This nail salon Do not treat minority customers the same as white customers. 90% of there customers are black. They rush their minority customers out of their business, with poor service.They take there time services white customers. Do not go there. We deserve the same service.

I called ahead and scheduled an appointment for 3pm. I got there 10 minutes ahead.. I told his mother I wanted the $25 pedicure (it somehow came out to $40) 🙄 afterwards, she calls her son and he tells me he had a 3:15pm doctor appointment & wont be able to get with me today. If he had a prior appointment, he could have told me. But the worst part is the fact that i sat there and wripped off the previous full set i had while i waited. 🤬 I work 6 days a week and this is my only day off. So now,I called a different salon and they got me in. This was just unprofessional.

Nice cozy place the people are kind but their very pricey $105 just for nails and pedicure, nothing fancy no design just a full set and pedicure.

Not a fan. I brought my own polish and specifically asked the woman doing my pedicure to give me 2 coats of white and then one coat of the electric yellow. She didnt really speak English and didnt understand what I was asking her to do, so she only gave me 1 coat of each. She didnt use any base coat on the pedicure and was sloppy with the application. She was also a bit rough with the callus remover and leg massage/cuticle pushing.My father also got a pedicure at the same time as me and they rushed through his and didnt even bother to file the nails correctly or put a clear coat. Once we got home, my father told me to look at his toes, the big toenail was sharp and jagged!Not a happy customer.

I WILL NEVER GO BACK IN HERE EVER AGAIN! I came in for a simple manicure & pedicure. During the entire time, the two workers were asking me did I want gel & I did not but they asked me 10 times no exaggeration!! Then they asked me another 10 times did I want my eyebrows done. Also They were talking and giggling amongs one another! THIS WAS THE MOST TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD AT A NAIL SHOP IN MY LIFE. I am from N.C. I just came to Savannah to visit & I will NOT recommend this place to my worst enemy!!!!

Got there 20 minutes before 3 o’clock, left at almost 5. Took my mother in law there as a Mother’s Day gift but they only did my nails. I like the nails but they really need to learn to work faster and use CLEAN equipment.Update: the nails only lasted 2 DAYS! absolutely HORRIBLE! Ive gotten my nails done countless times and NEVER had an issue with them falling off within the first few days of having them. They were extremely unprofessional and took far too long. Ill continue going to my usual salon in Bluffton.

Anthony is great. Really takes his time and does a great job. His staff is equally wonderful. Everyone there has been working there for years so you wont see a lot of people that are unlicenced.

Love Modern Nails!! I highly recommend! All nail techs are great, very affordable and it has an overall great atmosphere! A couple of weeks ago I came in got a manicure and pedicure while I was getting my pedicure another tech started working on my nails to make it a fast and convenient but great service. The same day I also came in with a picture of Tommy Hilfiger inspired nails, Angelica one of the nail techs took her time to make sure it was exactly what I asked for. Definitely will continue to come here!

Great shop with a chill atmosphere. The new pedicure chairs give the place a modern and up to date look. The salons staff is always friendly and always follow proper sanitation regulations allowing me feel safe and well taken care of.

This is extremely wonderful salon! Its located in a place thats pretty easy to find. I like coming here after work so that I can enjoy the relaxing hours and forget my work trouble. The decoration of this salon is very unique, luxurious and beautiful. I not only have opportunity to get the most excellent nails design but also experience the pleasant feeling with some nice music, some scent and some delicious beverage. I am excited to lie on a comfortable chair. I wish I get the same chair like that at home. The manicurist and I had a nice chat and we laughed so much. She is really humorous and lovely. Did I mention that their pricing was inexpensive!!!

Great place, didnt have the time to have my nails filled in before we came for vacation. They were great, friendly, fast. Very happy with my nails.

I went here Tuesday with my stepdaughter to get a manicure for graduation. We arrived just after 9 am when the hours on Google said they opened. The hours on the door said 9:30. We waited and I wish we would have gone somewhere else. Two men opened the salon and a customer went running in before we could get in the door and kept giving us dirty looks. The young man who helped her spent the entire time listening to/watching a live video on his phone. When we asked for a manicure we were questioned several times, did we want a full set. I finally said no, just a manicure and the man who helped us put cuticle softener into a plastic bag and put our fingers inside. Ive had manicures, full sets and many other services done at nail salons. Ive never seen a staff so rude to their customers. As we were sitting there with bags on our hands a man came in for a pedicure. They told him there was a wait so he left, then they proceeded to laugh at him and make fun of him. They talked about my stepdaughter and I as well because we didnt spend as much money as they thought we should. My stepdaughter smudged her nails before they were dry and he had to repaint half of them and he just about threw a fit. A classic manicure as described on their price card included a hot towel and massage with lotion. We were charged for the classic manicure price but he just painted our nails. My stepdaughter has chipped 3 nails so far and its been 2 days. I tried so hard to find something good about this experience, but I just cant. Something that was supposed to be relaxing and a treat for my stepdaughter for graduation was just someone putting bags on our hands and painting our nails. Im very disappointed and dissatisfied. I do not recommend this place. We will definitely not be going back.

The employees were very welcoming, the lady who did my nails made small talk which made me feel like more than just money. She didnt rush, which was awesome. The only reason I didnt give five stars is because my eyebrows werent as good as I would have liked and the nail polish looked a little too thick. But overall, great salon!

They shaved a hole in my eyebrow and pretended that they didnt see it. It was brought to the attention of the manager and he still made me pay for it. No one cares there. I will never go there and I suggest you dont either.

I’ve had 2 bad experiences at modern nail and don’t plan on coming back.My first time here I got a full set and was referred here by my coworkers. I loved my nails and got exactly what I wanted. One week later one came off randomly in the shower. Three rhinestones fell off also. I got them fixed and as I was there another woman came in with the same issue. Woke up missing a nail. My coworker later told me she had the same issue.This weekend I booked individual lashes through Facebook. As I was leaving for my appointment I was told it was at modern nail. I gave them a chance figuring that maybe their lashes won’t disappoint. The lashes took 2 1/2 hours! The paper got stuck on my bottom lash and the tech cut them(noticed when I got home). The worst part is they started falling out the next day. I messaged the salon and was told that shedding is normal but they can fill them in if I want. I told them I wanted them off and my money back. They refused.

So, I caught these guys while they were closing unfortunately, but the service was still amazing. I got a fill in and a pedicure, which looked amazing when finished. The customer service was amazing and natural! Love this place, and theyve definitely gained a new consistent and loyal customer 😊

Modern nails is definitely my favorite nail salon in Savannah! Always great service, and my nails always look perfect when I walk out. Lots of polish colors to choose from! Great manicures and pedicures. I have very ticklish feet, and usually dread pedicures, but they did a perfect job!

Honestly, I had never been so happy with a nail salon experience. The people were super friendly, the place was very clean, and the service was excellent. Plus, they are the only nail salon in Savannah that opens as early as they do. Its worth the drive to come here again.

This was my first visit. I was in and out very fast. I got a refill and a broken nail repaired. With a design it was only $35. Great price for the service. I love my nails and Ill be coming back.

I look forward to coming to Modern nails every couple weeks. Their prices are insanely low for the quality of service they provide. I usually get the sds dip on my real nails which costs $30. I always leave giddy about how good my nails look and they last three weeks or longer. The staff are a blast to hang out with. I also like that most of the staff and young and friendly. All around its great and it took me 6 months of trying different salons in the area before I found this one and I havent gone anywhere else since.

Anthony is amazing and does nice and fast work! Tammy is also great! She is better of the two for designs.

Modern Nails Salon is abosolutely wonderful; They give impeccable service and are very hospitable. Lucy and Annie are the best, I wish they were here in Atlanta because they would certainly be our shop of choice. My boyfriend who is definitely a mans man even stated that they did a wonderful job. I received a manicure, pedicure, and eyebrow waxing for a very economical cost. Thank you Lucy and Annie for making our experience a great one. Well be back soon!

Love this salon! 💕I am Very OCD about how my nails are done. This nail techs at this location are always nice and do my nails exactly how I want them. I recently went in for a gel powder dip manicure, and after they did not have the color I wanted (bright white), my manicurist looked all over their salon and finally found a powder dip for the pink and white powder nails (which I have heard is more expensive) he used that and didn’t charge me extra. He got the color and shape I wanted done perfectly. Will be going back to this salon for all my future mani-pedi needs!

Went for pedicures with friends. One guy started my pedi and then passed me off to this young girl. She was very sweet but obviously had no idea what she was doing. Asked her where she got her training and turns out she’s never been to school or through any training, she said she was learning by watching the other techs. Her mom works there apparently and is related to some of the others. Don’t you have to be licensed to work in Georgia?? Anyway, she burned my legs with the hot stones and just rushed her way through the rest. I was very disappointed as the other two I was with seemed to have a much better experience with their techs. I did give 2 stars because the initial guy was great and the girl did do an okay job on my polish.

This was a horrible experience from start to finish!!! I went in for both a pedicure and manicure today. When I initially sat down and chose the color I wanted, the nail tech kept trying to get me to get another color which I politely declined and stuck with what I had originally chosen. Seeming frustrated, the tech who did my nails began yanking and forcefully pushing my hands throughout the entire manicuring process.I then sat to get a pedicure (with the same tech) who not once asked me what type of pedicure I wanted although the other ladies (who didn’t look like me) were given the sheet with all of the available services so that they might choose which pedicure they’d like. He then proceeded with what I’m assuming is the most basic pedicure option they had (guess that’s what he “figured” I wanted). He again proceeded to push and pull on my feet as if I were some sort of mannequin they practice on while giving me my pedicure. They had no drying table for my toes, so as soon as I was done he didn’t help me out of the chair just headed straight to the cashier for me to pay for his less than desirable services. Since I wasn’t able to let my toes dry, of course they messed up as I walked out to the car (less than 5 minutes after him finishing painting them). Luckily, he did do some sort of “fix” job on the toe that had been messed up on my way out.This is all while he was clearly talking about my toes with some older female employee (and I know because they were looking and pointing at my toes while doing it). I’m not one who is super sensitive or has my feelings easily hurt, but today I was the most uncomfortable I’ve been in a while. I don’t mind people speaking in whatever their native language is as I realize a lot of the time it’s the easiest for them to communicate.Today was a total waste of my $60.

I️ needed to be in and out in an hour with a mani pedi and they did it! Great colors, my only complaint is I️ wanted polka dots and they didn’t quite understand what I️ wanted. But I️ could have gotten them to change it if I️ wasn’t in a hurry. Super nice!

Absolute worst service and experience here! The nail tech had zero personality, gel started to lift after 3 days AND my ACTUAL NAILS started to lift at the top of my nail beds. Of all my experiences getting my nails done this has never happened to me. I dont know what chemicals they use but beware they will ruin your nails!

Cheap.. Quality, you get the quality of what you pay for. I wanted oval shape for my finger nails and the man was adamant to do what he wanted. Gel was very choppy.Got the deluxe pedicure, noticed when I got home some toe nails werent even painted all the way, when the pedicurist put my feet in my flip flops she nicked a couple of nails so I have missing polish and bumps on some toe nails. Fast but not efficient.

This place hes definitely gone down in customer service but yet the prices keep going up. After two years if service with them I will not be returning. The older lady its very pushy and rude. My nails were uneven. My pedicure was rush and they made me feel as if I was wasting their time. Time to look for a new place

I have read below so many nice reviews about this salon, so I decided to try it myself, because it is not a secret - its so difficult to find a decent nail salon in Savannah... And I have to say - that was my biggest disappointment yet, no wonder all good reviews were so old... it started from me being seated to wait a bit and suddenly I was approached from behind by somebody and started feeling that somebodys hands on my shoulders, back and neck, trying to massage me. As being not so happy about being touch without even being asked, I still appreciated their thought of pampering. But it really started bothering me, when massaging person would just rest her hands on my neck while talking with co-worker, and being so distracted that her fingers caught into my hoop-earing and she kept massaging and pulling on my ear foe couple minutes, until I finally asked her to stop. As for the nails - I have tried to explain why I came hear and what I would like to be done, but I was interrupted right away: dont worry, I have a lot of customer, I know.. That happened few times.. And sure enough - my natural nails were filed so much, that their were twice shorter than they were, also they were given ugly square shape. More than that - I have asked to glue/strengthen couple cracks on the nail sides, so acrylic powder was put, but the nail would be evened out, so they turned out with thick sides and nothing in the middle, all wavy and unevenly filed (although she made my nails square, the one side of the nail was longer than another). I tried to explain again, that I am not happy, heard the same answer dont worry, I just put the polish.. I was so upset, that I didnt even want her to do anything else with my nails and just asked her to allow me to pay for what has been done. Not only she started talking angry with coworker in Chinese right in front of my face - she charged me 20$, nevertheless I didnt even get the nail polishing... oh yeah, and since they didnt have sufficient change, I end up paying more... Seriously, THE WORST PLACE EVER!

Worst pedicure Ive ever received. The salon was dirty, and all of the polishes provided looked old. The staff couldnt seem to be able to tell another guest the difference between a deluxe pedicure and a regular pedicure. I walked out of there with calluses still on my feet and my toenails werent shaped properly. I had to file them myself when I got home so they wouldnt have razor sharp edges. Definitely avoid this place.

Yes the prices here are relatively cheap but it shows in my nails. The man did them so quickly he barely even checked to see if they were all even and straight so I’m headed home to refile most of them. He painted them so thick they all look lumpy and have a ton of bubbles. The worst part about this place was how dirty and cluttered it was. Trash and junk everywhere, it was pretty disgusting.

My go to in Savannah for nails. Eyebrow is always great! My gel stays on for at least 3 weeks each time!!!! Minh does an amazing job at dip polish, they last thru everything. A Must try in savannah.

I came to Modern Nails because the salon I had been going to was doing a sloppy job and my pink and white nails kept falling off!! Lucy at Modern nails was very patient with the extra work that my nails needed; I even got a mini neck massage while my nails were under the UV light!This is a VERY friendly salon with great servcie AND their english is much easier to understand than other places I have been.

Modern Nails has always done a fantastic job on my nails! There are lots of colors to choose from for manis and Pedis. I never go any where else this is the place to go! I recommend this place to everyone who loves feeling pampered.

Pedicures shouldnt hurt!!! This place is a prime example of you get what you pay for apparently. If all you want is to have your nails trimmed and some paint slopped on then this is the place for you. Just beware of the blood. Cuts happen, I get that, but my tech was in such a hurry she cut me twice and my friend three times. I honestly couldnt recommend this place to anyone.

Overall they were very professional but the work was not 👎 the next day my nails were popping off one by one. I would not recommend anyone to waste their money

Very disappointing! Went there to get a mani and pedi with gel polish and 2 days later the polish started to chip! The service was down right horrible. Whoever did my nails caught an attitude and sucked her teeth because after she applied the polish to ONE nail I asked if I could change it because it looked nothing like it did when I picked it! Not to mention the fact that the pedicure I got was less that stellar. Paid for a mani and pedi when really all I got was some crappy polish put on and a slight foot rub! COMPLETE waste of money

Ahhh yeah...someone from this salon must be the 1 writing the positive reviews to this place great! Open early on Sunday but your work is horrible. in order to get a good review do betta work and clean up the place.

I literally 50 mins every two weeks for a fill in and color change to have Anthony do the most perfect paint job!!!! Still can’t find anyone closer to do a more perfect job!!! Usually about 20 mins for a full in color change with gel. When I do get a pedi that day it’s about 45 mins over all! They all make sure you’re very happy before you leave

Sloppy job overall. She made me bleed multiple times when working on my cuticles. The paint was not coated on evenly and I had to ask her to go back and fix it. The materials she used were rusted and clearly old. The first two colors I asked for I couldnt get because the numbers on the bottle did not match their board.

Girls day out at Modern Nails was like a day at the spa! Pamper plus, ladies, thats what you get! From the moment you step in the door and are greeted by a family run business, complete with cute as a button son of Michelle, the mama of the salon. From the back rubs to the great mani & pedi, this is a classy and very friendly operation. Highly recommend this salon if you want to treat yourself to something special at very reasonable prices. Aaahhh.

I give a one star because it wont let you give less than that. First I was annoyed that they try and serve more than one customer at a time because then somebody is getting a rushed job. Second I paid extra for a French mani/ pedi I had showed the head tech the polish wasnt taking properly still got charged full price and she painted again. Literally 10 minutes down the road the paint pealed right off my nails all of them. I returned to the salon she says they will do them again in gel are her exact words. After her tech does them she gets up and tells me that will be an additional $15. My mouth fell open. Had I known was going to be charged extra on top of the extra I was already charged for their horrible work I would have just asked for my money back and didnt even need them to take the polish off since it was already gone
