I’ve been going to Jared for years and he’s easily one of the most talented barbers in the PNW. Once you see one of his fades you’ll understand. That said, the skill doesn’t go to his head like some barbers. He’s super down to earth, hilarious, and makes sure you leave happy (you will). The shop exudes good vibes and is always super clean. Can’t recommend the Keep enough.

Jared is amazing, took me from sasquatch mountain man to a human in less than an hour. Highly recommend. Nice location, positive atmosphere in the shop, and the cut is on point. (Parking isnt the easiest to come by though, plan ahead unlike me lol)

Absolutely love this shop! Met Jared a few years ago when he was cutting hair in a beer garden at Bumbershoot and instantly knew he was my forever barber.Jared is one of the most genuine and welcoming people Ive ever met. His new shop is very nice and comfortable, extremely welcoming. I stop in whenever Im in the area to just hang out for a bit.Did I mention these guys are top tier in their profession?! I’ve been with Ben Taylor now for almost a year and he’s by far the best barber I’ve ever had. I moved to Seattle 2 1/2 years ago and it took me a long time to find a barber like him. Being from Miami I was really serious about who cuts my hair and the moment I met Ben he made me feel comfortable, relaxed, and he gives you a truly great conversation. The keep as a shop is very professional, clean, and they always make sure you taken care of. I highly recommend coming to this shop over any other.

Just went for my appointment and my barber no longer works there, instead of taking responsibility for themselves they left it on him to contact his clients. I drove from Lake City for this appointment since I liked my barber so coming here for no reason is very upsetting. I normally work in Capitol Hill and will usually come after work. Since I work with the public I decided to come on my day off instead of exposing the barbers to myself after working with people all day. All I got was a shrug from the two barbers there with no additional accommodation. Even if I cannot find where my barber went to I will not be trying them again.

Having a good regular barber is one of life’s joys that I don’t remember how I lived without. Jared has been cutting my hair at Scotch Pine for the past four years, so I was excited to learn that he opened up his own barber shop, The Keep. His work is always excellent, and I walk away from every appointment looking sharp. Last year, for my wedding, I went to him for haircuts for me and all my groomsmen. He listened carefully, everyone got exactly the style they were looking for, and we had a blast while we were there.Beyond that, Jared’s a great and friendly guy. Because of him, getting a haircut isn’t a chore, but something I actually look forward to. My first cut at The Keep today was exactly as high-quality, professional, and enjoyable as the dozens of other haircuts I’ve gotten from Jared, and I trust that Jared’s high standard would apply just the same to any other barber who has a chair in his shop.The Keep is the only place I’ll go for a haircut in Seattle for the foreseeable future.

Jared is a fantastic barber whom Ive been going to for years; and as we discussed, the nicest human on the planet. The Keep is his first venture into his own business and it is a testament to his level of professionalism. I have half a mind to rate this poorly so I can keep him to myself because this place is sure to be popular.

Ive been going to Jared for nearly 6 years now and Im not sure what Ill do if he leaves town. He cut me for my wedding, my brothers wedding, and my brother for his own wedding, while at the same time offers ways to be explorative and unique. Hes confident in his trade, and has navigated 5 or 6 different looks for my hair while incorporating his own style to give me a well-shaped and stylish cut every time. Ive never had a bad haircut from this guy, and Ive been told my hair is tough.

I’ve been all over the greater Seattle area looking for something like what The Keep has. It is easy to see this is Jared’s passion and he truly cares about creating an exceptional experience for everybody that walks into the shop. Cam has been my barber for awhile now and glad he has joined The Keep.

Been going to Jared for the past 2 years, amazing team, super chill vibe, highly recommend.

My barber had come to work here prior to stay at home orders. After stay at home orders have lifted and the barber shop reopened, I found that my barber no longer cuts hair here. When I inquired about where he had gone, they tried to get me to go to one of the other barbers, making claims that it would be the same. I’m loyal to my barber and he knows how to cut my hair. The way they acted was unprofessional and shady.
