This place has been very nice to my grandmother which is why it gets 2 stars. The woman who did my nails today was rude, difficult to communicate with, filed my nails from sleek tips to barely there nubs, and flat out refused to give me the service I was asking for (chrome powder on top of gel polish). Id had my nails done here before and gotten the chrome polish. This time apparently it wasnt possible. I get my nails done every 10 days. I tip well. This wasnt cool and I wont be back.

I just got eyelash extensions and my brows waxed. Great service and good quality, definitely would come again!

I got a set of simple acrylic almond shaped nails and requested they have a nude background along with 3 curved lines, almost in the shape of a rainbow, at the top. He only put one coat of nude gel polish, which was pretty much translucent, and put the “rainbows” in the middle of the nail with messy line work. He then charged me $67 which I’m not sure what it would’ve cost in the first place as the pricing sign was pretty unclear but I know that it shouldn’t cost that much for such hardly average service.

My experience was good. I came in last minute on a Sunday and they stayed open longer than their business was scheduled to be open for in order to accommodate me. I got an acrylic set of stiletto blue chrome nails. I also got my eyebrows waxed. The nails turned out lovely, and so did my eyebrows. The only thing I could complain about is the pricing ($72.00 total, plus a tip) -but hey, its the mall. I wasnt expecting any deals. Overall- you get what you pay for as far as the acrylic nails/eyebrow waxing goes. Thank you to the woman who did my nails for me. I am truly enjoying them and will come back in the near future to have them done again.

They finished my gel manicure in 15 mins. I wanted almond shape and the lady did coffin so the whole time I had to tell her how to file my nails. The manicurist was rushing so obviously she did a horrible job. I could have seriously done this myself. Never wasting my money going here again!

I’ve been to several nail salons before this one and so far I feel like this was the best one. Although there are some not so great reviews I feel like it’s a hit or miss and mainly depends on which nail artist you get. I paid $50 with a $5 tip for an acrylic nail removal and then gel polish french tips on my natural nails. I feel like it was a reasonable price and my nail artist did a great job.

The ladies did a nice job on the wife and i but upon check out they charged us for gel witch we didnt ask for in fact the gel had a bad reaction to the wifes nails so we got 45 dolla pedicure each. And wife got her brows done that math to me is 105 dolla. The charged us 160 and didnt even honor the ask about 10$ off sticker in window.. even mentioned it to owners while he was cashing us out and he acted like i was outta line for disputing the charge. We just got ROBBED!!!

I asked before service began if they had the matching gel/ dip colors like many salons do: they said yes. It was not until after my toe gel was changed that they told me they didn’t have the dip. I would have chosen no service at all over not matching colors (I got my nails done this AM somewhere else and the only reason I was doing them again was because the last place also didn’t match!) then they charged me $75 for dip and gel polish change….. other places I’ve been I’ve been able to get a dip manicure and a pedicure for this price! I was just changing colors today without the mani/ pedi. I was embarrassed to not be able to leave a tip, but I was expecting the service to be closer to $50-$55……… I would not recommend. I tried to be as clear and patient as I could be, but serious communication issues remained. Very disappointed that I just wasted so much money today

Horrible Experience!! I had a spa day with a friend who is a regular client of Red Nails. I asked for ombré nails. The tech did not provide me with the service I asked for. The acrylic was so thick that my thumbs were hurting. The set had lumps in them, they were not shaped correctly and just looked a mess! She ended up putting gel polish on them because she knew they looked bad and because I didn’t have time for her to redo them she scheduled me to come in on Friday. Because the nails were so painful, I couldn’t wait another day and went back today. But honestly, I didn’t want her to touch my nails again! The manager, Tom seemed pretty upset about what was done to my nails. He took pictures and sent them to the tech (who was off today). She then called him and they had about a 3 min conversation of what happened. I’m not exactly sure what all Tom told her because they spoke in their native language, but the tech called Tom’s phone back and asked to speak to me. As soon as I answered she began, I felt attacked. She very rudely and unprofessionally asked why was I there making a scene after she said she would fix my nails on Friday. Excuse me?!? Making a scene?!? So because I am a black woman, she assumed I was making a scene. I sat there for 2 1/2 hrs yesterday and PATIENTLY waited for someone to do my nails today without complaint. I even explained to the manager that I didn’t want to get anyone in trouble. I calmly explained to her that I was NOT making a scene and had quietly walked in and explained what happened. There was a lot that was said during our conversation. And I left the place extremely upset..so much so that I cried in the parking lot. Both my time and money was wasted! I was charged for something I didn’t ask for (gel pedicure) and paid for something I didn’t receive (ombré set). I appreciate Tom somewhat fixing my nails, but I don’t appreciate the fact that he allowed his employee to verbally attack me. Because that’s how I felt. I also believe that his version of what happened was exaggerated to the tech because why else would she assume I was “making a scene”, other than my previous reasoning. I also believe that Tom should have taken my nails off and redone them the way I originally wanted instead of “fixing” them. Because I still left with gel polish and not the ombré set I wanted. But he did say that I could come back and he would re do them. But after the phone conversation and the total disrespect, I will never step foot in the place again nor recommend this place to anyone. After leaving today I drove over to Creative Nails and explained to MY usual nail artist what happened. She just finished a BEAUTIFUL ombré set for me (like always) FREE OF CHARGE!!! She corrected the mistakes Red Nails made and didn’t even charge me! That’s customer service!!!!

I wanted a ombré black acrylic full set. I wanted a marble Design. I did noticed he over used the super glue n nail primer once he applied the powder it’s super thick and started to burn. Extremely hot to the touch to the point I almost started crying... Happened to two other fingers. He ends up messing up the marble design and tries covering it up with Tin foil. Mind you never said I wanted tin foil. Asked for someone else to do my nails he starts yelling at me telling me I’d had to wait and blamed it for an allergic reaction. I’ve always gotten my nails done never had this problem. He wants to yell he’s been doing nails for 20 years but still doing a noob mistake an even I knew he was doing something wrong.Got my nails done here once n lady was so nice and gentle and also did perfectly on the marble. If you can’t do nails properly don’t do them at all. 🤷🏽‍♀️

This is definitely a great place to get your nails done. Everytime I come in they are so friendly. They take their time. My nails last a long time. I havent had a nail break yet. Just recently Tom did my nails. He did a fabulous job. I would recommend you to go to Red Nails. Tom and Kim are great. The price is well worth it

I got there a little bit later at night, and everybody was busy, but they were all super nice, the 30 min wait was just fine. When I finally got to go, I showed Cindy 4-5 designs I liked that would probably “take a minute”, so we decided to go with a more simple one, because of the time and details. And she rock it! The actual experience was quicker and a little cheaper than I was expecting.

They didnt have the colors I wanted. Did a very poor job on my nails, not only that while she filed my nails she filed so hard she ended up filing through my skin and it was burning and bleeding, they were telling me and insisting what I should get instead of what I really wanted. I wouldnt personally ever go there again, for what I received i wouldnt pay the price.

They do a great job on manicures and pedicures but ....Customer service is terrible. Ive went here almost 4 times to get both a pedicure and manicure. Every single time i enter the shop i’m not greeted. i stand there for 1-2 minutes then someone will ask me rudely what i want done. Demi does a great job on my nails but unfortunately i CANNOT & will NOT take the bad customer service and blatant disrespect any more.they denied me service at 6:05, when the mall closes at 7. that’s completely unacceptable!

I got a fill on my nails. Initially I was in love with the color variety as well as how my nails turned out. Until the next morning when two of my nails broke while I was hiking. I wasn’t climbing or doing anything strenuous. And didn’t even notice either was broken until I looked at my hands. I went back later that day, got them fixed. Just did another nail to break a day later. What are the odds?

The guy was very nice and the place looks very nice. My mom and I went to get pedicures the lady my mom had was very nice and did a great job the lady I got was rude commented on my weight “you gained a lot of weight you used to be skinny” and it felt rushed. They told my mom if she also got a manicure they would take off $5 when we went to pay they charged us full price and pretended like they never said that.

I got a fill and 3rd day the nail popped off with my real nail fully intact 4th day another one same thing, pedicure was done fast and I left with one of my toes hurting so guessing she cut them wrong. I only went because it was the only one still open. Also I was overcharged but left it alone because it was late and I was ready to leave.

I went today for a basic set of white tips. She did my nails in under a half hour and didn’t get the shape right. Currently walking around with fans for nails! I asked for square round and she literal responded with oh I though you said super square.She then did gel without me asking and also left a hair from the nail brush in my nail and when I pointed it out she said it would be filed. She didn’t file them only buffed. She also cleaned her brush in the bottle that purple liquid that they poor out and use with the powder. Also when I asked why they were 40$ she said it because and then nothing more.I’d never return or refer someone the Tacoma mall should be ashamed to have them open in the mall

Great place, most of the ladies are dressed beautifully and they are all very friendly. Kim, the lady that does my nails is very good, one of the best I’ve ever been to. She does exactly as I ask and is very detailed plus I hadn’t been there for awhile and she remembered me very impressive.

Went there today with my 2 adult daughters for pedicures, we wr handed a plastic price sheet and picked out option 2 for $35 as it was a gift from my daughter.The lady was nice toes look great felt a little rushed, but when we went to check out cashier said $160 I said what 3x$35 is not $160 she goes $55 $55 $50 is $160 I will never go back if they are going to rip ppl off.UPDATESEPTEMBER 29thMe or my daughters have not gone back to this salon, after they read my review they emailed a response and blamed me for not communicating with cashier which I clearly did letting her know shes over charging us by $55.00 (we still tipped them also) they said they would make it right but have not know contact or attempt to send us a gift certificate for amount very very disappointed especially as my baby girl took me out for a treat that day.

This is my GO TO! The ONLY issue is that it’s in the mall BUT it’s right at a door entrance so you can skip the drama of the mall itself. I finally found a great place !!! Got simple acrylic gel nails with nail art and the coffin shape was so Perfect!!! Im impressed. Place was clean.Nail width was light not thick and they used good nail material. I got nail art and the nail tech was helpful and friendly enough to help me figure out my type of style. They came out perfect!!

My nails are alright the color is beautiful although it’s a bit expensive 45$ for gel color plus the shape i got coffin it was +5$ I waisted 50$ for nails it was my first time coming there. This has been my regular salon the last (almost) 2 years now. There is no place I will ever go again. Every employee here works so hard to make sure their customers are satisfied. They are like family to me now. I am always getting compliments on my flawless manicures and perfectly done pedicures. You should give this place a try. You will not regret it. Call to make an appointment first, they are busy most evenings and weekends.

Mimi is amazing. For years I have struggled with nails that lifted on day 2, and were popping off by day 7.... Let alone lasting a whole 2 weeks. I have been going to Mimi for about 6 months...I have gone more than 3 weeks til my next fill and had very little if any lifting. She is amazing, hands down. I dont know what all these negative comments are... I would have to agree with an earlier comment in that negative comments get posted and good experiences stay silent. What do yall expect?... A full fledged conversation on life? Someone to jump up when u walk in, and drop everything to walk u out? Sorry... This is probably not the place for you then (and neither are most of the nail shops around now). But if u want great nails with good products, honest people and great prices...I FULLY recommend them. I tried to go to another shop recently when I needed an emergent fix when I was out of town, and it was hideous and only reminded me more of why Ill continue going to Red Nails.

Absolutely stunning acrylic fill. I just went to red nails salon less than an hour ago, I almost didnt go because of the negative reviews. I. Any figure out how to attach a pic on this review so Ill post it separate. Ive been to a lot of different nail salons within the past few years, I honestly dont know if Ive ever had better shaped nails. Nina really took the time to shape my nails the way I wanted, and seemed to be very meticulous to make everything the way I wanted. I am dead serious when I say she shaped them both in thickness and length/shape beautifully. I thought my nails were good at my previous salon, but Im coming back here for my next fill. Ill upload pics in the reviews next, theyre the shimmery squarish nails with glittery tips, but nothing crazy flashy. So happy 😊 Id say give them a definite shot despite the negative comments!

Went in to remove my acrylics with a friend who needed the same service, the technician immediately tried to upsell me and my friend to the gel polish, which the friend declined and I accepted. The technician proceeded to pry on my nails before theyd soaked in acetone long enough, ended up tearing part of my natural nail up on one finger, tore my nail from the nail bed on another, and (with her drill bit) gouged into a third nail that was already quite thin. As she finished my nails and buffed then, she buffed quite a bit of my finger with the soft file as well, while simultaneously yanking on each of my nails including the ones shed already hurt. I also noticed that the drill bits she was using were on a tool stand on top of the table and it appeared they were not sanitized before or after me. I felt like she was trying to rush through me even though nobody was waiting and we werent close to closing time. I ended up changing my mind on the gel, and opted to leave without additional services; mostly due to the patronizing attitude the woman had when id jerked my hand from her reflexively when she caught me with the drill. The service was quick and I suppose you could say it was efficient. But it was overall not a very positive experience. I dont get my nails done terribly often, as it isnt really sustainable to my lifestyle, but I wont be coming back here if I can help it.

Ive been going here since I was 3 with my mom I am now 16 and my mom and I both love it there the people are amazing. Although sometimes there is a wait. But they get done fast! Definitely would recommend to anyone who just wants to relax and get there nails done with no rush

First time coming in, she did amazing and really paid attention to detail to make sure they were perfect. Definitely coming here from now on. They were very nice to my six year old as well.

I called to make an appointment the lady who answered said they usually dont take appointments at 8pm but said i could come in. So because it was an emergency I got there about 8:11pm the lady at the front counter didnt say anything but sit down and wait its now 8:25 PM and no one has ran my water or even came over to me.... worst customer service ever and I wouldnt recommend the place at all. If she wouldve turned me away from the beginning I wouldve been fine with that, but to have me sit here like she didnt agree is just beyond me.

This is the only place that I will ever go to!! The customer service is great, the nails come out fantastic! I love that it is in the mall because afterwards, I can go and get something to eat or continue my shopping needs.

Went in for pedicure for me and my husband and they didn’t converse with us and did a piss poor job on my nail polish. Water was cold and my husband foot look like she only did have the foot. When they were done they just got up and walked away. We never come back. If you are military and need a place to get your nails or feet done ask other spouse or active members before coming here. My daughter can do better.

I came in and paid $50 for my nails (first time getting them done). I showed my friend who does hers all the time and she told me and showed me that more than half the nails looked like they were done incorrectly. I went back in the next morning to get them fixed and she laughed at me!!! She claimed to not get what I was talking about and just kept laughing at me. Her name was Mimi. I will not be returning and it makes me sad that my first experience was like this.

Me & my vietnamese fiance came in on a Saturday for pedicures. These 2 ladies worked on us had no idea my fiance understood everything they said.First of all, the lady woke on me dressed like she worked at a night club. The lady worked on my fiance dressed like she was doing yard work.My fiance texted me what they were saying while getting our feet done. I thought that were BOLD of them to bs, talked about customers instead of talked to customers.Never going back there. Were not very impressed with them & not a second chance.

I have never had a problem with them squeezing me in. People who have a bad experience are quick to complain and those that have a good experience are usually silent. So Im taking this time to say to those at Red Nails I appreciate your hard work not everyone can do what you do. I have seen some of the peoples feet you have to work on.....lol. Red Nails, despite being quite busy when I came in, still managed to get me in without a long wait when I came in for a basic manicure + gel color. The staff was kind, and Mi Mi did great with my nails. The products used here are from reputible brands like KiaraSky and Gellish, and the tools are clearly sanitized and cleaned well. Overall the only thing that could improve is having a set receptionist on staff; my nail artist had to step away several times to help other customers check in and get settled (which I didnt mind, but I can foresee a busy or impatient customer disliking.) Great service, good prices (under $20 for a basic manicure!) and I am a big fan overall :)

I just got a pedicure at this nail shop and I liked it until now. I recently just got stationed here in March 2015. After going to this nail shop a few times I had a hep b scare. So I was cleared so I havent thought much of ot. After today I shall not ever return here. Here is why I came in and as normal I was distracted by my phone so not paying attention but I was pretty sure the lady didnt change and of the cuticle cleaning or the toe nail clippers out. I was unsure till I was f finished. She only took back the foot scape and the thing to smooth out your feet. So now I am in utter shock about the entire thing. I know that those items really need to be cleaned after use. An I am now thinking that she didnt clean them before I got my feet done...I am upset and going to complain.

I was a walk in client, no waiting.The lady that did my pedicure was professional and she honored my request to allow me to just soak my tired feet for a bit. No complaints.

This place is horrible. This was the second time I came to get my nails done and had a horrible experience. I called before I came and was told a fill was $15.00. Once I drove all they way there and she started my nails she stated they were going to charge me for taking off my nail color and also since I was not getting gel color she was gone charge me to cut down my nails after she said they dont charge for cut down. This place is a rip off. Its never what they quote. So for a refill and to take the color off my nails she decided to charge me $26.00.00 dont go here they do not have set prices....

Walked in with about 20 minutes left until closing, asking for a pedicure . I was seated as soon as I chose my polish color . best pedicure Ive had in such a long time !! amazing foot massage !! didnt feel rushed at all . overall it was a great experience, would definitely return and recommend to anyone looking for a good pedicure in the area for a really reasonable price !!
