This was my favorite place I’ve ever gone to get my nails done. I was a walk in and they took me immediately, which isn’t always the case I’m sure, but it was great! I showed a reference picture and the man popped off! He had multiple books of stickers and let me choose the exact stickers I wanted and where I wanted to put them. These nails held up so well, not a single broken nail and they lasted for over 3 weeks and looked great! Didn’t damage my nails at all when I got them off. It was the least painful to get them done, he was very gentle and they still came out absolutely perfect. No crooked or thick nails. Just absolutely happy with the service I received. Highly recommend the dip!

I’m not one to leave bad reviews, but if I could give less than 1 star I would. I walked in today for a manicure after work and signed in. They let me sit there for 20 minutes before letting me know they couldn’t do a service on me because they were booked for a wedding party. I get that, but you saw me walk through the door and sign in and let me sit there for 20 minutes when I could have gone somewhere else. This is my 2nd bad experience with them and I won’t be trying again. You don’t let customers sit there that long knowing you aren’t going to do a service on them.

I have had my nails done twice now by Kevin. First a full set and then came back for a fill-in and color change. I’ve loved them both times! Kevin is awesome and does an amazing job! Helped me with ideas and color choices. Makes me laugh and feel completely comfortable. Friendly and Relaxing atmosphere. 100% recommended!

I got my nails done here over a week ago and they are still every bit as beautiful as the day they were done! Vivian gave me a perfect manicure, was very meticulous and professional, and was fun to talk to! Im looking forward to going back :)

I’ve been going here for awhile and I’ve been pretty happy with them. Kevin did my nails for the first time my last visit and he is absolutely amazing!! He takes his time and my nails were perfect and I’m kinda picky. I completely changed my mind with what I wanted to go with and he was so nice and helped me figure out exactly what I wanted. He is the best! I highly recommend making an appointment with Kevin!

This is the best nail salon in Troy! Friendly, fun atmosphere. I love Kevin who does amazing ombré nails. Vivian is the sweetest who does my pedicure or Maya & Sam too. I never leave disappointed! What can I say, I love them all ❤️

I love A1 nails in Troy, they are always fantastic. I havent had my nails done since before Covid and they just did an awesome job Simon I believe was my nail artist he did great was so nice, they are taking very good precautions during covid including handwashing and temp checks. Always leave happy thank u to all staff at A1 Troy.

Me and my daughter went there for the first time and loved it they did a good job and felt safe during these covid times, they make you wash hands first thing. Better than another place I went to where gel nails didnt last

Nice people Very nice people But if you want to get your moneys worth for nails then this is not the place absolutely not my nails are chunky and theyre gross and theyre crooked and theyre not filled correctlyAnd she use a dirty brush on my fingers. Asked for coffin did not get it OH and dont ask fir anything special bc they wont absolutly horrid on what is on my fingers.

I always go to kevin because he always does great! The entire time we are talking and laughing but he also always does a fantastic job with my nails!!

There are some pretty bad reviews on here but I gave it a shot anyway and I dont regret it at all. I have never had such an amazing experience at a nail salon. They gave us complementary waters, My nail tech was Maya and she did such a great job helping me pick what nails I wanted and they turned out better than I expected. She kept the conversation going throughout the whole 1.5 hrs, she was very friendly and was all about making my experience comfortable and satisfying. Best nails ive ever had!

Even with a short wait, they were able to get three of us in to get powder gel nails. They only have two techs trained to do powder, so we had to take turns, but overall a pleasant experience. Even for it being Christmas Eve, (which they provided gift bags with two bottles of lotion for each of us) they were prompt and precise with their service. My nails look great!

Had a gel polish 11/14/2020. My appt. prescheduled earlier that day and they were right on time. The salon takes every Covid precaution. My tech was very meticulous and did a perfect job esp around the cuticles which can sometimes leave a ridge as the nail grows out. He was also very patient with me as I have nerve damage in 1 hand and have difficulty positioning my thumb. I will be back!

I’m just saying you get what you pay for! Everyone is always so friendly! And they do an amazing job!! If you don’t want to wait they do appointments! I’ve been going here for my nails for about 2 years! I get the Solar powder and they last a long time. Yes they are a little more expensive but they last a little longer i feel. Just got them done the other day and not one issue, I always love what they do!

I went to get a Christmas nail done.. Sam did a wonderful job! Very friendly atmosphere. I really enjoyed m y visit. I will go back. Sometimes when you go to nail salons, if you ask for something decrotive, they act like you are putting them out. But Sam did not make me feel that way at all. She did wonderful.

Awesome nail salon. Call and they will close the salon early if you have a large party. We did this for a bridal party and brought wine and snacks. My dip manicure lasted well over a month!

Ive been to several local places, will never go anywhere else but here again. Friendly, fabulous work on my nails, I always get asked where I get them done. I seen on a previous post about children being in the salon, I could personally care less provided I get good service. The children are well behaved. I have been a regular here for years. I get nothing but compliments on my nails and am regularly asked where I get them done! Kevin is my regular nail tech, but the other employees all know and greet me by name too. A welcoming and family friendly environment.

Maya gave me a great manicure, specific to my requests... Helped me make my man hands more glamorous, they have a huge array of gel and dip colors and even a gel line that changes color with temperature. Conversation was lively and comfortable. You didnt feel like they were talking about you when you couldnt understand them.... Maybe they were though lol. Very pleasant and informative.

I only had to wait 1 time. It was no problem either. They are quick and do a great job!!!

I loved this place when I began getting my nails and toes done here. They were friendly, laid back, and listened to the customer’s wants overall. The last two visits have been less than an enjoyable experience though. Both times, I was treated like a bother, which I can even handle, as everyone has a bad day. I tried not to take it personal. What I cannot, and will not handle, is paying for poor service. My nails were peeling (they advertise gel polish for $10 more, as it’s not supposed to chip/peel) less than 24 hours out, and the acrylic chipping away in the corners. I didn’t even say anything the first time, because once again....everyone has a bad day. It happens. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. I returned this last time a few weeks after. My boyfriend wanted to be thoughtful and surprise me with a nail appointment....being a guy, of course he accidentally told them the incorrect service. He tried. If it was a problem when I got there, cool, I can reschedule or wait longer. I totally understand and don’t mind at all. Wouldn’t have bothered me in the least. They chose to service me that day. I felt unwanted again. I was minimally spoken to, it was tense when they did, they rushed through, and then sent me to wait for someone else to paint my nails. When I finally got my nails painted and finished up, he paid, we left. Less than 24 hours later, AGAIN, my nails were peeling off, but in complete layers this time. (I have photos to prove) Not little chips or flakes like previously. The acrylic was also coming off, as it was put on so thin it was nearly bare in some spots. He called to inform them of what was going on, and it was basically phone tag back and forth for a few days. They were ‘going to have someone call him back.’ It never happened. He called again today. He was then informed that it was basic wear and tear, I could come in, but they didn’t guarantee anything would be covered. I wish them the best, even if they choose to attack and slander me as they have the others giving negative reviews on this page. I just choose to take my business elsewhere at this time. No hard feelings.

I’ve been to this nail salon twice now and my first experience was great so I took my two nieces there and they didn’t clarify that my 9 year old nieces holographic nail polish was going to be $3 extra per nail (adding $30 to the bill) and they switched my nail polish and my 13 year old nieces nail polish without asking us so it wasn’t the color we wanted. The people were friendly and kind but not sure I want to go back again.

Buyer beware. If your new acrylic nails start to break off after two days you better get back there immediately so they can see whos fault it is. If you dont, the best they can do is a redo at customers cost of 50%. It doesnt matter if you live 30 minutes away and have busy schedules. No refund. No free redo. Poor workmanship and terrible customer service.In response to the owner, the nail service was not done for me, but my daughter. At 15, She works hard for her money that she used to pay for nails at your salon. You would not even hear us out entirely. You cannot expect a teenage girl to keep the remaining ones on, the 2 that didnt fall off for a week until we could get back to Troy. She called at least twice to try to show good faith. In addition, the goal of having artificial nails is to accent beauty for the customer. The goal of the nail technician is to make sure proper techniques are used so they dont break off. Im insulted for anyone to think that she or I would use the gas money to travel back to Troy get a freebie. No freebie there. We came back to the area only to remedy the situation. Everything in life is not all black and white. There are some cases that have extenuating circumstances. Also, she happens to be babysitting this evening so no need for to have fancy nails for that. By the owner holding his staff accountable for poor service, my daughter essentially flushed $39.00 down the toilet. Lesson learned. Again buyer beware.

Online, it shows they are open until 7:30. When I went in at 6:45 they had locked the doors because they actually close at 7:00. Service may be good but I didnt the chance to check it out.

Terrible work. Just wanted med-long length w/ green polish. Every single nail she put on was Crooked... I had 30min before I had to be to work & they still needed to dry. Paid $40 after A TIP and never got them fixed. WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK

A friend brought me here to get artificial nails and pedicure. She spent over $200 and our nails don’t look great, both of my hands are different lengths and some edges are crooked. They recommended gel powder nails over acrylic and they were the most expensive and the price they charged was more than the price listed in their brochure! We didn’t get half of the services promised in either mani pedi!! Will never go back

Can’t even describe how much i enjoyed my experience!! i was only in town for the weekend and needed to get my nails done for my sweet 16 and they are so amazing!! it’s such a friendly and welcoming environment, and i’ve never been happier with my acrylics. the guy took his time perfecting them😍 if i could give 6 stars i so would. & also got talking with another girl getting her nails done & im so mad i didn’t get her snapchat or anything so my girl who the youngest in your fam & goes to a country school & ur dads crazy gf punched a whole in your brand new wall, if you see this HMUUUUU

Beware! Visited approximately 4 mos ago. Requested gel mani pedi on natural nails. Sat down and the girl pulled out clips from her desk drawer to soak off my polish. She then started doing her OWN nails and watching TV. After about 5 mins, she pulled off the clips and threw them right back into her desk drawer. Gross. When I questioned her as to why she didnt apply the bonding agent (bc my nails would peel in 3 days), she got huffy and said that was why she wiped my nails with alcohol. Mmmkay. When mani was done she told me shed check me out. I told her (again) I wanted a pedi also, to which she sneered, I wish you woulda told me that, I coulda had you already soakin. Cue worst pedi ever. At check out I asked her for her name and she said not to worry about it bc, wait for it, she. Didnt. Even. Work. There. She said only filled in there when the place got busy. None of you all need to be Nancy Drew to know my polish peeled off in 3 days. Never again.

The man who did my spa pedi has a perpetual look of anger on his face. I told him he was hurting me as he cut and dug into my big toe. Then I told him to stop because he was hurting me. I wanted to ask for someone else but they were all busy. He used the grater and pumice stone so harshly. I asked to use their restroom and the back area was filthy. Then I noticed how filthy everything is. I will never return.
