I’ve brought my sons here many times before. They are pricey for the quality, however the cuts have always been passable. Recently, I brought my two sons in for a simple, basic haircut. Each child had a different stylist and each one looked like an amateur did it. I submitted a feedback request online and they called and offered to try to fix the cuts. I had already fixed the haircuts as best as I could and they did not offer to refund. I was told that the two stylists were taking classes to get better which made me even more disappointed and angry. I do not understand why they would be allowed to cut hair if they don’t know what they are doing or if they don’t have someone checking their work. At the very least, they could charge less for someone who is learning.

I followed Tiffany from another salon. No one else does as good a job as she does. She really listened the first time I went to her, and she still remembers each time I go. Besides being knowledgeable and talented, the woman is a hoot!

Rebecca cut my sons hair and did an absolutely horrible job. When I called to speak to her after my son left in tears, she was very nonchalant about it. She did not listen at all to what my son asked for, essentially she did a hack. It was awful. Trying to get in touch with someone is near impossible.

Walked in around 1:15-1:30 without even checking in on the app and within 5 minutes I was seated in the barbers chair, even with 2 gentlemen in line before me! A wonderfully pleasant young woman named Alisha who gave me a perfect and very long overdue haircut! 10/10 customer service, professionalism and conversation! Very pleased with my haircut and overall experience, will be definitely become a repeat customer!

Been getting my hair cut at this location for 20 years. Can’t get in a chair in under an hour and past few days it has been two hours. 9 am, 5 people in line and one person to cut hair-over an hour wait. Used to be a quick way to get hair cut, now might as well make an appt with an established shop and not rely on “first available” recent barber shop graduate. The next closest sports clips shop at ranger apparently has closed its doors.

Scheduled a haircut with a specific stylist. My appointment was for 5pm. She was with a previous customer and went over my time. Fine, I get it. While this was happening, walk ins were getting their haircut before me because they didnt specify a stylist. Again, I get it. However once she finished with the previous client, she decided she was done for the day and leave. I was there waiting for 50 minutes past my appointment for her to decide she was done for the day. Why wouldnt you let me know during the other clients haircut you were leaving? Why not switch my preference to First Available much sooner instead of me getting passed up by several walk ins? Absolutely unreal. Once she told coworkers (and not the client waiting) she was leaving, I stood up and walked out in frustration. Havent has a haircut at this franchise in 5 years and now remember why. Never going again.

I like the atmosphere at Sport Clips. Online check in is smooth and eliminates a long wait in the shop. As for the haircut, I can only speak for my experience with Kari. She does a great job with a fade. Ive gotten a lot of bad ones over the years, where the transition from the sides to the top is sloppy. Karis fade is fantastic. Shes also friendly and makes good conversation. Shes got my business for good. Once you find a barber or stylist that does your hair correctly, gotta stick with them.

First and last time here. I checked in online, and completed my check-in at the counter. The roster said my wait was slightly longer than was projected on the app, but that was okay; I can expect a small delay. Then I waited longer than was expected, and got a text saying my appointment has been cancelled. I was never made aware that they can cancel a haircut without warning. Im taking my money to a different business, one thatll actually see me.

I brought my son to get his hair cut tonight and Amanda took care of him. She was AWESOME and had the perfect amount of energy to keep him entertained for the whole time she was cutting his hair. He is super excited to show all of his friends his new haircut tomorrow at school! Very pleased with the service and professionalism!

I’ve been to this location three times and all three times with three different stylist kept cutting my fade too high after telling them and showing them a picture still did not get the haircut right, the personal is good and clean place but will not return

I had my hair cut here numerous times with no issues, this past time my stylist’s hands were literally shaking as he cut my hair. One side of my hair is an entire different length than the other and now I will have to go elsewhere to have this fixed. Very disappointing and utter lack of attention to detail. Also, the stylists sleeves were falling onto my face the entire time I had my hair cut and kept reassuring me my anxiety of getting my hair messed up was unjustified.

Staff is always friendly, regardless which stylist I have always had a great experience and haircut. With haircuts the experience and conversation are equally important. Regular customer, and would recommend this place to others.

This barber shop goes above and beyond when it comes to haircuts. I always leave loving my haircut! The staff is friendly and are fun to talk to while cutting my hair! They have many different hair products to try as well!

Place works out just fine. If you make appointment online things run very smoothly. The same stylist has helped me for the last three years with no complaints.

Unfortunately it’s become apparent that those who work here are clearly more concerned with themselves and not the customer. I’ve witnessed rudeness and snarky comments made to other customers merely for asking questions about hours. Additionally, they close the app to sign in online more than 30 minutes before closing, and won’t take any more jobs even when no one is in line with over 25 minutes until actual closing. Better service can be found elsewhere.

OK so I am recently growing my hair out to donate to cancer patients I’m still somewhat undecided on whom to donate my hair to and/or what organization but the ladies at sports clips in West Ashley have all been super kind super nice and I do have a select few ladies that actually braid my hair while other clients are beside me getting buzz cuts here I am getting French braids and corals LOL I highly recommend you visiting this facility because they do have the upmost customer service and some of the best smile‘s

Brought my 8 yr old in for a bald fade with a line up and a trim off the top! Cora did an outstanding job! My son see’s a barber regularly and has never had such an amazing haircut. We’ve received so many compliments! Will definitely be back to see Cora again!

Ive been coming here for my sons haircuts since he was a toddler. If youre looking for a place that cuts boys hair, Id highly recommend this place as theyre quick and reasonably priced. I used to come in as early as possible to avoid a wait but ever since Sports Clips started their online check-in feature I no longer wait like I used to. If you havent tried it you should as it saves a place in line for you without calling or coming in and tells you when you should show up to be seen that day. Again, its incredibly helpful and I always show the hairstylist a Pinterest picture of what I want when we come in and they make it happen in no time.

Yes, this is indeed an one star review, but first let me do some explaining. I walk in with a friend of mine, and we sign in. I thought all was well... I figured what could go wrong? As I sat down in the chair, I looked at myself in the mirror, then at my hairstylist. I explained that I wanted a 2 on the sides, and a little off the top. I soon watched in horror as I saw clumps of my precious black hair fall to the ground. A darkness overcame me as I saw the hairstylist within seconds transform me from an average good looking guy, to a black headed Q-tip. I am now constantly getting harassed by how terrible my haircut is. The comments seem to never stop, bro, your head looks like a microphone... why did you decide to shave your hair... I thought you were a black tennis ball for a second. From this moment on, I will cease communication with the outside world, to lock myself within the walls of my own home until my hair grows out and I can take me and my hair somewhere else. Thank you sport clips, thank you.

Dont try to go there an hour before they close or they will turn you away, and rudely. As if you are doing them a service not the other way around. And regardless of a trim, a pluck or anything shy of full haircut you pay full price plus tip. Not worth it. Most dont know how to blend hair any better than I know how to blend paint. Save your money, go to real barber.

I have been coming here to clean up my mane. Wait times have been a little long but understandably due to being a walk in and not making an appointment prior. Staff here is great make you feel very welcomed and not too pushy with trying to upsell which is reason why i keep coming back.

Sports Clips West Ashley is great. I started going there five years ago and now take both my boys. Its a fun father and son outing and they always have the game on. The haircuts are so good, my wife wont let us go anywhere else.

Ive been a customer for over 5 years. I have gone other places, but i always come back. Jamie always cuts my hair to perfection and never gives me a reason to go anywhere else. I highly recommend this place for kids or adults and their level of service is more than satisfactory.

This is my go to spot for a haircut. Everyone is real nice, and they do a great job. Lately though theyve stopped accepting walk-ins after 5:00, even though they close at 8:00, which is very inconvenient for people who work 8-5. Have been turned away the past few times I tried to go in.

Been going to this Sport Clips location for several years now. I live in the next city over but drive out of my way to come here because of the exceptional customer service and haircuts. The stylists are personable and do an excellent job. This is the best Sport Clips location in the lowcountry and the new manger Amy is doing an excellent job!

Long waits but the stylists are amazing. Karri is the stylist I use and she does an exceptional job. She was even able to save my head after a local barber shop butchered my hair.

A great atmosphere and clean shop. The ladies are always nice and helpful. Amy is our favorite and my son will see no one else but her. He also loves the NASCAR decorations. I love the TV on sports.

This is the only place in Charleston that I will get my hair cut. I have tried several other places, but none have even come close to Sport Clips in West Ashley. Easy location, short wait, nice people, and great haircut every time are only a few of the reasons why Sport Clips rises to the top. You never have to wait more than ~5 minutes and you cannot go wrong with any of the stylists. ESPN is always on--so plan your haircut during your favorite show. Would highly recommend this location to anybody.

Maria is a great stylist but most of the time the line is out the door. I wish they would hire more people so we dont have to wait 30 minutes for a cut. If you can catch the timing right, Maria is the best in town!

Ive been going to this location for a few yrs with my son . Usually with good results. This time I arrived @ 5:35 the sign on the door and there website says they close at 6. I didnt make my apt online because it said there was no wait. When i got there they told me that I was too late, that if they took me they would be there past 6. So why dont they lock the doors and stop taking online reservations @5:30 . I will never go there againThanks Sports Clips !!

It has been three years and there is no chance I would go anywhere else. Jamie is amazing and all the girls working are very friendly. Ive been going to Sport Clips in West Ashley for 3 years now, ever since i moved to the area, and Ive had nothing but great results. The staff is very friendly and the salon runs extremely efficiently. I dont think ive ever waited more than 10 minutes on a walk-in and everyone there is qualified. I usually go to Jamie(she already knows my particular haircut by now) but Ive never had a bad experience with anyone. I would highly recommend checking this place out if you want a good quality/affordable cut. I still drive there even after moving to the Folly end of James Island because a good haircut is hard to find!

The new check in process with the ability for me to see an estimate of how long I have to wait is great. Ive never left SC with a haircut I wasnt completely satisfied with. Prices are reasonable compared to other places Ive tried.

I had a horrible experience and I will not be gong back. Jennifer was my stylist. It all started with her body language when I was called up. She didnt smile, her body slumped slightly, just a kind of I dont want to be here attitude. She asked what kind of haircut I wanted. I said I would like it tapered on the sides, long on top. I had a picture to show what I was going for. Again she had very negative body language, she seemed upset at me for even being there.She grabs the clippers and starts doing my back and sides. Ive never had someone cut my hair that aggresivly before in my life. Just pressing into my head with each stroke. She would grab my head and lean it or push it without talking or asking. I felt as though I was being punished the way she was going at my head. She turn me around and I see the other guests smiling and talking to their stylist. Mine just seemed mad to be there.She finally stopped and proceeded to finish the top off with scissors. It was in that moment I could feel just how hot my neck and ears felt from her aggressively cutting my hair. I didnt realize just how red it was until I saw it in the mirror.I dont know what was wrong with Jennifer today. I still tipped her, never know, maybe she just had a rough day. But theres no excuse to treat me this poorly. Ive never had an emotional experience getting my haircut, but I can tell you I felt extremely low after this one.

I had a haircut today at west Ashley Sports clips. And noticed few cuts on my neck which are clearly visible. When I asked stylist (Angelica), she was saying it’s quite common telling other reasons. It’s really unprofessional, I don’t want to visit this place again.

I keep giving this place a chance because they are convenient. First barber complained about her break-up and how she had no sleep and was emotionally unstable the entire time... making me nervous. Now today whoever this was, had no idea what a fade was or how to do one. She then continued to try to convince me that it was faded after obviously forgetting what I requested.

Always come here to see Britt and she does a great job. But have dealt with others such as Amy and Dawn and they all seem to know what theyre doing and give the cut I ask for.

Walk in at 3:30, theres 3 people in the waiting area and they say its 1hr 30min wait. Convenient, since you close at 5. Online it said 25min wait. We drove to the location in N.Chas, 5 people in waiting area and they said 25min wait.

I’ve been using sport clips monthly since they opened this location and while Maria is easily the best in town, I have over all these years come to find that ALL the girls in this location will provide an excellent haircut. The girls are ALWAYS friendly, enthusiastic and down right fun. Lauren is also a great stylist who is in Maria’s league and she loves to impart her infinite knowledge about hair care for the exteme environment I work in and it has made my thinning hair feel thicker and fuller w/out purchasing any other hair care products that I’ve been using for the last 8 yrs,Paul Mitchell.While I miss the old mgrs(Danielle& 💕Jaime)Amy paisano has stepped up to manage a very high volume store and you can see her influence and enthusiasm work well during every visit.The wait is always so reasonable that I go during my busy work day without delay to my customers. I like the new sign in method and of course the brilliant lobby layout and always happy staff. Sport clips is essential.

Hit or miss place. Had some decent and some bad haircuts. After 4 times, I go somewhere else now. That particular shop is not worth the risk.

I like that theyre stepping up the digital game now. Sign in and check out on tablets. I heard you can even check in online before you arrive. Haircuts are easy because they save your past haircut in the computer, but each stylist cuts it slightly different, so sometimes its hit or miss.

Bad haircut, overcharged on my credit card (an extra $10 tip was added without my knowledge), and unprofessional staff. The young lady who cut my hair had me waiting up at the front counter to pay while she finished her text messages until another staff member told her to put her cell phone down and pay attention. Come to find out, that young lady is the assistant manager at the location. Go figure. Even though I have a free haircut on the books, I will be collecting my stolen money today and never returning to this Sport Clips.
