The girl was literally asleep when I got there. I had to wake her up. She told me I had shellac nails when I knew it was dip. She has to FaceTime someone to ask. I wanted a fill & told me no. Until she asked whoever she was FaceTime with. Shaped my nail square before even asking if that’s what I wanted. The fill was off and an older woman took over & fixed it. I was there twice as long as it should have taken.
Nice people, below average pedicure. Regular pedicure was a total of 30 minutes. I’m used to pedicures costing as much (30-40$) and taking an hour. Made an appointment for two but they didn’t have enough people working so they did us one after the other in the course of one hour. They scrub your calves and paint your nails but no real massage. No foot cheese grater. My heels weren’t totally baby smooth after like they usually are at other places I’ve gone. Very loud old massage chairs I felt bad turning it on. No relaxing music in the room to set the mood. I wouldn’t return for a pedi and already have a great manicurist in Ballard.I’m always looking for a great pedicure, and I’ll keep looking on my west side island.
Super clean, friendly staff, great location. Called to see if they had an appointment same day and got me in, in 10 minutes!
Book my appointment at their website- got there 10 mins early for my shellac manicure and ask them if I can change my set as mani-pedi and for mani just add tips on it but the communication is off they don’t understand what I want so I decided to go back to my original appointment which is shellac and just do French tip but instead they argue In front of me so the young girl do my set she’s good I asked her if the tenured one is mad at me and she doesn’t know either- I know there’s a language barrier but I just want to get a french tip. Around 12nn there’s a tenured who finished the job she’s good tho but unfortunately the damaged has done the nails is not even, the shape that I want is not achieved- since we did a different one instead of paying $35 plus $5 for the tips they add more into it so the total goes up to $58- I gave them $10 tip since I don’t feel the vibe already however they could do more about it but I guess customer service isn’t their value..
I came on a Wednesday after work for a mani-pedi. They had re-arragned the layout of the place and got new pedi massage chairs since I was in a few months ago. They also serve complementary beverages if ones services are over a certain dollar amount. The doors were open, making the space nice and breezy. My shellac mani and regular polish pedi were both great. I love the hot stones under my feet while they paint my toes. I feel the amount of time spent on my mani and pedi were appropriate (about 1/2 hour each). Im busy and dont want to spend forever at the nail salon. One lady did my toes and another did my fingernails. Both were very nice and did a great job. I loved just sitting back, sipping a drink and relaxing. Thank you, ST Nails!
Great place. Will definity come back!
The staff is nice but the quality of the materials is not that good
Wonderful salon, takes pride in their work! Staff is very sweet, and pay close attention to detail and customer satisfaction. I felt protected and safe; all Covid-19 protocols met. So excited to go back in for more pampering. ☺️
I think Hanna shapes nails the best ever, she really took her time to shape my nails and everyone noticed . I got so many compliments
Sue is lovely and did a great job with my gel nails, very thorough. Ill be back!
The ladies were very nice and the tech did a beautiful job on the Dip powder but I am super disappointed after paying $45 that it barely lasted a week with the first nail chipping off day 2. Perhaps it is the quality of the dip powder but something is off. Otherwise, a fine experience. Perhaps skip the dip and go for gel.* UPDATED - I am SO thrilled with the customer service in reply to my first experience. I was invited to return on their dime and this time my dip manicure stayed beautiful and perfect for two weeks where they began to show my nail growth. I will definitely be back and really apprecite how they made it right. :-)
It was 👍 good
I really tried to love this place because it’s down the street but they’re overpriced for just OK work, many pedi for $70 like c’mon. I love Jean, but whenever I get anyone else to do my nails, I either get a sloppy job, burnt fingers or my nails look like they’ve been done by a child. I was too shy to say something up front but they had other clients while I was in so I didn’t want to take away from their time. I’m genuinely upset because my nails are EVERYTHING to me because it’s my only way to express my girly side. Sad to say I won’t be returning :/
The service is top notch, my fiance got the best pedicure ever, I a full set. My nails are just ok visually, but the massage they give is worth every dime. Definitely will be back 👍
Friendly staff and clean facilities
This is the best nail salon! Ive been going to Bolsa Nails and seeing my nail tech/esthetician Jean for over 14 years and will continue to do so as long as I can. They do great work and take really good care of me. They do the best nails, any style you want they can do for you. I also get my eyebrows and upper lip waxed here and always have great results. Very flexible hours, best prices and great location with easy parking in the back. Highly recommend.
I do not recommend this place. It was my first time going there because I found on their website that they do powder dipping for 35$, which is the cheapest Id seen so I wanted to check it out. I called to see if they accepted walk-ins and the woman on the phone told me that they did accept walk-ins but I need to make an appointment because it was about to get busy; when I told her that I didnt know what time I would be coming, she hung up on me.I walked in shortly after and there was one person in there and three technicians available. I asked for the powder dip and they sat me down to pick my color. The woman in the salon asked what the dip was and one of the technicians loudly whispered to her that it wasnt a good thing to get because its so expensive. I then asked how much it was and they told me it was 47$. I am not able to pay that much for my nails so I asked about the Shellac price, they said it was 30$, which is more than most salons, but because I was there I decided to do it.I chose my color and eventually found out that they chose the wrong color when it was too late. The technician only filed one hand and worked extremely quick. She painted the shellac and put my hand under the fan to dry, when she pulled my hand out, she wiped the nail to see if it was dry and the polish came off, then she just painted an extra coat which resulted in my nails having uneven and thick polish.I always tip when I get my nails done, even if I am not completely satisfied, but I was so frustrated with the entire situation, and I was already paying an extra 5$ than I usually did. When I went up to pay, she took my card and asked me how much do I want to tip, awkwardly, I replied no, thank you. She looked at me and said, no, the machine is asking for a tip. I just asked her to run the card for the 30$. She persisted, telling me that the machine wants to know what I want to tip, I was so uncomfortable and started looking around, then she asked me if I had cash to tip her. I told her no, but she would not stop. She showed me the machine where it was asking me to tip, and finally I told her that I did not have enough money. This was the most uncomfortable experience and I will never be back. I suggest that you find another nail salon and do not go to this one.
I’m honestly shocked that there are so many good reviews on this place. I had to ask multiple times to have nails fixed when they were clearly misshapen and different lengths. And they’re still not shaped well. Then when the lady lotioned my hands, she left so much excess lotion all over my arms and under my nails.. and all over my ring. Will never return.
Im updating my review because I went today and gave them another try! I like the decor and atmosphere, very relaxing! Always keep a good relationship with this salon. Its such a gem!
This is a great little place with very reasonable prices. The ladies are very sweet and accommodating. Ill be back in the future!
Super friendly! Im not from Seattle and the gals were very nice. My nails turned out beautifully!
Update: now under new ownership and all prices have been raised significantly - 40% increase for SNS dipping powder.Jean (the owner) is friendly and accommodating. Great service and quality work.
The atmosphere here is awesome. Ive been to a few shops in West Seattle and this one is the best. Friendly, fun, and they make you feel welcome!
I got a shellac mani. I hate to leave a negative review but it’s important to me to leave an honest one. I’m really disappointed in the poor quality of the cuticle trim, rushed nature of my massage, as well as something I always fear never seems to be done correctly no matter where I go for whatever reason, is the polish doesn’t start at the cuticle line and it never covers my full nail side to side. I had the same experience here and unfortunately it is probably the worst it’s been. I am most pleased with the length and shape of my nails and the color selection.I am willing to try this place again. I’ll have to keep an eye on the process and just be more vocal next time about my concerns.
Absolutely love this shop! They take wonderful care Of me every time. Shes always open to my design ideas.
Jean did an amazing job! I have been looking for a great place to start up my nails again and I’ve found it! 😊
I cant find a better place to get my nails done! They also do a fantastic job when it comes to waxing.
Jean is an artist. This is my best experience with a salon by far. If you want to feel pampered and glam with nail art right out of Pinterest - go and see her!
They left my toenails so sharp they are digging and cutting into my skin. I asked for the Deluxe pedicure and all that was different was that they scrubbed my legs endlessly. Save your money.
Jean is the Best!
This salon was a diamond of a find. I wanted to start doing something for me and decided getting my nails done would be the perfect thing. On account of convenience, Bolsa Nails was just around the corner from home. Yup, walking distance. But I have to say, convenience paid off hugely.I sat down with Trinh and... the time she spent on my nails, the care she invested in making sure I liked what I got, and the overall experience has made me a regular at her shop. I even travel to her now at her new location. And all because its worth it every time. Thank you Trinh and the gals at Bolsa Nails!!!
Quality, clean, relaxing experience for a reasonable price. Jessica, one of the new owners at Bolsa is doing my acrylic/gel manicures and she makes sure to get the nails looking natural and cuticles clean. This will be my go to spot for mani/pedis in north Seattle.
I got a Mani pedi and everyone was very nice and the owner was so sweet! Highly recommend
So I had came in today to get a full set and when I left I noticed how uneven the nails are and how bad the paint job and on top of that she CUT MEEE
This was my second time back and wanted to support due to all the construction around them, but I definitely won’t be back. The spa pedicure was so lackluster :( barely any scrubbing, no effort, lotion everywhere, the color on my nails was a mess. It was so so subpar.
I come here ALLL the time they have an WIDE SELECTION OF COLORS AND Service is WONDERFUL. I ALWAYS WALK OUT WITH AN SMILE ON MY FACE😇😇
Great costumer service! they are probably the nicest people I have every seen in a nail salon
Jean did my dip nails and I LOVE them. Very professional and kind!
Nice people and a fine pedicure. What I missed was the extensive leg massage I have gotten at other salons.
I had a nice mani/pedi. The advertised sale was not honored. Sign outside said 30% off all services. Inside, I was charged more than the list of services hanging on the wall. I won’t be back. I’m not in the mood to barter or question what I will be charged.
Dont waste time or money here. This place is the total worst. They will give you a FAKE Pedicure. Barely cut your nails and a two minute foot rub and thats it?? Its place us a SCAM!!
Vy is great and did an amazing job on my toes❤ Thank you!
Jeanie and her team are AMAZING!The #1 Nail Salon in the world!!💯👍🌏
Super dip products!!
Nice salon. The first time I was in it, although it is the closest one from my house. In addition to manicure and pedicure, girls do hand, foot and neck massage. Depilation is done, eyebrows and eyelashes are also dyed. They also offer different drinks! Now I will only go there.
