We use Hiscox whenever we have problems with our appliances. We trust them completely. Really friendly and easy to work with. You know up front just what to expect.
I have had 3 appliances repaired through this company over the years. The repairs were always done in a timely manner, even when they needed to order parts. My favorite thing about this company is that they are honest. I never felt like someone was trying to upsell me. Just affordable, efficient, honest, quality service.

The thing with repair companies is you just want someone to tell you, you should fix this or you should replace this. Hiscox does just that. They come out and shoot you straight and in this day and age its refreshing.
They did a great job and I would highly recommend them.
Not that great. Took two weeks to get them here cause they wanted to reserve the whole day as their window. Said they would call the day before and give a shorter window. When they did call they still said whole day. Not going to work

Steve Hiscox came to my home today to fix my KitchenAid gas oven. It wasn’t keeping the correct temperature. Steve was quickly able to adjust it and correct the issue.Thank you Hiscox Service! Always a pleasure!
I called and scheduled an appointment, received confirmation call, called back within 20 minutes. Was confirmed! Didnt receive call to set up time day before appointment, i called and was told i was scheduled for a different day because i didnt confirm original day?????? Most certainly did, woman on phone didnt care that the days available didnt work for me at all, she had no issue losing business, customer service, they made need to google it and see what it means! Go somewhere that wants your business!
The man that came to service my washer told me there was nothing wrong with it and charged me for the service call, all good. Until the problem persisted and I had a different company come check the issue and was told exactly what is wrong and the parts will be here on Monday and my washer will now be fixed. I informed Hiscox of the misinformation from their technician and requested it be made right as I have now had to pay for another service call due to the error made. I was informed that they will not be doing anything to rectify the situation. The woman was rude on the phone and when she was told I was unhappy she said well we have 100s of people that like us. Well thats fine Hiscox but this unhappy customer will be sure to let everyone know about your rude and unsatisfactory customer service.
I had to mark 1 star to be able to post a comment. 10 months ago I purchased a cargo van that had previously been owned by Hiscox Service, Valparaiso. For tax purposes, a business is supposed to keep their maintenance records for several years. The van is acting up so I thought I might be able to find out what repairs had been done so I could figure out what else I needed to look at. I called and, after passing me off to several people, they claimed they didnt have any maintenance records. I am sure the IRS would be happy to know that they dont have the records for last years taxes filed this year. If they will lie about this they will lie about most things.
If you have appliances that need repair, you could not do any better than Hiscox Service. Steve has made repairs for us on a dryer, refrigerator and oven broiler.In addition, he patiently reprogrammed a temperamental KitchenAid dishwasher that we were about to replace. It is still operating perfectly one year later.At Hiscox they are prompt, prepared and professional. Yourtime seems valued. Steve was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. They are the best!

I was very satisfied with the service. Pricing was thoroughly expained to me when I called. Technician, Steve, was quick to diagnose, repair, and answer questions. Would use them again without hesitation.
He was very expensive. It only took him a few mins to repair my oven and he charged me big time!!
We have been struggling with some crazy dryer problems, and Steve has been so helpful, so patient and SO KNOWLEDGEABLE in helping us. Its been quite a journey trying to pinpoint the issue with the strange dynamic of our dryer, but Hiscox hung in there and ultimately helped us figure it out. We are so thankful!!!

Complete rip-off. The tech. looked at the small pieces of material on the floor and under the washing machine and could tell the washer was un-repairable. Never took out his tools or removed a single screw and charged me $145.00!!! It took him longer to write the bill than the service. Most companies will charge $60.00 per half hour for WORK or the service call is the minimum $60.00. I understand they need to get paid for coming out but that was a rip-off!!! WE WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.
This was the worst experience Ive ever had with a company . The first time they came in prepared knowing what was wrong and still didnt bring the right parts was rude to my wife called her stupid. Then had to reschedule. Then when they came back today not only was he rude to the point I almost had to throw him out he woke up my child was sloppy with his work and then took stuff out of the refrigerator and then when done left without me signing off on his work and left all my food and dairy out on table and all the parts spread all over the kitchen from old device. The panel is now not working on the fridge will have to call another company and tell them a repair guy broke it . On top of it all called the management and they didnt care at all the basically said oh well and hung up
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND VERY MISLEADING. Took one day not showing up when they were supposed to for the first visit (they wrote down wrong number) so I had to call and find out why they never showed.... then they said I had to wait until the following week for the to come back, the next week they came and only spent 5 mins charged me $145 for visit and informed me it would be another $90 for the part, I said ok as I needed this fixed and already waited almost two weeks, they ordered the part and waited another week. They came back and apparently missed a part (said it wasnt broken last time but was now) ?!?!? IMPOSSIBLE SINCE IT WAS NOT TOUCHED OR USED SINCE IT IS BROKEN AND THATS WHY THEY WERE CALLED IN THE FIRST PLACE.... so then they said it would be another charge of $30 for the new part( belt) I was not there I was working so I left someone with the money and they handled the visit. When I was informed I was going to be charged more on top of what I already paid ($240 total at this point) I called to complain and lady was rude, wouldnt let me speak to owner and threatened to send to collections over $30 after I just paid them $240. DONT GO THERE !!!!!!! WOW. HORRIBLE SERVICE and very rude and misleading! So much for taking pride in your work and being honest, this customer is not happy and def wont go back or ever recommend someone to go there. I have the signed paper with the agreed price and they still want to send me to collections for $30 for a MISTAKE THEY MADE!
The service is poor. Because my refrigerator was working better before they came to our home. They disrespected our home by not putting the equipment back the way it was before they touched it. The tech wouldnt give me a receipt for his work. Telling me that I cant sue Electrolux. Any excuse to not give me a receipt. Like he was hiding something. So I called customer service to complain. The Customer service gave me the run around ABOUT she had a heart attack etc. It was crazy. I will report them to the B.B.B. and to Electrolux. Because they can not ever come to my home again..

Disappointed to hear my elderly mother was charged a full service call fee, only to be told her washing machine couldnt be fixed and to get a new one.
