Had my first cut today, and it was great. Stu is a funny guy and easy to talk to. Id recommend him if youre looking to get a cut in downtown Seattle.

As a Philly guy accustomed to South Street fades every weekend, I was a bit skeptical about finding my go-to barber after moving out to Seattle earlier this year.You all know what Im talking about. The barber who youre comfortable with, and can keep you fresh ALL. THE. TIME. Well luckily for me I came across Stu and have been hooked ever since. As a regular, I check in with Stu pretty frequently and have quickly become known as the guy in my friend circle whos always lined up and looking fresh.Aside from my personal experience, just take a look at the photos on here. Stu is easily the most diverse barber Ive ever come across who can both cut hair AND fade (rarely do you find both). Regardless of race / ethnicity, he does it all. I consider him more of an artist than a barber as he really thinks through every detail, takes time and gives you attention without EVER rushing, and delivers results every single time. And on top of that, Stu is one of the most respectful people Ive ever met tailoring conversations accordingly based on your interests -- our usual go-to these days is movies. Hes a movie fanatic!From a price point, wont be the cheapest haircut youve ever gotten, but compares well against the Seattle market overall. Considering what youre actually getting with Stu, he could easily charge more. But he cares more about happy customers and the experience than making a quick buck which Ive come to appreciate.My go-to is the haircut with beard lineup combo. It never fails. Best fade in the city, always leave feeling confident. If Stu is booked for a week, I’d rather wait the week than go to someone else.Make sure to book in advance, Stu gets booked fast which should be expected with any great barber.Stu is always responsive in a timely manner typically through text.Overall, each cut is a great experience. Never have had any issues. Always reliable.

Not only a phenomenal guy - but he is hands down the best barber that Ive ever had. Ive been seeing Stu for over a year; and after every visit with Stu - I get so much compliments from friends, coworkers, and strangers alike about my fade. Have been going to Stu for a few months and can say confidently that I have not had a better barber. He listens to you and also provides suggestions. Most of all he understands mens hair. A lot of other places just leave hair uneven. Do yourself a favor and visit Stu. Setting up appointments is a charm too, I generally get one in next couple of days rather than waiting for a week

Ive been having Stu come my hair for a little over a year now ever since I moved to Seattle. Im someone who Im very particular about who cuts my hair and the quality of the cut, fade, edge, etc.Stu hits the perfect mark every time, whether you want a fade, a special design or something simple he can do it all. Stu takes his time which is exactly what you want for a barber because a perfect fade cannot be rushed. The dude is talented, professional, and makes sure that when you leave his chair you are 100% satisfied.He knows how to cut all types of hair, my hair is curly & thick but Stu cuts it perfectly that no matter what direction I brush my hair it looks perfect. Different ethnicities have different types of hair and you cant cut each hair type the same way. For example, you cant fade someone of one ethnic background the same way you do of another because their hair is different; one may be more curly/straight, different texture, etc. Stu is a skilled barber who knows this and know how to precisely cut your hair properly no matter the type of hair.Im telling you, I have never left Stus and felt unsatisfied or wanting more. Myself and his other clients are loyal for a reason, when someone cuts your hair this good, you dont leave.

No need to bother with any other barbers in Seattle, Stu is the best hands down. I have a terrible cowlick, and my hair grows in a lot of weird directions, and he always spends the time to get it looking perfect. He also does a hell of a beard trim. I always get a lot of compliments after Stu cuts me up. All that would be great, but he is a great guy and very good at conversation as well. I cant recommend him enough.

I was looking for a change about 6 months ago...something new. i have a buddy in the barbering business that highly recommended Stu. Im glad a took that recommendation. Stu is highly skilled and professional. His barbering background is a little different than others in the same shop and hes constantly seeking out ways to improve. Hes easy to schedule and calls you directly if he needs to make changes. All of the above...and hes a good dude. Cant beat that right? Do yourself a favor and go for the straight razors shave...its incredible!

Called on a Friday and got a voicemail asking to send a text. Did that. Heard back three days later - I told him I had found somewhere else for this appointment, but that I would like to set up a reservation in 4 weeks or so. No response. Not trying again.Edit to the owners response: When I told you I was looking for a reservation 4 weeks out, you never responded. Calling me a liar is extremely disrespectful, but honestly I am not surprised based on your responses to other reviewers. Will make sure to tell everyone I know to stay far away from your shop.

I have had difficulty finding the right barber in Seattle. Im glad I found Stu he loves what he does and I feel thats important when picking the right barber. Highly recommend him and definitely will be back!

The stylists here are consistently friendly and give great haircuts. It’s a bit pricey but the quality is way better than the other chain shops so I think it’s worth the premium.

This guy, Stu, is awesome. He does a great job every time. Really nice guy too, and not overpriced.

Great Barber, though his appointment system is rubbish. Calling to reschedule an appointment an hour beforehand is poor form and reflects poor business ethics. Sorry Stu, you lost a customer today.

If you want the best for your beard and hair, Stus got you covered! Always has good advice on what will look good with your head/hair shape/type, too.

Stu is the best barber I have found in Seattle. Im particular about my hair and trust his professional advice. Stu takes the time to do it right and send me out the door with a great haircut every time.

I used to just do walk-ins and Rudys Belltown and decided to make a change after a handful of sub-par haircuts. Found Stu on the internet and decided to give him a try. 4 haircuts in and I am extremely pleased with the change to Stu. He listens to what you want and gives suggestions when his expertise is needed. For the first time someone asked me where I was getting my haircut. Stu is a true craftsman!
