So great to be back but very empty. Old morning crew is not there. The gym is clean and well organized. The clean team in the morning is constantly working. It feels good to be back and I hope they are able to stay open.

Never trust them your credit card, 4 month after canceling my membership they restarted charging me without my knowledge for months (6 to be exact) doubling the membership fee.

Been going to this location for a few years now. Has all the weights and exercise equipments that I need to get a good workout. So what it doesnt have a basketball court, a pool, and other amenities that other NYSC locations have. Im there to lift and thats exactly what Im going to do.

Manager there is a liar and misrepresents fees as well as not answering calls. I’ve asked them to cancel my membership 9 months ago and I still get charged and have to dispute the charges. Unbelievably mismanaged.Again I get emailed that you are trying to charge my card literally over 12 months since I’ve cancelled. WORST MANAGEMENT IN THE WORLD. OLD GM, NEW GM, doesn’t matter. All horribleUpdate: still the worst.

Would be better if it had windows. Also members can be messy. Staff tries but no need not to clean after yourself. Luz is great.

I can not wait for this gym to be open. They charged for April which was a bummer but they are clean managed well (at least location billing issues with corp. Not the biggest gym but it has everything you need. Trainers are friendly and knowledgable and have given me tipa. without charging me. Parking is great. Equipment and facilities are outdated but that is pretty normal for gyms. No chalk policy also needs to be changed but maybe not during covid.

Okay gym...A little bit dated equipment and missing some key pieces. Good value though.

Do yourself a favor and don’t go to this club. Staff is not helpful at all (Gabby especially) and watch out for termination fees.There are cheaper options (blink) or better value options (orange theory) nearby.

I wish I could give this place no stars. I have never dealt with such horrible customer service. NYSC simply wants to steal money from their customers and could care less about their customers wants and needs. Here are the few from so many issues I had to deal with regarding my membership. First my monthly membership doubled without warning or advance notice. Took months to resolve this as I was not given a real reason the monthly membership went up and apparently they do not issue refunds. This left such a bitter taste in my mouth that in November i canceled my membership. Guess what though, still getting charged a monthly fee even after being charged a cancellation fee. What in the world is this? I am appalled.

It’s convenient to where I live but compared to other NEw York sports clubs it’s really disappointing. There is no consistency in the machines. The showers in the men’s room are disgusting. Four shower stalls in the men’s locker room. 1 shower puts out scalding hot water (when it’s in order), another shower puts out cold water, one has little pressure and lukewarm water, I don’t know what the handicap shower does (I don’t use it out of respect for the elderly members and disabled). The steam room has trash and I am certain is never clean. I do not trust the complimentary shampoo conditioner and body wash dispensers. There was blood on the floor in the locker room, and a bloody towel on the shelf. I called the front desk and they came in to clean it, but did not do it with a blood pathogen clean up. So basically the mop used on the floors is probably contaminated. The staff is loud and obnoxious, I can hear them jeering through noise canceling headphones. The staff that run the front desk and the daycare are gems in the rough, they are very respectful and polite.

Staff is nice. Was a hartsdale member before this. Its never busy when I go 10pm. They have all the equipment I need.Its smaller but parking is free which is why I come here instead of white plains.

Great gym, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and convenient classes for midday availability. Place is hygienic and quaint. The equipment is in good condition, and maintained timely.

Worst costumer service! Stealing money!

Super convenient location and decent equipment, but anything dealing with memberships or personal training is borderline fraud. It is impossible to cancel a membership and they lie about the costs associated with personal training. Be very careful.

I was considering joining so I went for a workout and half the equipment I personally planned to use was broken. Multiple people were waiting around awkwardly to use a lot of the things that did work. Also, Im pretty sure the treadmills (I tried two) were not accurate. Finally, there were a few teenagers that were kind of just in the way, messing around and not really working out but still hogging equipment for literally no reason at all. Im not sure if this is always the case, but I definitely wont be going back to this gym.

Great gym. Has everything i need. Please be ready to replace the Punching bags or get more. You are down to 1 good one for the entire gym to use.

Ive been an active member of NYSC for 5 years now. I visit various locations like Dobbs and Scarsdale. Unfortunately, I had the worst experience at the Scarsdale location. The manager on duty, Knox, has exhibited very rude and unprofessional behavior. I have seen before my eyes him grab a mans belongings in a spin class, and move his chair to another one for no apparent reason. For myself, I was adjusting my spin chair and Knox childishly throws a tantrum, picking up MY belongings and ESCORTING me out the building telling me to NEVER return. I was HUMILIATED and EMBARRASSED in front of everyone. I am a dark toned middle eastern women, who had no idea why this was happening. I tried to email the corporation and they SIDED with them. SO please do not say to email you guys because YOU DID NOTHING TO HELP ME. I have disputed my charges and demanded an apology. This was by far the most humiliating thing to happen to me in front of the entire gym, solely for ADJUSTING my seat. As i write this, I still can not understand what I did to upset Knox, but it is clear he is UNSTABLE. Many employees have complained about his behavior and INAPPROPRIATE language. I STILL demand an apology in front of the people he humiliated me in front of, and for his termination. This was an unethical, inappropriate display of how not to treat a paying member who has been loyal for about 5 years. I will NEVER give them my money again. If NYSC wants to make it up to me, they will have Knox email me to come in an apologize. Other than that, I am not going to stop until something is done. I definitely have reported to the BBB where they have over 300 complaints one year.

For the price its a bit out dated. By the appearance id expect this to be a $20 a month gym. The gym itself is very small, the locker room and shower area is cramped and could use a good renovation.I gave it two stars because they went above and beyond for the cancellation process. Usually its a real headache to cancel a gym membership. The manager, Mike, allowed me to shoot him an email for the cancellation and it was done.

Justin is extremely talented. He makes personal training fun. I was a little intimidated when I started, but each time Im getting stronger. And its due to Justin.

Now that Irwin who worked at front desk is no longer employed there the reception at front desk is nil. He was the BEST!. He was worth his weight in gold. I hope Wilson does not quit he is also super pleasant.

NYSC charged me for annual dues a month after my wife cancelled her membership. It is a terrible practice to charge a customer for the following year after they cancel a membership. NYSC should be ashamed of their business practice especially because the Scarsdale gym has old damaged equipment, unplugged tread mills with signs on them and less then clean facility.You should correct this practice and return the charges !!!

Machines frequently broken...I told staff 3 weeks ago about damaged machine and as of today, it still was not repaired. Staff unavailable for assistance...and doesnt seem to respond to reported problems.Classes have been great.

I joined this club because of its convenience and because of the concern toward people with physical challenges demonstrated by its General Manager Michael Prestano. He is very nice and not intimidating. So for those who maybe feel deconditioned or too limited, come over and ask for Michael. I am very happy here and I designed my own workout with classes and stretching and some cardio. But I feel I am welcomed. As long as Michael runs this club it will be in good hands and I will feel valued here.

This gym is very crowded with equipments often broken. What is worst is its marketing approach. They will always tell you that there is a deal ends today to entice you to sign up if you are new. Once you sign up, they dont give a damn about you, their attitude are rude, and you cant downgrade the membership as they will ask you to pay full price. There is always promotion going on, but that is only available to new members so each member pays different membership fee. Can you imagine that? You pay 40, the new member only pays 20, when you ask for price match, they admit the price difference but just rudely reject your request of price match !

Its AWESEOME! when its closing time Terrell works out too. He doesnt rush you to leave which makes my late night workout even more intense with that extra 10-15 mins it takes! thank you so much

Went to this location because it’s the only one open on Christmas. Disgusting place. Filthy, many cardio machines not working, locker room was a pig stye. Couldn’t wait to get out of there. Only good thing was the nice person at the reception desk. Sorry for the short review, I have to run to Urgent Care to see if I picked up any diseases at NYSC Scarsdale

I have been exercising at NYSC in Scarsdale for about ten years now and not a single machine has been replaced. Every other machine in the gym is out of service or being repaired, but nothing changes. Half of the treadmills do not read accurate speeds, the elliptical machines make creaky noises, and the mats are dirty. The NYSC in White Plains has replaced its machines at least twice in this same time frame. Do not join this gym if you seek clean, up-to-date workout machines.

5 Stairmaster machines are all broken. 3 of them have been broken for at least 1 year.

Dedicated group of people show up for the 5:45 and 6am classes. Best early classes are spinning on Monday 5:45 with Lisa D, Thursday 6am boot camp with Bo. The Tuesday 6am is a good weight class, but teacher is ALWAYS late.

Don’t ever join here. They will tell you one price for a membership and then bill you another. The battle it is to cancel your membership isn’t worth joining it at all. I had been a member for years and only stayed because it was walking distance for me. Im not even gonna get into the reviews of the gym itself you can see that from other peoples reviews. Just save your money and time and go somewhere else. 👎🏼

Pretty decent. Parking and the gym are around back, could use some more equipment however the space itself is small.

Machines always broken. Dreary and depressing. Just cannot stand to go there. parking is the best feature of this gym.

Staff is very friendly. However there are too many pieces of cardio equipment that are out of order. While the maintenance staff is very good, there are some areas of shower & steam that are in disrepair, and need to be fixed. Ive been a member here for over 20 years and in spite of the above named issues, I still like this club & will continue to be a member.

The decline of this club is astonishing ... how can management allow this place to fall to such disarray? Broken equipment everywhere.Staff is never around to ask a question, dirty change rooms, broken lockers, etc. The spin bikes are falling apart ... I am surprised nobodys been hurt by the lack of fixing the equipment. This place looks like it should be in a third world country not in one of the best areas of Westchester. I cancelled my membership after many years.I wrote to the customer service, heretohelp... two months ago and nobody responded- they just dont care! Is the company going bankrupt ...?

Thg is place is so friendly and comfortable. They staff very friendly and classes are great. Mangement has done alot better since the years i have been here. If you ever have question gaby is thy e right person to help.

Decent location as far as NYSC goes. Cardio and free weights can get a bit overcrowded (no surprise), but its overall decently clean and has a good vibe. Has no natural light

Alot of the equipment is broken this club not the same when I first joined the staff the had were so friendly and helpful the staff now is terrible. they just done care. awful. If I can find another club I would go. the money we pay all machines should be working.

Very disorganized, employees and management lie about membership cost, and have hidden fees, their contracts are built for you the consumer to never get out of, and if you do your gunna have to pay more then what you think. They just send you the contract they dont even explain in the contract the specifics of their fees hence why they are hidden fees certain wording is used to mislead the custom into believing they understand what they are reading. They start off friendly and inviting, but once your ready to leave or you figure out how their pyramid scheme works for abusing the customer, they get aggressive. I constantly hear workers at the front desk complaining about working conditions and being unhappy in their work environment and being understaffed. stay away, nysc are thieves and once you sign that contract thats it they have got you. Enter at your own risk. If I were to give you a suggestion for a gym to work out at an try blink fitness. I recently went there after leaving nysc and Im really happy. STAY AWAY FROM NYSC

OUT DATED BROKEN MACHINES, MESSY LOCKER ROOMS WITH OLD MILDEW TOWELS IN LOCKERS.. the front desk lady said she needed to take my pic for security purposes.. I think she ment identification purpose. I could have shown her my ID but I was offended so I left.

Locker rooms are clean. Parking is free. Plenty of classes to chose from and no charge if you miss a class you booked previously scheduled.

This must be the worst NYSC Ive been to. Today I had an encounter with one of the members( Angel) he was very extremely rude. Why show up for work if your unhappy? No customer service whatsoever! I called co-operate report his behavior. There was no towel and only one bosu ball in the entire gym? 😳

They make it impossible to cancel your membership and the manager is never around.

Unfortunately I have to give this gym a low rating. I signed up over the phone for five dollars to join and $50 a month. I was just charged on my second month $69.99. heading over to Dobbs ferry to try to resolve it now. Do not trust the employees at this gym.
