I cannot stress enough to call Carl’s Appliance Repair. He just saved us at least $800 on a new dishwasher and installation and a lot of time. Our dishwasher quit and we began looking at new ones which are backordered for months. We’ve been hand-washing our dishes for 2 months and finally decided to go the repair route. We have had Carl work on our appliances for many years. We recently purchased a new refrigerator and found we could not open it easily after it had been opened and shut (i.e. - because we forgot to get something out the first time.) The company was of little help - our engineers are working on that, and, in time the suction will decrease.So, I called Carl to see what he would do and he gave me a trick of the trade that his mentor had shared with him many years ago. I found Carl on line after many failed attempts to get a certified/authorized Frigidaire technician given to me directly by Frigidaire! His rating of 5.0 was what caught my attention and that he is close by. Carl answered the phone and when I described my frustrations with Frigidaire, he immediately asked for information about my fridge, found the model and advised me about various aspects of the fridge - none of which the Frigidaire people bothered telling me. We have used Carls services a few times in the past few years. Our experience has been of a pleasant realization the Carl and Sergei are not only competent but very plainly very honest. Not once did we feel as being taken advantage of, as the primary objective is ti fix problems without undertaking unneeded repairs, or bogus diagnoses. A few days ago the ice maker of fairly new fridge stopped working. We called Carl and he instead making a paid service call he advised us of simple investigation and possible steps to fix the issue. It worked and now can enjoy iced drinks again. in the end I am not surprised by this because Carl has always been this straight forward and reliable.

Carl was amazing! He called me back, after hours, and told me over the phone how to fix my dishwasher. No charge, when other places wanted to send a technician out just to check it out and bill me without even asking what the issue was. Its going through a cycle now, so hopefully it will work, but if not I will 100% have him drop by to fix it. :)

If I could give him a billion stars, I would. Where do I even begin....he answered the phone right away when I called and when I told him what was going on, he asked me some questions, had me walk through and do a few things to the dryer while on the phone with him and within minutes, had narrowed it down to three things it could possibly be. He gave me an estimate as to what each one of those three possible repairs would cost and we set up for him to come out the next day. He called before arriving so I had ample time to round up my dogs and put them out back (theyre super nosy and love to help any repairmen that come to the house...LOL) and when he got here, went right to work. Again, he had me watch what he was doing and walked me through everything so I could understand and if the same thing happened again, I could potentially diagnose and fix it myself! It was a quick, easy and economical fix and once complete (only took like 15 minutes!) he then showed me how to reset the control board on my washer in case that ever went on the fritz! All of this with the most friendly demeanor and never once made me feel silly for asking questions. I would HIGHLY recommend Carls Appliance Repair if you ever find yourself looking for appliance repair service. Im glad to know that he is only a phone call away should I need him again. After trying to turn the dryer on, it made a low buzzing sound and would not work. I called Carl, and he suggested trying something to fix it myself before sending someone out to check. He mentioned that things can get caught that stop the dryer from working. He gave me step by step instructions on how to do this. At first, I tried a few times but it didn’t work. So I set up an appointment to have it fixed. Later in the afternoon, I decided to try it again and this time it worked, the dryer started working.I called Carl back and told him it was now working and I could cancel the appointment. I try to take the time to write an honest and fair review for all businesses at the time of service but being a business owner myself, sometimes get too busy to write one right away, But when I pulled up Carls Appliance Repair to give his number to someone, A negative review caught my eye on another site. ( Carl has solid customer reviews everywhere when I looked him up)I have a business with multiple washers and dryers that I cannot be without for even few hours and I certainly was worried about the cost that could incur for repair vs replacing . Deceptive pricing couldnt be farthest from the way Carl runs his business,Carl sent his contractor over to repair one of my dryers. After replacing the part in which they diagnosed the problem to be, the dryer started having the same problem within a few days. I contacted Carl and we set up a time for him to come out and look at it. He arrived promptly and took the dryer apart, and still could not get the dryer to stop sounding like a jet plane taking off. He contacted a few local competitor companies to help him trouble shoot the issue. Carl having over 25 years experience, I figured if he couldnt figure it out, then it wasnt worth fixing. Turns out that my particular dryer has an ongoing issue and the repair costs would be outrageous.So while Carl was asking other businesses their thoughts on the dryer, he also reached out to them for a gently used dryer.He not only picked up one, he delivered and set it up for a nominal charge. I have referred Carls Appliace repair to several of my customers and friends and they have been extremely impressed with his professionalism, fair pricing, ability to troubleshoot the problem, timeliness and superb customer service. Very happy with the service and highly recommend! The first time our dryer went out Carl walked me through restarting it on the phone - free! A year later the belt broke Carl returned my call promptly, arrived for the appointment on time and repaired it for less than the rough estimate he gave over the phone. My refrigerator freezer fan started making a bad noise after a power outage one night. I left a message for Carl and he called me back first thing the next morning. Even though the sound had stopped sometime overnight, he stayed on the phone with me for 20 minutes to identify what the issue was, ultimately saving me the house call. For the past few days, I was unable to use my G.E.Profile Diswasher.It just stopped. Of course I assumed it was broken and needed repair.The next quandary was to find some one to fix the problem. He said the problem is not the dishwasher but the electrical unit it was plugged in. In other words, I needed an electrician.Carl could have simply come out and charged me a service fee todiscover exactly what he had me do. I contacted Carl as he had the best rating for an independent service repair company in Sarasota. During initial contact he tried to diagnose the issue with my Kitchenaide dish washer over the phone as a courtesy. None of the simple things worked and scheduled a service call the next day. Showed up right on time, very pleasant, and repaired the dishwasher for just the cost of the service call. I complained about the expense of a repair on a 2105 Carrier air conditioner/heater and he shared that it had a 10 year warranty on parts. Was having a problem with my refrigerator not cooling properly. Did a Google search and contacted a competitor of Carl’s due to the number of positive reviews they had. Person answered the phone and proceeded to tell me that just coming out to my house and diagnosing the problem would cost me $89. I Then contacted Carl’s and Carl actually answered the phone himself. Rather than simply take my name, tell me the cost for a service call and hang up...Carl took the time to listen to my issue, come up with possible solutions and then walk me through over the phone how to diagnose the problem. I was able to try what he had suggested and ended up fixing the issue myself. This is exactly how service companies should operate. Even if I wasn’t able to fix the problem myself I would have gone with Carl’s just because he took the time to try to help me rather than just take my money. If I have any problems in the future I’ll be using Carl’s appliance repair.

I was a pretty good trouble shooter myself in my aerospace job but this guy knows his stuff when it comes to appliance. If you can describe whats going on in detail over the phone there is a 95% chance he can tell you why without the service call. I preceive Carl as honest, straight forwardt and more than fair. He fixed my problem over the phone!

I cant say enough about how Carl helped me. My GE washing machine was just out of warranty when it had a major problem with the electrical system. Carl told me it was going to be a very expensive repair. He suggested I call GE customer service and explain my problem to them. He even gave me the number and told me what to say. I called GE and, to my surprise and elation, GE extended my warranty and the repair was completely covered by the warranty. Carl is an honest business man and I recommend his services whole heartedly. Oh, I bought my washer at Lowes and they were no help to me at all.
