All of the five star reviews are not an exaggeration. This is an excellent community in which to live for many reasons. To list just a few: management is great and really responsive, the size of the units is large for the price, the location is ideal, especially if you enjoy nature, and the neighbors are nice, providing an overall peaceful atmosphere. I lived there for four years with my wife and would have stayed longer if we didnt have to move for work. Consider living here if it is within your budget and fits your needs.
The first time I moved to Coopers Pond was in 1989. I stayed for 14 years. The second time was 11 years later in 2013 when I moved back to the area. I was very happy to find an available townhouse. One of the major attractions is the courtyard design of the townhouses. They give you a sense of community without loosing your personal sense of privacy. Also, the location, woody and open, is beautiful all year round. The town homes with their personal patios have all the amenities you need for up-to-date living and are well taken care off by a professional and capable engineering and grounds group. You are close to everything you need-5 to10 minutes for the most part, and you feel at home here in Coopers Pond. It has been an excellent living choice. Check in at the office for a kind and very helpful welcome to Coopers Pond.
This is hands down one of my favorite places I have lived. I wish that I didnt have to move for my job!Pros: the townhomes are extremely spacious, with both a living room and a family room. The management and maintenance are the most responsive I have ever seen. The townhomes have great sound insulation, so you never hear your neighbors. Paying your rent/security deposit online is the easiest thing I have ever done. When it snows, the grounds keepers are very quick to plow the parking lots and shovel the walkways, and when my car got stuck on ice they helped me get it out. Parking is free for residents and guests.Cons: every year there is a swarm of stink bugs, but not too many of them make it inside. Due to fire hazard, you arent allowed to use a charcoal grill or fire pit in the back patio.Definitely consider living here! I am sad to be moving out of State College and that I did not move here sooner, I am really going to miss this complex.
We have truly enjoyed the last 10 years as residents of Coopers Pond. Michele, Director of Property Management, is very responsive to requests. The maintenance staff is always courteous and helpful. At times it seems like they show up at the door to handle a request before we hang up the phone! Our townhouse, which backs up to the game lands is comfortable and the floor plan is ideal for entertaining and family holiday gatherings. We especially enjoy our fenced in and private patio during the warm weather. There is ample parking and the bus stop is conveniently located at the entrance to the parking lot.
When my wife and I first moved to Coopers Pond 9 years ago, we didnt expect to stay. However, we fell in love with the area and our home. The staff and workers are friendly, fast, efficient, and reliable. Just outside Coopers Pond is the Toftrees game land, and by a remarkably short walk, people have easy access to open areas of nature, including a State College birding hotspot. (Dogs are welcome at Cooper’s Pond and love being walked in the game land.) It’s glorious living here, by day or night.
The staff in the Office are exceptional.
