So close to campus–great place for students to live! 3 minute walk to Target and the ave and super close to Trader Joes. Full kitchen and living space in the units is great for college students.
A great place to live! The staff and amenities are super accommodating, and the location is awesome. I can walk to campus in 5-10 min.
Management was great and the new internet service is great! Highly recommend
Sarah gave a great tour, she was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. She answered all of our questions and showed us the ins and outs of the building in great depth. NOLAN is a great apartment complex with an even better supporting staff.
These apartments were so nice and had great amenities. Sarah was super friendly and helpful and answered all my questions. Would definitely recommend anyone getting a tour to ask for Sarah!
We brought our daughter out to look at apartments and Sarah was extremely helpful. We especially loved the rooftop. Great service and this is definitely a possibility.
I toured Nolan today with my friends, Sarah really did a great job of making Nolan feel like the best home for us. Definitely thinking about signing on soon!
While looking for housing in Seattle I came across Nolan and Nora where I decided to take tours of both locations. I was guided by Sarah who did a fantastic job of showing me various units as well as the shared spaces and amenities. Sarah was fantastic and very patient while working with me. While I decided on living at a different location, I would recommend Nolan and Nora to anyone looking for a great home in a lively area. With the apartments they have, great amenities and phenomenal customer service I received in my search I feel as though 5 stars is warranted although I chose to live elsewhere.
I love living at Nolan. Sarah and the front office are super helpful. Maintenance is always quick and Covid safe whenever they come by.
Lived a Nolan for a number of years. The buildings amenities (gym, rooftop, etc) are amazing. Having the leasing office in the building was great as they were generally accessible and helpful. Youll be in the University area and around students constantly but for the right person, I couldnt recommend Nolan and the staff (especially Miranda) enough.
Sarah was super helpful and answered all my questions. Looking forward to this fall!
The management and office staff are great! Jasmine was extremely helpful and friendly whenever I had questions.
Love living here, all of the amenities are really useful and the staff is great. Jasmine always helps me get my packages on time!
Absolutely love it here! Was adamant to move into a studio but it is absolutely gorgeous, in the perfect location, and the staff are friendly and kind. Before coming to tour, I read other Google reviews stating that there was poor service- when I went to the leasing office I was confused because this seemed so incorrect! Then I was told that the buildings are under all new management. I cant say much for the older bad reviews, but as of now I love it here and think everything is great!
This is the best place in the U-District area to call home! The apartments are gorgeous and omg, the office staff helped me with anything I needed. Their customer service will exceed your expectations. Miranda Scott is amazing and will make you feel like you’ve known her for year and you all are best friends! LIVE HERE!
A pleasant place to live as a graduate student. Very close to campus (only 12 min walking distance), quiet, in-unit laundry, cozy. Moreover, the management is good and well-organized as well.
Toured Nolan & Nora today and absolutely loved it! The prices make sense for the location and how nice the apartments are. The office staff was also incredibly kind and helpful. Cant wait to live here!
The staff here is fantastic! Im a little nervous to be moving here because Im from out of state, but the new manager already helped me feel right at home. I initially toured here because its so close to campus... I had no idea how nice it is!! Also the rooftop view is unbeatable!! Im so excited and blessed to be moving to a place as beautiful as this.
After living here since September, I thought it was great at first! While it is super close to campus and bus lines, unfortunately the apartments come with a slew of issues. As for me this included: packages being stolen, my TV has never worked or had cable despite asking for it to be fixed over 3 times, being lied to about the room I would be getting when I signed the lease, blinds falling down, being lied to that there was parking available, etc.The apartments are nice but definitely over priced for the lack of service you get. Fortunately they have hired a maintenance man who works very quickly- but before him many of my things were broken or not working for weeks. If you do voice your concerns to the manager she will make excuses and then mock you before the door even closes on your way out. The other review under my name is also false now, but for some reason I cannot delete itUPDATE: not sure how my review is a conflict of interest considering I absolutely loved working in the leasing office, but unfortunately had to quit due to an internship. I emailed HR/ Campus advantage twice, and the leasing manager Miranda 3 times with no solutions brought about and not even a response from HR. How are you replying to bad reviews but not replying to emails from concerned residents? This a hows where their priorities are.CURRENTLY: they are leaving ads on doors stating that if you leave a good review for Nolan and Nora apartments, you’ll be entered into a raffle to win $150. If you guys have such great service and apartments, why are you trying to pay people for reviews?
Building manager uses intimidation tactics to force tenants into unfavorable agreements. The other students that work here part time are genuinely helpful and caring however.Definitely look elsewhere. The units are tiny for its price, and building manager is a bully.
Nolan is very well organized. Study room is warm and cozy.
They hit you with typical landlord bs charges at the end when your lease is up for no other reason than price gouging...during a pandemic.
I loved my experience with Nolan apartments and especially loved the staff! I walked in on a random Friday afternoon with my friends, searching for apartments and asked if I could view a room. I knew that a lot of places require you to schedule viewings, but there was no harm in asking. So, to my surprise, one of the staff, Alexandra, went out of her way to show me apartments. There are three apartments that she showed me: Nolan (for multiple residents) and 2 Nora (Studios). I was interested in Nora apartments, since I was going to be living by myself. Little did I know, the other two apartments were not close to Nolan, so we would have to drive. The Nora apartments were closer to West campus of UW (right across from Elm Hall). Alexandra drove me and my friends in a cute and funny little car that looked like a golf cart called the Nora mobile to both the Nora apartment buildings. We viewed the rooms and were astonished by how nice everything was. I really liked the fact that everything was also pre-furnished. The Murphy bed/couch included and looks really nice in a studio, since it maximizes the room you have. There was also a fridge and washer/dryer inside the room, meaning you wouldnt have to go elsewhere to do laundry. My favorite part of the room was the spacious bathroom, which reminded me of those from hotels. The amenities were also pretty nice, since they included access to two rooftops (if you live in Nora you can also access the Nolan one), a two story gym, a study room, and a business meeting room. I then decided on the spot to put in a deposit and move into a Nora apartment because of how put together this apartment seemed. This is everything that you would need and more as a student. In fact, aside from just the apartments, all the staff were super friendly and helped me through the process of getting an apartment, since this is my first time moving out as a freshman. I was helped by Miranda and Alexandra and they were very helpful and answered all and any of my questions. They also told me about how they put together fun events from time to time that residents can attend and get together like a community. It seems pretty fun! All in all, I loved the community aspect of the apartment, the over-the-top amenities, and the friendly staff!
VERY friendly and helpful staff. Give out lots of freebies and never hesitate to assist you and lend a helping hand. Apartment facility as a whole is clean and gym is small but ideal.
Totally avoid living in this apartment. There is a construction on going outside the building. And it started every morning at 5am, which makes a huge noise and causes serious influence to my daily life. Also they forced me to purchase an insurance for a year, costed 200 dollars, while I only stayed for three months. The customer service and maintenance service are totally terrible. Just avoid living here.
Absolute amazing customer service, helped me whenever I needed it, and always answers any questions I had
The LIV apartment is really bad about being transparent with any changes happening with management, and they have a ridiculous 18$ convenience fee if you want to pay rent online. The rooms are also super small relative to the amount of rent youd be paying, so youre probably better off finding a better apartment where youll get your value for your money.
So bad !!!!!Firstly try to separate me with my roommate who I wrote on the lease when I move in (They promised us I will live with my friends and asked me to pay last two month rents to ensure our rooms, but they changed their minds a month before I move in). When I come the first day (Sep.22), they again asked me to pay for the first month rent so that I can move in. Then a few days later(Oct.5), they charged me 65 dollors of late rent fee without any e-mails or notifications. I dont know what rent fee is it, Didnt I just paid you three months fee few days ago??? Just so bad and so money eyes, I dont recommend any of you to live here, truly!!!!
My interaction with NORA/NOLAN has been nothing if not amazing. The leasing manager and everyone Ive interacted with has been super polite, low-pressure, and empathetic. Even the few instances wherein I saw them interacting with residents were really polite and positive. As for the units themselves- theyre pretty amazing for whats being asked- theyre bright, spacious, and really modern. And its not just me; when considering where to live, I asked everyone I knew who was living off-campus for their opinions. Every. Single. Person. I know who has been living here has had nothing but positive things to say about the rooms and management; which was a pleasent contrast to the other reviews over here, and my interaction with the building staff confirmed this.Fully furnished apartments that are 1.5-2.0x the size of what HFS is offering at nearly the same price at a stones throw from campus; honestly- amongst the 20 or so competing apartments Ive seen around, if youre looking for no-fuss apartment living similar to the dorms but without actually living within the dorms- go with them, you wont regret it.
Decent place, small rooms (just good enough for a person), good quality of fixtures/fridge/microwave/bathroom/kitchen faucets. gym equipments are enough for a casual workout. safeway and university way restaurants in such a close proximity keeps life lively!
Amazing people and staff! I’ll recommend to everyone I know!
Very good customer service and very welcoming environnement!
Completely horrible management. Everyone who works here is uniformed and lazy. I had to do their job for them to try and get my security deposit back. I called corporate and they were relatively helpful but the issue is still unresolved. If you ever have a question for the employees here expect an incorrect answer. People who worked at the front desk said it would be no problem to stay a few days past the lease. Turns out it was $1500 per day over. Asked about utility convenience fee of $18. Was told that it is avoidable if you set up reoccurring payments, yet they were unable to be set up. Every amenity they advertise is broken and when asked to fix it they ignore the issue. The rooms are nice here but if you respect yourself and ethical business practices do not live here. This business will surely reply saying either that I did not live here and/or that they are sorry about my experience. All they want to do is cover up their corporate issues rather than fix them. If you love being taken advantage of this is the place for you.
Great living environment and customer service
Brian, Miranda, Jason are awesome staffs here!
The building got finished being built by mid-August 2015. It is very recent and therefore safe. Has great facilities accompanying the place and a great view. It is next to safeway so there is no need to go far to shop. The location is also perfect since it is just a 15 min walk to Red Square or ~4-5 mins by bus.
Great customer service and friendly faces
Great place to live stacked with a bunch of amenities! Perfect for students from UW
DONT LIVE HERE! First of all the unit is way overpriced for what you are getting. While the location is close to campus it is also super skecthy at night especially being in front of safeway. The rooms are not soundproof whats so ever. You will not only be able to hear everything that your roomates do but also everything that the entire aprtment complex does so good luck sleeping. Managment doesnt enfocre the lease or help its tennants. My roomates boyfriends have moved in and I feel very uncomfortable, Ive been asking the leasing office for help since early winter and guess what the boyfriends are still here. The contract says they should have been evicted by now but here we are still. Overall horrible experience.update: this is the second time my roommate has almost assaulted me after constant harassment. Guarantee that management still wont do anything about their tenant endangering another tenant. This has been the most draining year of my life due to living situations that should have been dealt with.
Great experience. Modern and clean. Price too high.
Great property AND staff! Definitely recommend!
DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!! Every review is true, at first I didnt believe it and with housing filling up quickly for next semester Liv became my only option to not be homeless before classes start.I am relocating to Seattle to attend the University of Washington, to pursue my Masters. Im moving from Chicago and in an effort to have the smoothest transition I reached out to the team at Liv U District because of their close proximity to UWs campus and what appeared to be stellar amenities. For my dire situation (despite the horrific reviews the property has received) this was ideal as UWs graduate housing units filled up shortly after the housing selection began which left me desperate to find home elsewhere.A couple weeks ago I applied to live in a 4 person, 2 bath apartment with my best friend (who I refer to as my brother) on as the guarantor because I wont be working this year. Less than a week after paying Livs $250 security deposit I was notified that they had actually oversold the $1,089 per month unit I had signed for and that my lease was to be cancelled at the discretion of the landlord. This occurred less than a month away from the day I was supposed to report to Seattle for orientation. The option they presented, once again, AFTER I had applied, been approved, and paid my security deposit was to move into a $1,289 a month unit. When I spoke to a representative by the name of Nickolaus (Klaus) Geistert I was informed that units were going quickly and I didnt have much time to prepare.I am a full-time student who will be living on a fixed income provided entirely by student loans. When asked if the Liv would make any concessions to address the error they have committed if I was still willing to live there, I was told there would be none in accordance with the Fair Housing policies. Once again, the over sale of my original unit was the fault of the team working at Liv U District. Now, as of today, Ive signed the lease for the new unit but now Liv is insisting on further documentation from my guarantor after saying that his application was complete a week ago. My brother, who owns several properties here in Chicago believe that the entire ordeal seems suspicious and is cautious to provide this company with his information again. I was notified today by someone named Ben that if the desired information was not attained I wouldnt be allowed to move in but would remain financially responsible for the unit. To reiterate, a unit, I never desired, but signed for, because new student orientation begins the 18th of next month. I am simply trying to have the smoothest transition to Seattle to begin my studies, however, Ive been left to the mercy of a property management team that seems to prey upon those with limited options, which does not seem fair at all.I understand the importance of fair housing laws, however, it feels as though this organization is exploiting these regulations and using unfair practices to exploit students moving to Seattle dependent on federal funds in order to make a profit. At this point it feels as though I have no choice but to move into a hostile environment as I cannot delay my studies nor afford to pay for two apartments on student aid. I am desperately trying to ascertain in this scenario where the fairness lies. Who are these regulations protecting? In my experience and having spoken to property managers in Chicago when an error as egregious as the one Liv U-District has committed, where the landlord has sole ownership of the fault; they (the landlord) make the necessary concessions to provide world class customer service. Hundreds of young people move to Seattle every year to begin their graduate/professional studies at UW, how many cases such as mine have gone unreported? How much longer will this company be allowed to exploit the federal student aid system, young people in precarious financial positions, or be allowed to operate with little to no accountability?
Guys! DO NOT LIVE HERE!The service you get does not match up to the price you pay! Save your money and find other apartments that have better service for the same price!Sad to see that the five star reviews are from the STAFF MEMBERS themselves who work in the leasing office. so you know how biased that is lolDont get me wrong, the staff team as people make really nice humans, theyre friendly and love to talk to you. I love them as people. HOWEVER, the way the Management team is handling situations needs improvements here and there. Theres aspects that they could improve on to make Liv a better living space.
Beautiful property, and Im so glad I made the decision to move here. Management is extremely helpful and the location is perfect for me!
A place run by a full set of monkeys, don’t live here. Management team needs to be replaced. Don’t believe the random 5 star reviews, they seem to be by the staff members.
Watch out with pricing, my friend and I almost got roped into paying 3000 a month because rent is charged per person NOT per apartment. It was kept vague until we asked specifically about how rent works. And we only did because we noticed that the wording was odd for payment. It is hard to believe that this is for college students.
Moving in process was smooth
Marketed towards international students with a lot of money and not a lot of sense. Average.
Bad reviews are true, save your money and the headache.
Way to expensive for the living conditions
A great apartment in close proximity to the campus as well as the av. The rent for the apartment is worth as compared to other places offering a 4 bedroom unit.Definitely recommend it.
Stupidly forced the place to die, dont come to live here. The environment is not good enough. It is not worth the rent. I live on the second floor and open the window. The tramp can see me. I buckled 800 knives and said that I still smoke. There is no definite evidence that I am fierce and telling me to let me quit smoking. I am refusing you. The things in the apartment are broken. I am looking for someone to repair. I am slow to go to the room. When I am coming, the bed is collapsed. The same price can live elsewhere. I don’t want to come to a room that is a hundred times better.
