Sadly since the main barber Ali has left it has dropped off. No one else really cares over there it seems, I told the guy on the left to cut my beard a certain way several times but he was looking at his phone and cut a lot of it off, i just wanted the top of it trimmed. He walked away for 10 mins in the middle of the haircut as well and kept using his phone the whole time . No standards or professionalism. My beard will regrow but I won’t trust this place again.

They are absolutely the worst barbers especially the first guy to the left he doesnt listen to anything, he was on a phone call with his “friends” for half of the haircut not paying attention and cut my hair VERY VERY SHORT it took me 2 years to grow it and he messed it up surprised some of u actually rate this a good place smh have a good year cause i surely wont !

Scheduled an appointment with 3 different barbers on 3 different days. Didnt show up on any of the appointments, waited over 30 minutes. Extremely unprofessional and careless. Every since Ali left, the place has fallen apart. Been coming here for 2 years, but today was the last day.

Finally found a great place in Houston for my son’s haircut (kids haircut or fading). We went with Hasan and he does awesome job. Exactly what you ask him to do.

I usually get a haircut and beard trim here from Deya. Service is always great and very friendly.

I called and Sam, answered and I told him if I can book an appointment for 11am for me and my 2 sons for a haircut and I also asked him if we can also walk in just in case we arrive earlier. He said no problem and I said great, well be there at 11am. Only to my disappointment that when we arrive there we found out that my name is not in the system and we have to wait for more than an hour or more if we want the haircut because we are not in there system according to Ali (barber) and I told him that I called and spoke to Sam which he said he is the owner to whom I booked our appointment. I hope that they will be professional enough and courteous to their customer.

I have been going to this place for more then a year now, and yesterday was the last time Ill be visiting them. Hassan was highly unprofessional and didnt seem to care. He left for 15 mins while he was cutting my hair. I decided to leave when he did not show up for 15 mins and they still charged me a full price. Not going there again!

This place is Joke, I here a couple times and it’s been all bad experiences, last time I came the guy cutting my hair was on the phone and seemed super distracted, but anyways I decided to give this place another chance and came in for a fade and the guy cutting my hair stopped in the middle of my haircut to watch TV, he also started talking to his coworkers and stopped cutting my hair to talk to him. Overall he treated me like cutting my haircut was his last concern, and messed up my haircut, this is very disrespectful to the customer, people have important things to do and pausing the haircut to watch tv is a waste of my time. Focusing on the customers haircut should be your main concern!! If you want a bad haircut with a distracted barber go here.

Made an appointment for the first time and it was nightmare. You have a better chance of getting a good haircut and the $3.99 place.Told the guy not to cut my beard short and butchered it completely and at the end he says thats what you said.The worst place to get hair cut or beard period.No after shave was used no gel was offered just rushed and got it done everything in like 10 minutesPlease don’t come here if you love your beard.

This 1 star review is too generous. I walked in to give it a chance after he butchered my friends hair and had the audacity to change his hair color from pepper grey to autumn brown. He even farted multiple times as he was cutting my hair. His co-workers laughed whenever I walked in asking if I can get a haircut as if I had walked in to a comedy show, little did I know it turned out to be a horror movie. He offered the clippers to cut my own hair after he messed it up. You have a better chance getting struck by lighting than getting a good haircut here. All reviews above 1 star are probably written by the owners. Avoid ever coming into this place unless you wanna leave looking like Mark Davis. Google Mark Davis, I dare you.

I came to Ali Baba on suggestion from a friends dad, not a lot of expectation but I can proudly say I was thoroughly satisfied! I told Ali it was my first time there and I needed a clean up after studying for 5 months straight and he really took care of me. Not only did he do the hair and beard to perfection, he gave me a nice facial scrub and massage. All in all the vibe was really fun and the hair cut was amazing. And best of all only 30$! The competition around town would be 50+ for the same amount of care. Loved it and will definitely come back

Edit: They lost their best barber. I came back much to my regret. They took 8 months of my beard growth off. Gave me an uneven beard and didnt even try to fix it once I pointed it out. I had to go to another barber to fix it.I literally told him that my wife likes my beard long and he hacked it into an un-maintainable mess. Its going to take a year at least to repair.The man that was originally there was very dedicated to his craft. Too bad the rest of the shop does not seem to understand beards.PS: before responding to this, know that I refuse to argue with a barber. He can wreck your hair. I have no put my faith in a barber I have glasses and cant see without them. I give my order and literally have to trust the barber.Arguing with a barber is a terrible idea.

I was visiting Houston and my friend suggested this place. Booked an appointment online and went in. First thing first, they use scissors to cut your hair rather than trimmer. It was little hard to explain them How I want my hair cut but my barber understood. End result was great. I loved my haircut. Will be coming back to this place.

No complains about Hair cutting. The barbers were good and treated us professionally. The issue is with the charge. It clearly states on the website and their price sheet at shop that kids haircut is $12. I was charged for an adult haircut since my kid hair was long and Barber had to spend more time on him. Well doesnt matter how much time Barber spends or how long is the hair as there is no disclaimer in the price sheet.This is so unprofessional. I will not be going back.

He started rushing the haircut and I had to tell him to fix parts of my hair, he looked annoyed and couldn’t be bothered. Felt more like a $10 haircut not worth $25 dollars. Go here at your own risk

I have been a pretty frequent customer for a while now. Yesterday, I had an appointment for myself and one for my son. Mine was in the morning and his was in the afternoon. My appointment was fine.When I brought my 4 year old son in, I was told that my barber had left and would be back in an hour. I was asked if I had booked and I pointed at the booking on the large screen above the counter. The person who was helping me just shrugged and said come back in an hour.I immediately called the boardroom and explained the situation and they were able to fit my son in immediately.I used to like this place as it felt like the barbers back home. However, I am just going to spend the extra and go to the Boardroom from now one where they actually treat each customer the same. Yep, people of middle eastern descent get preferential treatment too here. I have witnessed it every time I have had my hair cut here. At least 5 times now.I was actually the person who recommended the Armon Ms friends dad to go, which has led to multiple referrals. It would be nice if I wasnt treated in such a way after multiple referrals but you know, I am white.

It was our first time here and we will definitely be returning. The owner Ali was very nice and attentive that I bought my two boys he put on cartoons so they were calm the whole time. He gave them lollipops and conversations and the were happy! The haircut my son got was also really good. All the guys that worked there were really sweet as well. No point in scheduling and leaving your number for an appointment theyll have you waiting for an hour outside without a word. Do not recommend waste of time. And theyre not following covid laws they had that place packed up people in the back were sitting elbow to elbow

Dispite all the good reviews, I had a horrible experience at this barbar shop, I showed my barbar ali the type of haircut I have been getting for the past 7 years, I explained the specifics of how I wanted the cut to be, but ended up with a cheap $5 haircut where no matter what you explain, you get the same haircut as everyone else. He was too busy talking to other people while cutting my hair, not paying attention to his job and end up giving me a very crooked hairline, shaved my sides and cut the top so short that I cant even do a combover properly. Very disappointing visit, and after confronting him, he said oh I see where I messed up but give it a week and it will grow back and ill fix it next time you come. Thats not a solution, thats a lost client, no one will come back next time to the same place after your barbar not paying attention to your haircut and tells you he will fix it next time. I was told ali was one of the best barbars there, but i have a different opinion on that.

Worst experience at a barber shop ever.This is coming from a person who has probably never left a bad review as I hate doing that to small businesses.I was visiting Houston and wanted to get a quick hair and beard trim. A local friend told me to see Deya at Alibaba. I booked an appointment for noon.I showed up on time and when I walked in, nobody greeted me.Lesson: Greet your customers.I dont mind as theyre probably busy so I just sat down. I see that Deya is already cutting someones hair. I didnt mind thinking hes probably just wrapping up. I waited for about 15 minutes and still dont see him getting done soon.They have a big TV behind the front desk where all the appointments are displayed. I see the previous one overlapping with mine for a few minutes which means this was most likely a walk in that they entered manually.Another gentleman comes to the front desk and moves my appointment on the calendar down a little. I was on a time crunch and had to be somewhere so I started to get a little impatient but I didnt say anything as I didnt want Deya to rush and mess things up for the customer he was serving.Another barber (not mentioning his name and giving him a chance to improve) tells me that Deya may take a while and he could help me. I was a little upset that my appointment wasnt honored but I wanted to get out asap as I had family waiting in the car. I, being on a time crunch, hesitantly agreed.Major mistake!!! It all goes downhill from thereThe gentleman (lets call him Mr. A) was given instructions to do a high fade with #2 on the side and trim a LITTLE on the top as I like longer hair on the top. The common practice is to ASK. Its not difficult to ask a customer how short or anything to that effect but he gets straight to business. I tried mentioning a couple of things while he was cutting but he kept telling me I know, I am not done yet.Lesson #2: LISTEN to your customerHe gives me a fade which was alright and then starts cutting the hair on top. After hes done with the scissors, he picks up the clipper and starts mowing on top. I have not seen anyone do that but I dont want to hear I know, I am not done once more and keep cringing at what hes doing to my hair.To make a long story short, he absolutely butchered my hair. I was so upset but didnt say anything. When he was done, I told him Its too short on the top. I told you to trim only a little but you kept going without asking. He started justifying that what he did was absolutely right.He was embarrassed and I didnt want to make it any more uncomfortable for him and myself as I still needed my beard trimmed.He asks what needs to be done with the beard, I tell him but it was as if he totally ignored everything I said and just started mowing it with a clipper. I stopped him immediately. It takes a LONG time to grow it out and takes a second to mess it up. Normally, barbers are very careful and they cut very little at a time and usually ask before going any shorter.I tell him again about the length I want and how I want it Tighter on the sides, trim overall, clean the neck and line it up If you dont understand something, you ASK.Damage had already been done so now I was just trying to recover from it and make it look a little less appalling. Towards the end, I just wanted to get up and go out. I was so ready to leave. Mr. A asked me if I was ok, I jokingly said of course, I can manage or something to that effect.The lady at the counter was nice and asked me how my experience was and I shook my head and said ehhh, it was ok and she said not that great?? and I responded Nope! not great.I still paid because I just wanted to leave already as I was late and I had family waiting in the car.I wouldve never charged my customer if they didnt like the service. Thats the least you can do.At the end of the day, not only did I get my hair and beard absolutely destroyed, I had to pay money to do it.

The place is really nice. The place is clean and it smells great. That spray they use on your hair is really fragrant and the staff is easy to talk to. I think the one who gave me my haircut is called Wasim and he gave me a really good haircut. There wasnt any hair pulling or anything that gave me discomfort. It was a really smooth process. Great place and definitely recommended if you are in Sugar Land.
