I visited Tourbillon in my search for a new every day dive watch. Amy was extremely nice and knowledgeable about the watches. My initial target was the two tone Seamaster 300 and I was pleasantly surprised to see the Fifty Fathoms from Blancpain and get the opportunity to try them.The rest of the selection of timepieces offered by Tourbillon is amazing and a pleasure to simply look at.I will certainly come back when I decide which watch to buy.

Its a catchy name for a watch store. Tourbillon is French for whirlwind and is also the term for a watch complication. This boutique carries top Swiss and German watches such as (price is no object) Breguet, Glashutte, Omega and a selection of Swatch watches that can be had for $150 or less. Swatch is a Swiss conglomerate which owns many of the worlds best watch brands some of which are represented in the boutique. Its a bright and shiny place with lots of visuals and gleaming display cases of fantastic time pieces. Not for the faint of heart, an entry level luxury watch will set you back about US$5,000. But its so worth it. You get top quality service and products and the satisfaction of knowing you have a finely tuned instrument on your wrist that will last a lifetime. Secret tip if youre curious: ask a client service person what a Tourbillon is and ask to see one in action.

I came here for a Blancpain. However, the security gave me a dirty look when I walked in, and there was nobody greeting or serving me when I was in the store. Come on, do I really need to put on a bespoke suit just for purchasing your watch? Probably I came at the wrong time? It’s just awful.

Well, you will absolutely not have this experience at Tourbillon, specifically with Robert.Just to be clear, Im not saying you wont get excellent service with anyone else at Tourbillon, but dealing with Robert has been such an exceptional experience, it would be a disservice to not reflect just how much impact he has on my opinion of the store.Once youve made a purchase, enjoy the moment. If its for you, allow yourself to beam. If its for someone else, reflect on how happy they will be when they receive your gift.In short, there are many stores to choose from in the city.
