This is the best place I’ve rented from and we plan to stay longer while we’re saving for a house. The staff at the front and all the way to maintenance are amazing and move in a timely fashion!! Honestly, after my previous living situation, moving to Hendley was like a breath of fresh air. Everyone at the office always extends the warmest welcomes and makes me and my roommate feel right at home upon any visit. I have had little to no skirmishes with them, and any issue has been handled promptly between myself and those at the office with no problem once so ever. I am grateful for their responsiveness and help and would strongly recommend anyone looking for a place in Statesboro to try Hendley. Happy to be moving to a new unit (still with them) next month!

The staff is absolutely fantastic my only qualms is with their financial manager. We reached a situation where a roommate was a bit short on rent for a month. The financial manager told me I had an accredit to my account because I was paying ahead of time even though me and another roommate were paying together on a joint lease separate from my other two roommates. So I was informed I could use my credit to catch my roommate up on rent which I verified multiple times and still have in email that the credit was in my name and not my joint account roommates name. Fast forward two months the credit was for my joint account roommate which took from my other roommate which put us forward to be sent to the magistrate court but when we tried to verify we were told We cant know for sure where the credit came from in the joint account. Once again the staff is phenomenal but the financial manager shouldnt play touch and go with these things.

The best staff and friendliest agents in town! Never had any issues with maintenance or pest control. I had a dryer issue when we moved in, Alex Gomez had someone out within the hour! Definitely recommend them to everyone I know!

My apartment is very well kept up and any issues that come up get fixed very quickly. Alex and Chris at the office are also some of the most professional and dedicated people I have met. Ever since my boyfriend and I were searching for a place in statesboro, Hendley has been so helpful. The first apartment we wanted wasn’t available but then they hooked us up with the next best thing. When there’s a problem they are always sure to get it fixed usually within the day. The office staff is super friendly and awesome especially Samantha and Alex! They are also super reasonably priced. It’s really hard to find anything for the same price and quality they have. I will definitely be renting with them until I’m ready to purchase my own home. There’s also occasionally a really cute Australian Shepard leasing agent that greets everyone happily and puts a smile on their face.

Lived here at Hawthorne last year at the high recommendation of a friend and we both got to watch the conditions of the place fall into disarray. Office staff is nice but unaware of the many issues with the quality and functionality of the duplexes. Maintenance personnel seem understaffed but while competent clearly show no care about the quality of their work. In review I would not recommend this place to a friend.

I have lived at 2 properties owned by Hendley and both have had DISGUSTING roach infestations. With both locations I informed the front office multiple times and while they did send pest control, it had no affect on the roach problem. I can’t cook in my own kitchen because if left unattended for even a second roaches will crawl over the food.

Listen it’s not Hendley property it self. The guys at the office is amazing and the places are amazing. It’s just their financial management April is just terrible and needs to get checked. She doesn’t know what she is doing and will shift blame to people at the office. She also doesn’t answer the questions that need to be answer and if you are on an auto draft and pay in advance she will still take money out your bank and even if you notify them she will still take the money. She tried to charge my roommate full Month of rent when he paid off cause he was short 2$. Take credits from other account and takes them back and makes you behind on rent and threatens to take you to court and make you pay the court fees. She’s very unprofessional and made living at Hendley hell on earth. Also when I ask for new properties from her. She never responds back but she will try to hound for rent money that is paid off. She just unorganized and unprofessional and be weary when moving here.

Truly such an amazing place and even better staff. everyone in the office is beyond kind and understanding, i couldn’t recommend this place more! they did so much to help me when i was homeless and gave me the support that i truly needed. i felt so comfortable to talk about the rough situation that i was in and they did more than enough to both comfort me and help me. the whole time i was there i never had any major issues with anything. maintenance was always timely and when our washer went out it got replaced the immediate next day, when i had an issue with the previous tenant staff immediately changed the locks that day too. i always felt safe and that my concerns would be addressed immediately. i’m going to miss my first apartment so much. thank you hendley staff and especially alex for being so awesome

My family and I moved to the Statesboro area in about April 2019 timeframe. We ran across Hendley Properties while searching for our home to rent for the next couple of years. We went inside to the office and the staff was on it and made the process easy. The staff is great and always very professional and even takes the time to greet their clients by their name! If there is any issue about maintenance it only takes one call and they have someone on it quick, fast and a hurry. Every chance I get I recommend them to others when people are mentioning rental companies or property management in the Statesboro area. I even have their hat on my desk! By far one of the better rental companies we ever dealt with !!

Ginny Rushing advertised a home on Facebook which I inquired about via email. Ginny and I emailed back and forth several times and we ended up setting an appointment time for us to come and see the house. In the meantime I discovered the house in question is currently pending sale, which seemed oddly coincidental. On the day of our appointment we drove 1.5 hours to Statesboro, and arrived at the leasing office as planned. Upon entry to the leasing office, my husband was greeted by Alex Gomez who informed us that the house had been leased. Alex said they couldnt inform us that the house has been leased because they didnt have our contact information, which is obviously inaccurate because all communication had been done through email. Alex smoothly gave us a business card with an address to a house that WAS available, should we be interested. The whole thing was a collosal waste of time and we got the impression that unethical business practices are utilized at Hendley Properties.

Hendley is a great place to live, the office works with you and is very quick and friendly to help solve any issues you may have!

Do not care about residents concerns and safety. we had an illegal tenant in our unit, made multiple reports, and nothing was done until about a month and a half later. she threatened another roommate and i, keyed our cars, confronted us in our home (which she was not signed to) and they let her move 2 units down. that’s HIGHLY unprofessional and i will most definitely not be signing here again. if you care about your safety as well as others, don’t sign here. clearly they don’t play by their lease.

Hendley Properties has been the absolute best renting experience. From the moment I first walked in and was taken on a tour of properties that fit what I needed to moving out. The last almost two years has been amazing and I’m sad to leave. They are by far the greatest and exceed customer service. When or if I ever had an issue with maintenance with the unit they were on it however, this was never needed really because the upkeep of the property is perfection. 6 Years- that’s how long I’ve lived in Statesboro. I’ve lived at SEVERAL of the student housing options all around Statesboro. When I tell you Hendley Properties is the BEST, you can trust it. It isn’t limited to a single one of their properties either, I’ve lived at 2 and the experience at both has been top-tier.They have been so accommodating and reasonable when it comes to anything regarding their properties. They are quick to fix issues and address problems. I won’t lie, my biggest issue living there has been my air conditioning going out one time, it took a couple of tries to fix it. This was obviously at no fault of the property itself though, that doesn’t change the fact that it can be aggravating BUT the maintenance team was unmatched. The maintenance supervisor was there within 10 minutes when I called at like 3 A.M..... you can’t tell me that this level of dedication to providing a superior living arrangement for students/young professionals is matched ANYWHERE ELSE.The pools are by far the cleanest in Statesboro and I’ve personally witnessed them making improvements to each one EVERY YEAR.The staff in their offices aren’t just random people who answer calls and make sure your rent is payed- they become your friends. They’ve managed to hire staff members that become friends to every single person that lives here- these people will meet you at the pool in summer to hang out, invite you to trivia at local restaurants, and give you a hand when you need one. I took my dining room table outside one day to refinish, I was offered help by one of the staff members just minutes after I started. I declined the help, but that didn’t change the care they had for me the rest of the day. As it grew hotter, they kept checking on me and offering help. This was after working hours- not to mention this whole time they were working outside around the office.Going the extra mile is customary for Hendley Properties. They are a family owned/operated business, but they give that a whole new meaning- they make YOU feel like family.

I have been with Hendley for 2 years now. For every issue I’ve had they’ve always came through with immediate help. They’ve always had me and my family’s best interest at heart. Over the past week we have had our first real maintenance issues after almost a year of living here and we could not be more impressed with the way the staff has handled them! Early last week our A/C went out late afternoon and 30 minutes after I called someone was here to fix it. Then we noticed a leak in our fridge and I put in an online request and 10 minutes later got a call about what the problem could be and when they’d be by to fix it. They came the next morning and the problem was fixed in less than 10 minutes. I understand that this is a very busy time of year for a rental company with moves out coming soon, not to mention the current situation in our world. We appreciate the staff and their hard work so much and could not have picked a better place to live. If youre looking for a new place to live, Henley Proprieties are your people.

Living with Hendley Properties has been a great experience, our a/c unit blew out on us during the warmer months and it just so happened to be on a Sunday. The maintenance crew worked diligently to make sure we were comfortable in our home with portable a/c units to cool down the house THAT DAY. i would highly suggest living here with affordable rent, friendly neighbors and staff. you just cant beat it.

I have lived in the same one bedroom house at their Planters Row property for 3 years. My house is connected to another one bedroom house. My dad and I always talk about how lucky I was to find this place when I moved here. I officially have to move in July and I am very sad about it. I lived with Hendley for three years, staying in the same house the entire time. I even ended up working for them for over a year during my time as a student. Since then, Ive worked for two other management groups. Let me tell you... Putting in work orders, requesting info on billing, and any questions you may have is easy - theres no jumping through hoops like there is with a lot of other groups in the area. The leasing approach is direct, honest, and thorough. The lease itself is comprehensive but easy to follow. Communication with residents is transparent and timely - apply with an email you check regularly and download the app & youll never miss a beat. The entire staff makes themselves incredibly available to residents and prospective residents - this is unlike anywhere else in the area. Read your lease, provide accurate contact info, dont act a fool, and your life will be a breeze living with them. I wish I never had to graduate and could live/work there forever!

Ive had to travel often due to my type of work and therefore have rented often. Ive been unhappy with most places I rent from and have found they will always try and get more money from me. I did not have such experience with Hendley Properties. I rented from them for two years and they were always friendly, easy to get in touch with and happy to help. They are transparent from the start and tell you exactly how much they will charge when you move out. They wont try to nickel and dime you. Very fair people!

I rented with Hendley Properties for 3 years. There service is great, property managers are very accommodating, and the maintenance staff is responsive. Pest control is included with the price to that is a huge plus! The property manager is onsite 5 days a week if you live in Planters Row or Greenbriar which is a huge advantage.

I have been renting from Hendley Properties for two years now and have loved it! The staff is very helpful, friendly and personable. They are building many one bedroom/duplex communities (which Statesboro needs) downtown, making it a much nicer area than it has been. I first lived in a year-old (at the time) Village at Midtown apartment/duplex and it was SO nice (low utilities, beautiful finishes, huge bathroom and closet, great location to town and school). Now, I live in Greenbriar which is not as new, but very homey (has a fireplace and two stories) and still a great location (minus the hospital). Their maintenance staff is great. Its never taken more than a day or two from the time I put in a request to the time its taken care of. Ive absolutely loved living at Hendley Properties. I recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay. They have many options (locations and number of bedrooms), great prices, and the best staff for sure! My only disappointment has been the move-in/move-out process. Since all moving tenants must be out the same day, its very rushed (minimal cleaning and quick/careless repairs) and allows for zero leeway on move-out date (moving out of state and have a 2 day gap in time before I can move in new residence). However, this is an issue in most student housing and my positive experience outweighs these issues. I LOVE Hendley Properties and really wish I could bring them to FL with me!

Ive lived with Hendley Properties for 3 years in both Hawthorne and Greenbriar. The properties are so well kept, and the maintenance is always quick to respond if you do come across an issue. I wouldnt want to live anywhere else in Statesboro!

I wish I could give them less than one star because they dont even deserve one. I would like people know how horrible my experience was. I sincerely think these people do not know how to run a housing company. I also think that all they care about is getting their money from college students who are just trying to get a education.We had problems with them from the very beginning. They kept loosing important papers. They never showed us the actual house that we signed for, so we moved into the dumpiest house they had, without warning. They never fixed anything we told them to fix. They collected $200 from me and each of my roommates, a total of $800, to clean and paint walls. We moved in and nothing was done. The second lease we signed, they told us the wrong monthly rent amount to put on the lease, so of course they made us pay the difference when it was their mistake.We signed a joint lease without them explaining to us what it is, meaning if someone doesnt pay than the other tenets are responsible. One of my roommates stopped paying her rent, so me and another roommate had to pay. After we refused to pay, they threatened to send me and other roommate to collections, which will ruin our credit forever, even though we payed our rent on time each month for two years. Luckily, It didnt come to any of that.We thankfully got the opportunity to move out and I thought that I would never have to hear from them again, but I was wrong.They still contact us for more money. We also payed for rent when we werent living their because they wouldnt refund us, meaning for 2 weeks other tenets got to live rent free. THEN, they mistakenly charge us for another months rent because they cant get their stuff together.In my opinion, do not go anywhere near Hendley Properties locations.

Hendley Properties is awesome! Administration is extremely friendly and always eager to help. I have lived with Hendley Properties for three years and never had an issue with anybody or anything. Maintenance is great! I have only had to call them a few times and each time theyve shown up within 1.5 days to fix the issue. Rates are very competitive, especially for the space you get with your apartment. Also, if you resign with them, you do not have to move out until your unit for the following year is ready and you would not believe how stress-relieving that is! Everybody there makes you feel like family and it really impacts your experience throughout your college career. Sad that I only have one year left, but I definitely look forward to keeping in touch! I would absolutely recommend to anyone!

We have yet to have an issue that has not been resolved in a timely manner. The apartments are nice, roomy. And well kept. The appliances are updated as well. I have already signed my lease for the next year! I want to continue to stay any where Hendley Properties owns.

Anytime I submit a maintenance request, its always completed with 48 hours, but usually that same day. The office staff is helpful and very accommodating to mine and my roommates needs. The prices are very reasonable, and well worth the money. They allowed me to move-in early, with little-to-no notice, without charging me any additional rent or fees in the first house I moved into out here. For being older houses, theyre still some of the nicest student housing options Ive seen. Ive never once questioned my safety and the sheriffs office does patrol on occasion, which makes us feel even safer. Its without a doubt my home away from home!

Ive lived with Hendley Properties since 2010 in various properties. While some of their properties are older homes, they do a fantastic job of updating and keeping the spaces looking great! The office staff is very helpful and friendly! Ive had the best experiences with property rental staff from this group!

First of all Hawthorne is awesome! The rent is at a great rate! The lowest in all of Statesboro I believe. The people who work in the office are so sweet, and know me on a first name basis. They really care, and dont treat you like just a number in a system. Whenever something is broken maintenance is there to fix it. They show up pronto and with a great attitude! Hawthorne is great!

If I could give more stars, I would! The Hendley Properties team are wonderful! My boyfriend will be going (just signed a new lease) on his third year living with them in June/July, and I sadly will be leaving in December after a yearish. I only have positive things to state.Maintenance was always prompt and courteous. One of the most impressive feats was when our old AC unit died, I made a request at 12:08 AM, and the maintenance team was there at 8:00 AM the same day. The office staff was also very courteous and professional. At one point, our neighbors just moved in were being hostile. After alerting the office staff, the office manager personally visited them to rectify the situation.

Great friendly staff!! Lived there for 2 years because it was such a great place to live. Maintenance was timely. They take care of everything for you, appliance maintenance, spray for bugs, replace lighting, etc. Best place to live for sure!

Best around rental housing Im the market. Lived with them for two years and Id still be with them if I wasnt leaving. I always found the office staff to be helpful and friendly. What few maintenance issues there were, were always resolved in a timely manner. Dont know what else to ask for. I think the stars speak for themselves

I lived in a 1 bedroom duplex for three years. Best apartment I have ever lived in! Was affordable, included a washer and dryer, plenty of space to walk my dog, pet friendly, quiet, and close to campus.

Im living here right now. The landlords are friendly and get issues fixed quickly. The house is really nice, barring a few minor wierdnesses with the layout, and they just installed street lights out in the parking so its nice and well-lit. Im really happy living here and may well do so the rest of my time at college.
