progress on my return! I was speaking with the lady at the front desk who was very polite as i was to her, but a younger lady came out of one of the cubicles and rudely broke in the conversation and had no answer to the simple question i asked about opening the link so it was evident she doesnt need to be preparing anyones claims! I have never written a review on anything before good or bad but today i have to voice my opinion about this, i will never use H&R Block again, Im 59 years old and have filed many tax claims and never have i been so disappointed in whatis supposed to be a company you can trust!

They are great. I usually do my own taxes and just dont understand how they charge so much for the same thing I can do. But if you need it done & dont wanna do it yourself then go to them. Also they tax advance is a maybe thing, maybe you get it & maybe you dont. Its based on your credit.

Everyone was wonderful

This is my first year having my taxes professionally done and I must say my experience was not great. I uploaded my W2 to something called MyBloc but the “tax pro” was unable to access soI wasted time on something that was supposed to make the process more efficient. Also I was asked if I wanted to apply for a refund advance, which sounded excellent, however the info on this seemed very vague.... basically I was told the money may or may not appear some time soon? I’ve never had such vague info in terms of a credit type decision. I was also informed the day I filed... which was Jan 12 that I would have my refund in 2-3 weeks... upon doing my own research I now realize that returns filed with EIC and child tax credit are not issued until mid February... not to mention the IRS didn’t open until Jan 28th.... it remains unclear to me as to why I would ever again pay for an inefficient service that gave me misinformation.... I would expect accuracy and precision from such a service.
