I have been going here for years, do they get busy and have a wait - yes. but that is the beauty of appointments. The staff is awesome and my nail tech is on point. I have never not loved my nails!

In my opinion they charge entirely too much for the quality of work you recieve. I recently returned to the Troy area after 8 years of living in a different state. My hubby wanted to treat me for my birthday as I am also preparing for the birth of our little one. I instantly thought of this place for my pampering because Id use them prior to our move many times. The nail tech assigned to me was less than thorough. I received a full set a Pedi and both look poorly done. Many of my nails look as if I need a fill-in and its only day two. The polish job on both my hands and feet look poorly done as well, and my nails are super chunky. When I voiced my complaints my nail tech did nothing. Their prices are way too high for such poor quality of work. Again, this was my experience with one nail tech, but I wont give them a chance to disappoint again.

Love this Nail Salon!! My favorite place to get my nails done! Highly recommend them and all tools come from a sterile packet. Prices are great too🙌🏻

I felt rushed. I inquired about why I didnt receive the scrub with my pedicure...owner told me it was extra.. ok but it wasnt offered to me? So it was $32 for a bad pedicure...not thorough at all. I will not be back. **Update**Two days later my polished toes chipped AND my acrylic nails that I had filled chipped!

I got powder dip nails done here for $50. Its not worth it. 3-4 coating were done but the nails lasted less than 15 days. It kept chipping off and became brittle quickly, started breaking off too early. I got the same done at meijers previously. It lasted longer and much better even with single coating and $30.

I loved my experience here 100%. Jane did my manicure so quickly and well...she was clearly experienced and made conversation so well with a sweet and genuine smile! She was simply awesome!! I also found out that this place is open on Sundays unlike most other nail Salons so I think I will for sure become a familiar face here very soon!

None of us asked which pedicure we want .... when we asked they are laughing at on our face .... and saying we can’t do it and they don’t ask . No proper response and no proper communication. Waste of time and money

Ive been a customer for just over a year and have worked with several techs. My current, and favorite, is Dat. He does great work! I usually get a standard pedicure and shellac manicure. The salon is always clean and everyone is extremely friendly and professional. Ive referred several friends and theyve also become regular clients.

Best nail salon in Metro Detroit! All technicians do a phenomenal job- great painting And shaping! They are also meticulously clean - you can see them get the tools out of autoclave and they use individual wrappers when you get a pedicure so zero chance of getting anything! The staff is great!!! Highest recommendation!

I have been coming to this nail salon for many years now and everyone is always friendly and wonderful to deal with. The owner Vicki is always making sure that her customers are happy and that they had a great experience with their nail services. Dat is one of the BEST nail techs there!!! Andrew who works the front desk is VERY professional and always goes out of his way to help me with appointments. Highly recommend this nail salon! Always very clean and they take their business very serious!

Little pricey, but I didnt leave the salon and have to fix or clean up something on my nails like with most salons. Very clean. Pleasant. Vicki took her time and was thorough. 💜

I get my nails done by Anthony. He does a great job, but most of the staff (especially the female staff) is rude. Ive sat there for over an hour and theyve acted like I was invisible. If you dont make an appointment they can be rude. If youre getting a simple service and not spending a lot of money they can be rude. Im giving it 3 stars because of Anthony. If it was solely based on staff and customer service it would be much lower.

This is my go-to nail salon. It is always extremely busy so I would recommend making an appointment. The prices are about average. Its like $67 for a shellac mani and regular pedi. Most of the employees are nice and they have a nice selection of nail colors. I gave it 4 stars because the service and quality isnt always 5 stars.

I have been going to new day nails & spa for over a year now. I have never been disappointed or rejected when I want to go in the same day. They are great people, clean place. The owner is super sweet and so talkative which I love that . The main person in the front (Andrew) he is super nice and welcoming. My nail tech ( Anthony) I don’t think I have ever had a nail tech like him. My nails have never been perfect in the past but with him it’s always on point.

Massage chairs are awesome! Mani/pedis vary on who does the job. Overall, I’m satisfied with services. My only complaint is during the gel manicure, too much of my nail bed is filed off. It hurts and now my nails are thin. I explained to the nail tech that the filing is too much, hopefully next time they won’t file at all, only buff. $30 for gel manicure.

Expected better! Midway through my manicure they switched people so the woman who started it was not who finished it. My thumb has tiny holes in the polish. Middle finger on right hand was not filed down evenly. The light above nail dryer is covered in cob webs. I dont think its been cleaned in a very long time. Im a bit disappointed- would not go back when there are so many other nail salons around town. Not worth $15

So I dropped my car off at the Toyota dealership and I had my two children with. I had an hour or two to spare and this nail place was .1mile away from the dealer ship. So as I was walking towards it which was like a block away I called to ask how much a gel manicure and gel pedicure would cost. I also asked if they were busy and as to take in a walk in. Lets just say the cost was 15$ more than what the man in the front said right before I opened the door. I wanted to give 3 stars because of the amount of patience the nail technician gave us but that was shady. A gel manicure already cost 60$???? yeah right.

Had a manicure, paid $45 plus a $10 tip. When I attempted to schedule my next appointment, Amy (the manicurist I had just handed $55 in cash to) proceeded to insult and embarrass me when she refused to schedule my next appointment when I requested (I had been a long time customer, spending $100/month there and had sent so many new clients her way).Following this incident, I called twice requesting a call from the owner, Vickie, which never came. Therefore, my husband went back to the salon to speak to the owner and to get our money back. The owner (who wasnt even at the salon the day this occurred) proceeded to tell my husband I over reacted and that I was a LIAR!The details are below in my letter to the owner.Dear Vickie,Im sorry I canceled my 4:30 pedicure at noon; 4.5 hours prior to the appointment. I work full time and have three children at home; sometimes things dont go as planned. With it being a walk-in salon, I thought 6 hour notice was courteous enough and better than telling you when I arrived for my manicure. If Amy had any concerns with it, she had a whole hour to discuss it with me while doing my nails, but she didnt. Instead, she waited to tell me at the front desk, in front of other guests and other employees, directly after I paid her. SO UNPROFESSIONAL.I heard what you said and how you treated my husband today. Let me clarify something for you; there was no miscommunication. I was shocked by the treatment I received from Amy - so much so, that I literally told her I was insulted. If insulting me was not what she intended to do, that would have been the perfect time to say so. But she didnt. She just stared at me - yes, stared at me! Amy had plenty of opportunities to set the record straight, but instead she chose to let me leave your salon visibly upset. Why? Because insulting me was exactly what she intended - making it right, was not.As a business owner myself, I was sure that you, the owner would want to know about my experience and would appreciate the opportunity to make it right. Boy was I mistaken!! You werent even at the salon when this all occurred, yet you looked my husband in the eye and called me a Liar!! Who does that? Ive never met another business owner (and I know plenty of them) who would dream of doing that. You didnt show the slightest bit of concern. Never once offered up an apology. All you did was make an already terrible experience worse. Its no wonder your staff doesnt understand customer service.And its not just me. Your online reviews warn consumers about you. Terrible customer service! Vicky (the owner) is rude and doesnt know a thing about customer service. I can now attest to that.Despite what you believe to be true, it was a very poor business decision to not even attempt to make it right with me (the customer). An apology would have gone a long way. Do you know how many people an upset customer tells about their awful experience?Google it.Customer service is what separates the businesses that succeed and the businesses that die. And word of mouth is EVERYTHING!I will never use your business again. I will never send you another referral. And I will do everything in my power to encourage other paying customers to spend their hard earned money with companies who appreciate them.My husband and I intend to tell everyone how you, Amy and Andrew treated us - start to finish.

This is a good nail spa. It just doesnt serve beverages to you, like tea or water. If it did serve them it would be a 5 star!

Amazing I suggest u make an appointment I was a walk in and had to wait 30 minute but than someone canceled so I only had to wait 5. I got Acrylics and it on cost $35. Nail Tech was amazing at what se did and supper friendly, and incase u wanted to know a refill costs around $20 which is not bad and polish is 8. Over all amazing place will go back 10000000%

Will never return. First time I went in was before I went on vacation so I was desperate to find a place that does dip powder before I left and the lady I got did an amazing job and I wish I got her name. I went in a second time hoping I would get the same service and I got the complete opposite. I got the same thing, dip with tips, and the different lady I got rushed like I wasn’t a customer too? All my nails were misshapen and I asked for them to be fixed and she said “it’s your fingers, look!” yet the first lady before did them perfectly? A week later the dip on one of my fingers started lifting off my nail. This place charges crazy amount for poor INCONSISTENT service and low quality products. They are radio silent throughout the entire service yet towards the end when they started finishing up they spark up a jolly outgoing convo right before you’re suppose to tip? Shady, you’re better off finding somewhere else.

I had a shellac manicure and regular pedicure here for $57 and the work was pretty sloppy. I also didn’t think it was very cleanly and I observed them skip cleaning counters between guests. As a final nail in the coffin, they don’t let you tip on card purchases but of course they have an ATM available in the lobby with a fee; no thanks!! I won’t be returning.

I had an appt but still had to wait an hour for the nail tech to start. When she finally started she sighed and said oh you have on shellac I said yes. I told her I wanted Shellac on my nails and toes. She seemed frustrated because Shellac was going to take longer. She kept complaining to another nail tech about the fact that I wanted Shellac. This was going to make her late for her next appt. Now when I booked the appt I told the person on the phone that I wanted Shellac on my nails and toes. Furthermore, who complains about a customer asking for a more expensive service??I didnt like how I was treated. My pedicure was extremely rushed. She did not do half the things she usually does like wrap a warm towel around my legs or give a good massage. Even though I patiently waited on the nail tech for an hour!!! I got bad service. I was treated like I was an inconvenience. The nail tech had someone else do my manicure and that was rushed to.Usually this establishment is meticulous with making sure they groom your cuticles really good. They usually spend a good amount of time on the pedicure and manicure. My manicure does not look nearly as well as it should. Very Disappointed. I will not be back.

Very inconsiderate and unprofessional. I made an appointment a week in advance during my lunch break at 12. I arrived at 12:05 and they told me because I was late, they gave my appointment away and I couldnt see a technician until 12:20. Keep in mind, I made this appointment with a friend who got there at 12 and got service, where I did not. At that point, it was much too late for me to receive the service so I wasted my hour lunch period because of this terrible customer service. They over charge and offer additional services and dont tell you the additional charges until youre cashing out. Ive come here several times so to be treated as though I didnt make an appointment a week in advance and given zero consideration for my time, I will never give them my business again. I get my nails done every 2 weeks so theyre missing out on my business and my friends.

First off the sign said walk ins welcome. So I walk in and tell the man I want a pedicure and full set. Sounds like a simple process right wrong. He tells me to come back in like 2 hours. Mind you its 10 am already. Then I finally come back and I have to wait additional 30 minutes before I could even get my nails done. Side bar I would have normal left by now but the point was I had an appointment. Anyways I sit down and start the process of getting my nails done the man didnt speak good English secondly he tried to tell me that I shouldnt put shellac on my toes. I said what if Im paying you to put it on my toes then I dont see the problem. So then he puts the shellac on my toes now Im looking at the clock I said in my mind was dang its already 3. This man spent 2.5 hours on my feet. We didnt even get to my hands yet so then he does my nails. I asked he to put a simple black line down the middle of my pointer finger. With one rinestone in the middle right. Tell me why my black line was thicker than the other. I told him he had to either A. Take that line off and start again or B. Dont do the simple design. So he goes for the second try he does it again now by this time. I told him ok dont do it its ok. He says we can just put the rhinestones down the middle I didnt want that I told him. Had the audacity to be mad. I said you know what just finish my nails. When I leave out of the nail place its 530 I didnt think it would take so long. I wasted so much of my time and patience.

I have been getting mani/pedis here for almost 10 years. Always friendly, amazing service, and polish lasts! I will keep coming back with my girlfriends and family for a great experience.

I was going to try something different from my normal place, yesterday, because I needed a last minute manicure, and didnt think Id be able to get in at my regular place. I called early in the day and made an appointment for 6pm after seeing the great reviews. I rushed out of work to make it in time. Once I arrived, a girl asked if I had an appointment, I responded yes, and she started to walk away..I then said, should I sign in? A short Yes and she continued to walk away. After sitting in the lobby over 20 mins, plus seeing a walk in taken before me, I decided to leave. I have NEVER had worse customer service. Ive worked in the hospitality industry for a loooong time...if someone had explained to me it would be a few minutes longer wait than expected, ok I get that. However, to just leave a customer hanging, not shown colors to pick from, or given a heads up it would be a couple of mins more than they thought, I MAY have stayed, but obviously a good paying customer isnt worth their time. I called my usual place down the road with a similar name, the owner got me in right away. I will NEVER return to New Day. Only My Day from now on they have great service, great prices, and friendly people as well as staff. Sorry New Day, but the beautiful store front wont mask the awful customer service for long. Normally I never write reviews, but this place of business was extremely disappointing.

You need to update your website, you advertise that you do acrylic fill but when I called to make an appointment you said that service is no longer available, whats the use of having a website if its not accurate.
