I cant give them a higher review! We had someone come look at our AC for our house as we are going to be moving soon. That technician while inspecting the unit pulled out the wire to the compressor. (Not sure if it was accidental or intentional) but they came back to me and told me the compressor was shot and I would have to replace our entire HVAC system. 1 week before we are set to move!!After giving Ameritrue a call he was able to come to my house within 2 hours of calling and immediately identified the problem and fixed it. Everything was returned to normal and our AC is running perfectly. We are all set to move now and we dont have to fork over 10K to fix the HVAC system.

They came and actually DIAGNOSED our problem (as opposed to just offering a complete and ridiculously expensive overhaul of our whole system, which 2 other companies did) and did a quick fix then so we werent stranded without AC for a month.Then they came and rebuilt a whole duct to be way more functional. They did a great job and even let my 3-year-old assist with a flashlight. They left things clean and were very respectful and unobtrusive. We loved their service!

These guys have saved us twice now. Once when our heat wasn’t working and the other when our AC wasn’t working. They are always so responsive and can get to us within a few hours. When our heat wasn’t working, he found the problem quickly and got us a replacement part that same day. When our AC issue was just a flipped breaker, he didn’t even charge us the normal drop in fee. So amazing, efficient, and honest. These guys have our business for life.

I had an AC unit installed 2 years ago by Ameritrue. Since then we have had several issues. We have called them out for services several times. Jim has been the one I have dealt with every time. Each time I have been home alone. I ask a lot of questions because I know nothing about AC units. Jim has gotten very impatient with me. He has told me several times that there is nothing wrong with the AC unit and it is all my fault for running the ac with it being under 75 degrees outside, and having it set to 69 degrees on the thermostat. This year the ac wasnt working the first time we turned it on for the hot season. I called and asked for a service check. they told me he would be there between 3 and 5. I explained to them I needed to get my daughter from preschool a little before 3 and I would be home by 3:15. I asked if I could get a 30-minute heads up just in case. I had left the house at 2. I received a call from Jim saying he was at my house and asking why I was not home. I told him my son was having a meltdown and so we left early to go get my daughter so I could be back by 3. I told him I would hurry back and be there soon. when I got back 16 minutes later (ring doorbell proof) he was gone. He was there for a total of 12 minutes. (again ring doorbell proof) I waited until 5 to call him back to see if he was coming back to service my ac. he got immediately annoyed and says you told me you would be right back and I waited and waited and waited and waited. you never came back so I gave up on you and left. I explained I hurried as fast as I could. he snaps back and says well its obviously not getting serviced tonight. My receptionist will just take care of it tomorrow. and hangs up. I never received another call. so I called my friend who is HVAC certified. his company came out and looked at it for me and there are several issues with my ac unit. the refrigerant is completely out from leaking cause the connection was not installed correctly. the AC itself was not installed correctly. and the ac unit is way too small for my house sq footage. we have called them out because the refrigerant was out again and they said they will come refill it. Not know any better I believed them. Then to find out Refilling is not actually what needs to be done and that it should never need to be refilled. Ameritrue truly screwed us and refuses to admit fault and blames me. I feel as though I have been scammed and taken advantage of since I did not know any better. I have never been one to complain about companies but I do not appreciate the way I was treated and seeing how poorly everything was installed and serviced each time they came out. As a business, they should never treat people like they did. I am truly disappointed in everything about Ameritrue.

Jacob came and did a tune up on my furnace. Super nice guy showed up between the hours that they told me he was going to be there. Did the tune up and identified that my capacitor was showing extreme signs of ware. He showed me and explained what could happen if it was not replaced. He gave me a fair price and he replaced it for me in the same visit. Thanks Jacob for the great service

Great service! Tim came and took care of our 3 issues super quickly and with a professional touch.

My experience was not great. The techs didnt install the ducts to the specifications we had discussed with the bidder. They were instructed to run two duct lines side by side to allow us to sheet rock the smallest bulkhead possible. They spaced them 6 inches apart instead. Another run was supposed to be strapped to the floor joist and they dropped it 4 inches below the existing run. They also left debris and a significant amount of dirt behind. I had particles from the sub-floor they cut half way up my walls in multiple rooms. The techs gouged walls down to the basement and left marks on my white walls and baseboards. They also scratched my kitchen island, gouging the wood base and scratching the blue stone top in multiple places, which is not easily repaired.When I spoke with the bidder later that day, there didnt seem to be any concern for the damages and errors made. We were told a handyman could be sent if we wanted. We asked for the techs to return to fix the duct placement, we were told there were other jobs that they had to attend to and they wouldnt be able to return for a week. I had take off another day of work in order to be available for repair. The tech who showed up a week later to fix the problems seemed annoyed when I pointed out the errors made the previous week.I was disappointed in the process, the service, and was sad to find out I was asked to pay full-price for services that now required me to repair multiple parts of my newly renovated kitchen and bedroom.

We had our furnace replaced and a new central air conditioning unit installed. The technicians did an excellent job and were very respectful of our home. They laid down drop clothes to protect the floor and even carried away an old furnace that was sitting on our back porch when we bought the house. After receiving 4 different estimates for getting this job done we felt that Ameritrue Heating and Air would give us the best price for the best quality install and they did not disappoint. I have had a relationship with Ameritrue for several years and I have never had a bad experience. I have heart failure and cant do cleaning up after a repair person. The repair team arrives on time, they know what needs to be done in order to repair issue. Also, they CLEAN everything when finished. Each of them always ask if I need anything else done before they leave, that is sweet. I have a therapy cat and they know to watch for her and close the door. I could keep going about how much they mean to me. Last example, my toilet needed to be replaced, Tuesday. Sage ( name of repair gentleman ) was due when I needed to leave for the oral surgeon. He arrived right on time, and didnt have any worries leaving in my apartment. He assured me he would be mindful of Sage. The repairman and cat have the same name. Came back in afternoon and everything was spick and span and sage(cat) was asleep. I would recommend Ameritrue to everyone. They put us on the schedule with a half down $ commitment. The office staff is tremendous as well. Jim was VERY helpful and knowledgeable. I had hired a handyman who was taking 2 days and costing me a fortune. I called up Jim and he said he would come give me a second opinion and take a look, free of charge. After inspecting the work of the handyman he said that he was actually doing a really good job. Just slower and more expensive. Jim even helped my handyman loosen up a pipe he hadnt been able to break free. He also gave him a suggestion of replacing one of the parts that would be less expensive for me. Next time Im calling Jim first! He is quick, affordable (the quote he gave me was less than what I had already paid this guy) and just a genuinely nice guy! I look forward to giving him my business for future repairs.

While working to finish my basement I reached out to Ameritrue after a friend recommended them. They were able to come and provide and estimate quickly and answered many of the questions I had along the way. Their techs were helpful and provided different options of what we could do depending on what our goals were.The day of installation they showed up promptly, communicated expectation and executed accordingly. We had an issue that needed some correction and they quickly scheduled a return visit to address the issue. Again, showed up promptly and Bobbi made sure to follow up to make sure that we were satisfied with the work.I felt their pricing was fair and their communication level was top notch in comparison to other companies that i reached out to as part of the bidding process. Excellent results. Jim came out right away on a weekend no less, and in less than half an hour was done and verbally estimated a very reasonable price for a replacement furnace and new A/C installation. The competition spent 2 hours onsite after scheduling a visit a few days out, and then 2 more days to quote. Ameritrue’s written quote the next business day was exactly what he said verbally with an upgrade option of $400 for 96% furnace efficiency vs 80% compared to $1,100 for the same upgrade from the competition.They arrived on time, put out blankets to protect the floor, worked carefully, cleaned up everything, and even wiped down the stairway. No time was wasted on the cell phone, and I didn’t even notice if they took lunch. This was a big installation over a few days but they made sure the heat was back on the first day. Getting the remainder of the money wasn’t the main objective, rather making sure the job was complete and done right is what seemed to be the main objective.

Jim came out because our furnace was out and quickly realized that it wasnt our furnace but our gas meter. After a quick call to the gas company they installed a new meter and we were up and running. Jim provided us with space heaters until the gas company could get the meter changed so alleviate the freezing temps in the house. Great customer service!

I have personally used Ameritrue Heating and Air two different times. I have a air conditioner and furnace that is about 17 years old and I never serviced it much. I do the normal air filter changes but thats it. I figured it would for sure be just about dead and would need a whole new unit in its place but when Jim came over he cleaned a few things and told me it was still in good shape. That was great news :-) He also came over on another occasion to help me move my out side unit so I can poor concrete on the side of my house. He came and had it moved by himself in about 10-15 minutes. He told me to just let him know when the concrete is done and hell swing by to put it back in place. I am 100% sold on this companies quality, service and integrity! Thanks for all your help Jim!

Jim arrived within an hour of our call, quickly did a thorough check of furnace and AC, and honestly said everything was well. Another supposedly reliable firm had told us the plate in the furnace was rusted through and the AC dangerously low on outdated refrigerant. The other firm quoted us $17,000 to replace the entire system. Jim said our system would function well for some time yet, told us what to look for when it starts to fail, and quoted a replacement cost of our old system at less than half what the other company wanted. Well call Jim any time we have a problem!

Their prices are great. I have had them do several jobs for me in my basement remodel, and these guys have consistently had the low bid. They also do not cut corners, and have done fast, high quality work. I have recommended them to several of my friends in my neighborhood, and theyve always been reliable, well-priced, and done good work. The owner, I believe, is a professor in his HVAC field, and even teaches the subject at a nearby university or college. Youd think hed be priced higher because of his credentials, but hes not.

Loved how fast they responded to our situation in one of the coldest months of the year. My furnace stopped working just before the weekend and when I asked for someone to take a look at it on a Saturday I had a tech in my home within a couple hours. He fixed it that day but it stopped working again so I informed them again Monday morning and a tech in my area stopped by within minutes and found our thermostat broken. He replaced it with a new one on the spot and we received follow up later that day as well as days later from their office to make sure we were taken care of. Very pleased.

These guys are amazing! Honestly one of the best contracting experiences Ive ever had. I had a furnace replaced and not only did they beat competitor prices by almost 50%, they were super friendly and responsive. None of the pushy salesman tactics (looking at you Any Hour). They just let their prices and service do the talking. I waited about a month to write the review and weve had absolutely no problems. Highly recommend them and will be coming back when/if our A/C starts having issues.

But could relate exactly what was wrong. . They even cost me less than half. My rental was up and running after he spent one hour. So I guess all thats left is to cancel the other company that think they are coming back. Jim was able to get my 18-year-old air conditioner to peak performance. It only needed a small amount of refrigerant and he didnt want to charge me. No way! His competitor told me I needed a metering valve replaced for $2,000 in repairs to get it to work right. So Jim said he would charge me $65.00 on condition that it would continue working. If not, there would be no cost to me. Three days later and its still humming along and I saved over $1900. Furthermore, he told me IF it does end up needing that $2,000 repair his price would only be $650 and that it would include ALL of the AC parts inside the furnace (not just the valve). Thank you. I will call you first, next time and tell my friends to do the same.

Jim cleaned the air ducts at my house. Before he did the work, he ran a camera down the air ducts to show me what was in there. I couldnt believe what he found. Not only were they dirty with dust build up, but there was a ton of debris that had fallen in there (probably due to my kids). He then explained the process to clean them and then started the clean up. He was very respectful, he used drop cloths to catch anything coming out of my vents and even wore some shoe covers to make sure he didnt track anything in. After he was done, he showed me another video and sure enough it was clean and shiny on the inside again. He also explained a maintenance package that they have to service my furnace and A/C. Totally worth it and much more in depth than I have seen other peoples ads for! Jim totally earned 5 stars with me.

Theyve always done a wonderful job taking care of the home we rent. The homeowner recently had a heating unit installed in the home. It was installed quickly, and works fantastic.

Very responsive, and honest. They replaced my AC unit, and were in and out within a couple hours. Very respectful, and they have a maintenance plan that helps keep things in tune and working!

AC went out and they were able to schedule to come out the next day. Secretary was easy to work with and with a scheduling glitch they gave me a discount and were very accommodating. Problem was fixed in less than a half hour and didn’t cost an arm and leg! Thank you!

Its been a couple of weeks since they installed a new AC and furnace, and its working great. The installers were polite and the company was professional in every way to work with.

I bought my house in 2015 and hadnt had the AC or furnace checked since I had moved in. I noticed my AC was running nearly constantly and decided it was time to call someone. I had heard so many horror stories online about HVAC technicians ripping people off that I wasnt sure who to call. I ended up meeting Jim and talked with him for a bit and felt I could trust him, so I had him come to my house and he was amazing! Very polite, and he let me follow him around and he would explain what he was doing, why he was doing it, and what he was looking for before he did it. It turned out my AC just needed some pretty minor maintenance, and it has been running great since! Ive signed up for their maintenance plan, so every spring and fall they call me to come out and check on the furnace in the fall and AC in the spring to minimize any problems I may have with them before I run them full blast. I would highly recommend Ameritrue Heating & Air to anyone!

Great service and friendly staff. Jim helped us get AC in a commercial building and does all the maintenance on our other properties. Very responsive to our needs, even when they change unexpectedly.

They do an excellent job and are very knowledgeable. They don’t try to sell you something you don’t need. In fact they will try to do whatever they can to save you money both in the short term and the long run.

Our Office had been working in the at for over a week and we were referred to Ameritrue Heating & Air but was told that it could take a few days to get in. When we called Jim was at our office within that same hour we called! Was very helpful and took good care of us.

USE THIS COMPANY!! Our AC stopped working over this last weekend. It is 15 yrs old and we thought “oh no” we’re gonna need a new unit. Also we had it serviced a few years back and the repair man kept racking up the charges and stayed for over 7 hrs the night before our daughters wedding but said it was good to go for years! We were not happy. So this time around I was going to do some major research to have a better experience.I read Google reviews and skimmed through websites of several companies. There’s were a bunch of HVAC companies, some with hundreds or even thousands of reviews of 4.2-4.8 stars with good and bad comments. I then came across a local company, Ameritrue, it had 5.0 star reviews from all reviews. Everyone seemed extremely satisfied and commented on their honest work, not over charging, explaining choices, not over selling and doing a really great job. I was sold.I called them I hoping that we could get in because our home was now 80° They had an opening earlier that day but me and my husband were both working but I married daughter was able to come over. The Repair man showed up on time, knowing that my daughter needed to be gone a few hours later. He diagnosed what he thought was the problem and called me with the amount. I okayed the services and he went about repairing it after he got in there he realized that the part that he had repaired wasn’t fixing the problem and that it did indeed need a new motor. He called apologizing that he hates to give a bid and then have to come back and tell you that something else is wrong. He was just hoping that this would be the fix so he gave us a big discount on the fan. I okayed the fan after we talked about that the unit was still good to keep going for years. He replaced it and the unit start to work after a couple hours I noticed the house still wasn’t cooling down. I called back the secretary who called the repair man to come back, he was there within a half an hour and took a look at things. With the replacement of the new fan motor it with needing a separate capacitor to run the fan. He installed this at no charge along with not charging for the Freon as well. He warrantied all the work and parts and also said if the unit stopped working with this same problem and we just needed a new one he would put all money we had just paid towards the new unit. The secretary did text us several times throughout the process with updates and questions and also contacted us the next morning to see how the unit was working. Overall I was just impressed. I felt like they listened, were prompt and efficient, were extremely professional, honest with service and bid and most important was there to really fix my unit and not just make some money. I would highly recommend Ameritrue!!!

Great price and better than average installation quality. Im a property manager who deals with more than your average amount of HVAC issues and Id definitely recommend these guys. In addition to replacing my furnace, they fixed some longstanding duct problems, installed a high quality filter box, and when I noticed a placement issue with my new furnace, they quickly resolved it to my satisfaction. Ive seen more OCD HVAC installers than these guys, but Ive also paid more than twice as much for essentially the same work. So far, theyve achieved the best balance of quality and value for my needs.

Im working on finishing our basement and just really needed to vent.Jim came over the same day and gave me a quote for a bunch of hot air. Awesome Service! I called on late Friday afternoon in the middle of June. (The busiest time of year) They told me someone could get to me on Saturday morning. Jordan was our service tech and he is amazing. It took him about 15 minutes to figure out what was wrong and he fixed it. I am mechanically inclined, so I fix many things around our house, but I spent hours on this AC unit yesterday and had no idea what was wrong. Jordans only mistake was that he under quoted me on the price of the replacement part. I learned about this when Bobbi called me from their office to give me an invoice. She explained about the misquote, but quickly assured me they would be standing by the quoted price. I was floored. It was a difference of over $60. Fast Service, Quality Technicians, and Honest Pricing. What else could you ask for?ROUND TWO (Because I know nothing about Air Conditioners)So we called Ameritrue again today, only two days later, to ask for more help. Our AC was on, but sometimes no cool air was coming out of the vents, and the air was often quite weak. Bobbi moved me to the top of the list and had Jim the Managing Technician come and look at our AC within 30 minutes of my call.Using his high tech equipment, Jim determined that the AC seemed to be running just fine. He used a laser temp gun to test the heat coming out of our vents and that was fine as well. He looked at our furnace, and he carefully listened to everything I had observed about the system over the past week or two. He asked me about open vents. Here is where I messed up. It was my intention to maximize cold air in our most used rooms, so I closed the vents on over half the other rooms in the house.Jim explained this actually interrupts air flow through all of the vents and makes it harder to cool the rest of the house. So I opened all my vents. He also recommended I turn on the constant fan on the thermostat to recirculate the cooler air in the basement back upstairs. He also helped us reset our ceiling fans to pull air up, effectively bringing the cold air on the floor up to the top of the room, spreading it out. We did all of these and we can already feel the difference less than 15 minutes later.After spending around 30 minutes reviewing our system, replacing a brass cover on an old valve, and teaching me how to use the AC correctly, Jim told me the visit was free. What!? Thats amazing! Their techs know exactly what they are doing, and their prices are excellent. When I asked how much they charge per pound for replacing refrigerant (if I ever need it) he quoted me $40 less than another local company I researched last week. I cannot recommend these guys highly enough!
