I love this shop. They are so helpful. Kudos to Jacob who helped me with a keyboard.Some people just cannot be pleased. Employees can never know whether to help or stay away and let you look.Just say to them ‘I will give a shout if I need help’.

Saw the billboard and decided to check it out. Friendly staff and a lot of new guitars.Very little used gear section. They dont price match everything. As a touring musician not worth stopping.

Nice store, but hard to shop without constantly being asked over and over the same question and giving the same answer. Do not like trying to look while being there and really did not like having to shop for strings as well. Ill stick with ordering them from here on out online rather than go back in.

Hey buddy, you like musical instruments? Then check out Sight and Sound Music Center! New or used - theyve got a wide selection of instruments and accessories.We came here to look at basses and after playing a few, happily left with one. Sales staff were helpful, not too pushy. The staff member who restrung the bass for us (to flat wound strings), was a drummer! Dont tell us you cant teach drummers new tricks. He did fine.Store was clean and well organized.

Excellent customer service, very knowledgeable staff. They ask you your budget and show you different options. Everytime Ive been here someone greets me and helps me find whatever it is I need. Couldnt ask for a better place in Muncie....they are an asset to the community. I would encourage everyone to support this local business. A+++++

My husband wanted a guitar and they did an amazing job explaining everything to him. The best part they were even nice enough to go the extra mile to make sure we got the guitar today.! To the gentlemen wearing the light blue ace of diamonds tshirt, thank you for so much help and attention!! I am a beginner with synthesizers and he didnt once make me feel bad for not knowing exactly what I was looking for. He took the opportunity to give me good advice and explain the equipment. I had to come back twice in one day because I didnt buy all of the connections I needed the first time, and he was just as helpful the second time! I definitely feel comfortable coming back here for more equipment as I progress.

I had a guitar that wasnt sounding right so i called them. The man i spoke with was very helpful and knowledgeable. So i took my guitar in for a setup. He looked at it and showed me the problem. And how to possibly fix. it was going to still need a setup but the setup cost $75. He said they had a full sized guitar on sale for $99 and it was already setup and ready to play. So i bought it. Now i didnt feel like they pressured me into this nor did i think he just said my guitar had a problem when it didnt because i already knew it had a problem. I feel like this salesman was very helpful and knowledgeable. I will be a customer from now on. Thank you J Struble

Will lie to you about other stores and badmouth every other music shop claiming some type of moral high ground using pressure sale tactics that even if you buy and like it it leaves you with buyers remorse. I OVER PAID to support local. Save your money and just donate all the money you will save by shopping somewhere else into your community, this is the better option than giving it to an arrogant knows everything scum.

This is a pretty good store for being in such a small town. A few other stores in some bigger cities have some more variety of options and styles, but the store will generally meet any music needs that you have for a small band or a church worship team, or just personal playing.Something that is very nice is that you can rent certain instruments and equipment from them. I know that my ministry has benefited greatly from being able to rent from the store. Its A nice option to have when you dont have a chunk of money to throw at an instrument that you need for a very immediate purpose.

Is this heaven? Amazing customer service and huge selection of gear at affordable prices. Lots of big name brands. They beat the internet any day of the week and have layaway and financing options if youre short on cash. The new store is a must see for any musician. Hands down one of the best selections of gear on display in the midwest. Comfortable waiting area if youve got a kid taking lessons too. This family owned business blows away those other chain stores.

My husband has purchased thousands of dollars of equipment from these folks over the years, and called today to try and get information on a voltage adapter. Rather than receiving helpful council, the manager Jason was instead extremely rude, and upset that the equipment was not purchased from him. He did not offer any information other than you need additional equipment (from him) and advice. Even though my husband teaches college level audio engineering, Jason was unwilling to hear out the actual complex issue. We will definitely be taking our future business elsewhere.

We have purchased 3 guitars among other items, and had a repair done, within the last year from here. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. They seem to have a passion for what they are doing. Being a business owner myself, I know how hard it is to find great staff like this. I hope that the are valued by the owner of the company! Prices are very good as well, less than what we found online. Happy to have a place like this in Muncie!

Prices and a selection that compete with big box stores with an incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff. Salespeople have not once tried to upsell me on something I didnt need. If I cant find the answer to a question online someone in the staff is guaranteed to know the exact answer without fail.

Purchased an adapter cable. Specifically asked the sales associate if I could return it if it turned out to not be what I needed, because I wasnt sure. I ended up needing to return. I went in the NEXT DAY and was told I could not return. I could only exchange. Id never went to the store in the four years ive been in Muncie and I never plan to go back.

Since Jason would like to respond to my first review and call my husband and I a liar after I had given my honest review, Id like to respond to him once again. In my first review, I was simply trying to help future customers from making the same mistakes in shopping at your store. However, since Jason would like to open that can of worms, Id be happy to correct his misinformation and share more issues with his customers. 1) We have definitely spent well over $5,000 at your location over the past 5 years---it just might not be under our names. So, please dont call my husband a liar on social media unless you have your facts straight. My husband has done consulting & installation work for multiple churches & businesses in Muncie, Winchester and other cities where we purchased the equipment through YOUR location only BECAUSE of my husbands direct suggestions to these businesses he consulted for----and equipment was purchased under that business name. We could have taken that money and gone anywhere---but he chose to shop with you guys! You werent always the cheapest, but he still chose to shop there because he had a long relationship with you guys. As you can imagine that wont be happening any more!! 2) My husband initially called Sight and Sound because we thought they might be helpful enough to want to offer a little verbal advice over the phone because, heaven forbid, they do offer customer service, right? Plus we had shopped here for years, and thought it was a reliable place to call to receive friendly, helpful advice---we actually thought we could trust them! I guess we were very wrong! Unlike Jason, we actually dont know everything there is to know in the world about every piece of audio equipment and simply wanted to ask for a little help from someone who works in the business and might have an answer to our question. If Jason couldnt have helped us or didnt want to speak to my husband about a piece of equipment that wasnt purchased through him all he needed to do simply say he wasnt able to help us, say thanks for calling and hang up. No attitude necessary. If Jason had listened to him in the first place, he would have realized is was a much simpler issue. My husband did call another business AFTER speaking to Jason & got the problem resolved after about 15 minutes on the phone---with NO need to buy additional equipment. It was much simpler than Jason was making the problem to be once we found someone knowledgeable in this area. In fact this issue was easily resolved after a 2nd phone call and the current client is very happy and satisfied with his installation. 3) YES, Jason did call and leave a very long message on my husbands cell phone. It was an apology, but one that sounded more like he was upset that he was going to loose our business, NOT that he was sorry he wasnt able to actually help us. He also stated, I saw the reviews you guys posted online, and yeah, I deserved that Your prideful candor on Facebook/Google to make my husband appear as if he was clueless only adds to our reassurance that your apology was indeed not genuine; and you are only concerned with the money. Over the past few years we had heard of several unsatisfied friends/ family who had shopped with Sight and Sound, and honestly wasnt sure why. However, our recent experience with them has definitely shown how much their business has dropped off. Im even more taken back by the keyboard courage vibe I seem to be getting from his response to my honest review. Very unprofessional. I am not a big reviewer here when it comes to this kind of stuff---so the fact that I feel so passionately to spend my time warning folks about this business should speak volumes! We would definitely advise you to shop elsewhere if youre seriously considering investing in a system/ equipment where you are going to need ANY kind of customer service or support! We are certain there is a better, local store that would be more deserving of your business & MUCH more helpful!!!

First off The guy behind the counter knew as much about the cash register as he did guitars ( which is extremely limited i assure you ) While i was there an older lady asked about 10 or so questions about a guitar she purchased for her granddaughter and all i heard from either associate was I dont know . But anyhow, I had went in to purchase a patch cable to connect my effects pedal to an amp. To my suprise they had some on the counter marked DISCOUNTED - WAS $17.99 now - $4.99.I thought great ! Then the guy tryed to charge me $17.99 . I pointed out the sign and he had to get help to operate the cash register. In the end what should have taken 2 minutes and cost $4.99 ended up taking 45 minutes TONS of frustration and they still charged me wrong $8.99 for somethin clearly marked $4.99, but i was willing to take the 4 dollar loss just not to have to return and deal with the idiots again. I will NEVER return to this establishment and recommend no one else do so either. Also everything in the store is at least twice as much as anywhere else and a very limited selection of merchandise.
