This is my second time coming to this establishment and I have not been disappointed in either encounters. Every time I go, I am greeted with kindness and smiles. The appointments have started exactly on time and when I show the picture for my desired nail style it is executed. Prices are reasonable and I will definitely be back. I am new to the area. I don’t understand how this place has great ratings and good reviews. But my experience was not good. The person who did my nails was a guy. I’m guessing the only good one is the owner. His hand was shaky and did not bother to take his time. I paid extra for callus removal and I realized after that I did not get that service (still got charged for it) and as you can see on the pictures, you can see the callus. He didn’t bother to take out some of my cuticles. I had a regular pedicure, callus removal, gel, and gel removal. All for $61. I’ve had way better service before somewhere else than this for a lower price.

Absolutely my new favorite place to get my nails done! I’m not the type to go to nail salons regularly, but for Yen I just might start. She did both my acrylics and pedicure, and was so sweet. Very down to earth, conversational, makes you feel at home! You can tell she works hard and truly cares about her customers. She was also very detail oriented and wanted to make sure my nails were absolutely perfect. They came out beautiful! Will definitely be going back.

Im new to the town and went to this place for the first time with my friend. I came out very disappointed and wondering how it has such good reviews. I got mani and pedi from the older female with glasses. I got gel removal and one tone gel for mani, callus removal and one tone gel for pedi.For mani, while she was removing the gel (extra charge), she damaged all my natual nail, scratching it with the metal cuticle pusher. The polish was not applied evenly and the lines are all crooked. She did not even remove all my cuticles which I had to remove it at home after.For pedi, she did not even remove my callus (which was extra charge) and still charged me for it. Polish was all crooked also and no cuticles were removed what so ever.I was not satisfied with the service at all and along with my friend who went and got the pedi from the male staff. He did not removed her cuticles nor callus. I am not going back to this place and will not recommend it to anyone.

I rendered Nails by Yen services today and as always were pleased. One of their clients made some rude remarks after her service as she was exiting and it was dusturbing to the clients in the salon. Yen handled her with grace, professionalism and understanding. My experience at this salon has always been good and satisfactory.

Nail tech was rude and unfriendly. They charge $1extra to use a credit card. Tips are only in cash. I gave him $10 bill and asked forsingles. He only gave me a $5 billback. No singles. Very unprofessional way to get a bigger tip. They lost my business for good.

Me, my roommate, and her entire bridal party got our nails done here for her wedding and they did an amazing job! Everyone was friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with our experience. Definitely would recommend this place!

Fantastic! Great Service! Fairly Priced! I have Acrylic nails. I have not been very happy with my nail tech recently where I normally go to get fills and when I have needed a new full set. This last fill 2 weeks ago I felt left my nails completely misshapen and way too thick. So I looked up on Google for good reviews and quantity of reviews not just 1 or 2. Nails by Yen had alot. Even though they were a bit of a drive I thought Well anything is better than these shovels on my fingers It was an appointment within 30 mins of me calling. Yen Fixed my nails!They are perfect. They are exactly the right length. which is almost my exact nail length. They are thin and elegant. Yen had no problem using my water slide decals for my ring fingers as I am a consummate panda girl and always am glittery and will always have some sort of panda on my nails.Thank you Yen. I have found a new place to have my nails done. I will make sure that people know of the great work and how happy I am with your work!

Ive been coming here since last January or February.Yen is always very nice and professional. The last few times Ive come here, the polishing has been very sloppy. Last time I came (two weeks ago), there was a brown spot under my acrylic when she was doing the fill. She used her drill to investigate and told me it was normal and nothing to worry about. I trusted her and went about things as normal. It didnt feel right to me that the nail was brown, so one week later I soaked off my acrylics and found that my nail was decaying and moldy. When I got the acrylics off, the whole chunk of the infected nail came with it. If she would have been truthful and told me that it was mold and I needed to remove the acrylics, I wouldve returned after my nail was healed... that is not the case. I wont be coming here again.

I love everyone that work here they are so nice and helpful and very talented. The atmosphere is so relaxing and calm. I usually get a gel color change which is quick because I never have too much extra.

Had a mani and pedi scheduled and only had me written down for mani. Mani I thought was great until I came home and my index finger gel polish just peeled right off. I waited an hour for my pedicure, get the basic with callus removal and the guy doesn’t even do anything but rub my feet with a scrub and paint my nails .. what was a $35 job he charged me $50 and my feet are still not done how they should’ve been. So disappointed and will not return to this place

Had a wonderful pedicure here. I was very impressed with their cleanliness. They really sanitized everything after our pedicures. They got us in with no wait. My leg massage was heavenly.

I decided to give this salon a try last Friday. The appearance of my finished nails was ok. 3 days later, they started breaking off. Not worth $46 for the bad quality and not to mention their poor service. Very disappointed and I will never return nor recommend this place to anyone!

OK, So I have been to a few salons in town and I wanted to try this place because yelp gave it extremely good review. When I arrived they were extremely friendly and the salon was clean. At first when she started doing my nails I told her that I loved them before because at first the shape looked like the shape that I wanted and then when she started to do the shellac the shellac came on extremely thick and when she was finished my nails they were somewhat nice And then when I further looked at my nails when I had left I was no longer liking how they looked. My nails were extremely clumpy and then I realized that the shape of my nails were not even and looked like I needed more assistance. I ended up going to another salon to see if they were able to reshape and re-polish my nails. Per the other salons review on how my nails looked she was shocked that I paid $51 for a full set. And I’ll have you know when I first arrived i asked how much a full set would be, she told me it would be $48 and then about 10 to 15 minutes later she told me it would be $50. She had changed her mind on the price twice and I didn’t realize what she had said until I was finished with my nails and went to check out. Fast forward to later in the evening I called back the salon that I originally went to too get a full set. I had spoke with the owner who had originally put the full set on me and asked if she could refund me about $20-$25 dollars. She said No because it would be unfair to her. I will never recommend anyone to this salon. I was not trying to be rude or disrespectful, I was just trying to be respected as a customer who had a BIG issue with her nails.

The woman who does my nails here is so nice and is amazing at what she does! I’ve been twice and gotten acrylics and then came back for a fill. I love the endless amount of colors to choose from and for my fill I opted for a bright blue. I originally came here because of good reviews and they were definitely right!

This is a wonderful place to have your nails done. I have been coming for several years and Yen does my manicures. Not only does she do good work, she is also a lovely person. She and her husband David (owners of the shop) are hardworking and diligent. They value their customers and always provide excellent service. There have been times when Yen is not available and another person does my manicures and pedicures. In all instances, I have been 100% pleased with the results. I really wish all businesses in Tucson were like Nails by Yen in terms of service, quality, and professionalism. Highly recommended

I’ve searched for years to find the perfect place to get my nails done. Nails By Yen was love at first sight. Everyone was so nice and sweet and listened to what I want. I wanted sharp stiletto nails, my nail tech gave me the perfect set, and told me how to prevent from breaking them. Nails by Yen is the best nail salon in Tucson. I have been a customer for over 2 years. David, Yen and all of the specialists will take care of you in a professional, courteous and caring way. Pedicure, manicure, shellac, brow, you name it, they are fairly priced for all. Walk-ins are welcomed but its best to make an appointment. I would disregard the couple of 1 star reviews and trust the 49 other 5 star reviews. I have never had an experience as they describe. Treat yourself today!

Yen is truly a nail artist. She put acrylic tips on my nails and I have never had nails that looked so beautiful, so natural. The salon atmosphere is friendly and cheerful. I will definitely be a permanent client and have recommended the salon to many friends.

So I am giving it a two because I got a great set of nails the first go, which I believe was done by David? Which are actually the set of black nails in their photos. But the fill was bad. My nails a not even. Very thick and very short. It’s like night and day. I really wish I could have gotten the same person I did last time.

I love Nails By Yen! Its a gorgeous inside, theyve really put so much thought and time into creating their salon. When you walk in there is no odor, no strong nail policy or acrylic smells. The staff is friendly and very professional. All the products such as nail polish and lotions are all brand names such as CND. They have thought of everything and its a great place! Ive started going every 2-3 weeks to get my gel manicures and their AMAZING pedicures. I love Nails By Yen and will be making this my monthly or even Bi-Monthly stop!!! Highly Recommend and 5 STARS!!! Please give them one chance and I guarantee you will be hooked!

Went for a manicure with my mom, both people that did our nails did everything so so fast and it came out perfect. They were both nice and friendly, and very helpful. Included a hand massage and prices are great, I think weve found our go-to place. We will be coming back for sure.

I first started coming to David and Yen when they owned a nail salon in Green Valley and lost touch when they re located to Oro Valley. All I can say is that I am so happy I found them again! I came in as a walk in but they were still able to see me right away. They are truly wonderful people and genuinely care, I will definitely keep getting my nails done here! The place is nice, clean and friendly. However, pedicure does not include callus removal therefore they only scrubbed a tiny bit and I left with my heels more rough then when I went in. It’s unfortunate that the lady didn’t even rub the heel to feel them to see if they still rough. When I told her I did not like the job she did, she said “thank you” she didn’t even understand English, very frustrating

I have had my nails done at this shop about three times. The first time I got my nails done, I got a full set put on and there was a little lifting and dirt got trapped in between the acrylic and my nails. I set an appointment to come back in two weeks, I mentioned on the phone that I wanted to soak the nails off and get a new set put on. When I arrived I was told to take a seat because my nail tech was finishing up another client. Once I got to the nail techs station I was told that there was not enough time to soak the nails off and that I need to remind them when I walked in that I wanted to soak my acrylics off. Long story short, I ended up with new acrylic over the dirt and old acrylic on my nails. At the next appointment I inspected my nails as they were being done to make sure that the acrylic was on the entire nail and was told Im not finished yet, and that looking at your nails in the middle of the service drives nail techs crazy. Also I like extremely square nails, I never left with the shape I wanted. I will not be going back. I had initially written a review after my first appointment (at the request of the nail tech) that was five stars but I dont believe that was an accurate description of my experience so I am revising. Having said all of that, the salon is in a nice area, and the techs are generally nice. You can pay with a card for an additional fee and tips are requested in cash...which was another inconvenience for me.

My first experience at Yens was AMAZING. Coco did a fantastic job. This place is cute, upbeat and busy ( which means customers are happy). Its the only place I will go. Everyone who walked in was helped immediately. They aim to please.

I had to review this awesome nail salon! I found it on Yelp and the ratings were tops. I called for an appointment and all my questions were answered. Wow! That was a new one for me. From the first time i walked into this beautiful salon I was welcomed with a smile and greeting. David does my nails and I cant help but to mention how many compliments I get on my nails daily. Ive been here twice and Im still not sure why this place has such high reviews. Its a little bit more expensive ($30 for pedi plus $1 to use a credit card) and both times it was about a 35 minute service. Polish looks good, but the massage was pretty short and the cuticle trimming on this last visit was too deep (painful). Probably better options....

This is my favorite mid day break! Less calories than lunch! Expert technicians, clean as a whistle and nice people! My toes and nails have never looked better or been more healthy. Not so grgre, first time visitor, last time customer. Made an appointment for a Mani pedi, was $30, didnt scrub or file my feet. Cut my nails, lotion and polish, thats it! I did ask but there was a communication issue apparently.Mani was $15, reasonable, but soaked in plain warm water, cut my cuticles without Cuticle softener or anything.If your busy good for you but if your customer suffers because of it, it may cut into your profits or as in this case your reputation.All this is really my own fault for not waiting until I could get back to my regular salon.

I have been going to Nails by Yen for about 18 months after spending more than 2 years searching Tucson area for a consistent outstanding quality nail salon at a great price with friendly, warm, and helpful people. That is this place. Yen does my gel manicures every other week and I get a monthly pedicure by numerous other of the women at the salon and always come away pleased. They treat people with respect and when I havent liked something (which wasnt often) they fixed it right away. True sometimes they are busy and the phone rings but isnt this a sign of a good business?? Give them a try, you will not be disappointed. I NEVER AM!

I come here every two weeks to get my nails done by Yen. She does an amazing job. Everyone greets you when you walk in. The stations are clean and the atmosphere is relaxing. I am so happy I found this nail salon!

Had an appointment but the guy wrapped my nails then left to do a pedicure. I was there 35 minutes with no help. There were only three men working and Im sure only the boss spoke English. The guy who was to finish my nails misunderstood I wanted no polish. He buffed my nails didnt do my cuticles and left me. Horrible experience!

Absolutely amazing place. So, I bite my nails. Every place I’ve gone to before has usually shamed me for this and hurt me either by grinding down too far or filing too close and cutting me (I always get a full set or refills). This place didn’t do any of those things. I got a full set and a pedicure and it was absolutely amazing. Just moved to the area and I can for sure say that I will be coming to this nail salons for as long as I’m here. Great people who do an amazing job. I’ve never had my nails look this good, and I’ve never felt more relaxed and recharged walking out of a nail salon.

The owners are very ambitious about their customer service. I do not recommend their dipping powder manicure. I have material under my nails, thick edges, strange shapes and it took far longer than other salons.

I called to ask about how much it costs to get a certain length the person who answered kept ignoring my question I need my nails done before school starts and I am trying to get them done tomorrow but I cant if their services arent fully towards the customer. I need to know if you guys charge more for length. If you can answer me tonight I will gladly go tomorrow and appreciate it.

David, the master manicurist and great guy, did my nails with his magic gel right before I went to live in a refugee camp for six weeks. He was confident that his work would last until I returned to Tucson. I expressed some doubt, so we bet a Whopper burger and he sent me off smiling. After working hard for weeks doing all kinds of labor, my nails endured. They did not break or chip or fade or flake. The were extra long, but intact. He wins the burger and I cant imagine anyone else doing a better job than Yen for Nails!

Finally, after 3 years of searching here in Tucson I found David at this friendly and clean shop. David is a true gem. Its so obvious that he values quality in his work. Hes very knowlegable about his profession. I have beautiful nails now that hold up perfectly between appointments. He is also very accommodating with scheduling appointments and is always on time.

I called and the man I talked to was very nice. When I arrived he got started right away. It was super clean, light music. They didnt pressure me to do more than what I came for which I loved. They took there time on my nails, double and triple checked what they did. I will be going back there again.

I have yet to have a bad experience here. The managers both do excellent work and are the only ones I have personally gone to, but the ladies that walk out of here after a service are always in a great mood. I lived central for awhile and went religiously for fills until I moved to the Northwest Side of town. I didnt get my nails done for almost 2 months before I was going to try somewhere new that was closer and just couldnt convince myself to risk it when I know the Nails by Yen salon actually listens to what you want. I will most likely never go anywhere else as long as this nail salon is around.

This place had good reviews so I decided to try it out. Davids wife did my gel french manicure and it is probably the worst and shoddiest manicure Ive ever gotten. My whole nails were not painted, one of them was kind of scuffed, two started bubbling before the end of the night and it has been 1 week and they all have bubbles. Ive used my hands sparingly to preserve what I could but this is the first time Ive ever had to do so.

They are very friendly here and do good work. I always get a gel mani and a pedicure and they look great! Only downside is theyre often out of matching colors for gel and polish. That makes coordinating my toes and hands a bit of a struggle when I have a color in mind and I have change up. Also, they accept tips in cash only.

I have never had a better set of nails put on anywhere in Arizona!! They did such an exceptional job, that I dragged my daughter there to have her get a set put on. While she was getting her nails done, I got the best pedicure I have received in my whole life. Thank you Amy!!! The prices, services, and employees are just truly amazeballs. My daughter and I will never go anywhere else from now on!!!

This is honestly the best nail salon Ive ever been to. Its sanitary, welcoming, professional and comfortable. On top of that, I received the best set of acrylic nails I have ever had. They are smooth, perfectly shaped and even. The man who did the set was very friendly and funny as well. If you have been looking for a salon in Tucson, youve found it. Even if you live in South Tucson or Marana, its worth the trip to come here, trust me.

This shop is outstanding! Visiting here in Tucson and needed a fill and pedicure badly! Was impressed by the 5-star status with so many reviews and they did not disappoint!!! Had no idea when I called and they booked me for 4:30 that day (Sat) that they were staying late for me!!! Yen did my nails and I havent had such a good job in like 20years. The girl who did my pedi did a good job too...if not 100% accurate on a color match. We have to come to Tucson every month or so, I WILL see Yen every time. Wish I could move her to Phoenix!

As a licensed cosmetologist I am very critical when getting my nails done. Nails by Yen is by far the best shop in town! Never had a nail lift, they take their time and pamper you when getting a pedi, everyone is so nice and best of all the shop is spotless and far exceeds state Board regulations on sanitation. Love love love Nails by Yen!

Apparently you must spend over $50 in order to get a good job done here. I work in the plaza and have sent many clients over. I wont be doing that again. After 25 minutes, a full set of acrylics were sloppily put on my niece. Wont be going back for any services.

Unfortunately the rudest staff I have ever encountered. I took my elderly mom who has dementia in for a pedicure. We had an appointment but no one would do her nails. They avoided her and kept seating walk ins. They made us wait 45 minutes before one of the technicians felt bad and acted as if she was doing me a favor and started doing my poor moms nails. There would have to be no other nail salon in the city of Tucson before I would ever go back....if ever. Shameful.

Absolutely looooved this place! Great prices for great work, the people are so nice too! Ive been going to different places having bad experiences and I finally found my nail salon💅🏽✨

It was my first time visiting this salon and it wont be my last. Ive been to MANY other salons all around tucson and have had horrible experiences else where, but here at Nails by Yen it was outstanding! David gave me a new full set (the one I had on was very uneven and ugly) and he made my new set flawless! All even in shape, length, and size. The bottom was completely smoothed out. He took his time and he was very sweet and gentle. You can tell he definitely cares about his customers and his work. I also had a pedicure by Thu I believe and she was very sweet and friendly and absolute a doll talking to! It is a little bit more pricey than what Ive paid at other salons, but the overall experience and outcome of my nails is SO worth it.Thank you Nails by Yen!

Wow, Ive had my nails done all over the country when I travel but I cant think of a time where my nails were given the attention to detail as they were at Nails by Yen. Outstanding job, easy to schedule and definitely worth it! Will definitely be back again when Im in town on business.

Had a fill by Yen last night. The best fill I have had in Tucson. She took her time and really cared what my nails looked like when I left. Yen actually listened to how I wanted my nails to be. Not a large shop. You dont feel like cattle be shuffled around.
