Wow ...My son and I spent a week looking at apartments in Seattle for his move in August ... And, while there are so many nice places in the market, it was an entirely different experience when we toured Kinects Tower - not just because of the place, but because of Kendra Smith (the staff member who became our counsel and guide). We looked at each other as we walked away from the tour and almost talked over one another to say how different the experience had been (and how Kendra is exactly the kind of person you would dream of as a face to introduce people to your company/organization). The staff has continued to be super helpful as we make the transition to renting the gorgeous apartment he found there and as we secure insurance and begin the process of planning move-in day. They even put up with our coming back to the property for a second look when we had narrowed the choice down to the last 2 possibilities. In fact, Ms. Smith made the rather perfect suggestion of having my son spend a bit of time, just him, in the space to see how it felt. Pretty incredible ... and rare ...As to the building itself, the community spaces are hard to beat (and, believe me, we looked at many comparable buildings). And, the gorgeous pool + stunning view (picture attached) is breathtaking and totally unique. Thank you to everyone who helped make this such a positive rental experience. Kinects Tower should be proud of the process, the place and particularly the people ...
Awesome Place! The leasing department is very quick to answer calls and always happy help! They set up your amenities as well. Rooftop is great as well. Perfect place for anyone new in Seattle!
We are very excited to move to Kinects Tower soon! We loved everything Kinects has to offer in terms of amazing views from the apartment, location and all the amenities.Kinects staff has been amazing. Kendra helped us a lot right from scheduling the tour, showing different floor plans and all the amenities, providing all the information needed to find a good apartment matching to our needs and guiding us through the whole leasing process. We highly recommend Kinects Tower to anyone looking to live near South Lake Union neighborhood!
So I moved here from Florida for work and had never been to Seattle prior, and while finding a nice yet affordable place to stay that was close to work was already hard enough, doing so remotely just added onto the challenge. At least thats what I thought until I found Kinects. Beautiful building, loads of amenities, and absolutely amazing staff. Kendra and everyone else at the leasing office made my moving experience exponentially easier than I thought it wouldve been. Anytime I had a question about the property someone was always there to answer the phone or quickly respond to an email. Move-in day was super simple and I was given my keys within minutes of walking into the door. The concierges are also super friendly, helpful, and fun to converse with.
This place is really nice and very good location. concierge is especially awesome.
Kinects stands out dramatically among a number of apartments in downtown Seattle, we are inspired by the amazing community amenities here. Staff are also very friendly and helpful: Kendra - our primary point of contact is so kind, and always attentive to our needs. Cant wait to call it home!
Colten is such a great Leasing Consultant at Kinects Tower. He really listened to my needs attentively and provided me the ideal apartment I want. I really enjoy my living in Kinects Tower and am very happy to renew my lease at Kinects Tower.
Ive lived in this building for 3 years. All have been great. Staffed has helped me everything Ive asked for. Maintenance has typically been same day. Very happy to find Kinects when they opened in 2017.
I have moved here yesterday. It is really good so far!Especially thanks to Justinas help! She is really nice and help finish the transition smootyhly!
While searching for an apartment, I found Kinects staff to be very helpful and responsive. Even on days that they were very busy, staff such as Kendra, prioritized the customers needs. The building is in a great location as well.
Just don’t choose them. The elevators always go down. Frequently. So basically they have four elevators but just one or none will be in service in the daytime, EVERY WEEKEND. You’ll be wasting a good amount of time waiting for the elevators trust me.
I toured Kinects Tower with my boyfriend and we LOVED the luxurious and clean feel of Kinects. Abigail Koski is amazing and ensured that we understood all that is offered in the units as well as the community amenities. One of my favorites being the pool on the top floor with outstanding views! We toured about 12 other apartment complexes around downtown Seattle and Kinects Tower was the best experience we’ve had thus far, not only because of how luxurious and beautiful it is but also because the staff, Abigail was welcoming and answered all our questions. My boyfriend and I both work in tech and need a lovely space to work remotely, so we were being picky and Kinects Tower exceeded our expectations. We ended up applying and can’t wait to move in!!!
Having leased at 3 different places in downtown over the last 3 years. Mostly because I struggled to find satisfaction in the amenities, construction around the building, and convenience. First of all aside from Insignia this building has the best amenities in downtown (although the ARC next door has a sweet gym). With a freaking sweet movie room, multiple common areas for cooking and chillaxin’, plus a rooftop pool this place can’t be beat. This apartment has a great and friendly staff, and assists residents in any way possible.
I moved to Kinects a month ago and my experience has been seamless so far! From the online tour to moving in and even now for day-to-day issues, Colten has been incredibly transparent and helpful at every step and I couldnt have asked for a better experience :) Even today, i had a minor issue with my washer and he personally came up to my apartment to help me out with it, as the electrician was out for the day, and actually fixed it for me!Apart from the excellent leasing experience, the amenities at Kinects are top notch, with 24 hr concierge and rooftop pool being some of the highlights. Even the luxor package delivery system has been very convenient for picking up packages. A big thanks to Colten, Abigail and Kendra for everything!
My husband and I are getting ready to start a new phase of our lives, after 35 years of home ownership and 3 months of searching over a dozen properties, we decide on Kinects. It was not only the beautiful homes and excellent amenities but Abigail Koski was so welcoming and knowledgeable we know this is where we wanted to live. Only draw back it that we have to wait a month to move in.
The apartment is located write in downtown and is beautiful. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Daniel H. I have never worked with a such proactive, attentive and trustworthy agent before. His communication skills were so impressive. He was there to provide insight for not only the apartment but the benefits of being in the area. I am so excited to move in and begin my new life In Seattle. Meeting people like Daniel puts me in good spirits!
Had very good experience in the community. The leasing staff Nico Rallis was very courteous and professional. He patiently answered all our questions and did his best to find us a very good deal!
The leasing experience at Kinects was painless. Our leasing agent Daniel helped us find something that was in our budget and we really liked! They were able to change their move in date on the apartment we liked and had it ready for us within a week. Communication was quick and easy. I would recommend checking this out especially if apartment hunting is making you burn out! Hope the experience living there is also as smooth.
I moved to Kinects from out of state almost a month ago. From the time that I toured the building two weeks prior to even now, the leasing agent Colten has been wonderful to work with. He has kept the lines of communication open and consistent. During the moving and paperwork process, he made sure he let me know what days he was out of office so I wouldnt think he was ghosting me.What sold me on Kinects is the 24 hours concierge (from a safety perspective) and the amenities including the incredible view on the 41st floor. There is so much space to work, or read or even if you want to cook or have your meals. Honestly, it feels very bougie to live here and I love it!My apartment specifically is better than I thought it would be (I hadnt toured this specific unit). I had a way better view than I thought I would and the extra closet turned out to be much needed! The nook alongside the kitchen is a great space for a desk if you WFH and doesnt take away from the living area, which is great since I have a studio. I leave my window open all the time and the construction noise doesnt bother me as 1. I usually have music playing and 2. its why I moved to a city..to hear city noises!Im a happy camper!
Yea, Nicholas is the guy! I was relocated and trying to find an apartment in Seattle. Nico was so kind and willing to help. We scheduled the virtual tour since I am not in Seattle right now. He followed up with my needs actively and even managed a parking promotion for me. That was amazing and I am really grateful.
Great apartment but paper walls, ceilings, floors. Also there is an extremely loud nightclub downstairs that plays bad techno music with screaming people all night every week (Kremwerks).Management wont do anything about it aside from noise complaint which is unreasonable since people are speaking at normal volumes... I can hear people several floors below me and peoples conversations next door.
I am moving from California to Washington and I scheduled a virtual tour with Kinects Apartments. Other than the apartments being absolutely beautiful, their customer service was awesome. Daniel Haile showed me around the different units and answered all my questions perfectly. He even sent me multiple emails after my visit with all the rooms I was interested in (with all the information I wanted too). Overall, I had a really good experience with Kinects Tower and Daniel. I will be definitely considering moving there!
Toured the building and was blown away by the apartment and amenities. The lobby/outside is simple so I didnt think it would be as nice, but it is definitely luxury living. Daniel from the leasing office is the best; he doesnt put any unnecessary pressure on, but goes above and beyond to show off the place.
Amazing apartment with even better service, Abigail Koski was such an awesome agent. She guided us throughout the tour and showed the beautiful amenities and helped us select the perfect apartment with a space needle view. We toured about 12 apartments and this was by far the best one! Looking forward to moving in, thank you Abigail Koski again for walking us through the entire process and helping with the application to ensure everything is correct. With your help we have found the apartment that will be welcoming us as the next tenants and can’t wait to move in!
Beautiful building, amazing views!!! Great location! 20 min walk to lake union. 5 mins walk to Cap Hill. Whole foods and other grocery stores minutes walk away. 24 hour concierge and keyless entry throughout the building. Pool and other amenities look amazing, have yet to experience due to Covid. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Management is quick to respond and resolves issues quickly. Could maybe use more covid precautions, ie. hand sanitizer near elevators or in package pick up hubs, etc. but overall doing well!
My friend and I got to tour Kinects with Colten and had the absolutely best experience. We werent expecting to tour the building when we did, but walked past and asked if there were any availabilities. Colten was gracious enough to rearrange his schedule to accomodate us and was able to show us a studio layout that we loved. What really sold us was the amenities (the rooftop pool and lounge areas are absolutely gorgeous). We also really appreciated that it never felt like Colten was salesy or pushing for us to sign - he really let the building speak for itself.
Had a smooth and wonderful experience with Daniel from the leasing office who showed me a few different floor plans I was interested in. He helped me with all my questions and concerns and I was able to get the information I needed to make a decision. As for the apartments - they look stunning and fairly priced. Looking forward to staying at Kinects.
I had a tour scheduled with Daniel which went really well considering the daunting times of pandemic. Daniel was on top of the questions and inquiries I had over the email and was also very supportive in making me finalize an apartment. Had a really great touring experience and support from management in finalizing an apartment.
Daniel was the best in showing the apartment. He was fantastic and helped walk through the whole process of applying. Apartment looks great, excited to move in!
Great location and positive touring experience. Nico is very helpful during my self-guided tour!
Recently went to kinects tower for a tour. Daniel was the agent. He was very accommodating as I had to reschedule my appointment last minute. He guided me perfectly for my tour and answered all my questions instructively. Good luck Daniel.
We requested for a tour of the property on a short notice. Daniel was our leasing specialist. He went above & beyond to get us scheduled. During the tour, he understood what we looking for, and showed us the right apartments. He explained all details to us clearly, which helped us make a decision quickly!
Nico has been a great leasing manager who was a constant help during my time at this building. I can highly recommend his highly professional assistance!
I worked with Daniel Haile during my attempts to find an apartment and he was a breath of fresh air in the process. Beyond his professionalism and astuteness, he showed a genuine interest and concern for my well-being and happiness as I searched for my new home. Apartment hunting has long been one of my least favorite activities, but working with Daniel has made the process insurmountably better and if I could bring him along for all of my future moves, I would! Thank you for all of your attentiveness and candor. It was an absolute pleasure.
This review is solely for the leasing process. Daniel Haile was such a gem to work with! I constantly bombarded him with a lot of emails and questions and he was always quick to respond and very helpful. He helped me find the perfect apartment after listening to my demands- price range, white island, etc. When we found an apt that exceeded the price range I had wanted, he made sure to keep me in mind and reach out immediately when the price dropped for that apartment. Daniel clearly values every potential resident and you will realize it when you get the chance to work with him!
Kinects is a beautiful property with fantastic amenities. Shoutout to Colten for all of his help during the process.
During the pandemic, I had a wonderful leasing experience working with Abigail Koski - she was extremely transparent and reliable throughout the entire process. I had a self-tour due to covid-19 precautions and toured two apartments. Abigail was there at the end to follow up and guided me with the application. Thank you Kinects Tower - beautiful apartment complex with awesome amenities.
The building & apartments are beautiful. Daniel’s guidance & customer service was excellent. I hope everything works out so I can make this my next home.
Just finalized my lease and I must say working with Daniel has been an absolute pleasure! He’s been accommodating and always ready to help out since day one during the tour. Excited to be spending the next 12 months here!
I love living here! The management and staff are friendly and accommodating, and we chose this building because we liked the staff. I highly recommend this building! :)
I lived in Kinects for 2½ years and really enjoyed living in there. I loved looking over the city in the cool breeze of the rooftop decks, swimming in the pool even in the winter, soaking up the sun in the solarium, working on my laptop from the shared living rooms on the 6th and 41st floors, and watching movies in our own theatre! The staff always quickly resolved any maintenance issue I had.
I’m a new resident to Kinects and moved in mid-August and have had a great experience thus far. I didn’t live here when all these crazy reviews were posted, so I just wanted to share our recent experience. Will update this review if anything changes for us.My partner and I have been searching for a new place in SLU/Belltown and called multiple apartment complexes in the area (to name a few: Ascent SLU - terrible experience, denied our request for same-day tour, incompetent leasing agent sent us wrong in-tour video 3 times; AMLI - could not connect directly to a leasing agent, difficult experience). Within a couple minutes of submitting my online inquiry for Kinects Tower, Daniel H. gave me a call with more details regarding the apartment, and happily scheduled a Zoom meeting for virtual tours within the hour. After our virtual tour, we scheduled an in-person that same day (the only apt. complex in the area that assisted us with same-day tours). We had the option to do an unguided tour (due to COVID), or a guided tour. We decided to do a guided tour since we had some questions about the community and application process, and Daniel was a huge help answering all our questions and concerns. The units we toured were clean with great views and our touring experience was so great, we decided to apply that night. What felt impossible to get done with other apartment complexes, our touring experience @ Kinects was simple and easy. Within a couple of days, we were approved. We didn’t sign the lease until 2-3 weeks after, though, because the manager that sets up the DocuSign was OOO, however, the lease was fully executed well before our move-in date.Due to COVID-19 precautions, they have the apartment vacant for 3 weeks before new tenants move-in, so our move-in date was pushed out a couple weeks, but it was comforting to know they take those kinds of precautions during this pandemic. When we got our keys @ move-in, Felipe at the front desk gave us a thorough rundown on the operations of the apartment complex (e.g. trash chutes, dry cleaning, elevators, mail rooms, visitors, etc.) We were notified that our carpets were not yet cleaned since the cleaning company had some issues due to COVID and that they will be cleaning our apartments that day. Though we hoped the unit would be move-in ready, that circumstance is understandable, and yes, sure enough, the carpets did get cleaned within a couple of hours. When we arrived at our unit, we were welcomed with a bottle of Prosecco as a welcome gift from the Kinects Team (wow!). The apartment itself was cleaned very well, all the appliances, A/C, etc. worked and were well maintained. They have a large freight elevator specifically for moving in furniture, and we reserved a 3 hour time slot for the elevator. Due to some delays with our movers, we arrived 2 hours after the start of our window, and Denise at the front desk was super kind and extended our freight elevator reservation so we had a full 3 hour window.I’ve had a great experience here overall, and all the staff and tenants have been nothing but kind and considerate. Big thanks to Daniel H. for all his help throughout our leasing process. Daniel was always quick to respond, answered all our questions in a timely manner, and was always transparent about everything. If you’re looking to lease here, I would request Daniel H. as your Leasing Consultant! Some things I’ve read on the other reviews that I also wanted to comment on:- Two organized package rooms, managed via app. No problems so far.- Due to COVID, 1 household/elevator. I’ve had to wait in a line to go up, but that’s understandable during peak times @ night. Doesnt happen often.- Free amenities- they do not cost $300. Gym, pool, cinema closed due to COVID. Rooftop is open though!- We are on floors 35+ so we cannot hear much construction noise. Notice is given when construction projects are going on & all construction work is performed under noise variance permits.- Yes, the front desk is there 24/7.
My wife and I had a tour with Daniel today and he showed us exactly what we were looking for. He was knowledgeable, personable and kept it real. I definitely recommend anyone touring Kinetics to ask for Daniel.
Ive never left a Google review before, but amazing customer service deserves one. This 5-star review is solely regarding Nico Rallis, one of the leasing consultants. Minus Nico, I would give this place 2.5 stars. From day one, Nico made my Seattle housing search so easy and refreshing! He was there every step of the way and was able to get me into a great unit. The unit had great square footage, an island, a gas stove, a place for my dining table, and the amenities were very nice. He literally found me a unit with everything on my list!As for the cons, the neighborhood can get a little sketch; the trash room is always a hot mess; the water bill and billing are out of control; and the floors in my unit were unlevel. My last water and sewage bill was over $200+ for 14 days! My final bill for the apartment included $688 in charges for (one month of water/sewage $270+, 14 ish days of water/sewage at $200+, and a few move out we made up some damage charges). I paid it because I was over it. They could also use a little upgrading. For my first place in Seattle, this place was decent. I dont regret it and enjoyed my time there.
Nice apartments and concierge but terrible management. I stayed there for 12 months and would have leased it again if only my move-in and move-out was not extremely stressful and inconvenient.
Touring experience at Kinects with Daniel Haile was awesome, thorough and informative touring! Apt is awesome, views are great
I would like to thank Nico R for the great leasing experience. He replied my questions quickly and clearly. Its been the most comfortable experience I have ever had.
Had an incredible time in Kinects! Miss it every day. Shout out to Nico Rallis (agent) and Denise (concierge) for being the best!
Lovely individual apartments, terrible management. While living there they never respond, leave you hanging for months on complaints. After leaving you have to threaten legal routes to get your deposit check back which they forget to send. Total incompetence and a waste of a nice place.
Just moved in and the place is great beautiful views very clean all the staff is very professional and kindI spoke with Daniel at the leasing office the most and he did a great job finding me the perfect new homeVery pleased with my move and new homeThanks
Met Daniel here and he is one awesome leasing guy. Took us around to see this amazing building and answered all our questions thoroughly.
We did not feel accommodating as we did not hear back on emails properly, and did not at all on the last email. Really hope that we would have toured with Daniel instead.
This review is specifically related to my leasing experience (as I have not moved in yet). Ive moved into new apartment buildings each year for over 10 years now and Nico R has delivered the easiest and best experience so far. He is prompt with his follow ups, extremely communicative, and goes out of his way to make a move as simple as possible for a new tenant. Thanks for everything Nico!
Beautiful building, cool staff. Just wish there was a bench press in the gym, haha...
*My name is Frank and I am a Critic. My appointment was with Daniel Haile at 4:30 pm and I was seen @ exatly 4:30 pm, very punctual. He was personalbe, knowledgeable, & courteous. Employees typically are reflections of the establishment. The building is very industrial/modern, with bare concrete pillars lining the hallways, and concrete ceilings with thin score marks in them to appear as though they are large cement tiles hanging above your head. This was accompanied by large pictures hanging from the walls that were covered with wallpaper which changed color floor to floor. The building is very new (3years old) and thus has new everything, from paint, new gym equipment, indoor pool, appliances in rooms/community areas, dog- walk around the building on 6th floor, pet wash, and an amazing view for everyone on the 41st floor. All in all, I would highly recommend to others due to good area, price, close distance to necessities/shops/transit, and apartment amenities. If you have anymore questions regarding my experience, feel free to ask.
Weve been here since March and have really enjoyed our first year here. Very quiet in our apartment, friendly concierge, and responsive maintenance. The residents are friendly and the location is perfect since we both commute (one North and one South) for work on I-5. The neighborhood is still developing (and will be for several more years), but there is plenty of places to walk to and enjoy.
Daniel was great - fun to work with, professional, and gave me a great impression of Kinects.
Loved living at Kinects! The best apartment I have ever stayed at. The views are incredible, the amenities (lounges in particular) are the best around, and the management is extremely friendly/helpful. Anthony is unlike any other leasing agent we have worked with in the city. He patiently showed us about a dozen apartments without coming off as a used car salesman and never made us feel pressured to commit.
Amazing views, but truly terrible management. They seem nice, but simply dont reply to any emails until you call or drop by multiple times. Be very careful about late payment. They only do a 3-day payment window, and once you are past due, the next day you will find a 14-day notice saying either pay the rent or vacate (which is so ironic compared with how slow they deal with your emails).
This June My husband and I will have lived here for two years. There has been a lot of changes in the management and the leasing staff. I feel the changes have been a tremendous blessing in a excellent way! The manager Stephanie and the assistant manager who was Laura who recently left was a awesome person, she was a wonderful mother and she was awesome at her job. But she had to leave which was very sad to see her leave, but the new assistant manager Kirsten she is young and very friendly and very business like and she really has stepped in when Laura left. Kirsten is a very caring person and she is always willing to put in the long hours to make sure she takes care of her clients. She doesnt treat you like a client she treats you like a friend. Anthony who has been hear i believe since I have been and his last day is actually today, but I want everyone to know that Anthony always took his job serious. He made sure if he wasnt able to answer your question or concern he would do anything he could to answer your question. I always felt confident when Anthony was able to help me out. He will surely be missed. The new young lady who just recently started working at Kinects when you walk in the office and Abigail would be sitting their she always has the most professional look but also such a comforting and loving smile to greet you with. If i walk in the office feeling sad I see Abigail her smile always makes me smile. Then you cant forget Nico he is the one that makes it so much fun with his joking around for fun, he will always make you laugh. Then just to also say a little bit more about Kirsten she too you can count on always making you smile and always leaving the office in a better way then you came in. One last thing the maintenance staff here are awesome! They always do there best to do your request asap. Please know that if my husband and didnt want someday to have our own home we would consider making this our final home. The staff, the building amenities are incredible and they do a really good job keeping the building clean. If you are looking for a place for you and your pet this is the place to live. THANKS TO ALL OF THE KINECTS STAFF YOU ALL ARE INCREDIBLE!!!
Update: There have been few improvements and the regular outage seemed to have calmed down. So, bumping it up to 3 stars.Ive been living here more than an year now. The apartment is full of problems. There elevators keep getting shut down. There has been a water shortage and were told to use a common bathroom! When I moved in, they sold me hard on free amenities. All of a sudden they started charging ridiculous amounts. The apartment team has been condescending and dismissive. For the high rent they charge, this apartment is not worth it.
Constant and loud construction noise starting before 5am every morning.Nobody informed me about it before signing the contract.
I would not recommend to live here. The view is good but that is all it has. The noise is loud for lower floors and the management is very poor. You can’t imaging how difficult it is to receive a package here and sometimes your package can just be missing.2nd edit:This place is a place full of mysteries. If you are a person who loves surprises, it will be a fit. Mysteries include but are not limited to (based on my experiences):1. You will never sure whether and when front desk or concierge will be there.2. You will never sure whether and when you are able to receive your packages.3. You will never sure whether and when the elevator is coming.4. You will never sure whether and when the constructions near the building will start to create some noises.5. You will never sure whether your deposit will come back in the end of your lease.
Kinetcs Tower was my second apartment tour in Seattle. The apartment was stunning for a 1 bedroom, and to my surprise a pool at the top. Anthony was very knowledgeable and friendly about the area and gave me a lot of useful information in regards to cultural life where to go etc. While I chose not to stay at Kinetcs Tower, Anthonys advice about Seattle was one of my best experiences in Seattle so far. Beautiful place knowledgeable staff.
So obviously Kinects tower has hired a concierge company to handle the packages and front desk and I have had the worst experience with this concierge company so far. I received an email telling me my package is WAITING for me at the package room around 4 pm today. I went to pick it up around 6 pm and they were doing a package audit so they couldnt find my package right away, meaning that I need to wait 30 mins for them to finish the audit and then they will know where my package went. Because I needed the package right away so I asked if they could let me go find it myself. The leasing staff was very friendly and agreed to let me go through one mess of a package room. I explained myself and reason why I needed the package now, this tall black guy with glasses whos been responsible for sorting out packages today, told me there could be an error with the carrier, that I need to come back later without even helping me look up my package, so I waited for 30 minutes cause it was really important. During the wait, 3, 4 tenants came for packages and all of them needed to go dig their own package up simply because this guy couldnt find it. And the same carrier error excuse came up several times. Theres one time a tenant came asking for her package, I misheard the unit number and saw the package on the shelf, I kindly told the guy the package is over there and he responded you need to step out of this room, I know how to do my job. but obviously he doesnt because he couldnt find her package as well. After auditing, I was still waiting for him to get my package but then he just sat there and did nothing. Later I found out my package(small envelope) was lying on the ground yet seconds ago he still claimed that USPS made a mistake and my package isnt here. This is the rudest concierge I have ever encountered, didnt know why he got hired in the first place.
Concierge is a terrible human being. Not even going to write it down here. So traumatic it was. Ill just say, dont try to get in the building while having an accent. For the person who answers reviews, investigate the concierge from May 15th at 7pm, then try to reach back.
They took my $350 to apply, it said it was quick and I’d get a refund if they didn’t approve me. Turns out that refund will be mailed in 2-3 weeks and since I don’t have a forwarding address I won’t be getting a refund. Horrible and deceitful, bordering on theft, don’t ever apply there unless you are sure you will be approved because don’t count on getting your money back
Starting from the weekend, I’ve tried to contact with their leasing office several times to express the interests in available studio apartments and wanna get some pictures of those apartments, every time I called they promised they would send out an email with pics and details before EOD, by far I still haven’t got any emails from them about details of apartments. They are so irresponsible and slow when I am a potential tenant, I couldn’t image how they will treat us when we have signed the lease.
This place was nice at the beginning, but seemed to have gone downhill as time went on. The leasing office is pretty unprofessional and not helpful at all. We were having an issue with our lease and were told that Laura, the assistant manager, was the only person we could speak with in order to get it resolved. The trouble with that was, every time we went to look for her, she was never in the office. Also, forget about even trying to get an honest answer from Carolyn, Damyn, or any of the others in the office because, from personal experience, they will look you straight in the eyes and tell you something you know for a fact is a lie. Like, it could be written right there in black and white and you can read it aloud word for word, yet they will insist that it says something else type of lying. To top it all off, it would be rare to see someone at the front desk which was problematic for food and package deliveries.Yes, this place has a pool, but it constantly has issues along with the elevators. The apartments themselves are alright at first glance, but finishes and quality of the floors and appliances are just meh when you consider how much youre paying in rent. The only constant here was the maintenance. Any problems or things we needed fixed were always responded to quickly and efficiently so if thats the only thing youre looking for in an apartment building, then there you go. Otherwise, with all of the places that are being built in the city, there are plenty of other options to look at and my advice would be to shop around and do your due diligence when it comes to finding what kind of service you can expect from competing property management companies.
Just moved back to Seattle. Struggled finding the right blend of amenities, location, and views. Moved in November 1. Leasing staff was awesome (thanks Damon & Anthony!). Close to everything and stellar views!
VERY UNPROFESSIONAL STUFF. I was living here 2018. After moving out the apartment owe me deposits and referral bonus. Leasing office stuff, especially Laura, NEVER respond my email and phone call and I have to file LAWSUITS get money back. Besides, I asked for changing parking plot but after the change I keep getting warnings for wrong spot, like they NEVER notify parking enforcement. AWFUL SERVICE DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!
DO NOT MOVE IN HERE! We moved in mid September and have already decided to move out. The management at Kinects is terrible. The building is not secure due to the lack of stable concierge / security. The elevators are often broken which causes residents to take as many as 41 flights of stairs. My husband had to go down 38 flights of stairs to get to work one day because 3/4 elevators were broken and the 1 working elevator was being used for another early move out. The building wide trash chute / compactor has been broken for over two weeks. Residents are required to take their trash down in the elevator to the loading doc area - where there are large piles of rarely maintained trash. The leasing agents will assure you that you will not hear construction from the building projects around Kinects. YOU WILL. The loud construction noises start around 6am and go through out the day - often continuing into the weekend. The package center is a mess. It takes many days to get a package notification. Packages often sit in the hallway until they are entered into the system - which makes them very easily stolen.TL;DR - DO NOT SIGN A LEASE AT KINECTS
I live here and the amenities and staff are awesome did I mention the rooftop swimming pool or the awesome private cinema room? Probably the best high rise to live in downtown seattle and the staff supporting the building are so professional and customer experience focused...!
Update, 7 months later: nothing has changed.See image for a recent example of bad management - utility bills that have quadrupled over the past year, and not a single response from the Kinects staff in over 2 weeks.----------------------------------------------------------The reviews below pretty much cover it - to sum it up:+ Amazing views+ Gym has good cardio machines- $300 to use the amenities. $300. Insulting.- Elevators are never not broken- Package system is a mess- Concierge service doesnt do much- Amateur leasing staff does not follow through on anything - had to stop by well over 15 times to complete a lease. To be clear, theyre nice. They just dont do what they say theyre going to do.
DO NOT RENT HERE. They erroneously charge you incorrect amounts then threaten to evict, management staff needs to constantly be followed up for fixing this when it happens (and they never bother to respond let alone apologize) - water shutoff with no notice - constant noise from construction (we were explicitly told there would be none by the staff when touring) and the elevators are constantly broken.Half the time when calling the management office it goes to voicemail and a mailbox full message.Attitude of the management staff is arrogant and dismissive, this would not be acceptable anywhere, let alone a premium priced building. We could live with everything else (we know problems and mistakes happen) but the attitude of the staff is what make it simply unacceptable.
So NOT move here. Terrible leasing office that has made mistakes multiple times costing me literally thousands of dollars on top of terrible elevator service. Even before they closed all the amenities this apartment was a terrible deal. Look elsewhere.
They require $300 for the application but I was told my money would be refunded if my application was denied, they denied my application and won’t refund my money. It’s a scam thieves and liars!!!
Extremely unprofessional staff who are rude, dismissive, and slow. Over a few weeks, I have lost several packages already in the package room when the carrier clearly shows delivered with a photo. Everyday, I have to wait for 10 minutes at a time for the elevator due to only 1 or 2 being in service from maintenance or defects. At the end of the month, I get hit with exorbitant fees for this kind of service. This must be the price to pay to live in a newer apartment in South Lake Union.
Editing my review. Ive been a tenant here for a few years and staff got much better. Facilities people are awesome and the concierge is greatElevator can get busy with covid, but hey, thats covid for ya
We fell in love with Kinects tower through a long distance relationship. My husband accepted a job in Seattle while we were living in Texas. We looked through every apartment complex we could find online looking for our new home. And then we found Kinects. Ah!!! All the photos were beautiful, its in the perfect location for my husband to walk to work, AND they have a pool! Our kids HAD to have a pool. We were smitten. I called and spoke to Taylor who completely understood our long distance problem and took it upon herself to fix it. She made a video tour of the apartment we were interested in and emailed it to us. The views were everything we had dreamed of and so much more. I immediately emailed Taylor back, Well take it!!! 3 words I have come to thank myself for writing over and over again. When we arrived here in August, we were blown away. The view was even better than the video (didnt think that was possible, but it was). And the people were so welcoming and kind. Our kids love all the high fives and fist bumps they receive from the staff here. And now they tell me that the concierge, Jason, is their best friend. Our kids have thanked us over and over for finding this apartment. Its now December and even with a few foggy days here and there, my husband and I still find ourselves staring out the windows soaking in the view instead of watching TV. We have absolutely no regrets for renting this apartment sight unseen (well kind of unseen, thanks to Taylor). Our only regret is not signing a longer lease. We cannot say enough good things about our new home here.
The management is terrible. I paid my final bill after I moved out. But they asked me to pay the debt again through a third party company. When I called to clarify, they said I had to contact the third party company.
The worst packaging system I ve ever experienced. I already lost 2 packages worth $2000 stuff after only living here for 3 months. Things were all deliveried but missing at the apartment. The office or concierge will just tell you its the carriers mistake that they didnt delivery the package. But cmon, I ve been using ups and usps for years never had this issue. and It just happened two times after moving here? The new locker system is a mess and trash. Often getting invalid codes or no code for my package. I even once opened a locker with someone else package, imagine If I take that package and just leave? The concierge is unprofessional at all. Seems like they dont know any answer I ve ever asked and promised me to get back to me which would never happen. Leasing management should put more resources on solving current issues than just getting more leases. They are working on finding my second lost package but progress been slow and I ll have to push and step in to office daily to get an update.
EDIT: Management have addressed the key issues in the past two months. The receptionists are now 24/7 and very professional. There’s an automated Luxor parcel system which is great. Hot water issues seem fixed and management seem more in top of things. Changing to 5 stars!I really want to love this place as the amenities are so nice and the views are amazing.Unfortunately around a quarter of the time the TV controllers are lost so you can’t use them and I’ve had a few embarrassing encountered where a group of friends are over and we can’t find the remotes. The main irritation is the parcel organisation system is in shambles. There is no good way to really get your packages to you and I’ve had two lost. I asked to be put on a list where they can deliver to your room however they no longer offer this so you have to work through a room towering with packages and hope you don’t miss yours. There is a dedicated parcel manager who is lovely but he has to work through a very messy system in a messy room. While the receptionists are lovely people, they seem pretty uncomfortable which makes me sad when I walk into the building. The leasing process was also not smooth as there was a handover and my case fell through the cracks and my paperwork was not done until I emailed a few times and signed the day before my removalists were coming which was quite stressful. Additionally they notified me a few hours before my removalists arrived that they could not come at 7pm as the reception would be closed which was very stressful, but after talking to the leasing agent, he personally stayed behind as the removalists were already on their way which was very kind.If I shower after 3am the water doesn’t really get hot which is annoying after a big night you just wanna scrub clean.Communication is very poor. We have a site portal where reception communicates to us which is nifty. In there I’ve asked reception/management some questions and on all cases I’ve never received a reply.Any one issue is easily overlooked but just all the issues together have made the experience pretty disappointing. The building is so beautiful, it’s a shame to have been let down by management. Some redeeming features is the Sonos speakers on each amenities level that always works perfectly so I can play my music, doesn’t cost to rent spaces, community is great and the view is spectacular. I’d say I overall enjoy living here, but it definitely lacks the finish for the price.
I work with over 40 Apartment Communities in the PNW helping them attract and retain residents through high end commercial coffee machines (mainly in Lobbys and Community Areas). Ive developed many relationships and friends in the industry so Ive toured alot of places.Top reasons we chose Kinects over other communities: killer views, our 10 year old daughter loves the pool and my wifes smile is priceless everytime we come to our new home.Adam and James are a pleasure to work with. Security Properties is a pleasure to work with.SO excited about this place ☺️👍🏼.
You just CANNOT see the concierge after 8pm EVERY SINGLE DAY and the hours are until 11pm. Had perishable packages sent and wasn’t able to pickup until next day. Moving out for sure.
