I feel safe being in the office.I am glad they accepted me as a new patient when I needed a dentist over a year ago.

As usual, another clean, easy and informative experience. I had my teeth whitened, and during the procedure, I nodded off . That’s how comfortable I was laying there with my mouth propped open!

Impressed on first visit. Office, I’m wheelchair dependent and the waiting area was roomy, the staff very helpful and professional. Consultation with Dr Fong was thorough and understandable. We were definitely on the same page as far as a care plan and future options were concerned. My cleaning with Andrea went well and she took time to go over my cleaning routines with me and make suggestions to improve. Being well versed in working with Delta was a big help too!

The practice is exemplary.I was rather apprehensive going for my regular cleaning during Covid, indeed, I waited 10 months this time, whereas I usually go every 3 months. This week I finally mustered the courage and went for a visit. They were well organized and well prepared. They even acquired new equipment which enables a safe cleaning process, including an aerosol extractor. I felt totally safe. It was a good experience!

Took me on time, office & personnel well set up for safe visit during pandemic. Dental hygienist was extremely well protected for self & patient with disposable PPE, including gown, gloves, face mask & clear plastic face shield. As always, the office is beyond clean & the thoughtful touches—packaged, warmed wet hand towel given at end of visit, oversized restroom keys act as gentle reminders to not leave them behind. Throughout my appointment I felt my safety was a primary concern at Dr Fong’s office.

I was referred to Dr Fong by my sister and brother-in-law, who have been seeing him for many years (since they lived in SF; we all live in the East Bay now but its worth the drive to stick with Dr Fong).I first saw him when I had a dental emergency, and he was amazing -- he came into the office on Christmas Eve just to address my emergency!! And totally undercharged me, considering the great inconvenience and all the time he took to (accurately!) diagnose my issue.It is always a pleasure to have my teeth cleaned at the office -- the staff are professional and courteous, and Im always seen on time (never any wait). His rates re competitive with other dentists Ive been to, so I know Im never gonna have any nasty surprises there. Hes a friendly guy, but most importantly, hes very good at his job.

Always excellent to see Dr. Kenneth Fong and his team. They are professional, polite, welcoming, proficient and competent! The reason for “not”a five star rating for this visit is because I had to wait 25 minutes to be seen at 4:25 for my 4 PM appointment. I had to cancel another plan I had made, thinking I would be done sooner, and I had to run to my meter to make sure that I didn’t get a ticket.

Best dentist I ever had and he is funny. Cleanings are the best and the hygienist are nice. Got a crown and some fillings done. Service is high quality and I love that they have back massagers in the waiting room and a hot towel after treatment. Dr. Fong and his assistants are absolutely great -- both thoughtful and considerate. My teeth are not so great and Ive been to a lot of dentists over the years. Dr. Fong is by far the best. Ive never had a relatively pain-free needle injection -- but I did with Dr. Fong. It was a long procedure (two teeth) and I had to have a bathroom break in-between. They were totally flexible. My car meter was about to expire. They helped with that too. Highly recommend.

After 15 years without seeing a dentist, I expected to be read the riot act about my dental health. Surely, it was not glorious, but Kenneth Fong and his assistants were realistic, kind, and firm about what issues I might have with gingivitis (that, honestly, my childhood dentist warned about), and they explained in a way that was actionable and helpful, with the why, not just the how. I also learned to floss all over again. It was a nice experience, as far as dentist appointments go.

Over the weekend a crown fell off one of my molars and I was worried as to how this would be taken care of in view of the shelter in place SF rules. I called Dr. Fongs office and was given dr. Fongs private number. I called his cell phone and left a message. Within an hour he called back and after explaining my problem, I had an appointment for the next day. I VERY much like Dr Fong; his warm demeanor and knowledge in explaining everything thoroughly; giving me confidence in his ability to treat my dental needs.At this visit I had a particular issue which Dr Fong examined and explained, but then was treated by a woman whose credentials were unfamiliar to me and not explained in advance. I assume she is a certified dentist? It involved a lengthy procedure, so my hope is that it was done efficiently.

Such a great office! The whole staff is friendly and warm, they are very careful about not causing pain during procedures, and they offer nice little perks like a hot towel, massage chairs (in the waiting room), and hot tea!

I visited Dr. Fong yesterday for the first time, and I am quite shocked and delighted to see how different he was from previous dentist. My previous dentist never took an x-ray and photos of my teeth. She never pointed out the issues I might have. Since I was not aware that I had any issues, I thought I had perfect teeth. However, Dr. Fong pointed out my gum recession with the photos he took, and gave me a specific plan how to treat. In addition to his professional skills, his office was very clean and all staffs were friendly and nice. I strongly recommend Dr. Fong for your next dentist.

Ken has been our dentist for about 20 years (-- were now getting older, but no worries for you, hes younger than us!). He was recommended by a good friend when we first moved to SF, and it has been a great experience from the beginning. From routine cleanings (often by his wife Diane) to extensive bridge replacement and implant work (required to deal with 40 year old bridges that were failing), Dr. Fongs approach, level of technical skill, attention to every detail has been wonderful. FYI, the replacement work occurred only recently, when it was obvious that the earlier work could not be saved. He had kept the earlier permanent bridges and crowns going for much longer than the usual life expectancy. Dedicated to his craft, Dr. Fong uses the latest equipment and keeps current on new options, but is always focused first on the health and longevity of you and your teeth, not trying out new trends. Its a friendly, caring and personable office, with easy communications in person and online. Theyre not the most expensive, but not the least. Neither is it over-priced or cheap. For us trust, mental comfort, and high-level skill are worth the budgetary priority when it comes to teeth -- it feels good to know that, with all the other aches and pains that can pop up, we can depend on our teeth not being a source of any of that as we head into our serious senior years. I show up early for my appointments to enjoy one of the message chairs in the waiting room. This office is smooth, punctual and professional. They are very thorough on the cleanings and examinations, too. One nice touch: they offer you a heated towel, kind of like flying business class but with more legroom. Theres bike parking downstairs in the garage.

They are really professional and the service is totally 5-star grade.

I have been going to Dr. Fong and Diane for years now - they are the BEST. This comes from someone who stopped going to a dentist for over 20 years after extremely traumatic childhood experiences with dentists and orthodontists. The entire staff is amazing - friendly, knowledgeable and put you at ease. And they fixed all the problems created by my poor childhood oral hygiene professionals. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Fong, Diane and their team.

The principal factor I use to test and rate my dentist is his or her administration of pain shots; i.e., if getting the shot is painful, I rate the dentist lower on my experience scale. (Over the years I have determined theres a correlation between a dentists shot skills and his overall dentistry abilities. With all my dentists my shot test has proved accurate.)Over the last 12 months I have had seven visits with Doctor Fong. (Yeah, I needed a lot of work. Get over it, I have.)Anyway, not once have I felt Dr. Fongs needle going in, nor experienced discomfort during the shot process. I herein declare Dr. Kenneth Fong San Francisco Countys Master of Shots.True to my shot test, Doctor Fong has proven to be the best dentist I could ever hope to find. (This is not surprising since dentistry runs in the family; Dr. Fongs father was a dentist, (I do not know if his father is retired or giving root canals to the Lord and his flock).Dr. Fong admirably runs a tight ship. All his staff and assistants are competent, professional, and caring to the patients.You can also rest assured that Dr. Fongs utilizes the latest technologies, techniques, and processes. His practice is streamlined to make your visit as brief as your procedure allows. In my book thats appreciated because I like to spend as little time as possible sitting in the electric chair (an unkind metaphor for sure, but nevertheless in my mind it is spot on accurate).Lastly, regarding money: as my father never said, everythings negotiable. Ask Dr. Fong for a plan of action on treatment you need. With that he will provide you a cost estimate. If you dont have dental insurance, ask the good doctor for a no-insurance discount.Many dentists provide lower price to uninsured patients. (You would be surprised at how many people for one reason or another dont have dental insurance.) In any event, I consider Dr. Fongs prices reasonable. E.g., on November 13, 2019, I had two major fillings done, appx. 2 hours in the chair. in. My out-the-door price was $650. While that may seem high to some, Im a firm believer in the meme with professional services you get what you pay for.

Not my favorite experience if Im honest but the staff do a great job of very detailed cleaning as well as a gum condition consultation comparing year to year gum recession..or for you-maybe no gum recession at all....., either way its always a positive experience for me.
