At 2:30 am On 10/5/2021 I went downstairs to ask the Lobby where can I get soda in this place Because the Vending machine was out on my floor and she said oh god can you please put a mask on, which I have no problem doing, it was just late and I was Thirsty, then she said to me your room key won’t work in the elevator so you have to take the stairs and try different floors to try and find the soda machine that has soda, I went to almost every floor never found a Machine that was stocked, everything was out, I Expected a lot more for a place such as nice as this, big thumbs down, and your staff is horrible, won’t be staying here again or recommend it to anyone I know

I normally stay in the other big chain hotels—this was my first time at a Marriott. Parking was easily accessible, as it’s up the hill, connected to the hotel building. Check-in tan smoothly, and I had no issues. Front desk clerk was very helpful and very friendly. Hotel was very quiet; even if it’s on a busy street, the room was serene. The only sound I could hear, was the wind through the elevators or staircase. My room had wonderful views. My room was clean and fresh, as well. My only disappointment is that this hotel didn’t have a place to settle down and have drinks. It did have a breakfast buffet (at $23). There are many places foe happy hour nearby, or restaurants, or shops. Walking distance to Union Square (a block) and walking distance to Chinatown (less than a mile). All in all, good stay.

Make sure to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ .ᴄᴏᴍ when booking a resort. This web site will compare countless hotel sites and normally will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! Youre welcome :)! This resort is one of the best in this area. I have been coming here for years. If you stay for a few nights you definitely wont be let down.Beautiful views of the city from the upper floors! Worst room condition and unpleasant responses from chat. I am a Bonvoy Titanium member with over 260 nights for the past two years, and have never had such responses of which I was asked to come down to front desk for me to listen to why I wasnt upgraded to next level room with only comment saying upgrade is upon availability. Right, I dont mind if it was last minute reservation and if hotel had limited rooms - though I could see whole bunch of upgrade level rooms on reservation webpage. However, how they had responded over some of my questions about upgrades or amenities they looked very annoyed. On top of this, they had the worst room clean ever - where COVID situation can be sensitive - I could see dust all over the place on top of the table, lights and even toilet. It was disgusting to see around toilet that I was questioning myself if roomkeeper ever cleans it.My wife asked me if this is a 5-star hotel.I really hope they can change. And I will skip pictures for your appetite safety.

The hotel is very good, people there are very friendly and polite, is located in a very nice area too close to union Square plaza, shops and restaurants. Only 3 things I didnt like:1. You should arrive at parking lot before 11pm because they close this one at 11pm and open again 6am, I didnt like it.2.parking lot is really expensive, every night at $70 and isnt included in your rooms price3. Restaurant is closed from Monday to Friday and open just Saturdays and sundays. This is absolutely bad because if yo dont know where to get a breakfast, lunch or dinner anyway you have to find a place even if you are tired and you dont want to go out.

We booked through trip adviser and they said the parking ($70 per day) is included in the rate they gave us. My husband called the hotel multiple times to make sure this was correct and they said yes. When we arrived from our long 7 hour road trip to park they said there is a parking fee and when we asked the front desk about it they said sorry we never have included parking in our rates….? Very wrong of them to put misleading info like that. The rooms are also very small although I’m sure that’s a normal size for San Francisco. I do have to say it is a decent hotel with a nice location overall

Good Marriott, though a lot of the amenities were still inaccessible when we were there, such as the bar and any food. Close to just about everything, so you can easily access a lot of great food places, or take transportation to closeby Chinatown, the Mission, or Russian Hill. Tiny bathroom. Beautiful views, especially during PRIDE month. You can see the bay and rainbows abound.

We stayed here for two nights and at first there was a glitch when we checked in. I was worried when we were told our reservation was not in the system but then that was quickly taken care of and we were even upgraded for the inconvenience. The room was quiet, pristine, and beautiful. On our day of departure, our flight was at 6 PM so I asked Henry at the front desk if we could store our luggage there after check out. Instead he allowed us late check out so that we could stay in our room until we needed to leave. I have never been extended such a kind courtesy and I will definitely be staying here again. It was worth every penny and more. Would definitely recommend for the views, service, cleanliness, and lovely rooms. Thank you

👍LOCATION: two blocks away from Union Square (big bus stop and drop-off, cable car start, and tons of shops) this hotel has easy access everywhere.ROOM: clean and comfy. The three of us stayed in a room with two double beds and it looked exactly like in the pictures with a desk and a sofa. The duvey and the pillows were amazing and the products in the shower smelled terrific and didnt leave my hair a mess.STAFF: not only kind and helpful but actually went out of their way to help us. Special thanks to Kelley for extraordinary service and resourcefulness, and to the tall man at the entrance (whose name I didnt catch) who was super helpful when one of us wasnt feeling well.👎FOOD: we stayed for seven days and the restaurant was closed throughout our stay (maybe due to pandemic restrictions)PARKING: ridiculously expensive at $64 a day when you can find it at $42 just a block away (still not cheap but its SF)INTERNET: worked well, good speed, but I think it should be included with the room as opposed to almost $15 per device per day.

While i want to give the hotel a 5 star review for the cleanliness and the hair products they offer in room to use, which smells like Aveda. But I cannot. During our 5 day stay, one of the cleaning ladies left our room window open. Mind you, we are on the 20th floor and we have a 4 year old child with us that is on the skinnier side. I was fuming inside. This put our child in danger and people on the street in danger. They are lucky our kid is a really good kid that doesn’t throw things out windows, or doesn’t lean herself on windows. How irresponsible on their half!!! This is a definite no no and I must warn people this happened!

I had a great stay at the San Francisco Marriott Union Square. It is a modern and well-maintained hotel in a super central location which makes it easy to access everything SF has to offer. Check-in was seamless, hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and my room was spacious with a spectacular view of the city. Only downfall is that the elevators service a ton of floors and can sometimes take a long time so you may find yourself waiting 5-10 minutes to get to your room especially when on a high floor.

From the moment we arrived at San Francisco Marriott Union Square we were treated so well. We have never been to San Fransisco and had heard a lot of scary stories about the area. We were so pleased at where we picked. We went for an Oakland game and to see the city as well as hop over to Sausalito and Muir Woods. I feel Union Square was a good place to be, transportation was close and plentiful. There were a lot of places to eat and all of the mall style stores were in walking distance as well as China Town and picking up the BART, MUNI, and any of the cable cars, as well as renting a car. We did that to go to Sausalito and Muir Woods. Parking was really NO problem at any of those places and we even stopped over to the Piers that same afternoon and had no problem on a Saturday in early November. The hotel is safe, clean, and the staff is nothing short of incredible. We used MOST of the services and did not have ONE bad experience for the four days we stayed. We are picky and like to be spoiled! They EXCEEDED every expectation.

When you pay $400 a night to stay in a hotel you don’t expect just okay service. This is the reason I gave this Marriott 4 stars. Everything was okay. Just okay.Actually, the service at the member lounge was exceptional. the staff there were extremity friendly and took pride in their job. Room and restroom were clean but sheets had a spot. The whole stay we felt as of the company was trying to cut costs every chance they could. For example, No daily cleaning and purporting that it’s due to to helping the environment. I stayed at a cheap hotel in Vegas the next week and continually thought, man, the workers and amenities were nicer here than they were in San Francisco.

The hotel is located in the heart of Union Square and close to many eateries as well as access to the tram car and BART station. The lobby is not that big and the room was ok but clean. Friendly staff and perfect location right in Union Square and far enough away from the homeless that MY FAMILY and I feel safe! The hotels recent total renovations gives the Marriott a fresh updated look and the rooms and suites are larger than other hotels on the Square. The Starbucks across the street from the hotel is a nice amenity and there are no transients unlike the other Starbucks a block away on Stockton Street. The best part is the breakfast buffet and omelet station for the morning. Marriott has one of the best breakfast buffets for the money, and my family and I really enjoyed it. The valet parking is a bit high, as is is with all the hotels in that area. But at least this hotel has a full service restaurant and food isnt brought in from the outside to be reheated and pass off as gourmet such as another hotel does. I stayed at the Marriott Union square for a recent business trip. The staff were friendly and professional. The room was clean, well appointed and had a decent view. I felt comfortable and safe. There was a chair with footstool that was actually comfortable to work from which I prefer to the bed or a desk. Usually this type of furniture is just for show but this was attractive and comfortable. Nice! The location is great. I would NOT advise a car in this part of town. You can use cabs or the cable car for wherever you need to get to that is not walkable.

My family and I had a marvelous stay. This was our second time at this location and we were not disappointed. Location is excellent. You have the convenience of eating, shopping and nightlife just in walking distance. Trolly stop on the corner too. Very nice hotel.

Hadnt stayed in Marriott for many years. Had an opportunity to stay one night in this one and it was quite nice. Great location, convenient to everywhere, most importantly, Union square, of course. I believe this was recently remodeled, not much of fanncy stuff, just simple elegance, clean and comfortable. The only thing was the AC was quite noisy.

The staff here was so accommodating and helpful! We had a great room that was newly remodeled and very clean. The beds are always so comfortable, which is why I prefer to stay at Marriott hotels. We had a great view and the location is in the heart of Union Square. We walked everywhere the entire weekend. We attended a Giants game on Friday night and walked to AT&T Park, which was great and an easy walk. We walked to Pier 33 and all along the Embarcadero as we enjoyed a visit and tour out at Alcatraz Island. Would highly recommend this hotel to others!

We had a 10 night stay from May 15 through May 24. Through out our stay, each staff member professional, courteous and helpful. The doorman, front desk, restaurant and bar servers, and the concierge, Goeffrey Faller, were all at the top of the mark in service, and in representing the high standards of Marriott. Geoffrey was especially kind in making arrangements for us to celebrate our wedding anniversary at Epic Steakhouse. From the moment we arrived at the restaurant, we were treated like royalty by their staff. We had a most delicious meal on the patio with the Oakland Bridge as our backdrop. We also need to thank the host and hostess at the Concierge lounge who were always congenial and helpful. Our room was extra comfortable, and always clean and neat from day to day.We have many wonderful memories for our trip to San Francisco, and extend our thanks to the staff at Marriott for helping to make it so!

What a fantastic experience it was to stay at the Marriott, Union square SFO. The view was to die for. The warmth and friendliness of the staff throughout the hotel was amazing. Concierge level was impeccable and beyond perfect - Healthy food choices, cleanliness, view, service. The staff there were super friendly, extremely warm and totally involved with their work, esp. Yvonne ( I think that was the name of the African American lady ). Was totally rested and relaxed after a long hectic day at the conference. Cant wait to go back to SFO for leisure and stay at this hotel again
