I took my car to the dealer to get the oil changed, who turned around and told me of a few repairs that needed to get done. A couple days later, I brought it to On the spot to do the repairs, and within 20 minutes I got a call telling me those repairs were not needed!! They checked out a few other things for me, and advised there was wear but not something that needed to be done right now. And best of all, they did NOT charge me big diagnosis fees to look at my car.Nothing attracts my business more than an honest business. I must say, I found my new mechanic!!!

I have literally spent thousands of my hard earned dollars at this shop over the past 3 or so years. Things went very well for a while and I really thought I found a great place to bring my vehicle which recently has had quite a few problems. Then I started seeing the owners (Alex) real side. Phone calls and emails that dont get returned, he seems to get grumpy when you suggest an idea which is just a suggestion trying to lead to a solution to the vehicles issue. I printed up a post I found on one of the mechanics forums about how a guy who was experiencing the same problem as my car got his vehicle fixed. Alex wouldnt even look at it. So last week I spent close to $100 on cam shaft positioning sensor that went nowhere closer to resolving my issue. I then suggested another approach to his associate of a legitimate job that I wanted them to do and asked him to have Alex call me back to set up an appointment. I didnt get a call back. I had been a loyal customer over 3 years and this is how they reward you for it? I really think this is sad and despicable. Ill admit for the most part they are really decent mechanics but the owner is very touchy, arrogant, and somewhat rude. At the end of day when you give someone your business you should be treated so much better than this.

If there was higher than a 5 star they would have it. Fast, friendly, inexpensive.it is by far the best place I have been to in the area. They are there to help not to make a quick buck like some. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a reliable service

They were great had new tires installed somewhere else. They sent me to On The Spot Auto for the Alignment. I was told it was $75.00. When they put the vehicle on the machine it did not need one. They only charged me $15.00. Very honest people. I will recommend them for sure!!

I have been getting my vehicles serviced at On The Spot Auto for a few years now. They have always been up front and honest with me. I had my F150 in there and I would have had a several hundred dollar repair but Alex informed me that the frame was rusted through. They could have just repaired what I wanted them to and made some money but they were up front and honest with me and told me to not waste the money and time for a new vehicle. I took their advice and they have done all maintenance and repairs on my vehicle as well as my wifes ride. They are a top notch repair facility and I will not go anywhere else. These guys know their stuff and I would recommend this shop to anyone. Keep up the good work guys!!Mike

These guys are the best. Their pricing is fair, their work is honest, and theyre genuinely good people. From oil changes, alignments, brakes, and other routine jobs, all the way to lift kits on Previa mini-vans, theyve done it all with a smile. Well miss them in Deforest, but Sun Prairie isnt that far so well make the drive.

Alex has been the only one that we trust with our vehicles. He has never over charged us for something we dont need and he has always been truthful. He is fast with turn around time and the price is reasonable. Its not like walking into a dealership and being told you need to buy a new vehicle because you are reaching too many miles, he does what he can to get you back on the road as soon as possible. I couldnt imagine taking my vehicles any other place.

The prices seem fair and the guys I talked to there were very nice. They even pointed me to a few things I could fix up myself if I had the time and didnt want to spend the money for them to do it. Its nice to have an honest and hard working guy at an independent shop right across 51 to save you a few bucks that would have incurred at the dealership. Ive gotten an oil change all the way up to a timing belt replacement so far, and they really do help you put the pride back in your ride.

Friendly staff, fast service, and great prices.I took my car in because I ran into an issue replacing my brake pads/rotors. Not only did they get me in right away (same day morning), they were friendly, helpful, and didnt charge an arm and a leg. I live on the west side of Madison but I see myself driving to Deforest next time I need work done on my car.

I used to be in the parts business and Im very picky about who works on my vehicles. Alex and Jason are the top of my list. Theyre very knowledgeable mechanics, and very resourceful when something odd happens (which is not uncommon when working on cars with 300k+ miles). From basic stuff to complex jobs on the oddball cars (VW, Audi, BMW, etc) these guys can handle it. In addition to being great mechanics, they offer fair pricing, use quality parts, are honest about what needs to be done and what doesnt, and they stand behind their work. Despite living 30 miles away, On The Spot Auto is my first choice in a shop.

These guys have excellent customer service! I had to leave my car there after hours when it suddenly started driving funny. I called them the next day, they gave me a quote on repair, and were totally cool when I said I didnt want to fix it. They even let me leave it there for a week until a buyer could come take it off my hands! I asked if I could pay them for parking or anything... He wouldnt let me. I brought him some Spotted Cow. 😊

They helped me in a tight situation. I lost oil pressure at 2am and had to pull over to a gas station and they got me in the very next morning, even though it was just a bad sensor, they gave me a fair price and got me back on the road quick. I would definitely recommend this place. I am a female so it is hard to find a mechanic that treats me like I know what Im talking about. This place is tops in my book!

These guys were great. They did not try to upsell me anything but just worked on the work that I asked them to do. They pointed out a few things that needed to be done but did not put pressure me into getting them done. I got my car in and out quickly and the guys were very curteous in dealing with me. OTSA did a wonderful job on my 2008 Toyota In the last 2 years Ive taken my car to 3 different mechanics, one being Toyota, to find and fix the awful screeching sound I hear when I start the engine cold. All 3 said it was the serpentine belt so all 3 replaced it. IT WAS NOT THE SERPENTINE BELT. OTSA diagnosed the problem right away- Damage to the water pump. They replaced the pump and the serpentine belt (for good measure) and for the first time in 2 years I started my car cold and didnt hear the sound! Their prices were reasonable- Safety check, new water pump, serpentine belt, tire rotation, new front brakes and roters- and I got my car back same day. Will definitely go back and recommend to friends.BONUS- Buddy, the shop dog is adorable. We played fetch in the garage while his humans rang up my invoice.

After having my vehicle serviced here several times for oil changes, tire issues and engine problems, I can confidently say that OTSA is my go-to shop for any car problems Ill run in to in the future. They dont try to sell you some extra garbage you dont need, they dont pretend theres more wrong with your car than there is. They find the issue, let you know your options, and get it taken care of in a timely manner. Theyve even taken the time to explain the details and fuctions of the different parts of the car and how things work together, which is cool to me because I know little about the inner workings of cars.Their mascot dogs are pretty cool too. They love to play fetch. Seriously. I played fetch with their dog for like 2 hours once when they were doing some work on my car. He does not get bored of it.Overall, Id definately reccommend them if you need something done on your car. In my experience their service is badass, and they do great work.
