Worst place to rent, they cancel reservation in last minute, be aware

If I could leave less than a 1 star review I would. I made a reservation a week in advance for my move. The day before the move Jason calls me and tell me they dont have the 12 foot truck I reserved and wanted to put me in a van. Unacceptable. It just wouldnt have fit all my belongings. So after calling back and forth he tells me miraculously one just got out of the shop and is available. So the morning of my move I get another call from Jason saying the truck hasnt arrived. So I drive to the location and wait. Mind you I was supposed to pick up the truck at 10:30am. Its now 11:30 am and Jason calls me again to say the truck isnt in Santa Ana its at their location in Fullerton. So Im now behind schedule. I get the truck and the engine light is on. Why is it on if it just came back from being serviced? Later that day I had trouble starting it because the ignition didnt seem to be engaging while I turned the key. The morning I was going to return it the same thing happened and it wouldnt start for 15 minutes I almost called for a tow but didnt wanna be charged for anything else. Luckily I was able to get it started. I will NEVER use Budget again and im not even mentioning the nightmare that was the phone calls trying to talk to someone helpful over the phone. I kept getting transfered from department to department. I will never try to save a few bucks by using budget and will only stick to UHAUL. It was not worth the money I payed and my original quote was different wildly from the final quote.

Hotel Terrace Budget rental. DO NOT RENT A TRUCK FROM BUDGET. My husband almost crashed the truck we rented when the back tire exploded after getting on the freeway after just 10 miles going 60 mph with only a few pieces of furniture in the vehicle. AAA wont come for trucks so he had to call Goodyear per Budgets direction. The Goodyear service rep noted the tire was a 5 year old snow tire and completely brittle. The entire tire broke down and blew out along the sidewall. These findings were not documented on his report however. He noted his boss didnt want to lose the Budget referrals. I did not want to pay the 400$ for the tow as the vehicle they rented us was grossly unsafe. The Budget manager would not address the issue and immediately sent us to Sedgewick Claims who required extensive documentation which we provided. We thought the issue was resolved with no communication in 14 months from Budget or Sedgewick. And then we got a notice from a bill collector. FOR YOUR SAFETY DO NOT RENT FROM BUDGET. I am not a professional tire inspector. At a minimum, I expect a safe vehicle when I rent.

Jason called me the morning of my move to cancel my truck reservation. I booked it 5 days in advance, however he said I was too late. I’m going to guess it’s not well managed. I went to budget in Midway city and I gave them a five star review

I booked a truck in advance with a reserved pick up date and time. When I went to pick it up no one was there. Hours on the window said they were supposed to be open, but no one showed up. Ruined my whole move.

Im not sure why this place has such bad reviews. I rented a 16 ft truck from here after uhaul cancelled on me (12hrs before my move). Budget had a truck ready and waiting for me! The owner was awesome, and super friendly. He provided us with everything we needed within 24 hours.The location is at a hotel, and it was well maintained. Nice office-library space.I would definitely recommend this location, and have become a loyal customer to budget now because of this location.Thanks for all your help, and making sure I had everything I needed for our move!

Im 100% agree with all reviews here, poorly managed location, made a reservation and they gave my truck to someone else, never rent a truck from here

This truck was dirty all around. Windshield had all kinds flying insect on it. Inside truck all stained wit soda. Not veey hygienic.

A horribly managed location. Could not contact location by phone no answer; or when an answer it connected with national number. Waited almost one hour by the time I could rent vehicle. One person working at the location and several people sitting waiting to rent a vehicle. Close down this location.

The worst part was to drive 40 miles to get the only truck in the area and find out that the truck was 145000 miles and would not start.Budget customer service were the worst and took our card and charged it and didnt refund the money instantly...they are doing 5 to 7 day hold..So they can get interest.This should have been credited back immediately..FRAUD FRAUD FRAUDTHEY ARE TO BUSY WITH MOVING FIREWORKS WHICH ARE ILLEGAL IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. ..AND EXPLOSIVES ARE I LEGAL AND THEY ARE BRAGGING THEYRE SOLD OUT DUE TO FIREWORKS SEASON...AND LEASE A TRUCK AND CHARGE US FOR A TRUCK THAT WASNT EVEN ABLE TO BE DRIVEN OFF THE LOT....SHAME ON BUDGET...STOP DOING ADVERTISING AND MARKETING AND COMMERCIALS AND PUT INTO YOUR LOUSY INVENTORY.DO NOT RENT FROM THEM GO TO UHAUL OR PENSKE

Cancelled reservation after plane tickets purchased. Couldnt find replacement and suggested I use another company.

Horrible!!! Made reservations for a truck and car hauler both said they were here... Well you guessed it, they arent here. System is horrible. Also nobody else in the area had a car dolly either.
