Update to 2021!! Look how beautiful she is again. Thank you!!!----I have not been here but for the last seven years I have been in love with the vintage lighted sign above the entrance. Sad to see it is in much disrepair and does not light up anymore. Sometimes though I stroll by here and when the traffic isnt too bad I lift my ear to it and can still hear the mechanics rolling in a squeaky click for the light dance like clockwork, even though the light bulbs are all burned out.
Great service and product. Decades of experience gives you quality and fair cost. You cant go wrong.
Avoid this place like the plague. You will have to deal with the owner, Dennis, who is belligerent and provides very poor customer service (does not return calls seeking order status, does not notify you when order is delayed). Wish I could give 0 stars.
They replaced the windows on my building and did a great job
We thought they did good work, but discovered later they had mis-measured a shower panel. Rather than replace it they installed it incorrectly with a silicone, which soon failed. When contacted about their faulty work, they offered to fix it for $900. When we asked them to share some of the cost (for their mistake) they promptly announced they were no longer interested in working with us, not even for the $900. Dennis who answers the phone has terrible phone etiquette but does a great job of protecting the owner Brian and insulting customers.
An installation interior trim error took a long time to correct. I made MANY calls to Cascade Glass and could not get Dennis, the scheduler, to return my calls. This went on for a few weeks. Access is a major problem for this company!!
Worst. Customer. Service. EVER.My guess is that any 3 star + reviews this business gets are fake or are from people who ordered something and got it with no problems. How a business treats its customers when things go wrong is what truly matters, especially in a business of this nature where custom orders and construction timelines are involved.The customer service i received was shockingly bad.1. Placed an order for a glass shower door, was told it would take about two weeks.2. Two weeks came and went. I called and left a message. No response. Called again the next day, still no response.3. The next day I called and got a hold of the owner and I was told (in his usual gruff manner) that my door arrived at his shop 3 days ago(!) but he sent it back because there was a scratch (he didnt call me to let me know). I told him that I had a tenant moving in and needed it asap so I wanted to see the door to see if it was acceptable to me and he told me he had already sent it back to his vendor. I was told it would arrive in 5 days. I told him that I couldnt wait that long, but he refused to call his vendor and ask for the scratched door to be returned. I asked him to call his vendor to ask them to prioritize this remake order over new orders and he flat out refused.4. I pleaded with him to try to get his vendor to deliver on Thursday, he said hed try. I asked him to call me back to let me know so I could coordinate with my contractor. He never called.5. I called Wed (twice) and Thursday (twice) and never received a call back. I was told the owner (Dennis) was sick on Thursday but I left messages on three different voice mails (since nobody was answering the main number).6. By 11 am Friday I still had not heard from Cascade Glass, despite the desperate pleading in my voice messages. Since leaving messages is useless, i kept calling until i finally got Dennis on the line. He said the thought my order was in and he would call me back in a few minutes. 2 hours went by and finally I got a call telling me my order was in.7. When I went in to pick it up, I tried telling Dennis how frustrated I was with the lack of response, and how difficult it was to plan logistics with my tenant and my contractor, but he kept cutting me off and, amazingly, started YELLING AT ME!!!!!! He told me to take my business elsewhere! Oh, Dennis, you have no idea how I wish I could have done exactly that, but you knew full well that was impossible for me to do so for a custom order with a 2 week turn around time.All I can do is warn people to STAY AWAY FROM CASCADE GLASS!! The customer service is atrocious! Dennis, you cant treat people like this and not expect them to get on yelp and rant about it.If Dennis replies and tries to convince you that I was the problem, I will admit that after he refused to listen to my complaints and started yelling at me, my frustrations boiled over and I used profanity and yelled back at him. I am normally a calm person, the type that tries to find the manager to commend a good worker, but Dennis staggering lack of concern for his customers predicament and incredibly non-professional demeanor made me lose my composure.
Came out, measured, left. Didnt hear from them until I called a week later. I gave them a try, and gave down payment. Been a week and havent received a call, and got VM when I called. This was supposed to be completed today, and havent been called back.
