I arrived 5 minutes before my first appointment and didnt get called until 15 minutes after my start time. Once I did get called the lady just said my name expected me to follow and know how their procedure works.She didnt explain where to place my belongings while I tried and figure out when she wanted me to put my chin on the X-ray machine...clearer instructions were needed as well as some understanding on her part because I wore glasses and she kept telling me to take them off before telling me where to go when I cant see without them??? I needed to know her directions before I took them off. After that I had to wait a couple more minutes for a room to clear out and for her to clean the area.She slaps on the X-ray vest for another set of pictures then I wait ANOTHER couple of minutes for the doctor to show up. I think it was Dr.P who checked me...Im not sure because he didnt even spend 3 minutes with me! He asked how I was doing told him Could be better and he just ignored my reply and went straight to looking at my teeth. From a 2 minute look around he recommended:1. Wisdom teeth removal (my previous dentist said its highly unlikely that Ill be needing them removed as they are projected to come out with no complications)2. Invisalign on my bottom teeth due to overcrowding (Ive already had braces and consistently where my retainers so Ill include a picture to let you decide if his recommendation was actually needed)The only acknowledgement of it being my first time here was when he asked why I changed dentists. Theres no personal connection here as a new patient. It felt like I was just someone they can take money from. Youre seen for about 10 minutes with a 30 minute wait time.Shouldve seen it as a red flag when they make you sign a contract to not trash talk them on social media lmao.Went to another dentist and they confirmed that I wont need to remove my wisdom teeth AND didnt recommend braces or invisalign...Wont be recommending EZ Smile ever especially since they replied to my Yelp review in an unprofessional manner.

I am currently residing in Paris, France with my partner and do not plan to return to the Bay Area any time soon. With that, will you be able to provide me with my previous dental history?
My daughter was assigned to this dentist through her insurance. After reading the reviews I decided to request a referral for another dentist. The receptionist taking calls was very confused it was obvious she had no idea what she was doing. She had a very difficult time getting me the referral I needed. 7 calls later i was able to get what I needed. This situation reconfirmed that this place was not for us and Im glad I read reviews before scheduling an appointment.
#1It was awful experience with EZ smile dental office. I made appointment for my whole family( my husband, my son and my self) for teeth cleaning. Then a couple days prior, I received a phone call to ask to reschedule for everybody because of deep cleaning day at office. Dont you guys have routine cleaning day and you shouldnt made any appointments on the day. I actually changed my work schedule for my dental appointment and I had to change it again. Anyway I rescheduled them but my husband needed to go on a different day by himself. They got xray, and cleaning and deep cleaning. I didnt get it why they need to do teeth cleaning and deep cleaning on same day. Deep cleaning should be separated into two days because it is very painful and discomfort. Usually dentist do one side first and then the other side a couple days later. Anyway they did it on a same day eventhough my husband told them he wanted only teeth cleaning done. A week later, my son and I was there for cleaning. My sons appointment was half an hour early and my was after my work. Middle school aged son was there to check in, he was there 20min earlier than his appointment. My husband was told that you need to reschedule an appointment because you guys are late. on my way to there I was so upset because it was annoying that we should reschedule them another time? When I got there they didnt say anything about that. I was about to ask but they didnt even mention and they checked us in. So..wait in the waiting area. So crowded and unorganized. I saw other people left saying my wife was waiting for more than 30 min, I havent checked in yet. We are going to reschedule them . People at front saying that sorry about that, we had emergency today.I guess thats a reason that you tried to make out appointment to be rescheduled. Our time is precious as yours. This place is managing terribly patients time. Then said we are late for appointments to reschedule. It seemed like they overbooked. I heard several people coming and saying that they have appointments at same time as mine. If you cant handle please do not take so many appointments at the same time. That was before we even stepped in.
I was told I need thousands of dollars worth of work that I did not need. I got a second and third opinion that supported my strong hunch. And there were several other very time wasting occurrences that happened over the course of a few weeks.

#2(Only allowed one review per one account)They took xray for my son and me. We were lying on exam chair in a separate room. I heard my sons annoying voice then later he came to me saying that a lady came to me and took a pic of my face without saying anything with her cell phone. I thought she took a mouth pic so I told my son to calm down and explained they need his mouth pic. He said my mouth was closed and I covered my eyes with my facial mask while waiting for someone come to exam. The lady who usually takes xray tried to take a pic of his face without permission at time of service. I guess that was not even a part of service. After my x ray done, we didnt even get a cleaning due to insurance assigned other facility and they told us at the end. So I observed the lady and she didnt apologize her action to him nor me. I told Indian dentist and front desk about what happened to my son after checking no customer in a waiting area. The dentist was very upset and tried to ignore my sons complaint by waving his hand in the air. He said they have a right to take a pic of patient and it can be done via personal cellphone. What?? Really? He raised his voice and he seemed so mad. I was trying to calm down and told them that is absolutely not professional and not acceptable to take his photo without permission. He went back to back side to ask who did it then came back said no one took his pic. I said long hair ladys then they could identify an individual who was it. Dentist went to her to ask about it. He came back to us and said you know what? It is not illegal and she said it was funny that your son cover his eyes with mask! It is not illegal. Are you kidding? It was not happened on public streets or restaurants. He was your patient and you should keep your professional attitude if you make a money from it. That means it is business and professional. They dont think it was wrong. Dentist walked away without apology. The lady who helped with insurance was only one said please take my apology . Dont go there if you dont really care about your patients privacy or any confidentiality when he is especially young. I had a right to protect him. My son was more upset and tried to call HIPAA to report his horrible experience and their action after. But I am just warn everybody and this dental office if they even read this review that it was actually happened. I would never recommend this place. Many excuse to change schedule/crowded with too many people at a time/unprofessonal/no customer service/irresponsible/ no apology from dentist.
