Very knowledgeable service person. When they could not solve my problem over the phone, they sent out a tech who replaced a fuse, explained why it was there, why it blew, and how to avoid problems in the future by cleaning the exterior coil. I was very pleased with his helpfulness and professionalism. I highly recommend this company for heating and ac needs, service, repair, or new installation. I had a furnace service done on December, and he explained how they could not check the ac then due to the temperature.

Be aware you will receive shotty work from this company. Thermostat always gave us problems after installation. Called and ask if under warranty to help us get working properly and charged. Had to hire to adjust installation problems. Be ware!!!!! This is the company that did work on my home. I just spoke to you today on phone. Again poor quality of work! The work was under my husbands name. Be aware this is the type of service you will receive from this company. Nothing suspicious just hard working people warning others of bad buiness.

I am certain that the other review on this company is a fake. My experience is the complete opposite. I called last Friday to let them know my water heater was leaking. Even though it was clearly leaking, they still wanted to come out just to see it before they would send an estimate to my warranty company, which would have cost $75. I asked them if they could just send an estimate because I know that it is bad and dont want to be without hot water for 2 weeks. They sent the estimate, on Monday, which was very nice of them, at least I thought it was until the warranty company called and asked why I wouldnt let them come do a diagnostic test. Now Tuesday morning I get an email that my warranty company said I told them I would be using a different company, which I did not, and that they are completely booked for the rest of the week and will be passing my business on to someone else. Long story short, will be 11 days with no hot water(just for an estimate, will be longer by the time the warranty company approves it)because this company cant find 2 minutes in their busy schedule to come see water pouring out of my water heater. So if you dont have an emergency, then this company may be fine to work with, assuming you can wait 2 weeks.

Quick summary: Horrible company, refused to fix, threatened with law suit for writing this review.Where to begin, I’m completely confounded by this whole companies work and customer service.Having recently moved into a new house, I came to find out that I have some ducts under the main family room that have fallen and are creating some condensation when mixing with the mid west cold winter air. That paired with some bad grading, I have a damp crawl space I’m actively trying to fix, part of which, includes said fallen ducts. So, I call GL Jorgensen to help with that issue as well as to get a proposal on a whole house central air system ... seems like decent business to me. However, having told the two techs that came over that the space was a bit damp, they responded that it was “no problem.” 10-15 minutes later the two techs approach the front door with not even a spot of dirt on them. They begin to tell me that the job is too much... because too much business and work is a bad problem?!? So, they don’t even attempt to schedule a later date or help remedy the current situation, they just tell me to call someone else. So, I’m sitting in a cold room mid December with my daughters and wife, completely frustrated that I called the “pros,” and they left running.Having been completely dismayed and left in the cold I calmly call the company to inform them know I’m extremely dissatisfied and will be leaving a review. The secretary transfers me to the owner Garry so I can attempt to rectify the situation. Albeit, I wouldn’t intend to use the company for anything nor would I recommend them to even turn the knob on an AC unit or thermostat! I digress. So, as I start explaining my situation to the owner he starts raising his voice at me. He then proceeds to inform me that he was just on the phone with his corporate attorney and he would love to sue me for writing a review. I laughed as he threatened my 1st Ammendment then proceeded to hang up on me.So... hypothetically, if you were left without the use of of your legs and arms in a freezing room: would you rather freeze to death or call GL Jorgensen... Definitely the former, it would be a less waste of time!

When you do buisness in this day and age,it would be wise to understand that people have access to the internet and friends who might know stuff that you dont. In other words research. We had a problem that i could not repair on our furnace and after dealing with more than one HVAC contractor we called Jorgenson on a tip from a friend.These guys were honest and professional.They gave us a fairly priced option on having our aging furnace replaced.They checked to make sure the furnace was safe to operate and replaced the burned out motor at a fair price.That is all you can ask for.Jorgensen is now our go to HVAC contractor. This is in response to Jason Rines. G&L was following our company guidelines, which is to confirm a diagnosis before repairing. A company can provide an estimate based on a hypothetical diagnosis but with water on top of the water heater, a company would need to verify it is the water heater that is the issue and not the connecting plumbing. It is wholly unfair to blast G&L when they were being responsible and professional. Mr. Rines had already uninstalled the unit rendering a diagnosis impossible. G&L is a wonderful company who works diligently on behalf of their clients (and our clients) and should absolutely be at the top of anyones list for excellent plumbing work at reasonable prices. We work with thousands of contractors across the nation for the last 20 years and would strongly recommend G&L to our clients in the greater Valparaiso area.
