Absolutely fantastic company. Were very satisfied with the work. They installed a tankless water heater, furnace and ac. They installed all of those things in a very old house, which Im sure wasnt simple or easy. Perfectly executed, however. Professional, efficient and competent. Prices were very competitive. Paul came in an emergency to fix my broken AC during this brutal heat wave. He was professional, personal, and punctual. I appreciated his thoroughness and explanation of what he was doing. He was happy to answer any questions I had during the service appointment. Needless to say, I am thankful to have a cooler house for my wife and kids to live in. I can’t even begin to express how happy I am with HVAC1’s service. We had them tackle an install we thought was going to be impossible and they were able to deliver. Seminik HVAC was very quick and responsive to diagnosing our office system. In this Heat Wave we had had our system burnt up and completely stopped working. Paul had a crew come out the very next day with parts and within 4 hours we were running back on schedule with A/C. Thank you for the excellent work and will be using again if needed.

First of all we have been a client of Semenik HVAC for several years. They were knowledgeable of the health problems within our home from their past visits. We called them in because of a problem with one of our two heat pumps freezing up. They came out, serviced the unit, got it working fine. They warned us that the unit was going to give us further problems it was technically beyond repairs. Within a day, the problem returned. We called, they advised us that the unit was going to have to be replaced. It would take at least three weeks before they could obtain a unit and do so. Within 24 hours they called back and advised us that they were getting a unit to replace ours and would be here in the next couple of days. They were here in two days and installed the new unit. They even stayed till 10 P.M. to make sure we had AC. They were extremely knowledgeable, professional, friendly and helpful. There work was neat and orderly. Cant say I have ever been so disappointed with a company. I had a scheduled appointment, received a cryptic text message the day before my scheduled appt saying the techs van broke down so he may be late for his appointment the next day. I received a text message 30 minute after he was scheduled to arrive indicating he will not make it and suggested I call someone else because they are booked for the next 3 weeks. Why would I go out three weeks when I was scheduled and for no fault of mine, was cancelled? Needless to say, if this is how they operate, it raises questions on the potential for bigger problems.

Installed our system 2 years ago. Great all around including price. This year furnace quit working and when the repairman came out he advised that the filter needed to be replaced. I’m a recent widow and my husband used to handle this. The repairman was so nice and educated me on when and what filter to use. This is quality hometown service at its best.

One of my rentals needed a new furnace after a cracked heat exchanger. I obtained several quotes, HVAC1 was the best price, highest rating for overall service and easiest to work with. The reviews I read previously gave me confidence they would do a good job at a fair price. My tenants were extremely happy with the installers who were friendly, cleaned up after any mess and took the time to show them how to use the new thermostat. This is a great team. Paul was quick to find out the very best product for our house. He noted that the system we were replacing was a 100k BTU system but was only 85% efficient. By providing an 80k BTU at 95% efficiency he was able to provide the same capabilities to our home and save us money. 5 stars well earned.

Spokane WA had 103F last week and our 28 year old AC quit. After a bit of diagnosis, it was clear the compressor was seized. Phoned Paul at 5:20pm that evening and he provided a very fair quote by 7:30pm the same evening! We accepted and HVAC1 installed a new furnace and R410 AC system within 4 working days. His technician Mike did a very sanitary job plumbing the equipment and the ductwork and connections are top notch. Would use HVAC1 again in a minute. Thanks Paul!

Paul and the Semenik crew did a fantastic job on our HVAC and furnace installation. His team was timely, professional and did a great overall job. Our home had electric panel heating and our electricity bills were around $400. We just got our first bill on the new system and it was $35. I would recommend Semenik for these type of projects!

They did a great job at a reasonable price when my pilot light went out. We had tried another contractor that charged a lot but didnt fix it. Semenik did it right and charged less. I used them again recently to service my furnace and was very pleased. Id recommend to anyone (and I have recommended them several times to my friends).

Let me preface this review with fact that HVAC1 did not win the bid to install a central AC in my home. This is my experience with the inspection for a quote. We reached out for a quote to HVAC1 because of their glowing reviews and they offer a Veterans Discount, furthermore we were impressed that they sent someone out the same day to do the quote. The tech (V.) showed up in a marked work truck (rarer than you might expect in my experience) was friendly and seemed very knowledgeable, he looked at everything I expected him to look at, identified the complications I already knew and explained their whole process succinctly. This is when my experience became less agreeable, first he seemed really reluctant to take a AC job on in summer (I understand it’s the busy season) and really tried to convince me to wait until September to October (their slow season) to do the install, the day he came out it was 96 outside and 90 in my house, needless to say I wasn’t interested in waiting 3 months. Before he left, he gave me a vague “off the top of his head estimate”, if accurate, it was hands down the best value I had been quoted so far, however I am not willing to commit to $4-8K install without an official written quote so I asked him to email a quote for AC only and AC+HE Furnace as we were still undecided which we were going to do, he said that would be no problem and he would ask the ‘boss’ about possible bundle deals when we got back to the shop. 3 days later, no quote. I called and left messages twice and emailed once over the next couple days, no one answered the phone, no one ever called back, no one replied to my emails, its now 3 weeks later and they still have never reached back out me. As I never received the official quote from HVAC1 or could even get a hold of them they clearly lost the bid and I went with a competitor. Its too bad, they seemed promising and maybe they are a great company, but their customer service needs a lot of work.

Paul and his company did an exceptional job! We had our furnace, ac and ductwork all repalced into our older home. They were always on time, stayed late and completed items the way you wanted. If there was ever a problem they would be right back out to fix it. Ive worked with other companies in town in the past and they are by far the best! I would strongly reccomend Semenik Hvac!

We had Semenik HVAC work on our very large addition for a new heat pump and integrating multiple different and complicated systems to the old part of the house. First, Paul was quick to respond to come assess our situation. talking to him was like talking to your neighbor rather than a company personelle. He was very easy to talk to and knowledgeable about everything we were hoping to accomplish. He gave us quote that was more than reasonable and an accurate timeline of when the work would start, how long it would take etc. The technicians that were out were all very competent, professional, and hardworking people that were always on time (or would let you know if they werent able to make it on time due to an emergency call). Its been a year since they worked on our house and Im happy to report everything has been running perfectly. There were a few times when we would give them a call for questions or concerns and they addressed it right away. We had our heater go out a few nights ago on one of the coldest nights of the year. These guys were the quickest to respond to my initial call and deliver. From start to finish they were the most thorough, kind and knowledgeable company weve worked with when it comes to our furnace. Our first tech, Vitali went out of his way to bring us space heaters, which was so unexpected and appreciated. We ended up replacing our unit which was an all day job the following day. He had a crew of four young hard working guys here Tuesday morning just like he said he would.The guys worked late on Tuesday and returned Wednesday to finish the job. We havent hired Semenik yet; that step in our project is a long way off. However, I wanted to give them 5 stars right now because Paul gave me the time of day. We have a huge building project ahead of us, and because its in the very preliminary stages (floorplan and permitting), very few HVAC companies will even give me the time of day. Paul returned my call fast and generously shared his knowledge. By the end of the call, I knew he knew how to design an efficient, cost-effective, balanced, properly sized heating and cooling system in my home. No others had mentioned balance, efficiency, or proper sizing. No others had given so readily of their time and expertise, which makes my job in the early planning stages so much easier. I didnt even know what to ask and Paul helped me feel like I had eventually covered all the bases to make my job -- and his job probably in the future -- easier. That saves me angst and MONEY, now and in the long run. Just due to my initial phone consultation, Semenik is now leading by several steps over the competition in who Im likely to hire for the big job. Ill update this if I end up hiring him, probably within 12 months.

We had them come out to charge our ductless ac unit and we were very pleased with this company. They have one of the best customer service I have dealt with in a long time. They will be the only HVAC company I will call.

Our A/C stopped working at 8:30 pm so we called Semenik HVAC which to our surprise they answered the phone this time of night. In October when winter showed up our 50 year old furnace dumped: I called Paul who had his tech come out that same day to look at it. Bottom line we needed a new furnace. Tuesday I set up an appointment for a HVAC System Quote for Friday between noon and 1 pm. I received a call at 12:32 pm from an associate saying that the rep was running 30 minutes late. At 1:57 pm I tried to contact the rep and was only able to leave a message and did the same again at 2:24 pm. It is now 3:10 pm and no one had the professionalism to return my call to give me an update on being late or trying to possibly reschedule the appointment. I really hope this the only and last negative review for what seems like standout and stellar track record--of course this is one of the reasons why I called this particular HVAC company.Not a good first impression for me!Update: Paul the estimator was late but finally showed -- communication issues. Very pleasant personality even though I told him I just left a negative review. I decided to adjust my review from 1 to 3 stars.

The job went smoothly from start to finish. Company provided a prompt and accurate estimate, that was sensitive to my needs and buget. Scheduling was tailored to my needs and time constraints. The workers were skilled, courteous and professional. The workers kept me informed of progress step by step, and the job was finished on time. Communication with the company went smoothly. They were easy to reach and responsive. The workers were meticulously neat. When the job was finished, there was no evidence that construction had taken place! I highly recommend this company.

By far my best experience with an HVAC tech. He had my best interests in mind. He gave me all the options for my situation and gave me his recomended cost effective solutions. Paul does HVAC for all my rental properties, have used him for over two years and there has not been a problem with repairing any of the furnaces or a air-conditioners also the prices are competitive and they have a knowledgable crew. For example I own a 3000 square-foot home which I had Semenik HVAC replace the furnace on and the labor cost for the replacement or a lower then any other competitors in town. But quality is outstanding. His crew is leaner and doesnt have a huge overhead.

If there were more stars i would give them. Paul and his team were timely, professional, cost-effective, and responsive with both a new furnace install and a new gas hot water heater install. I shopped around a bit, and what i found was most big HVAC companies here in Spokane WA will lie to you and tell you that there is a crack in your heat exchanger, theres danger of carbon monoxide, and condemn your furnace in attempts to charge you thousands more. We were able to identify that this was a flat out lie. Pauls knowledge, research, and honesty saved me over half the price from the big national companies here in town.
