This is my first on campus apartment and it’s been good living here! The neighborhood is mostly quiet other than dogs barking here and there but you’d get that pretty much anywhere. They have a pool, gym, and clubhouse that has a lot of fun events! The main reason why I came was the rent price. It’s really affordable and still a good clean living space!
Honestly when I first moved to the Renaissance, it took some time for it to grow on me. But now that they have new management, I love it here! They’ve done a complete 180 turn around and they strive to make sure their residents are happy and satisfied! Quick turn around on maintenance requests, friendly staff, great rental rates! I would recommend these apartments to anyone!
The Renaissance is such a great place to live!! It has such a warm environment and an absolute perk is that it’s so close to the stadium! The staff are so sweet and the maintenance is great too! I definitely recommend living here!
Nice rooms. Nice pool and workout area. The people are always nice and really helpful. And it’s all for a low reasonable price.
Just visited yesterday and the staff was so nice! Apartments are amazing! Im moving in on August 8th. I honestly think this is the best place for accessibility to anything a college student needs.
If you want to live in peace this place isn’t the place for you!! They’re always trying to get money out of people. I don’t know I think these people think people are rich. They tried to charge me for washing my garbage can and letting it air dry on the balcony saying it was a lease violation and I would have to pay $35. Also the overage is high!! The internet is horrible!! They place you with anyone literally they don’t go by that roommate match paper!! Take long to fix things!! I was warned not to move to this place but I didn’t listen. Just ghetto!!
The renaissance has been home for me for a while now and i love it so much that i renewed my apartment its close to everything thing on campus two stores that are walking distance and a bunch more the staff is very friendly and anytime something needs to be fixed Mr john is there a couple of minutes later now that’s something you usually don’t see living on campus !! the staff always throws greats events for us to go to and loves to give away prizes i love it and would not move any else any time soon
Staying at the renaissance has been a great experience. the office people are great & always friendly!! i would recommend it to anybody who is moving to Statesboro and is going to school.
Nice apartment and staff. They are friendly and accommodatingPeaceful without noise. we want table tennis at the club house
Good apartment for a college student.Walking distance to the GA Southern Stadium. Great staff and fast maintenance crew.
What I enjoy most about the Renaissance is how interactive they are with their residents. They really make sure to make their residents feel comfortable.
Amazing place! The #1 place I recommend to everyone searching for off campus apartments!!
Everyone at the front desk is helpful and sweet. I had hardly any issues living here.
Its a nice place to live. its very near to the Georgia Southern University (GSU), even anyone can get the best GSU bus service from near the Renaissance apartments. You will also get well furnished apartments so you dont need to buy anything, just bring your bag and start enjoying its amenities. It also has well equipped gym and a nice swimming pool. It also pet friendly and anyone get access to pet play zone anytime. The RAC of GSU is just 5 minutes walking distance so anyone can go there very easily.
I really do love living here. The apartment is awesome and the amenities are nice, they even provide you internet(a little difficult to log into but very strong). Im really surprised to say Ive only seen 1 roach (I actually think it came from my storage unit when I moved in). I saw way more of them when I lived on campus the last few years (there is even a pool and a little gym!), the location is supreme (campus is so close!), and the staff is wonderful (maintenance is a blessing for fixing our dryer and outlets when we moved in with no charge or second thought or anything). The safety of the location is also really good, I feel pretty safe here at night. The payments have never changed for me either, no extra charges, no anything. Just the straight bill and they are happy to explain anything from it :).The only thing I could complain about is the noise level from the other people living there. Now, the walls are thick enough so my roommates and I cant hear the neighbors, which is great. But, every night people drive through BLARING their audio. It wouldnt be so bad if it were just at like 8-10 maybe even 11 pm, but its usually from 10:30 to about 2-3 am at almost every hour. It is worse on weekends.Other than that, I hope to live here for the 2 years left I have of college :).
Don’t live here, extremely bad vibes all around. idek where to start so i’ll just write things as i think of them. we went days without wifi and it wasn’t resolved until i literally emailed the CEO of the wifi provider, the wifi has also just randomly not worked for a while on multiple occasions. we’ve had multiple appliances and cabinets and blinds break randomly, you’ll constantly have maintenance in and out which is pretty annoying. the one good thing i will say is the maintenance people are nice especially John he is friendly and will take care of it quickly. the bathroom grew a ton of mold despite having the fan on constantly, i don’t think the fan actually leads anywhere and that wouldn’t be surprising considering it seems like they built this place as cheaply as possible. i was assured it is not black mold but it’s still gross to look at. i’ve been handed packages that weren’t for me and my roommates and i have had our packages go missing on multiple occasions, whether delivered to the office or our door. they send passive aggressive emails. the pet fee and rent are astronomical, $300 plus $25 pet rent each month which is honestly ridiculous especially if you have a cat who doesn’t cause any damage to warrant that much. the carpets seemed dirty when we moved in and never seem to get all the way clean. super thin walls you can hear everything happening in the building and outside. the clubhouse only has two computers and only one is connected to the printer, on multiple occasions i had to spend like 20 minutes messing with it to get it to work correctly so if you’re not as tech savvy or someone is already in there you’re out of luck. the lighting in the apartment is pretty abysmal and the couches are tiny so trying to make your weirdly large living room and tiny kitchen feel welcoming is a huge challenge. the closets and dressers are tiny and the kitchen has barely enough storage for two people, let alone 3 or 4. just not a good experience all around. there are better apartments with similar prices in the area, don’t stay here just to save a few dollars each month.
This place is horrible! I cannot wait until the lease is up! I warn everyone to stay away from this place! Management is awful! No help for anything!Horrible horrible trash apartment. You better take a picture of everything, they will charge for thing they make up.
I wish I could rate this place negative stars. BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT MOVE HERE! This apartment complex will swindle and finesse you out of every dollar you have. The management ABSOLUTELY does NOT aim to please their tenants. If you love to waste money and don’t like to be respected where you live, move here.
I like living her and Ive been here for almost 3 years. Ive never had a bad experience with maintenance. John is amazing, and Katherine, who works in the office, is amazing too. Shes super sweet and the main person I like dealing with when I have an issue. No place is perfect, but compared to what I hear about other places I think that I made the right choice.
I love living here ! it is literally in the middle of campus you can catch the shuttle and even walk to class if needed ! so no need in buying parking passes the neighborhood is quiet and the staff is amazing ! maintenance always responds fast and always get the job done ! it’s pet friendly with a dog park very affordable great parking!! sign here today you won’t regret it :)
You get what you pay for. That said, the office and maintenance are really great and very helpful. The WiFi is usually reliable but cuts-out at night sometimes. The apartments are alright, but the walls are thin; and if you cook a lot, just be aware that there is limited cabinet and counter space. Washer and dryer work well. Overall a very nice community with a cozy vibe. The proximity to the campus as well as the stadium is super convenient.
Renaissance apartment is honestly a good place to live in. It is the best as at when I was in Georgia southern university. However, they have the habit of not keeping records. I remember signing a 10months lease with them and when I moved out they kept on disturbing my life that I am owning them 2 months rent. Took me to collection despite showing them proof of the email I received when I signed the lease. That mail showed the amount am to pay for each month over the 10 month lease period. It was really a tough time for me dealing with them. My advice is if you are dealing with them make sure you keep your records incase they want to pull stunt in the future.
This complex is very unorganized and unprofessional. They repeatedly overcharged my account with no accountability for their own mistakes. They refused to give any refunds, corporate numbers, or any actual help when dealing with these issues. I’m a sophomore at GSU and this is my first apartment. All of theseI don’t suggest staying here none of the housing looks how it does in pictures or during the tour. They’re are messed up walls and the flooring has gaps and holes. They don’t fix any destruction from previous tenants. There are many pest issues. The leasing office managers are rude and distasteful, with nasty attitudes, and tend to deflect your issues by telling you you’ve been incorrectly informed and their hands are tied that they can’t help.Overall the experience here has been nothing but stressful and as a college student I would say look into staying at the vault or somewhere a bit pricier because paying almost 500 a month to stay here is not worth it whatsoever. Staying on campus in a tiny dorm would be better than this. If I could give less than one star I would.
Was a pretty decent place until they charged me $105 to move out!! 50 of those dollars came from the gym fob missing which was understandable because I missed placed it. The other 55 came from deep cleaning the carpets which I thought was unfair because that’s what the carpet looked like when I moved in. On top of that they told me I was good to go without even inspecting the room! Not a fair charge at all. If you are going to charge people for deep cleaning then you need to put it on the requirements for the move out paper..
It’s fantastic here. The neighbors are nice and easy going. And I feel safe at all times when I’m home. The faculty and staff are pretty cool too.
So I went to look at the apartments with my friends yesterday and the moment we walked on we were treated by a tall bald guy. He told us we couldn’t tour if we didn’t sign and made us feel uncomfortable and awkward. The girl that showed us around was so nice and she new a lot but the guy at the beginning put us off from wanting to live there.
The staff at the Renaissance are extremely warm and amiable. They were so nice and welcoming especially Reyna and Jazz. You feel at home and you can trust their word. Reyna was amazing as my tour guide and is the reason I signed on. Ms Kate is also amazing and checks up on us and our maintenance orders, Packages and over all well being. The staff as a whole throw the best resident evidents to give you the right distraction and fun from the stresses of college. They go the extra mile to ensure your happiness and comfort. You can come to them with any issues and concerns and they will resolve them in a way thats beneficial to you in the long run. By far the best apartment team Ive come across in Statesboro. Great deals and prices. Amazing and prompt maintenance team. They solve maintenance orders within 24 hours are less. The location is right near stadium and campus with path to the stadium parking lot to ensure timeliness. It is a calm and quiet environment and they have a variety of different room styles and selections. Apartments are very clean and if anything is broken or missing, they will happily fix or order you what is necessary. Truly amazing.
Just a quick shoutout to John and Michael. These awesome two -- maintain the internal/external care of the property. With a 24/7 “TO DO LIST” they are sincere, kind, and experts at what they do. They are good neighbors and good people, who provided a helping hand to me. Gentleman Thank you “TRULY” couldnt have done some of my projects and attend school without your help!!
The Renaissance is such a great place to live! They’re always so involved with residents and make living here fun and exciting!
Good place to live, been here a almost 2 years and the distance to GA Southern close and convenient. Best thing about them is the maintenance staff. During this pandemic, they have barely communicated with residents and have done hardly anything to help residents who are having a hard time and aren’t even living at the apartment for safety reasons. They refused to waive online payment fees, and even though I have been here for almost 2 years, they did not provide me with any subsidies with my short term renewal like they would for any other resident. My college graduation date is not something I can control, yet I still get penalized for having a short term lease. Overall being a resident for such a long time, I could no longer easily recommend this apartment complex to anyone.
One of the best place lived in Statesboro. I been here for almost 2 years and still amazing place to live and the best thing is that it is close to the stadium
This company is awful they cheated me and both my roommates out of money on false damage charges and wouldn’t provide evidence. We lived there 3-4 years ago and are just now getting notifications from collections and not from the complex? Rude gossipy and ridiculous staff. It’s like living in a highschool...
I live at The Renaissance for 2 years and it was one of my most favorite apartment complexes. The townhouses are plenty spacious and all of the staff down to maintenance are very helpful and nice. They know all of their residents, & even my dog loved going to see them. The complex always had a laid back vibe and its definitely worth signing.
From what I saw on the tour the place seems really nice. Its secluded and quiet. Lerayna was a very good tour guide and very informative. I love how many event they have, seems like a nice community.
Out of many different apartments that I have looked at the past couple months, the Renaissance is the best one hands-down, and not just because of the great pricing. The location to campus is unbeatable, however, the Renaissance manages to retain it’s own independence. The grounds are well maintained and the inside of the apartments look just as good. The staff seemed well informed, knowledgeable and willing to help. Other residents I have talked to has loved their experience so far. Finally, the Renaissance has been the only apartment willing to let me lease when I wanted to instead of giving me the cold shoulder which was an automatic deal closer. If you are a student at Georgia Southern and want to live off campus, I suggest the Renaissance.
Cool staff except I got the big room it’s really big. Property manager the only issue I’ve had here.
Thank you so much for the warm southern hospitality I received the moment I walked in until the time I left . Nishera was extremely helpful and professional. She is knowledgeable and friendly. I’m currently in a lease right now but this property is definitely one of my top choices. Amazing area. I will always recommend this property.
Jazzmine was so awesome; her radiance was undeniable! She was like a breath of fresh air because of how positive and friendly she is. She had great energy, was polite, and very helpful. She answered every question I had and didn’t mind the time she spent helping me. She was very knowledgeable about the property. I highly recommend working with her with any questions you may have!
Very great customer service. Will work with financial aid students and students who work also! Wonderful place to live with a nice view ;)
The Renaissance has been an amazing place to live these past two years. Honestly, I could go on about it but I’ll stick to what a interested tenant would look for.The unit was great. I’ve live in a 4 bed 2 bath for the past two years and it’s been just what I’ve been looking for. The rooms are the biggest out of all the apartments in Statesboro that I’ve seen and the bathroom is decently sized as well. Each tenant has there own individual sink separate of the bathroom. This really helped in making it feel like you had your own bathroom without the cost haha. The staff here has been absolutely fantastic. They are always helpful and willing to bend over backwards for you if need be. Honestly, they are the only apartment staff in Statesboro that’s actually willing to work with you.Maintenance is on top of it! I’ve never really had any major issues with this unit but any little thing we’ve needed, they’ve always been on top of it. They’ve even mounted our TV for us completely free. Shout out to John, who’s always been a great guy and helped us out. Finally, the most important thing for most college students, is cost. For the size of the unit you are getting, and the quality, you can’t go wrong. The Renaissance often has deals going on as well, so I would heavily recommend leasing her.I could go on about the gym, the pool, or even the weekly event that the Renaissance holds (with FREE food) but in the end all I can say is that I’ve honestly enjoyed my experience here and I believe you will too.Best,Sam
Jazzmine Burley was really nice and helpful. Had one of most positive energy I’ve ever seen. She was always laughing which made feel like she sincerely wanted to help
I would recommend to anyone! Staff is always willing to give a helping hand! and answer any questions you have.
While searching tirelessly for an apartment for next semester, I came across the Renaissance. Lareyna spoke so well about Renaissance living and provided helpful information in a timely manner. She made the process so much easier than the other representatives I spoke with at other apartment complexes. She represents the company well.
Ive lived here at The Renaissance now for two years and I absolutely love it. The staff is amazing and they are willing to work with you on any issue you could possibly have.
Jazzmine Burley is outstanding! She has helped me since day one and has always made sure to help me when I didn’t know what to do next. She made sure to help me choose the right floor plan for me and paired me with great roommates that matched my personality. All together, the Renaissance is my new home, and the front office has become my new family.
The office is always super clean and smells good! The staff here is always so cheerful! I definitely recommend The Renaissance. Take a tour with Jazzmine & I guarantee youll love this place.
Jazzmine and Reyna are very loving and caring people. They are always talking about the Renaissance in a good way. Both of them are always promoting the Renaissance well; they represent the Renaissance well!
The maintenance team is great! They normally fix any issues that you have within a day and they mounted my tv within a few hours of submitting a work request.
The staff is so welcoming and kind and they really make you feel like you are family and right at home. Very peaceful environment
The Renaissance has some bomb events! Every one that I have went to is awesome and the people here are so nice!
Jazzmine is doing doing a wonderful Job she is one of the workers who always help residents get things done with there issues and concerns we really appreciate her hard work...
The Renaissance of Statesboro, Ga is amazing! It is such a relief to walk into a complex, and talk to a staff that really enjoys what they do. They are so knowledgeable, and are truly looking for your best interest in future housing. Not only is the staff fantastic, but the location, amenities, and price makes the Renaissance the perfect place to call home!
As of being a resident here for 10 plus month, I must say the experience has been a great one. The property is maintain in excellent conditions. The staff in the office is awesome. The Renaissance offer great amenities and things to participate in every month. I haven’t had an issue at all. Keep up the great work!
The maintenance and front desk team are super awesome.....the speed with the speed at which they respond to concerns or issues...will recommend anytime anyday👍👌
My daughter and I had an appointment Sunday and our guide was JASMINE. She was awesome, Soooo polite and very knowledgeable of the policies, and even if she wasnt sure she got back with us. We even asked to come back an hour after we left and she was more than happy to show us the apartments again. Her customer service skills are through the roof and I am so glad for my daughter to be moving there. We had 3 different apartments in mind, but she sealed the deal on our second visit there and I dont even think she knows her personality CLOSED THE DEAL for us.
The apartment complex and its staff were extremely friendly and are willing to help you in person with your requests about your apartment suite. There are multiple activities the complex does that encourage residents to go to their club prizes to win prizes, so there is much community involvement, for both residents and staff.
Very nice housing, and very experienced people working all around. I highly recommend!!!
Maintenance is fast and makes sure that the job is done right! They front office is very helpful and assists anything that you need and have answers for any question about the property that you may have! The private gym is nice and the complex itself has improved very much since new ownership had taken over! Keep up the good work and this place will be awesome in no time!
The Renaissance is a clean and affordable apartment complex with a friendly and helpful staff. I definitely recommend The Renaissance for someone looking for off campus living.
Great place to live. The front office is very helpful. Have great costumer service.
Living here isnt that bad but I will say that Jazzmine & Jamie are the best. They always speak & have great energy towards us. The price of living here isnt so bad either.
I love all the events that the renaissance throws! It’s a great place to live :)
Its a great space for students to stay in order to acquire their degrees.
They have a really nice staff and the maintenance is always up to par.
Shout out to John the maintaince Guy. 👏🏾👏🏾I had a flat tire the other day and he John came to the rescue he put air in my tire and gave me some information on where I can get a new tire at a reasonable price.. He was very helpful and friendly.. Thank you John I really appreciate it.
Nice apartment, very helpful staff. There’s always an interesting event going on.
I was told the rooms were newly remodeled, doesnt seem like they did a very good job, I could give a list but I dont want to bash on the place. The staff in the office is friendly and they have added a new gym, which is nice, and the pool is usually clean. I was told there would be BBQ pits, still waiting on those. As far as the pricing goes its a bit expensive for what your going to get. Location is good if your a student here. Im not a student just traveling for work so this was ideal for me.
I love the customer service here! And they always have some good food to eat. LaReyna is great!
It was a great experience to see the open, spacious rooms and seems to be way better living than the in school living
A great place to live the staff is very professional, helpful and polite i recommend this place to all of my friends and family.
I experienced one of the best customer service today at the renaissance. LaReyna Tory helped me in everything I need in order for me to move in as soon as possible! Thank you!
James and Jasmine were super friendly! Had a great interaction with the Renaissance staff and this seems like a great place to live. They seem to really care about their residents and are more than willing to help.
The staff is always so nice and very friendly. Ms. Nishera always goes above and beyond to help, she’s great at her job and you can tell she loves what she does.
Best place to live in the Boro! The staff is extremely friendly and professional. They go above and beyond to help out residents. I love everything about this place. 😍
I lived in the renaissance while in school in statesboro and it’s great! The whole staff is awesome and they will help you with anything you need! The rent price is very low but the quality of the apartments are great!
These apartments are greatly priced and very spacious; however, I would not recommend this place to anyone. My air conditioning has been broke for over a month and has yet to get fixed. I have been soooooo nice about asking them to fix it and they always say someone is going over to do it but it has yet to get done. I pay rent on time every month and just expect better treatment than this. I paid rent for the month of August but havent stayed in my place since July because it is just too hot. I shouldnt have to pay rent at a place that I cant even stay in. Its really ridiculous. The staff is fairly friendly but arent holding up their end of the bargain. August is the hottest month of the year and it is unacceptable to have tenants without air. I have also been told that I was going to move into a renovated unit over a month ago and the dates keep getting pushed back. I packed my things in this hot apartment just for them to keep telling me the unit isnt ready yet. Im really just venting now but all of this is quite ridiculous and I just shouldnt be paying for a place I cant stay in.
This is by far the worst apartment complex in Statesboro. The staff is mean, argumentative, do what they want and enforce only rules that benefit them in some way. A lot of the staff lives here on the property and they are rude, do what they want, but then tell the residents that they arent allowed to do what they do because they have special privileges for working here. Roaches are a huge issue, drugs are a huge issue too. This place is terrible. Please do NOT live here. There are so many other great places you can live. I wonder if the high reviews are the staff making fake reviews because if you talk to the real residents you will quickly find out that none of them like it here. Most people are stuck in leases and are moving out as soon as their lease is up. Stay far away from this property, please. If you are looking for a place for your son, or daughter to live, please do not send them here. This is not a safe property.
The matinence men are hands down the best aspect of the Renaissance Apartments!!! They are exceptional at making sure everything in your apartment is functioning properly and you are living comfortably. Thank you to them for making my stay here a little more bearable!
Had a great time. Lovely hospitality.
Lareyna was so helpful when I called to ask multiple questions about the property. She was more then happy to inform about all of the in and outs!
Not exactly the safest part of the city, not the best-looking and best-kept complex, and theres a bit of a roach problem (what else is new), but its pretty good for the price, I guess. Maintenance guys are chill, the place is biking distance to campus, and all the electronics and plumbing work pretty well. Good for if youre on a budget and need a decent place to stay off-campus.
I saw jasmine and Jamie come through with important information! We appreciate what they do!
Alright apartments, though way too expensive for you get. Living area is decent size, great for parties besides the pretty thin walls. Our apartment had/has bugs all in the kitchen and a few in the rooms. The bug guy has already come to spray, but the bugs keep coming. When we moved in, the place was newly renovated. The oven, which is the cheapest model possible, had no racks in it, the kitchen counter was chipped, the backdoor was super spaced, and there is no microwave. My bathroom was horrible; dust and hair everywhere. My drain in the tub was clogged and the fan is super loud. The carpets were vacuumed at most, definitely not steamed. Marks on the walls and horrible painting done on the place. Some rooms are huge, some rooms are tiny. Just hope for the best. Also, the people here can be really loud and dont care about keeping the noise down at all. However, it is close to campus, the stadium, and a gas station. I would recommend somewhere else though.
Upon entry, I felt welcomed and important. The staff are really nice. Shoutout to Jazzmine for being so helpful and knowledgeable! She really made coming to Renaissance Aparments worth it! The amenities are awesome and the apartments are nice and comfy. Would definitely recommend!!
The energy I received upon entering Renaissance’s environment was very positive & contagious, I highly recommend speaking to Jazzmine, she provided great insight on the property with much class & enthusiasm.
I highly recommend anybody looking for somewhere to live to check this place out and I garantee you will find this place amazing
Great apartments! Great staff! The rooms look amazing and they have awesome deals. Make sure you know everything thats included before signing!
The maintenance man Issac is amazing! When ever something needs to be fixed he’s on it! Very nice and a great addition to the renaissance staff!
Issac is the man most helpful maintenance guy i’ve ever had 10/10 would recommend living here
The maintenance guy John is extremely friendly and always willing to help. He does a great job the first time. Always ask for him
Great service by Jazzmine and L! Really enjoyed the games about GSU. And learned what The Renaissance has to offer to me.
James and Dendrick were so nice to me when I came to tour. They explained everything and made me consider staying here. I love the pool!
The good:-kind people willing to work with you if there is an issue and for the most part are reasonable and understanding. There are lots of problems in the neighborhood but they will work with you. Just talk to them. The bad:-The neighborhood is in a rebuilding process so there are still issues that need to be taken care of. The buldings have issues, some have bug problems and the big rooms in the suites are hotter than the other rooms. But to be fair the vast majority of the issues in the neighborhood are not due to current management, but were handed to them by previous management.
I got some free stuff from Raina and Jazzmin. Cool people!!
Jazzmine is the best office staff member! She’s very friendly and always has a treat for you!
Jazzmine was passing out popsicles with a beautiful smile and gave us info about the apartments!!
A great apartment complex. Lived here two years and don’t regret leasing here.
Looking for a place on campus this is probably the best place to stay the only downfall would be I say the Renaissance could do a little better with their prices or maybe offer more discounts
They are so nice and always available!
The Cove at Southern... Yes, Ive lived here. The reviews are not accurate but close.I will give you point and facts why I have an issue this complex.Spring semester I signed a Financial Aid contract to from January to pay it up to May. They charged me late fees for something I already paid for on Junes rent because they said we owed half of Mays rent.Overages their were fair I thought, but they didnt let you know how they determined it.The pest control was horrible and when I moved in they had roaches every where from previous tenants and a nasty, dingy, musty carpet. They have a dog park but none of the feces seemed to remain their. I walk to class, so you have to mind where you walk. The owners dont pick it up!Its a loud and boisterous neighborhood. I see it as the In place on the weekends and homecoming, so its hard to study over the noise. The internet ran fairly well.Pool is 24/7 but they need to clean it up a little more. All and all nothing perfect, but for what we pay I feel it could be better
