Not one to post nasty reviews but here we go. This is a charming location, but the management is very irresponsible. There is no clear protocol for day to day tasks. I was on a continuous reoccurring payment plan for a year and without notifying me this was stopped. I got an eviction notice on my door, and when I went to the office and asked why I had not been contacted before regarding this they had absolutely no answer. When I questioned their protocol, there was no answer. The girls at the front apologized for the lack of organization but were absolutely no help in finding a solution.I asked to speak to a manager, that didnt happen. They stacked up over 1000 in late fees when I had been a prompt resident for over a year with payments ALWAYS made on time until I was removed off the autopay WITHOUT MY ACKNOWLEDGMENT.I moved out one month ago, I wanted to speak to someone in-charge I was given a number to call. Still havent heard back. Save yourself the headache.

We have absolutely loved living here! The matinence staff are so friendly and come to help very quickly. I know them by name and love seeing them around. The front desk associates are so nice and helpful. The amenities are amazing!! The dog park and the pools have been amazing for our family and the gym is huge and clean. The theater is SO COOL, but a little hard to learn how to use. I suggest asking a front desk associate show you how to use it. The apartments are spacious and new and we just love it.

Nice floor plan, but watch out for cheap flooring, appliances, etc. Also watch out for sneaky charges at move out... theyre listing on the online portal that theyre double charging me last month rent, and nickel and diming move out charges. They took money out of my security deposit and when I called it took them a few tries to come up with a fee I hadnt already paid (including the fact that they supposedly paint the apartments with each new tenant but I was charged a painting fee for normal wear and tear marks on the wall)

I feel cheated that we are paying full rent and have not had access to any of our amenities since the beginning of covid. While all of the gyms and restaurants opened back up throughout Tucson, the remained closed for several months.Even to this day we cant use a lot of the amenities. I feel that we should have our rent reduced as that is the whole reason we are living in these types of luxury apartments vs renting a home. THE AMENITIES.I tried to leave a comment to our community portal to express how I feel and if any one else felt the same and they denied my comment. (See attachment) There was nothing wrong with my comment. They just didnt want me to communicate with others about how they may be taking advantage of the situation.Think about it, the entire Tucson area was open for business, gyms, restaurants, etc. Yet my apartment thought they knew better than the whole city and remained closed. We overpaid this year for a two bedroom because the lack of amenities. $1400 a month. Could have been living in a home.

I just renewed for the fourth time, so that should tell you almost everything you need to know. First moved into a 2BR XL when there were only three or four buildings up, and now in a 1BR. Encantada offers the best value for your money out of any apartments in Tucson, hands down - great apartments (the layouts are actually logical and properly-sized), well-equipped gym, awesome pool, and a fantastic staff to support it all. Absolutely no complaints - Ive loved my time living here and would strongly recommend it to anyone. (Im particularly fond of the sunset views off my patio - makes an evening drink that much better.)

The only good thing I can say about these apartments is that they are an “eye candy”. Grounds are nice and the granite countertop is nice but I’m so glad that I finally moved out! The management there is horrible (especially Britney, the assistant community director) . They treat you like you don’t know what you’re talking about when bringing up an issue to them. For being “luxury” apartments, I can tell you they use the cheapest materials. Nothing ever works properly, and it takes forever to get fixed. They are very quick to charge you fees and nickel and dime you for as much as they can! They expect you to be on top of their notices but they don’t prioritize resident concerns. I was charged for a toilet that I asked to be fixed as it was clogged, they also charged us a pet fee for having a friend come over with her dogs, our washer didn’t properly work for an entire year as it would turn off in the middle of the washing cycles (we managed, somehow!). Their pool is always freezing even though they advertise as a resort class heated pool. Their grills were unusable for over half a year, and the entrance gate was broken for a couple of months when I lived there. They offer a community clubhouse in which they expect you to pickup after other residents and if you don’t they charge you a cleaning fee. What a joke! If someone at the property reads this please don’t respond with a generic response to give you a call to discuss this. Because if you didn’t take care of us as residents when we were then I don’t expect you to care for us at all now that we don’t live there anymore.

These apartments are TRASH. The pools and BBQ grills are frequently broken or closed off. Management has been absolutely terrible and disrespectful. They left mold in the apartment for 5 weeks and claimed they could not get to it sooner. When you are paying 1900 for a 2 bedroom, I would expect a well maintained apartment complex. Front office management refuses to give residents upper management contact info. Stay away.

My husband and I actually leased our Loft at Encantada Tucson National based solely on online research and the professional attitude of the leasing staff we dealt with by phone from our home in Orlando, FL! We are pleased to report that our expectations have been exceeded in every way! Dana, Emily, Kelsey and the entire staff are great! (Even moved delivered boxes of patio furniture into our garage while we were out of town!) The Loft is comfortable, well appointed, and very quiet with inspiring mountain views from the balcony. The complex is architecturally appealing and the grounds immaculate! The area is perfect for outdoor and indoor activities! Terrific fitness center and pool! The pictures on the website are nice, but the reality is much nicer!

Who wrote these reviews current staff? The management have no ethics or moral compass. Current residents are running out of here. Staff will smile through their teeth and lie in order to get you to sign the lease, but once you do they will nickle and dime you to death. The amenities are great but similar and in some cases much nicer ones are available elsewhere. The apartments are BLAH Nice granite counter tops but everything else is cheap bottom of the line. the Dark laminate floors look nice until you have to try to keep them clean they show all dust and lint. The appliances are bottom of the line and break often, the cabinets look nice but are really cheep and also show everything. Th faucets are very cheap and pitted. Ceiling fans are modern but make too much noise to actually use. Apartments are very noisy. The rents start off higher than comparable in Tuscon but after one year they will skyrocket for renewals. They will steal your refundable deposit as they figure most people will not fight and sew them for a few hundred dollars. Not a nice environment overpriced and unscrupulous management Run dont walk away from this one.

This is the most beautiful, well maintained and peaceful complex! It has the true feel of resort versus apartment complex due to the amenities. The views of the city and mountains are amazing on this property! The front office staff has been nothing but professional, friendly, helpful and caring since I moved here in November. The maintenance issues that have come about in my unit have been taken care of in a reasonable amount of time. I also like that they are strict about enforcing things here as it keeps the environment peaceful and safe. I can not understand any of the one-star reviews. It can only be coming from disgruntled tenants who broke rules in my opinion. I truly love it here and I am sad that I have to move on in a few months.

The people in the office have been wonderful. Always happy and ready to take care of us. Our apartment is perfect for us with a beautiful view of the Catalina mountains from our patio. But what really sets it apart are the people. The staff is outstanding and extremely helpful. They go out of their way to organize community events that encourage the residents to connect with one another. Having moved from out of state, these events have been really nice to meet folks. Shady practices all around. Half way through my lease they changed it so that renters pay the majority of the common electricity (not in the original agreement). Then when it came time to renew apartments, I looked at units exactly like the one we own were over 200$ cheaper (and there were 4 to 5). Unless you pay a transfer fee and move across the street, the new year rate is non-negotiable. Their response to this was but we kept your rate the same as if you should be happy about this. But you can bet if the market was going up they wouldnt be keeping the prices the same.Edit -- Well it was already 1 start and now I wish I could make it 0. On moveout they charged both a pet treatment then also charged for a full carpet replace. They offer no evidence, no pictures, and there was never ANY pets allowed in the carpeted bedrooms. They say they hire a third party. They also have no evidence that this wasnt there before and just claim they use blacklights. So lets wrap this all up --1. They will change your lease with addendums half way through with more changes2. Even if the market completely crashes they will NEVER work with you on your price3. On moveout they will lie about damages to keep your deposit and charge extra.Best of luck

I have lived here from 2016 to the presently reside here. When I moved in, they didnt have any ceiling fans or lights in any of the rooms as promised. We still moved in because the staff said they would be in soon. 6 months later we finally got them, but only after I inquired about them every week as summer was approaching! Ceiling fans make too much noise to actually use when youre trying to think or sleep. The regular staff is pleasant! Management is NOT! Lisa, the property Director of this location is a terrible person, who will smile and lie through their teeth, but wont act on anything that will make your life better. Recently, maintenance came in, while I was out of the apartment, to replace the patio screen door which wasnt working well and they broke a statue pedestal on the patio. The maintenance guy tried to clear his tracks by cleaning up the mess, but left their red broom, a pile of dirt (from a fallen pot), patio chair out of place, and screen door poorly installed. Pictures shown below. Lisa tried to tell me that the pedestal fell over in a storm and somehow became upright again. And the broom was used to clear the door tracks! The neatly swept pile of dirt on the ground was unexplainable. My wife and I sit outside in the patio every morning for breakfast...we noticed right away things were out of place!Lisa verbally said she would replace the cost of the broken item, but after sending her multiple emails...nothing but crickets. She doesnt care about maintaining healthy relationships with current tenants. No wonder people are leaving in droves. Oh, and you wont be getting your refundable security deposit back. I personally know 6 tenants who have moved out and have not received their security deposit back.

I moved into a two bedroom apartment. They had cleaned the carpets but it had pet stains all over the floor and after about two weeks the carpet had about ten stains. I called two different times to have them clean the stains and they said they couldn’t do anything about it. When I moved out they charged me for the carpet. I never owned a dog. They also charged me 250 dollars for cleaning the apartment after I moved out and said that the stove top was dirty. The stove was one they replaced with an old stove because the one I had when I moved in didn’t work..So the apartment obviously does this to everyone. So don’t count on getting your security deposit back. They also tried to raise the rent 800 dollars a month to renew my lease after 6 months. Beware of this place they are ripping people off. I never complain about places on the internet but this was just a rip off. Shame on you encantada

Over 2 years ago I took a risk and moved to this complex before ever visiting Tucson (a lot of that had to do with Kayla who guided me from afar). It was such a gamble that has paid off tremendously. I love living here. The pool is stunning, the patios are huge, the views are top notch, and there’s a dog park!! It’s still apartment living, and ups and downs will come with that, but nothing that is worth taking a star away for. When I told the office all they had to say was Were not responsible for the door..... They didnt even ask if she was okay. Sure Ill pay for the door guys. Thanks for your concern. We have been renting since March. The 2bd xl is gorgeous and spacious and the dog ranch sold us because of the separation of dogs and obstacle corse. However, the application took forever to process and complete. Maintenance takes months to fix something correctly. It took 3-5 months for them to properly fix our leaking fire sprinkler that was on the sealing dripping into our kitchen and its not the prettiest fix and our fridge was constantly leaking water on the top shelf and spoiling all of our food may times. They continually were coming out to prefix the same issues over and over and finally the got real companys to come out at professionally fix both problems. It should not have taken that long. There is also a huge cricket and roach problem at night throughout the entire property which is why I have stopped going to the hot tub because I had a roach crawling up my arm. Theres also many ants along the pool as well. Land scrapping is lacking and many of the plants have died and are wilted. There are spaces that used to have plants but are now just empty rock areas. Equipment at the dog ranch is broken and un maintained trees in there. Our main security gate is currently broken and has been for about a month and there have been heavy car break ins. This is all unacceptable and we pay a lot for luxury and this place sucks . The residents are great but this place needs some work. The free star bucks machine is great but I work nights so barely able to use it. The gym is beautiful and is 24hrs but the pools close at 10. It would be great if we could have a 24 hr pool as well because I would love to be in the hot tub after work but noooo its closed at 10. Smh. Its seems like a great place but I feel ripped off for all we pay for it. Its not worth 1500 or more for some residents it should be more like 1000.

I recently relocated after living here for two years. This is probably the nicest property in Tucson and certainly the nicest property Ive ever lived in or even toured. There are several reasons I enjoyed living here, four of those reasons are the staff, the apartments themselves, the amenities, and the propertys location. These were all key factors in my decision to move to this property and why I enjoyed living here so much. The staff are very helpful and go out of their way to provide service that is far above and beyond the standard. I first toured the property with Kayla while I was in-town interviewing for a job. I ended up receiving and accepting the job offer but at the time I lived 2000 miles away. Kayla helped me immensely and spent a lot of time sending me photos and talking with me on the phone so that I could choose the perfect unit for my needs. She was very patient and kind throughout the entire process. At the time she was an assistant property manager and she has now been promoted to property manager due to her professionalism and dedication. There have been several changes in staffing since I moved in to that complex but everyone that has worked there was always super kind and helpful. Emily, Kelsey, Dana, and the entire office and maintenance staff were all super helpful and demonstrated the utmost professionalism and dedication to their work. The apartments are all very nice open concept floor plans. I chose the 2/2 medium and I absolutely loved it. The huge dining/living room area are very nice and overlook the largest apartment balcony I have ever seen. The large balcony made it feel like less of an apartment and more like a house. The walls must be insulated very well because I never heard any noise from my neighbors, even though some had little kids. The glass windows and doors are very thick so they provide good sound proofing and are good insulators too. The buildings are only two stories tall so you only have to climb one flight of stairs to live on the top floor. The buildings are spread out pretty far so that the community feels less dense. The amenities are absolutely amazing and the community is lacking nothing in this area. The two pools and hot tubs are gorgeous. I especially like the chaise lounge chairs that are half submerged in the pool. The ability to reserve the clubhouse kitchen and theater for free are a major plus when you want to have friends over. Most communities charge for this service but Encantada at Tucson National does not. There are really nice high quality towels available in the gym and beach towels for the pool. Cannondale hybrid bikes are available to borrow which is nice if you have friends over for a bike ride. They have community events like Super Bowl parties, pumpkin carving parties, food trucks, etc.The location is a good mix of convenience, security, and tranquility. The community is close to one of The Loops bike trails. It is also close to I-10 and now that the Ina exit is open, it makes it much easier to get around Tucson. It is located near a nice neighborhood and I always felt safe and secure. Depending on the unit you chose, there are views of the mountains all around. As they say in real estate...location, location, location! In summary I highly recommend this community if you are looking to rent an apartment in Tucson!

Lived here between August 2016 and May 2018. 2 stars since the property is quite nice and gated but the management cannot be criticized enough. Anticipate well thats not our policy, thats corporate policy, or some variation when you attempt to negotiate anything. Anticipate baffling pricing to drive out current tenants for the sake of new ones because apparently they rather spend money on cleaning apartments and vacancies than simply maintaining healthy relationships with existing ones.Theyll cost you more than anywhere else in the area by at least a couple hundred, yet when your lease is up, anticipate anywhere from a $25 to $100 jump per month because you have a mountain view or you live close to the club house while they struggle to fill vacancies and offer brand new leases hundreds of dollars less than their ideal price point. If I had lived in my same apartment, 2br medium, it would have been $1441 per month from the original $1390, but if I was willing to move out to a 2br large, it would have dropped to $1287 per month against the original $1449 per month of a 2br large when I first moved in.When I moved out, even though I had paid a pet deposit and kept the apartment in good shape, they decided to withhold half of my deposit because of pet odors even though nothing was mentioned during the final walk through. If you have the pleasure of living here, anticipate plenty of turnover as most tenants seem to stay no longer than a year to two. Its these types of managerial decisions (or headaches) youll see consistently that drives that high turnover.

Only thing is we will have to move our furniture completely out of the living and dining room area and be out of the apartment for 3 days. We lived at Encantada Tucson National in a brand new apartment and had constant problems in the apartment. New washing machine broke constantly, so I was without a washing machine a good portion of the time. Shower door was broken for a month before it was somewhat fixed, smoke alarm in the bedroom broke, took about 3 weeks to get it replaced, both patios and patio closet floors had to be redone, because they were done so badly the first time. Electrical outlet in the bathroom stopped working the week before we moved out and minor other things broke in the apartment as well. I asked the manger Lisa to take money off my rent, because there were so many problems with the apartment and she said NO. I then sent a certified letter to the 3 people in charge at HSL corporate office, HSL owns Encantada Tucson National, with all my complaints and asked them to contact me. They received my letter, but chose to never respond to my letter, they just ignored me. They are all about getting you to sign a lease then they forget about you. The beautiful amenities also broke, pool heater, hot tub heater, took 2 weeks to get them fixed, coffee machine, movie theater etc. This was the worst place we have ever lived, glad to be out of there.

In this email I told her there were no hard feelings, I was sorry it did not work .. and told her I already had a new place since September 14th way before I was even evicted .. she seems mad that I did not fail and or on moved on since September 14th ... that I moved willingly ... I actually thanked her for letting me out of the lease .. as I have to return to Boston for treatment for several months ... that I have an appointment with my oncologist .. I told her I would not even be in the state or ever back on the property .. I gave her what she wanted and she still seemed to want to ruin me, my roommate and my boyfriend .. I hope she finds peace as I have .. this has been one of the worst human exchanges in my life ... but Im on to focusing in on my family and friends that love me .. as I did and have way before she tried to evict me .. and she knew it and tried to threaten me and harass me, my roommate, and my boyfriend .....during this difficult time ..

Note all the good reviews are from more than a year ago.I am revising my review after being super frustrated with management policies and the lack of maintenance of the amenities. I have been reporting both verbally and formally (work order) things that dont work for half the time Ive lived here (lived here 1 year, things that are still broke for 6 months). These are things that I used all the time and would be using. Things are also not kept nearly as clean as they used to be. My advice would be to go somewhere else that either is brand new and things work and they are still motivated to get up their occupancy rate. Now my decision about whether or not to renew my lease has been made easier and I am much more sympathetic to the motivations for the other residents that lived here before they filled up and have moved on because of rent HIKES etc (pay more and get less = no brainer). If you are reasonable with the management do not expect that they will be reasonable with you. I always pay my rent early and this time, I got mixed up on the holiday weekend and being out of town as to what day I would find them open but didnt worry about it because I had thought that I could either 1) pay online (cant do that without a code from mgmt.) or 2) drop my check in their dropbox (they eliminated the dropbox without notification or 3) show up first thing this am with my check (nope - pay a 50 dollar fine and have to get a money order). Also, I agree with the review by A Shah and not the one by Richard (pools/spas looking clean is an easy deception and some of us KNOW better).

I am disappointed by the management of this property. I stay in one of building and complained, since the beginning of summer season I hear my neighbors air conditioner. That particular air conditioner sounds like an air plane engine and especially more audible in my bedroom. Air conditioner is on auto mode so its off and on and wakes me up at night. The management have failed to follow up with me and they have done nothing about it. Why not to put air conditioner in the lobby so people know what will they experience in their rooms.

I worked with Kayla at the Tucson national location and she is awesome. After I move in and live there I will likely update to five stars. My experience so far was fantastic, professional, never felt pushed or rushed and I actually enjoyed it. The place itself is amazing. I looked at about 9 places in person and probably 20 online. I believe this may be the most upscale place in Tucson other than buying a luxury town home or house which dont have amenities other than a pool. And often unheated pools which other than summer you may as well forget you have.Important to note Encatada at Tuscon National is very different than the one on N. oracle which was my least favorite out of 9 choices I had. I was actually about to give up not wanting to compromise when I went and met with Kayla. She professionally convinced me to come see the place and Im so glad I did. The units feel like homes notapartments. Nice open feel. Tall doors and ceilings and just really nice detail. I came from a 2800 sq ft custom home and I think I can be very happy here and Ill let you know. Also the gym is magnificent. Best one ever at any development. Its like a private health club. The movie theatre is beautiful. Tazo tea and Starbucks coffee and hot chocolate free all day at the clubhouse and last but certainly not least are the canondale hybrid bikes you can sign out and use for free. Who wouldnt want to live here. Priced higher than most apartments in Tucson because they are worth it. The square footages are much larger. I rented a large two bedroom for 1500. It is 1450 sq. ft. Its hard to even get that footage anywhere. Oh and the floors are beautiful and the balconies are huge. Im excited to get there. I also rented a garage for my car because of the hot summers. Im sure there is more to say for another time.

Encantada Tucson National came through for us again! Lars from the maintenance staff did a very professional job of installing out curved shower curtain rod! No charge! Wouldn’t take a “tip”!!
