I have worked at Pacifica for over a year now. I have come to know the culture and atmosphere of this wonderful place. Everyone looks after everyone here. No one is left out. Neighbors always reach out to one another and offer any act of kindness to make someone feel belonged and at home. I am proud to be a part of this culture....and I am honored everyday with the opportunity of making long lasting positive contributions in the lives of some especially extraordinary people!
Words cant express how much we, as a family, appreciate the exemplary care our mother receives at Pacifica in Union City. The staff has always shown special interest and concern for each individual resident. This has created a family atmosphere that we can sense each time we visit. Any special needs have been met with warmth and patience. Our mother knows the names of all the care givers because they have formed true bonds of friendship. We enjoy reacting to all the planned activities that brighten the residents’ days with energy and humor. Most telling of all, after we take Mom to our homes, doctor’s appointments and excursions, she always says, “Time to take me home.” A big thank you to the leadership at Pacifica for fostering this wonderful environment that continues to keep our mom safe and happy.-The Daughters of Mary Berbel
Amazing staff that go the above and beyond for care! Residents are wonderful. Wonderful community
I am thankful for the lessons and experiences I am gaining from Pacifica Union City. Everyday is a different day. I enjoy the challenges and look forward to gaining more knowledge. I am lucky to have mentors and support from Lisa, the Business Office at Pacifica San Leandro and Rammy, our Executive Director.
Wonderful caring staff that go the extra mile! Beautiful clean community.
I would not recommend this memory care facility to anyone! My mom was there for less than 3 months and got out and walked down a busy street TWICE! They will tell you how secure it is, with locks and alarms, but it’s total BS. The first time she and another resident got out late at night and proceeded to walk by themselves to a Burger King. The police were notified (not by the facility) and we got a call at 10:00 pm by Union City police. They had no idea where these women had come from! The second time my mom was able to get out by herself and walk nearly a mile away. The Union City PD found her once again, and no one reported her missing from memory care. The officer was extremely upset and concerned for my mom’s safety. He took her to the station and filed a case number. Again, no word from the executive director Rammy.I decided to take my mom out of there, for obvious reasons. When I did request a meeting with Rammy, she blamed it on my mom who has pretty severe dementia and said she was too high maintenance for them!! Not only is this woman who is executive director incompetent, but she is extremely rude as well. One of these days a resident is going to be killed by a car, without a doubt. If you care about your loved one, stay as far away from this place as possible.
This place is horrible. There isnt enough space to detail what they did to my mother. I will tell you they stole her bath chair($200) and wheel chair when she past away and then pretended they didnt know anything about them, but her room was locked and no one could just go in there.
I have visited Pacifica Senior Living Union City many times and each time I find something more appreciate about the community. The community and the apartments itself is very bright, well maintained and clean. They have a nice garden with a lot of places to sit and visit and I love the idea that pets are welcomed.
My name is John and I am 17, I volunteer at Pacifica Senior Living Union City. Everyone is nice here and they love to help out the residents for the best. When I first started volunteering it was weird. I was shy and it felt weird but when I kept coming to volunteer. I started to like being here and I actually talk here a lot then anywhere else the residents talk to be and I talk to them because they need someone to talk to all the time. Being here has changed me a lot.Back than I used to think that getting old was a bad that you lose your hair and you cant do things like you used to, but being here has changed my perspective because getting doesnt matter, what matters is that you ARE YOU and that your personality never changes. Watching the residents doing the activities makes me smile everyday. Being old is not a curse, its a way to know life and the meaning of intuition.New members come to Senior Living and I see them participate in the activities, they enjoy doing the activities. I some times do the activities for them because I love helping them out. We are people and we must think of the reflection and help others in need. Have a smile on your face to your Grandmother and to your Grandfather to make their day, and think of something when they feel like they dont have a good day.
Lovely community! Recently had a tour, meeting the Executive Director and several staff members who I found to be friendly and efficient. The tasteful and upscale decorations as well as the comfortable dining area made me feel at home immediately. I especially liked the outdoor patio area and know that my mom will enjoy her time here!
I was invited to visit Pacifica SL by an associate and within minutes of my introduction to the community was impressed by how friendly the staff were toward me, a total stranger, and how much genuine caring and attentiveness they showed toward their residents. I have experienced many communities having worked in the field for several years and am tuned into the genuineness of staffing. Kudos to you, Pacifica, for finding the right people to care for your residents.
I have visited this community and found it to be wonderful. The staff are caring and the community is spotless! I will be bringing my mother too and know that she will love it too.
Excellent community, terrific and friendly staff make visiting a delight. The facilities are well-maintained and clean, with amenities throughout the building. My interactions with the staff have all been very positive, theyre quite service-oriented. Ive enjoyed interacting with every staff member and I have had exceptional experiences with Renee, Kathy, Eunice, Teresa, and Billy. Thank you!
Beautiful community. The owners are finishing up a renovation and have selected beautiful colors and furnishings. You feel the staffs energy and commitment from the moment you are greeted by the receptionist to seeing the staff interacting with the residents. This is truly Home for seniors!
Looking for a home for my mom was a difficult time for me, she required more attention than we were able to provide. There were challenges that I had not been faced with and I wanted the best that could be afforded in our budget. We live in Gilroy, so I decided to use A Place for Mom, a senior referral service, to help with this process. Through this service I found Pacifica Senior Living and have been happy with the decision. The staff has been very supportive from the start and has made my mom comfortable, from engaging in activities to personal hygiene the staff has been there for her. If youre seeking a home for your loved one, you should consider Pacifica Senior Living in Union City.
Friendly staff, nice place. I will recommend this place if I know somebody that needs a assisted living.
It is a nasty place, carpets are stained everywhere, smell so bad inside to the build, also dont take good care of the elders, if elders are sick they do not sent to hospital, and many people is getting scabies there..
Excellent place!
