I haven’t gotten my hair professionally cut in almost 3 years and had not tried anywhere in Mankato till today. I had Rachel for my cut and she did an amazing job! She was very nice and understood what I was looking for with a cut and layers! It turned out exactly how I wanted and I will be back when I need another haircut!

I have been seeing Miranda for the last year and have always had a good experience. She is professional and makes recommendations based off your hair goals and with your hairs health in mind. I booked the salon for my wedding, and they did an amazing job on-site, and did great on the ladies hair, including mine! I tried extensions for the first time recently, and they were decently priced compared to other salons, not to mention life-changing to my hair game! I love coming here, I always leave feeling flawless!

The staff here is super friendly and they’ll explain what they’re doing to your hair. My stylist was Rachel, and she did an awesome job doing my balayage! The place was super clean they had some nice, upbeat music.

Rachel Harding was my stylist on 06/17/2021. She did an incredible job! I was highly satisfied with the way my hair turned out and she did exactly what I was imagining. She did a cool balayage, cut, and toner. Definitely request Rachel the next time you visit!

I had a wonderful experience with Rachel. Told me what you expect with what we were doing and gave me an estimate on price to see if it was going to work for me. And while working she explained everything she was doing. Would definitely go back.

I had gotten a perm from one of the hair stylist, she was super friendly and nice. I wanted a beachy type curl to it but also curly. The stylist said that she was able to do as I had explained to her, but as soon as my hair was defused it didn’t look curly at all and if anything it looked like it was tangly. I waited it out until I got home a couple hours later and proceeded to damp/wet my hair and put some curl enhancing product in then defused my “curls”. I wasn’t very happy at ALL with the outcome being that the perm wasn’t anywhere near to what I had explained to the stylist. There was also a huge chunk of hair that was straight too. Definitely wasn’t worth my $165 !!

My friend recommended Heat to get my hair done so I made an appointment with Jill and she was absolutely AMAZING! She was so friendly and did an amazing job on my hair. When I walked in there I had faded purple hair and she was able to get it out and give me the perfect balayage that I was looking for! Would definitely recommend going in and making an appointment with her!

I got my hair done recently and fell in love with heat! I had Jillian balyage my hair as well as give me a chop! I came in not really knowing what to do and ask for her advice. She did a great job of explaining how balyage is good for people who want low maintenance hair care and how it would most likely work best for me. Even though I was her last client of the day, Jillian did a great job of creating a very fun and positive environment. Getting your hair done in a pandemic is weird but she did a great job of making me feel comfortable! She took pictures of my hair before and after and made a simple service feel very special! Will definitely be returning.

Heat° Salon + Lifestyle Studio is by far the best place to get your haircut in all of Mankato. As a student going to school here for two+ years Ive had numerous haircuts from my stylist Deanna Gregory. Her along with the entire staff always extend a warm welcome and even get to know you by name! The talent they have extends way beyond mens cuts, they are experts in customer service. There has never been a time Ive not been offered a beverage. You get a choice of seasonal beers, wine, water, and coffee! One last thing to consider if you want to visit this salon is their accuracy. Just tell them or show them examples of what you want done and they will nail it perfectly. Ive never walked away unsatisfied.P.S. Mens cut includes a great conversation (or non at all if you want to relax), a straight razor neck shave, and a glorious shampoo wash with a scalp massage. If you choose Deanna, she does amazing mens high & tight fades.

I’ve been a client at Heat Salon + Lifestyle Studio since the very beginning and have had an incredible experience every single time. The team is so friendly, the space is gorgeous, and the work they do is the best in the area, hands down. Since launching their product line, I’ve also purchased a few items and the product line quality is amazing.

Check before getting anything done what the price is, was pushed to get a cm length trim while getting root touch up and charged $45 for it. Disappointed to find out, as I didnt want a trim, they offered a $5 off. Sad I wasnt informed of the pricey cut prior to it happening.

I love this salon! I have been many times over the past 3 years and have loved my color and cut every time. I also had my hair styled for my sisters wedding with the rest of the bride tribe and everyone looked amazing! The receptionists are always very welcoming with smiling faces and there to answer any questions I have about products or future appointments. Nothing but good things to say!

All of the staff are super friendly and helpful when it comes to questions. Every time I have gotten my hair colored I have left more than satisfied with my visit. Sally is very knowledgeable about her services and always listens to what I want done and completes it to perfection. Let me start off by saying the all of the ladies at Heat are top notch professionals and their hospitality is beyond welcoming and warm. I used to get my men’s hair cut done by Deanna, and I say “used to” only because I am no longer in the Mankato area. Deanna was always friendly and does an outstanding job both with men’s styles and women’s. Since moving to the cities I have struggled to find a single barber/stylist that comes even close to her level of talent.If you’re contemplating on whether or not to go here for your personal needs I would highly recommend it, you will not be disappointed. They are very modestly priced and every single stylist there performs at the highest professional level that you would expect in the industry.

Not worth what I paid at all. Olaplex treatment wasnt even left on for 10 mins like instructions say. Plus charged $45 for a bad choppy haircut when Ive got better cuts at great clips for $15. Plus she burned the top of my head while straightening and theres no excuse for that. Not very impressed with my experience.

Taylar did a cut and color on my hair! I have never had such an amazing experience when getting my hair done! She did such a good job, I am super impressed! I can’t say enough how great of an experience I have with Amy doing my hair. She has a true talent for coloring l, cutting and styling hair that suits her clients. She takes her time with you and works with incredible precision. When I came to her a little over a year ago, I had super dry, damaged hair from bad products and excessive styling. A year later my hair is the healthiest it’s been and back to growing. Amy is excellent at understanding what you want out of your hair appointment, even if you’re like me and stink at explaining it. Aside from her exceptional talent, the next best part about seeing her is her honesty. If you ask her for her opinion on something, she’s completely truthful no matter what. Five stars isn’t enough; she’s absolutely terrific at what she does. I’d highly recommend her no matter what you’re looking for out of your appointment.

Taylar has done my hair before and she is super friendly and nice! I typically dye my hair blonde and she’s an expert at it. Loved it everytime, she’s cut my bangs before also and they were perfect. Overall 10/10 would recommend!

I was never a person who only went to one hair stylist until I sat down in Amy’s chair. At each appointment Amy provides excellent service and my cut or color turns out exactly how I wanted it to. I can honestly say she has saved my hair as it has never looked so good and I have found the only person I want to work on my hair! I would follow Amy to the moon!

I am from out of state and was really excited to get my hair cut while home for the holidays and was excited to try this salon out for the first time. My overall experience was great and I left feeling really good. The next day I was styling my hair and realized one side was ½ an inch or more shorter then the other side. I had no time to drive back to this salon and get it fixed so I went to a salon closer to me to see if they could even it out and the stylist ended up having to cut everything again because it was so significantly different. I asked for a one length cut which should not be that hard. I had high hopes for this salon and was sadly very let down.

Came here for the first time for a haircut with Megan. She was very punctual and so so nice.Im always worried about seeing a new stylist, but Megan did a great job at listening to how I wanted my hair styled and it looks so good. Thank you!

Overpriced. Paid $70 for my two teenage boys to get haircuts. Nothing special, basically the same experience as if you would go to a Great Clips.

Made an appt. online at 10:30 pm last night with Megan Grack. I had not met Megan previously, I read some online reviews and hoped for the best. I am happy to say, Megan is awsome! I showed her 2 pictures of similar styles and she did a stupendous job. I absolutely love my new haircut! We visited like old friends. I was in out quickly, even though I was a few minutes late. The service is a bit pricier but being able to book online and get in the next day with Megan makes it worth it!

I got a haircut and some highlights done by the manager. I forgot her name but shes absolutely supportive and great! The prices are reasonable and I would go back for another haircut! They give you water, tea, or coffee when you come in.
