Wondering front end and the rear was not too shabby either. Very professional by explaining every detail of not just todays visit but also future visits. The front end is very familiar with insurance companies and helped me prioritize my future visits to gain maximum benefits.Tina who cleaned my teeth took the time to thoroughly clean every nook and cranny. She is the best and a real asset to Dentist Artistry. I hope they are paying her enough. In my 78 years of going to the dentist, I can say this group in top notch.
So far, I had only one consultation visit with them which was pleasant and very well done. They are kind and professional! Im looking forward to work with them long term and Im also encouraging you to use this dental office!
Wow, I didnt believe the reviews until I went to there. Fraud dental!!Especially they like to say they told you blablabla but when you were there they put words in your mouth and ask for a completely different price. Doctor is not qualified for anything and the receptionist pretending to be a doctor. Basically, they charge you for sutff you never want to do in the first place. So the best option is: DONT GO THERE!
Came in for a check up and saw Dr. Patel. Great dentist and the staff is very welcoming and friendly. I read some reviews about staff changing but don’t see where it is coming from as I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I started my Invisalign with Dr. Patel and everything went smooth. She is genuinely caring and made sure all my questions were answered. Can’t wait to get started with my treatment. Highly recommend this dental office!
The staff, hygienists, and dentists were all really friendly and helpful! Very conveniently located office in the financial district. I’m a new patient looking forward to continuing with this team.
Everyone in this office is super personable and makes you feel very welcome and at home - definitely not a given when it comes to dental offices. They’re willing to work with you when it comes to your needs, and the dentists actually take the time to explain things to you which I really appreciate!
Great service! Great experience as usual!
Terrible customer service. I was called by SF dental Artistry on a Friday that I was past due for an appt. I was able to schedule a session for the following Tuesday morning at 8 am. When I showed up, the receptionist told me my spot had been given to someone else bc I failed to respond to a text and voicemail that came during working hours for me. I forgot to respond, but why would they think that if I booked a meeting on a Friday for the following Tuesday that wasn’t a confirmation? The language in the text said nothing about failure to respond would lead to a loss of appointment.
Very professional dental care. Friendly and accommodating with modern clean equipment. Definitely recommend this business.
I cannot say enough good things about Sam Francisco Dental Artistry. All of the technicians are very thorough, but efficient and friendly (which is helpful for someone who doesn’t love going to the dentist). I really appreciate that Dr Moran takes the time to answer any questions or address concerns. The practice is also limiting patients, doing patient screenings, and thorough cleaning to help keep everyone safe during the pandemic!
They have really great receptionists, assistants and doctors. I called the place because of an emergency with a broken tooth and they scheduled me a for a walk-in appt in 30min after I called. My temperature was taken before going in (covid-19 prevention) and the Dr’s assistant made me ready for my consultation by taking X-rays and prepping me for the fix. The Dr fixed my tooth in less than an hour, taking the time to explain every step of what was happening during my treatment. Really recommend this place and the kind people who works there.
Ive had a pretty good experience at SF Dental Artistry. The staff is very friendly and professional, and Ive had almost no problems with my cleaning and orthodontist appointments. Its been clear to me that the office has seen a lot of staff changes over the past year or so, and I was a bit shocked at the apparent high turnover of staff and service changes. I hope that things have settled down, because I place a high value on patient trust and care. Otherwise, I dont feel comfortable receiving dental care at an office where they have periodic staff changes and dont keep my dental history in mind.Dr. Moran is a really good dentist and takes great care to make sure our needs are properly met. Shes very knowledgeable and forthcoming with my needs and treatments, so Im happy to be her patient during my care.
The most magical dentist visit of my life - really! I know it’s not common to say this, especially about an experience at the dentist’s office, but I loved my check up with these gals. They were very fast, friendly, communicative, and they magically made it supportive and uplifting just by chatting me up during my cleaning and sharing stories and compliments. Also, when I asked about Invisalign, I was quickly given a sheet that clearly outlined the costs and options. I appreciated their swift reaction and clarity around my investment - in the past I had dentists try to upswell me by hiding actual costs, so this was a really big deal to me to have that level of clarity. So, thank you! And, I hope you get that break room fridge 😂 You deserve that at minimum. Even with some complimentary sparkling waters ✨
The cleaning itself was fine. What soured my experience was getting charged for a treatment I didn’t ask for. At the end of the cleaning, the hygienist applied fluoride to my teeth without notifying me there would be an extra charge. Honestly, if they were up front about the charge, I probably would’ve been fine with it. Finding out after the fact made me feel like I was being taken advantage of.
Friendly staff and a mindful doctor; definitely recommended this place to other friends in the city!
I had a great experience with everyone at this office. They were very informative and knowledgeable.
Been going here for more than 7 years. Never had a bad experience.
I have no idea whether this dental facility is any good or not. However, I can state categorically that whoever is running these surveys should be sacked. I have never attended this clinic - the main reason? This facility appears to be in San Francisco (the give away is in the name) and I live in Melbourne Australia. Travel between our countries would have been a little difficult over recent months. This is now the second request for review (see my first review above). If they take as much care with your teeth as they do with their review process, then maybe you should seek another provider.
Appointment ran a half hour late, and had a poor experience with dental cleaning. Seems there are always new people. Really liked my previous hygienist.
Great experience with friendly staff Front and back. They are making sure they are taking the appropriate steps to maintain the office Covid free and always take great care of their patients.
The new dental hygienist seems really inept - I cant remember a more uncomfortable cleaning, and Ive had my teeth cleaned twice yearly since I was a kid. Id laugh but my inside molar gum is still oozing blood from where he left the tooth polisher - he actually managed to polish away my gum (!) - despite my stopping him to say it hurt, he kept at it!About halfway through I considered just leaving (would have been a first for me), and I wish I had. Im obviously not going back. This is an extra shame because their previous hygienist (Robert?) was awesome.
I love SF Dental Artistry! Dr. Moran is kind, knowledgable and made my experience absolutely wonderful. The staff was friendly, professional and handled everything in a timely manner. I highly recommend!
Love this dentist office! My dental hygienist (who Ive seen for ~2 years now) always remembers whats going on with my teeth and my life. Theyre quick, honest, and have a great office set up. Felt very COVID safe as well.
Do not recommend. This place is very unprofessional and turnover dentist very often. Lately the amount of complaints i have for this place have begin to grow more rapidly (few examples listed below)- Received a parking ticket after doctor decided to continue with everything after i notified them that i need to add more time to parking since they were running late. They refused to add any support here.- The dentist last minute changed my appointment time, resulting in me missing my appointment and being charged a fee.- Dentist here are very rough so be prepared, once they cut my gums when trying to scan my teeth for a retainer.- Multiple useless visits that could have been done with a simple phone call, mind you i have to drive 1 hour to get to the dentist.- ....This list goes on and on. Please save your time and find a new dentist to go to. Do dont choose SF Dental Artistry! Be sure to read the more recent reviews.
I been going to SF Dental Artistry for my teeth cleaning the last two years but this past weeks visit will be my last. I was disappointed with the dental hygienist they paired me with and he did a terrible job. What pushed me over the edge was when applied fluoride on my teeth without really asking for my consent and later being charged for. I am 7 months pregnant and I dont even use fluoride in my toothpaste, what makes him think that its okay to apply it on my teeth without asking. I cant support a business that doesnt respect me as a customer.
I had clearly asked before whether everything would be covered by the insurance and they said yes. And then they applied fluoride treatment on my teeth which wasnt covered and I had to pay out of pocket. I wasnt informed about this before when I asked twice. I dont appreciate this at all. I had also seen a similar incidence mentioned in other reviews below, so looks like this is a recurring problem!!
I had a great experience during my visit. Thank you!
I always have a good experience at San Francisco Dental Artistry. Friendly staff and personalized approach.
I used to love this place, but covid must have hit it hard. Office is rushed and chaotic. Any attempt to question services is met with dismissal and I was really unsatisfied with my experience despite being a normally very easygoing patient.Dentists give a messy, painful water cleaning that leaves a suction mark in your cheek and tooth and gum pain the following day. She also prescribed toothpaste without much conversation despite my never needing something like that before.Dr Simkins, who I saw here before covid, was awesome, but Dr Patel and the new team had much worse customer service.Hygienists make offputting jokes about potential tooth loss due to x-ray mishaps and lack of structure in the office.Receptionist is forgetful and overcommunicative and follow up for prescriptions or insurance is unclear.
They work with my schedule and changed my outlook on caring for my teeth. Definitely would recommend.
I have been avoiding getting my wisdom teeth for over 6 years and have always been advised to be put under (quotes ranged from $5K-$8K) in the midwest. When I moved to city, I visited Dr Simkins and he advised he would be able to remove my wisdom teeth with local anesthetic. He very calmly described what would happen and how I should take care of myself post procedure. The procedure was simple and he created a relaxed environment. As a person who has had a life long dental phobia, I couldnt recommend Dr. Simkins more. My sister, brother in law, husband and 2 friends all now see him.
Great experience!!
Dr. Simkins is just the best. Period. YOU HAVE A PATIENT FOR LIFE! I went in to San Francisco Dental Artistry today as a new patient after finding the clinic through CareCredit - I am SO INCREDIBLY HAPPY that I found them.Even during my first phone call, I knew that I had gone with the right decision - I spoke with Lai on the phone and she was super kind and helpful. I explained my current situation and I could truly feel genuine empathy coming from her, and after growing up in Minnesota, Ive come to realize the rarity that is that level of geniality and authenticity. She got me in the next day (today), and once I arrived, I was greeted by Casey whos level of customer service was just as incredibly high. I almost hate using the work customer service, because throughout the entire process, I didnt feel like a customer at all, it was more along the lines of feeling like part of the family, right off the bat. After filling out my forms, which were actually short and easy, I was immediately brought back by Bobby, one of their RDHs. He took my x-rays and photos, analyzing and interpreting what he saw as he went along. He was awesome, not only did he make that process super comfortable, but he really helped me understand exactly what was going on, which to be honest, was a lot. I hadnt actually been to the dentist in over 4 years due to working overseas in a country that had a huge language barrier for me. Seeing it all in front of me should have been incredibly daunting, but I just felt so at ease with his assessments. Then we get to Dr. Simkins - I cant say enough good things about him, I really cant. He came in and went through every single item on my checklist and I have never had such a deep understanding of my teeth and gums. Although I havent been to the dentist in a while, I have been to many, and NONE of them have ever taken the time to really help me understand whats exactly going on with my teeth. I knew I always had to floss and do all the things, but now I truly understand why. Also, I have seen Dentists that have more in common with auto mechanics than Doctors - trying to gouge me in any possibly way to maximize their revenue. Dr. Simkins is the polar opposite of that - not only did he explain in much detail how and why we needed to take certain actions, but I was honestly expecting that my situation was far worse than it actually was. I totally thought that more expensive procedures were necessary before talking to Dr. Simkins and I have no doubt that my most previous Dentist would have automatically advised on those - but I didnt have to have my guard up here, that felt great. We worked out a game plan and got started today with the first round - the entire time, he was super friendly and attentive, making sure I was comfortable and not experiencing any sensitivity as he worked alongside Edna, who was also giving me extraordinary levels of patient care. Im one of those who normally dreads dental appointments - I have a small mouth, a pretty bad gag reflex, and honestly, I just normally cant stand all the tools and what they do while Im having my teeth worked on. But this was actually pleasant - like, the whole time. Im just dumbfounded by that. After my procedure, I went back up front and scheduled my next appointment - as before when I had called and arrived, everyone was so incredibly accommodating, organized, and personable. With such a well built team, you truly have a great thing going on there - and I love how I finally know that I have a DDS that knows EXACTLY what hes doing. I just cant even truly describe how great that entire experience was from my first call to walking out the door with a huge smile my face that not even the anesthesia could hold back. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH! Like I wrote earlier, you certainly have a patient for life here and for the first time ever, I cant wait until my next dentist appointment.
Excellent professional service. Movies and TV during cleaning make it zoom by.
Dr Chada is a TRUE professional. First of all her office is stunning and clean and you can even watch movies while your getting the work done! SUCH A PLUS! This week, one of my fillings broke and I was upset. BUT, Dr. Chada, took complete care of me! She didnt even charge me to do the filling again! She calmed me down when I was upset and allowed me to feel like everything would be okay. I am so GRATEFUL for Dr. Chada. Shes beautiful, inside and out and really helped me when I was down and in pain with my tooth. My tooth feels wonderful and Im so glad that I sought her help! If your thinking about going to an amazing dentist, check her out!
I love it when these guys are in my mouth.
