After a year and a half at The Lyric, I need to move to a different city but I can say this is the only apartment building Ill miss. For the last 10 years, Ive lived in apartments in SF, LA, and now Seattle. The Lyric is the first property where Ive felt like the friendly faces in the leasing office and the building management actually cared about me as a resident. From my viewing, to signing, move-in, packages, enduring a year of COVID lock-downs and getting creative -- Vy, Tasha, and formerly Louie and Julian were great neighbors. My apartment has been quiet (facing the courtyard), spacious, and modern. Ive enjoyed having air conditioning. My California king bed fit in my 1 bedroom. I was able to swap the thermostat for my Nest. And Ive really appreciated having Chargepoint EV charging in the garage.Thank you Lyric staff for maintain such a great building and community, especially during hardships. I recommend this place as a comfortable home, in a great location.
We have yet to move in but so far the application process has been really good. We had to change a few things from our application, like pushing the lease start date back a day, and also getting the rate that was quoted during the tour instead of the one that showed up when we applied (since it went up that next day), and they were very accommodating. The staff has been very professional and responsive so far, and the building looked great during the tour. Planning on updating this review once we actually move in, looking forward to it.
You wont regret your stay at the Lyric, I promise. If youre looking for being right in the center of crazy, then look elsewhere close to Pike/Pine or downtown. The location is the perfect blend of neighborhoods to the North and urban bars & restaurants to the South, and 1 block away from the Cap Hill Link station cant be beat. The building is a beast. Its completely soundproof so you will rarely hear neighbors, dogs, or anything. One caveat is youre under the Airport flight path but thats all of Cap Hill, so we didnt keep our windows open much since were quiet sleepers. But windows closed, completely soundproof. The rooftop is, of course, its best amenity with the best view of the city and Mt Rainer. Its a great way to sun tan, BBQ, and chill with friends by the fire pit.Lastly, the staff is top notch. The events they throw are top notch and help thaw the Seattle freeze tendencies of socializing. From managing all our Amazon packages to always having a happy greeting, the entire staff is one of the best parts. Maintenance should also be included in that, very professional, fast and keep the building like new.
Rude leasing agent, completely loss all interests after speaking to her
Ive lived at The Lyric for 3 years. The staff is always wonderful but they have really stepped it up lately. During normal times, they have regular free events for residents, and they have managed to continue some during COVID times. For instance, they got a blow-up movie screen so we could have socially distant rooftop movie, complete with popcorn and candy, and we had a ZOOM cocktail making and succulent planting event. They recently remodeled the shared indoor spaces and got new furniture and fire pits for the rooftop and new furniture and hammocks for the courtyard. On yearly reviews I had complained about the landscaping, which is difficult to maintain because of so many dogs using it due to the vet office in the building, and they put raised planters with flowers. They even repaired the vintage tile on the sidewalk on Broadway. In addition to the awesome staff, maintenance is great, apartments are quiet, the rooftop is epic and the location cant be beat.
This apartment complex is simply amazing: the apartments, customer service, amenities and location are all superb and I would have no problem giving them a 5 out of 5. I highly recommend the Lyric to anyone looking to move into the Capitol Hill area... you wont be disappointed.
Rented at several nice apartments in belltown and capitol hill over the past decade. Weve had good experiences with pillar properties generally. Lyric was by far our favorite place. Staff super helpful and friendly. Perfect location, with the light rail and food/drink options. We only moved because we bought a home. No issues or complaints ever. Highly recommend.
Great central location, with good amenities. Public spaces are well maintained. The staff is friendly and responsive. Lived here for two years and enjoyed it!
Living at The Lyric is an outstanding experience! Lauren Reel is such a pro at helping me feel like Im home. From showing me the perfect apartment, to helping me navigate the media choices available, find the perfect parking spot, and locate the nearest pet store, Laurens calm and cheerful help has been so appreciated. Indeed everyone working with Stacy is endlessly helpful and caring about making sure everything is good. And, The Lyric is always bright and shining and in tip-top condition because the maintenance team cares enough to do the best job possible. My lovely apartment is so cozy, comfortable, and quiet. The kitchen is a dream with a huge fridge and plenty of cooking space, and having a washer and dryer makes life so easy. Going up to the roof, with its world class views of Mt. Rainier, the Seattle Space Needle, and the Olympic Mountains, to relax, read, grill, or watch fireworks, is really a huge plus to living in this beautiful new apartment building.Another fun thing with living at The Lyric are all the get-togethers Stacy and her ever cheerful team put together. When I first moved here there was a great cookie baking class, and just the other day there was a BBQ up on the roof for everyone to enjoy.I would suggest living at The Lyric to anyone who wants to have a worry free and enjoyable place to call home in beautiful Seattle, WA.
Beautiful rooftop, amenities, and kind staff!
Have lived here for 3 years and it is the only place to live in Seattle. Amazing location and views, beautiful complex and excellent staff. Very sad to leave The Lyric but have to for out of state relocation.
Unprofessional and incompetent staff. They do not care about their customers, dont be fooled by their friendly appearances. I asked them a few times to provide me a confirmation that all rent was paid after I broke the lease and they kept telling me that I dont need one. Until a debt collector called me which they have sent to collect the debt, apparently! Although I have paid all the amount 2 days after they informed me about the due payment. This is a terrible experience. Avoid this place.
By far the best building on the hill
Too expensive!
