She was quick, but precise- and it was clear she knew exactly what she was doing. Not to mention, for such great quality services….the prices you cannot beat. I would definitely come back!

Love this place! It was my first time there and I am always a wreck trying some place new🙄😂. Shay was so patient and understanding and repeated what she head me asking for to make sure we were on the same page. I loved the mini trim job and fun colors she added. Suna is the absolute best!!!! She knows her stuff….after being told by another stylist that she couldn’t do what I wanted I found Suna and I’m so glad I did. I’ll definitely be going back. The color and my new cut is amazing!!! I was nervous to cut so much off, but she reassured me and made me feel gorgeous. I definitely recommend the salon to any and everyone!!!

Just recently moved to the area, walked in for a haircut around lunch time & was immediately greeted when entering by the front desk employee. She was very very sweet and personable. She even offered me a bottle of water while I was waiting. The stylist did a great job on my haircut. Everyone was so nice, the front desk lady updated me on how long the wait would be and the timing was perfect! I will be returning.

Saturday, I saw Yolanda for the second time! Both times she knows exactly what I want. She listens to me and explains what would work and wouldn’t wouldn’t work. I love that she is honest and does what’s best for me. She doesn’t seem worried about trying to make more money she’s worried about making sure my hair is happy and healthy!!This is my most favorite hair coloring low light highlight experience I’ve ever had! I come here every time I need to recolof my highlights. Dom is amazing at it and he’s always up for the coloring projects I bring in. It’s always such a joyous 1.5-2 hours when I get my hair done and I always LOVE how it comes out. Everyone here is so talented and considerate of their customers desired outcome. Yolanda M. was great! My daughter came in to get very specific bangs, and she nailed it! She listened and executed 100% . I requested a simple trim. She didnt try to do anything edgy or different than what I asked for, which I appreciated more than she probably knew. We will return to Yolanda for sure!

I went in to get my roots touched up a couple of weeks ago and now my roots are coming in. I was told that they use better products and the color would last longer, which is not the case. I called in today to see what they say about their products and if they stand behind what they said. The girl who picked up the phone was very nice and I could hear someone in the background asking her, what’s going on. I was put on a brief hold. When someone came back to the phone she wasn’t the girl I was originally talking to. This girl was rude and not friendly. She told me that the person that I used to color my hair doesn’t color hair. Which is strange because I only went to this Salon because the girl I use, use to work at a different Salon and has been doing my hair for over a year. She also informed me that when the girl that does my hair came in for an interview she told the owner of the Salon that she didn’t want to do color anymore, but she would do it if her clients that followed her there came in. I could careless what was said in an interview, I’m there to get my hair done and get what I paid for. So she told me that the owner said I could come in and she would take a look at my hair and it would be free. I was told that the owner has a very busy schedule and only has today, tomorrow and Thursday available. I scheduled for Thursday but I told the Receptionist that I might have to cancel because my daughter has a dentist appointment that day and I didn’t know the time. So we hung up and I found out from my husband that our daughter’s dentist appointment is at 3:30 on Thursday and he doesn’t get off work till 12:30 so there’s no way I could make the appointment at 12:45. I called back. I’m assuming the Receptionist recognized my phone number and she answered the phone by saying, hello. I’m like hello, she said yes. I told her that I had just called and talked to her about the owner fixing my hair and she said ok. I told her that Thursday at 2:15 would would instead of 12:45. She said she changed the time for me and I asked her, what her name was and she said my name is Buckwetta and I’m the receptionist but everyone calls me B. I tried to confirm the time with her but she pretended like the phone wasn’t working. I kept saying hello, hello and she acted like she couldn’t hear me so I hung up. This is ridiculous. This Receptionist needs training. I remember when I first called to set up my first appointment she was rude then. I should’ve known for that point on that this place wasn’t good. How can you answer phones like that and deal with clients if you’re that rude. I’m sure I’m not the only person who feels this way.

Not the Same old Same Sad SalonExcellent quality, a brilliant studio with private areas and a passionate personnel. Absolutely Terrific!I brought my wife in who really needed uplifting. When we arrived they were quick to help us out, we were expecting to hear they couldnt help us because of the color transition we were attempting to make. We wanted to go from faded pink to red and yellow fire like coloration. This would require some of the pink to be turned into yellow without completely falling apart among other issues. After finding out that the Pink (Splat) dye she had used was a very hard type of dye to remove or work with we were starting to feel a bit hopeless. The employees reassured us that they could try, but couldnt promise anything due to the circumstances. Then they got to work fast. We showed up not long before they closed with a stressed out wife, three kids and a short tempered Dad. Normally I would have stayed home with them, but we were already out, and honestly, we didnt expect to get the job done at the time. They not only handled my heathens constant shenanigans, but kept her mellow, provided the uplifting she needed and performed the best color we could have hoped for. It was an experience my wife will surely never forget, and certainly better quality than we could have received any where, short of calling Mariah Carrey for her personal hair stylist. We will be returning here from now on. Try this place out, cant go wrong. These pictures really dont do it justice as the finished product is even styled here. You can see the pink became yellow as asked.

Maxx Salon delivered an exceptional experience for my best friend’s bridal party this past weekend. None of us are from Summerville, so we chose their business based off of distance to the venue, price, and google reviews. They certainly exceeded expectations. The staff was extremely friendly and engaging, made us feel like family the moment we walked in. Their positivity and fun-nature really made us enjoy the appointment. They provided us with snacks and refreshments as we got ready since it was wedding day, something we did not request nor expect, but appreciated greatly. We all loved our hair, and they even did our makeup though we asked last minute. Highly recommend for all event needs!

This is a very personable salon with great stylists plus a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. My stylist, Dom, is a genius with color and cut! The owner is so nice and thoughtful, and the receptionist, Dawn is fantastic- she knows just who to direct you to for your needs. Very glad I found this gem of a salon!

I have been wanting to get my hair done for a while but very nervous about it, I went to a salon last year and the hairdresser used scissors that were not even cutting my hair. I looked up and saw a billboard for Maxx Studio and then researched them online and decided to just do it. Tracy Anderson was able to fit me in shortly after I got there. I was greeted by friendly staff members and showed them a picture of what I was wanting and Tracy was so happy to offer her expertise and she made me feel comfortable right away. I am extremely happy with my cut, highlights and custom pink she created for the streaks I wanted. I will definitely be returning, I am no longer afraid to have my hair done, I will only go to Maxx Studio. Thank you Tracy for all your help and compassion towards my concerns and anxiety.

Really like this place, was the only place Ive ever gone to sign into and sign agreements about the covid. But Ive been here twice in the 6 weeks over lived in Summerville and would say probably a place Ill continue to go to. I loved the atmosphere and everyone was being more than safe with the social distancing and wearing the mask. Cant complain at all there. I really do appreciate it guys and cant wait to see ya on the next one. I recently moved to Summerville and my original beautician is in spartanburg. I had to find one in Summerville. I searched looking for ships that had highest rating. I found this one with a high rating that had a lot of people that had been here. Do not call and just get an appointment with anyone if you are having color done. I had highlight and low light done. Person they put me with only had two years experience. Anyone knows for that kind of service you should put that person with someone with experience. My low lights bleed into my highlights. I then had to tell her how to fix it. Then after the messup they tried to charge me 150. When I called earlier and quoted 120 for my service. Lets say I will not go back. I will have to fight myself and drive to spartanburg.

I had Mariah do my eyebrows and she was really nice and fun to talk to. She did an amazing job on my eyebrows along with my sister’s. Overall everyone was really nice and I will be back.

Love this salon. Keith is great. Had long hair and he was all in when I said chop it all off. It turned out great and was the change I needed! Everyone is so nice here and they make you feel at home. I would highly recommend it, especially to all the new folks moving to this area. As a transplant from Pittsburgh I have tried several places but this one by far is the best.

Ive been twice now and both times I had completely destroyed my own hair and needed it fixed. Both times I had a great experience.The first time I went I had Dom and he rescued my hair from a bad bleach job that made my hair frizzy and puffy, gave me a great style, and his personality was awesome, energetic, and funny.The second time I went I had Bryce and she was amazing. My hair was beyond dead and she brought it back to life, gave it a great style and she had great energy. Shes really down to earth as well and made me feel good about myself. (Shes also really into video games and anime and we kind of bonded over that)The staff as a whole is just so amazing. I would recommend this place 100% and I will never go anywhere else. Ill hopefully be back soon for a professional color so I dont destroy my hair again lol.

I got a cut and color from the owner Suna. I can say that this was my first time there and I didn’t receive the most welcome greeting. I arrived early checked in signed paperwork and sat down. 15 minutes after my appointment I had to go up and ask if they even checked me in. So the color probably would have covered all the way if she wouldn’t have been so rushed. I think I was triple booked she did two haircuts while my color was on. Fine totally up for multitasking as long as my hair doesn’t suffer. I then showed her a picture of the haircut I wanted she said no problem I can do this in my sleep. I thought great! No not great. She sat and complained about how her next client was there and if she didn’t hurry he would leave. Kind of left me feeling like I didn’t matter. Next issue was they are not blow drying hair but I have curly hair and she didn’t even put any product in my hair to get me out the door. I understand it’s a covid precaution but hey they didn’t even take my temperature on the way in. Thank goodness I didn’t have anywhere to go after that. I went home put product in and dried and straightened my hair to see how it looked the hair cut is so awful. It’s so uneven I haven’t worn my hair down since it was cut a week ago. I didn’t call to have it fixed because I’m not sure she is capable without me losing 3 inches throughout my head. So I won’t be back and I won’t be referring anyone to this salon. I also think they should advise client the cost of what services they will be having done.

My son had his hair long for many years and we received a coupon in the mail upon moving to Summerville from this particular salon. When my son told me he was ready to cut his hair I was excited to use my coupon! What a great decision! Their prices are almost the same you’d see at the cheapy salons, but what I didn’t expect was their award winning attitudes and just the genuine way they treat you. The ladies here provided incredible service to both myself and my son and we couldn’t be happier!! Found my new hangout anytime I need anything done. Definitely worth paying $5 more than Walmart’s prices for quality cuts and quality service. Superb example to follow for anyone running a business. You gals ROCK!

This was my second time coloring my hair. At 60yrs old was a bit nervous. I was so shocked and excited when I left MAXX STUDIO My hair looked better than I have seen it in years. I love it. My family loves it. I went online the night before Valentines day not expecting to be able to get an appointment. To my surprise they got me right in even on Valentines day. Im new to the area and here at MAXX STUDIO I feel so very comfortable. Brenda did a wonderful job. I have found my salon home here.

Great salon! Family atmosphere. The stylist are very knowledgeable in all hair textures. When I first started coming to the salon, my hair was very damaged. Now it is healthy and has grown tremendously. The salon offers a variety of of services and the prices are very reasonable. My daughter and I love this place! The staff is really pleasant and Kim knows what shes doing! Ive been there twice and both times with her. She lnows how to do layers correctly and she always does it in a way that frames my face and the layers tape down and dont look like a mullet. KIM IS AMAZING!! First time Ive left a salon and loved my haircut, and first time Ive gone home and not cried about how awful my haircut turned out. The reason I went back and Ill continue to return.

Brenda did an amazing job on my walk-in over processed hair in desperate need of a root touch up. I even brought my own sweet and low so my scalp didnt burn. We even talked about doing high and low lights in the future. Everyone was friendly and professional. Definitely recommend and I will be using again Im sure when in town.

She always uses great products and my hair always feels so soft and much less damaged than when I first come into the salon. My eyebrows experience was amazing as well(I wish I got his name but he did amazing on fixing my eyebrows) I highly recommend this place. Had a facial done by Michael, this past Friday. It was my first visit to this salon. He did an excellent job. He tailored my facial to my faces needs. My face felt and looked so hydrated when he was finished. He is very personable. I will definitely go back! I was greeted by a very friendly staff.

Maxx Studio Salon & Spa of Summerville, SC is the perfect mix of high class salon and relaxing simplicity. All staff is friendly and radiate the same vibe as the atmosphere itself. I specifically got my hair cut by LORI BARTON and she is phenomenal! I take pride in the long locks that I have and always worry about going to a new stylist for fear that theyll chop too much off. Lori made me and my hair her number one priority and took great concern in my needs. She always asked before she cut and when I left, my hair looked wonderful and I could feel how great it looked! Even days after I just started to love it more and more. Lori is in this business for a reason, because she NAILS IT!!

Last minute decision to get my hair done yesterday and I chose Maxx because of all of the fantastic reviews. Was still pretty nervous because its a new place for me and I can be picky about my hair, not to mention a salon with 100% 5star reviews sounds too good to be true. Well its not! This salon is amazing. I had the pleasure of having Tracy work on my hair. She is brilliant! Put me 100% at ease and I felt like I had been going to her for years. I LOVE MY HAIR. And she was a talker, I love that. It can be awkward getting your hair done somewhere new and theres no talking...so its just weird silence the whole time. The studio is clean and the atmosphere is great. The prices are all very reasonable. All of the stylistis and employees are attentative and kind. Each stylist does their best to make sure that their customers are getting what they want. Everything is always on point and if it isnt exactly what you are looking for they will alter it for you. They are even able to fix your hair after another studio has done it incorrectly. Suna and Mariah are great!

It was honestly the best salon experience Ive ever had !

I have to say that I gave this salon very high hopes. Since in the past I have had bad haircuts. And once again that is just what happened. I asked for a certain hairstyle bought in a picture and left with nothing that I asked for. It’s like they cut it the way they wanted and didn’t listen to the customer. I am now stuck with it until it grows out. It was cute and all because it was styled and done. But once I’ve washed it and took a good look at it I can say that I am completely unsatisfied.

My daughters regular stylist cancelled last minute in Mount Pleasant, so with a sad 6 year old we took a chance on a new salon. Briona was our stylist. I was hesitant about letting her cut my daughters hair. I noticed she didnt section it off and cut her hair as our usual stylist would, but hey she is the professional... I have attached several pictures of my daughters hair... You will notice it is uneven in back. It literally slants... You will notice just a total mess... she assured me she was experienced in childrens hair and my daughters hair type.... So disappointed and let down as I knew better then to try anyone other than my daughters original stylist. I do not want a refund. I simply want you to be aware of the botched haircut your stylist gave my 6 year old..

Literally the WORST salon experience of my life. 3 hours here and $250 later, i left withmy hair half orange, half dark brown and fried. I literally can not stop crying

Im new to the area and was looking for a hair salon. Maxx was recommended to me by a co worker. I called for an appointment, they were so accommodating. Sherie was my stylists, she was awesome!! My hair was so dry and damaged. She helped me choose a color (i was sitting on a the fence between colors). She deep conditioned my hair, colored and styled my hair. She was funny and made me feel like I had been a long time customer. Everyone at Maxx was wonderful. The studio was spacious and meticulous. The staff was really great and sherie was simply amazing. I recommend Maxx Studio and Sherie whole heartedly

Lori did an amazing job at doing exactly what I wanted with my hair. The environment was very relaxing and the fact that it is a full service salon is awesome. Will definitely be returning.

I got a full highlight done on 5/5. My hair was not done properly. My hair looks like I have weeks worth of growout. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the color came out good.

This place is nice everyone is polite and friendly. The only things I wish I would of known is that my hair color correction was going to take so long ahead of time. I would of also like to have known the price of everything as we whent along instead of after the work was done. The price is reasonable not complaining on price just wish I knew as we whent along. I am very happy with hair results and that they took the time to work on my hair when it was just supposed to be a color but turned out to be a color correction and color. I will definitely go here again.

OMG I love my hair cut! Its better then I expected! I have felt so blah lately and now I feel young and hot again! What a confidence boost! It makes me look younger and thinner in the face.
